Phae's world turned back to one of confessions, as Price's little attempt at lightheartedness was received, but quickly dropped. It seemed that Phae just had way too much on her mind, even without this whole kidnapping thing, to be in any kind of a good mood. She went into another long speech, telling Price that she 'wasn't the girl she wanted to be', that she'd gotten herself into a whole mess of trouble, and finally, ended with the words that caused Price's eyes to close and his head to shake disapprovingly. As his eyes opened again, he grinned, nuzzling his nose against hers for a moment just to be silly before pulling back again to meet her gaze with his.
"Are you quite done yet?" Price smirked, and with his left hand, pushed Phae's hair back behind her ear lovingly. "Let me tell you something, Lucky... it's gonna take some kind of anti-miracle to make me no longer care for you in any way. When you left my dorm room that one day, I never stopped. Hear me? I never stopped caring for you. Through rain or shine, thick or thin, no matter what kinda crap I had to go through up here... the only thing that remained constant was that I always had you in the back of my mind, that I always hoped that one day I'd at least get to see you again. Now that I have, and so much more, there ain't nothing that's gonna keep me from staying here, you get me?"
Price, a little shocked with himself after such an admission, bit his lower lip somewhat bashfully, then leaned forward and kissed Phae's forehead, suddenly unsure of what else to say and/or do.
"You have something you feel like getting off your chest, Lucky, then lay it on me. I assure you, it won't even matter to me in the long run."

Phaedra smiled softly as he asked if she was done yet. He tucked her hair behind her ear and she blushed softly smiling at him. He began to tell her that nothing really could make him not care for her. That even after that day he had cared for her always keeping her in the back of his mind and never once letting go on the feelings that had developed between them. She looked up at him as he kissed her forehead and she closed her eyes for a few moments letting his lips linger there for a moment. She was always so busy and had so much on her mind that she rarely just let herself relax but right now that is exactly what she was doing.
He even told her that if she had something she wanted to get off her chest then she should just tell him. She wanted to tell him so badly. She wanted to confess everything to him. She wanted to let him know what had happened to her over the month after she had made her choice. She sat up gently knowing that he wouldn't want to hold her after she confessed. She wouldn't blame him for just up and leaving. Being mad at her. She would of course have a broken heart but she would survive. Somehow. It was however her dream that he would still hold her and would stay by her side no matter what.
"First I have to tell you something. That after that day I left your room I never once.. never once stopped thinking about you. I got up extra early just so I wouldn't see you.. so that.. I wouldn't cause you pain. But I think.. in my heart I knew that if I saw you again it would.. not only hurt me because I had to make a choice but hurt me more that I could not be with you. And to see you hurt would be worse than anything at all. And so.. I tried to avoid you." she said softly looking down at her knees after she had pulled them up to her chest.
"Honestly, I thought it would make it easier but I was wrong. Each day.. my heart it.. hurt. Because I loved someone and I had to keep it a secret. Because I felt so happy and free with you and not the one I was with. Yet.. I had made my choice and you told me not to come back.. I didn't.. didn't want you to be hurt again. I wanted to be beside you to see your smile. The one that you don't show anyone but me. The words that you give me the ones that are soft and not filled with your cockiness but when you show me the true Blacky that is deep down inside. And so I remembered that day .. over and over again. Watching the stars with you. Falling asleep in your arms even eating breakfast holding hands. I hadn't eaten that much in so long but you were able to make me eat more than ever." she said softly as she took a deep breath and sighed.
"Which is why I can only hope that even after you hear what I"m about to say that you won't run off and leave me. But I can honestly not blame you if you do. Because it isn't your responsiblity and to ask anyone to understand or take on something like that is completely different. And so.. I suppose now that I've said my piece I should let you know .. that I.. I'm pregnate." she said the last sentence softly before dropping her head to her knees letting it lay there her forehead on her knees as she waited.
Would the bed shift as he got up to leave? Would he pull her down and tell her he didn't care? Would he just lay there in silence? Would he be mad? She wasn't sure what he was going to do but he deserved to know and .. and now he did.

