Alone? (Lanji,Closed)

Had Lanji been a normal guy he would have been trying to catch a glimpse of her panties and trying to jump for joy. Instead he just gave a gentle smile his eyes on hers as they were moving in the closer slow dance for a moment. He listened to her speak and explained and was surprised when she told him that she wasn't a human but, a faerie instead. He hadn't noticed the pointed ears with her hair down like that and he was extremely curious about her wings but, he felt that to see them he had to earn her trust. She told him of her magical ability which was summoning and admitted she was comfortable in the forest. Yet Lanji was slightly pleased with one ability that she had. The ability to speak with animals. That explains why Fiat and Tacet were taking such a liking to her. Because she was in-tune with things better then people.

She is a most kind and wonderful person I will enjoy the eve with her and any subsequent eves that follow it.

"I confess I did not really gather that thou were not a human but, rather a faerie as you say. Considering I haft only had a short amount of time with thee I am still learning yet, I will strive to learn more of thee. The admission of the fact that thou possesses wings leaves me most curious I must admit," Lanji said and then he heard Midori's question and actually blinked in surprise as her for a moment. Where did this question come from? He thought of it for only a moment though.

"I haft no girlfriend Midori, I trained nearly all my life from young boyhood to the point where I am today. A Knight's training and my dedication to the Order left me unable to persue love interests. While a part of me haft thought that it would be nice to gain a significant other I also have realized that as a Knight I did not have the time to commit during my younger years. Now mayhap it is possible but, it takes time to find someone. Though I must confess I am enjoying this time with thee," he said with a small smile at her as he paused the dance and finally stepped away.

"Would you care for some refreshments?" he asked as he made his way to an armor stand and began to remove the chainmail revealing soft cotten and linen clothes underneath it. The cotton was padded noticably in some areas to help make the armor more comfortable and lessen bruising.

[Midori]

She had to admit she wasn't at all shocked really that he didn't have a girlfriend. He was sweet and if you could get past the exterior and the language then you could easily see the virtue in a man like him. But in the world right now there was just so much modern things going on that most would think he was weird or addled slightly in his wits.

However, for Midori being royal maybe or just a faerie looking in on the human race, seemed to see him for the wonderful person he was. She smiled as he stepped away ending their dance. She had a feeling he was uncomfortable being so close to her. She smiled and blushed slightly as she sat on the edge of his plush and soft bed. She softly ran her hand over the cover as he asked his question.

"I would indeed. That would be splendid. I'm afraid I didn't have anything since early this morning and am a trifle famished." she admitted and blushed again.

She tucked her green lockes behind her pointed ears revealing five emerald piercings in each. She looked around his room and watched him take off his armor.

"I like you like that. You seem a bit more relaxed a bit less formal that way." she admitted to him.

He gave a smile at her for a moment she truly was such a pure and kind person he liked that about her. There was just something about her that was untouched and almost elemental in it's purity that Lanji could not deny was there. In fact quite the oppisite he felt drawn to it in a way. He wanted to cherish and protect that innocence with everything that he had in both mind and body. Midori, truly a girl who had captured the full essence of Lanji's soul his call of a Knight vying to defend her yet a part of him that had never surfaced before vying to learn more of her. It was a conflict in a way yet at the same time both causes were united on the single purpose that they were focusing on Midori and cherishing her as she should. He gave a smile at her comment and nodded.

"Then as host I will be more then happy to provide you refreshments it is only fair since you grace me with this wonderful eve," he said with a small smile in her direction and heard her comment about his armor being removed how he looked less formal and he actually gave a small laugh. His laugh was deep and rich untained in any way pure and full of value and wonder. Lanji chrottled and smile at her.

"Practice Midori, if I do not wear armor then I will grow lax in my training. For a knight an armor is no more then a second skin after years of training and practice. We value the strength that armor can provide yet at the same time we understand the dedication and constant practice. For laxness without excuse is an embarassment to who we are raised to be," he gave a fond smile at her and headed to the refridgerator pulling out a tray of meats and cheeses as well as a bowl of chilled fruit. He sat them on the table near the bed and sat down beside her instead he pulled her into a comforting embrace.

"You shouldn't be without some warmth I would not want thee catching cold on this eve," he said with a smile at her.

Midori leaned back on the bed while he went into the kitchen. She liked this guy he seemed to enjoy her company and it seemed that he actually enjoyed her. She watched the way he moved so gracefully. It was like a dance the way he glided around the small dorm room. She couldn't help but enjoy the way he seemed to live his life.

By a code. She lived by a slight code but it wouldn't really come into effect until the time she returned home but that was a long time from now. The meat, cheese, and fruit tray he brought and sat beside her made her smile. It was all things she enjoyed. But when he sat down he did something unexpected and pulled her close to him.

She smiled and took the plate of food into her lap and then moved herself. She lifted herself up into his lap and sat there leaning against him. Her legs off to the side as she looked up at him and smiled. She picked up a piece of meet and placed some cheese on it before she fed it to him gently.

"So how does one become a Vatican knight? I mean how did you go from a normal born child to a knight for the Holy Church?" she asked as she ate a piece of canteloupe.

He smiled at the feel of her in his lap. Just that gentle warmth and presence so delicate yet so full of energy. He gave a smile as he held her close to him one arm lightly wrapped around her waist to keep her close as he held her. He felt her leaning against him as he himself leaned against the headboard of his bed. There was just a calmness to it all that made it all feel comfortable and relaxing. It wasn't something that was uncomfortable or done purely on physical influence. It was instead two people relaxing togeather in this gaze a boy and a girl. Midori being the smaller in his lap where his arm was around her delicate waist almost protectively. He felt the cheese and meat against his lips and ate it kissing the fingertips in thanks as he heard her question and gave a small smile.

"Ah the question is a valid one and I will answer it. A knight is chosen often from noble birth as I was or being a sponsed individual given the amount of money involved for all the training. I was chosen as a knight given my family's esteemed support for the church and trained from a young age. The bond between squire and knight is almost one like parent and child as was with mine. I trained nearly all my life so I could be prepared to fight for my beliefs and not sit on the sideline," he said softly as he lightly brushed his hand through her locks.

"It is hard training because of the physical coniditioning and for those of us with magic it is doubly hard because of the magic training involved. Being a knight isn't a test of strength but, also of adaptability, wit, and integrity," he finished speaking and looked down at her for a moment and gave a brief smile as he lightly raised her free hand and kissed it.

"I am glad however, that you came I am having a rather pleasent evening with thee."

Midori couldn't help but smile at the way he pulled her close to him. Almost protectively and almost caringly. It felt nice that his strong and protective arms holding her close. She leaned against him softly and closed her eyes as she at her piece of fruit. With that done she listened as he spoke and snacked on the meat and cheese.

He ran his hand through her hair and she smiled softly as he told her all about how you became a knight to the Vatican. It seemed like a really noble profession and one she was interested in learning more about.

He took her free hand and she blushed as his lips kissed the back of it gently. She moved her hand down and picked up fruit beginning to feed him gently. Each time she gave him fruit she let her fingers linger as he kissed her fingertips.

"I am having quite the pleasurable time myself you know." she whispered softly.

There was some kind of connection there and she.. yes she was going to do it because she felt like there was someting special between them. The way he touched her. His hands in her hair and the way he touched her and spoke with her. Her hand reached up and ran the back of her fingers down his cheek as she leaned in gently and kissed him gently. Her lips laying on his for a moment her eyes closed the green eyelashes on her pale cheeks.

Each time she fed him a small bite. Each time he kissed her fingertips enjoying her soft and innocent touches. There was just something to Midori that he couldn't help but, feel settled and at ease with as he ran his fingers through her rich green air. Rich and full of vitality having an almost natural evergreen to it rather then some gaudy hair dye that people insisted on. He gazed down at the young woman in his lap and couldn't help but, give a warm and caring smile. Midori was truly a kind and wonderful girl that he was enjoying his time with. There was just so many things about her that he was curious about. Yes they were both from polar opppisites as far as culutural aspect went but, Lanji didn't mind at all. He then saw her shift ending the moment the tray sat aside on the nearby night table.

"Midor....." He didn't have time to finish her name when he felt her fingers brushing his cheek ever so lightly in that soft and reassuring touch that everything was just fine. Her lips were on his and he froze in that brief moment of surprise. Decision was on the inside and he returned it the kiss. His arms slipped around her a bit more tightly as he held the sweet kiss on her lips. When it was broken he wordlessly touched her cheek for a moment.

"Thine kiss is one that can take mine breath away. I shalt strive to earn more of thine kisses because each one will be treasured..." he whispered as he layed down on the bed with her. She was on top of him but, it wasn't some random physical intimacy he just kissed her on the lips again. A soft lingering kiss as his free hand drew a cover up to keep them warm.

The kiss was returned and inside Midori smiled. This was a lot different than anything she had felt before. It was nice and sweet. So innocent and pure that it seemed to just call to her that she wanted more but no. She wanted to wait because a Faerie bonded for life and she was not yet ready she had not yet found The One.

His words made her smile at him even more. He wanted more kisses and she intended to give him some. He shifted her on him as he lay down. She now lay on top of him which was fine but she knew she could never sleep like this. After their second sweet kiss broke she smiled and climbed off of him to lay next to him. She ran her hand through his hair gently as she lay there looking into his eyes.

"And I shall strive as well. For a kiss from a knight is only given in faerie tales." she chuckled at the play on words that seemed to work so well for the new found couple.

To think that a prom disaster would have turned into something a lot nicer. She blushed as she stroked his cheek one last time before letting her hand fall to the bed between them. However, she stayed very close to him not wanting to miss his warmth or his touch.

The kiss was pure and heart-felt each kiss was like that and Lanji wanted to cherish her even more. Such innocence and purity that his young girl had made it all the more wonderful. He felt her climb off from on top of him and gave a smile at her as he turned to watch her. Feeling her gentle touches slowly caressing and ones to be savored. He listened to her return on the word play and gave a smile at her that was for her alone as he instead looped an arm around her small waist and pulled her close to him. Lightly he ran his fingers through her hair as he held her close and tilted her chin up kissing her forehead gently. There was something about her that he felt a connection to and he wanted to hold her close and never let her go.

"Sleep well Midori," he whispered softly in her ear as he held her close to him and closed his eyes. A deep and restful sleep with her in his arms is just the thing to end this wonderful and innocent night. Where they found out a couple things.

The soft kiss on her forehead made her smile and she nuzzled into him. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close. It seemed he really wanted her to be there right now and she had no where she would rather be. She kissed his cheek and settled down into the bed.

Carefully she reached down covering them with a soft blanket and making sure they were tucked in well before she closed her green eyes. His hand ran through her green lockes one last time before she felt his body relax as he fell into a deep deep sleep. She smiled and for a few minutes she just thought about how lucky she was to have met him this night.

She didn't know what tomorrow would bring nor what would happen with Corsair once she got to talk to him again. But for now she didn't want to think about it at all and instead closed her eyes. Falling into a deep and restful sleep her head nuzzled safely under Lanji's firm chin.