Bam.
Baby.
Cough. Cough.
Price's eyes widened in surprise, as his mouth dropped open. Quickly, his eyes went down, under the covers to her stomach, which still would, as of yet, reveal nothing. Price's mouth closed then opened again, as if he was about to say something, but couldn't. He cocked his head to the side, hoping that, maybe, if he saw things from another angle, they'd make sense. No luck there. Price closed his mouth again, biting his lip before opening once more, again trying to get something, anything out, yet it was to no avail.
Finally, he sat up, not leaving Phae, but simply raising himself to a sitting position, looking down at her, who looked back at him absolutely terrified of his final reaction. He breathed in and out, slowly, not really entering a meditative state, but just trying to put himself back in perspective. Finally, after what must have felt like hours, he spoke.
"You... uh... baby... with the whack-job?!"
Bam, and Price was back. Phae had pulled off what was likely impossible otherwise, and drove him speechless, but it couldn't have held for long, and here Price was, back with the nicknames and general attitude most can see from him.
".... ew." Price smirked and shook his head, leaning over Phae for a moment, his voice softening as he spoke to her honestly.
"That's... pretty hardcore, I'm not going to lie. But I've got to know... if you're carrying his baby, what... what are you going do about your relationship with him?" Price was silent for a moment, about to ask the question that both knew was coming.
"What are you going to do about ours?"
Price bit his lip, worried about everything all at once, if only for another moment. After that moment had passed, Price shook his head, grinning once more.
"C'mon, Lucky, the whack-job? I never should've let you walk out of my dorm room that month ago."

Richard Price sat up and Phae looked up at him nervous and scared. She didn't want him to leave but would of course understand if he did. She bit her lower lip as he started to come around and she just waited for the inevitable ball to fall down and crush her. He called Junpei the nickname he had picked out for him long time ago and she would have smiled at that had she not been so scared. But when he so aptly said .. 'ewwww' she chuckled and a soft but small smiled crossed her face.
But then too came the question she knew would come. What was to happen to Junpei and what was to happen with them. She and Blacky. She took a deep breath she was going to have to make a choice again and she hated that. It was so hard but something was happening right now between her and Blacky. The way he came right to her when she was in need and it had been nearly all day now and yet Junpei hadnt come. Not even tried to contact her at all. She had a sinking feeling in her stomach and she knew that her choice had been made some time ago but she had been too stupid to see it.
"Honestly, it's probably the hardest decision of my life you know. Here I am 17 tomorrow and pregnate. We are supposed to get married, Junpei and I but.. something.. something deep down keeps pulling me away from that. Keeps telling me that it isn't time. I don't know why but I don't feel like its the right time to do that in my life. I want a family so bad but.. something is holding me back from taking that plunge."
She took his hand gently in her own and placed it in her lap. She stroked the back of it gently and looked down at it. These were the hands that could make her nearly do anything and she loved that she felt so free around them.
"I think if I had to put a name to what's holding me back it would be.. Richard Price. I think that I'm not ready because I haven't gotten a chance to find out if what I have is real love or what you would give me is better. I haven't gotten to do anything besides be a wife to be for over six months now and I.. I think that I want to be a teenager too. I want to experience life. I want to see you fight, I want to feel you hold me at night, and see your smiles. What I want Richard is for us to have a chance."
"But I would understand if you didn't want to. I mean dating a girl like me? I come with a lot of baggage and now a baby. Is that what you want? Tell me, is that something you want?" she asked looking up at him.

"Well...." Price began, his hand rubbing his chin thoughtfully, considering all she had just said and finally formulating his own thoughts on all of it.
"My mommy DID warn me about girls like you." He smirked, and leaned back in to kiss her gently once more.
"Look, one thing, though. Before you go running off saying things like I was the reason you didn't wanna get married... maybe you should re-evaluate things a little. Maybe you didn't wanna get married because, well... I dunno... you're only seventeen?!"
Price smirked, it was a little scathing, but if Phae knew Price at all, she would know he was just trying to make a point.
"Happy birthday, by the way. I never knew.
"Anyway, let's be honest here, Lucky. You're seventeen, and I don't care how mature you are, no girl really wants to settle down, get married, and have a family at that age. You just said it yourself, you wanna be a teenager again, that pretty much proves you were never ready for such a thing. I mean, you're Phaedra Weiss, bad ass renowned sword-mage of Arcane Academy! You've got so much going for you here, why throw it all away to get bogged down as a wife and mother? Well, uh, yeah... the mother thing, I guess that's gonna happen regardless, and maybe I should shut up, but..."
Price trailed off, realizing he'd likely hit a sensitive spot, and bit his lip shamefully and a bit awkwardly.
"So, uh... where'd Weirdo go anyway?"

"My name is Alastin, and I've been watching you floundar along for the past several minutes, I must say it's rather refreshing to see you stumble along with things given your general cocky attitude," Alastin said cooly and wicked a wicked sort of smirk on his face. Did he enjoy watching Price stumble along where he could have smoothed over the conversation? Oh yes yes he did. You didn't call Alastin wierdo and not expect creative responses usually involving the taste of medicine. Healers did have the best ways to get revenge. Normally Alastin would have been too meek to say anything like that but, Ziare had been giving him a chance to stand up to things. To try and be different so he could be the guy that she wanted to come home to every night. He shook out his lavender hair his crystal cross glimmering in the light.
He pulled in a roller table and moved it up beside Phae's bed where the two were it was rather cute and did remind him of himself and Ziare. With Junpei it was blegh, Al didn't really like Junpei because he tried to throw around what little authority the school had given him. With Richard yeah he was cocky as hell grating his nerves but, he was honest and had a soft side. Al was more interested in the soft side then the fluffed up advertisement that he usually sounded like. There was genuine care and feelings. That was what Alastin was interested in as he uncovered the tray and man could the boy cook. Alastin had went through the effort of making German Veal Steaks giving a smaller portion for Phae. There was also a freshly tossed garden salad with salad toppings to spruce it up. Also Alastin had went through the trouble of having sliced chilled fruit.
"There, I don't believe in serving crappy hospital food to patients. Just because someone is in a hospital wing doesn't mean you have to freak and give them nothing but, unedible foods. Just disgusting if you ask me," Alastin said softly as he uncovered the last piece revealing fresh garlic bread slices and he wiped his hands before backing away.
"Between the two of you you can eat it all. And yes I expect all of it gone with Phae eating a good portion of it." Alastin said as he walked over to where supplies were and carefully began fixing up a care package for Phae to help her sleep and so her nightmares wouldn't trouble her. There were also multi-vitamins included for the benifits of the daughter he paused for a moment his tone getting a tad serious.

He was right and she knew it. He was right that she was only seventeen and probably not fully ready to settle down yet. She looked down as he began to explain things after wishing her a happy birthday which made her blush slightly. She leaned against him as he told her that at seventeen she wasn't ready. That she was Phaedra Weiss some bad ass sword mage not a mom and wife. But he stopped suddenly and she bit her lower lip. She was a mom. Already she knew that. She loved her daughter already and hadn't even met her yet.
"You.. didn't answer my question." she whispered softly as she looked up at him. "Could you be.. with a girl that has a child? Would you still love me even though I have a baby? Because.. what I need is love." she told him and looked down.
Alastin seemed to barge in suddenly with his 'my name is Alastin' bit and she smirked. She lay down on the bed bypassing Blacky because she didn't know what else to say. He probably wouldn't say anything in front of Alastin and she closed her eyes while Price and Alastin exchanged comments. Her hands went over her stomach softly as she just lay there relaxing.
The wonderful scent of fresh cooked food hit her nose and she smiled softly. She sat up again and opened her eyes but what she saw as the first dish .. well that was it. Phaedra was up out of bed and into the bathroom faster than you could say her name. A flash of red hair and a door slamming was all that gave you a hint she had moved and not teleported to the bathroom. Bending over the toilet as she sat next to it she began to heave. And I say heave because you can't through up when your stomach is empty. It wasn't morning sickness.. heck she hadn't had any of that. It was meat. She didn't eat it, it reminded her too much of that class and the things that she had seen in it.
And so poor Phaedra Weiss was now hugging a porcellin bowl and moaning as she tried to calm her stomach. This wasn't helping at all. And now Blacky and Alastin were going to truly see another reason why she didn't eat. It wasn't that she didn't want to, it was that sometimes she didn't want to. And so she closed her eyes wondering if either of them would come for her or if they would give her alone time. She didn't care she just wanted someone to hold her sometimes in the darkest times, and those were now.
With the loss of her best friend, with her baby on the way, Junpei on the rocks, Blacky's skipped question, the Revolution, as well as other things piled on top. Phaedra was reaching the end of a short rope. Not to mention that she just wanted to be loved and no one seemed to offer that. At least she wasn't sure anyway. And she wanted to get away. Away from the academy for a week so maybe she could just be a teenager... maybe if Blacky still loved her they could go away .. earthside for a while.. and then come back later. Maybe a vacation would help.

"Aren't you cute." Price said plainly and unflatteringly as Alastin's little entrance into the main ward. He cocked an eyebrow at the pretty-boy who had since emerged, carrying food with him, likely the only feature, thus far, that brought with it anything positive in Price's mind.
Little else was left to be said on the matter, and thus, nothing was, as Alastin simply moved on, serving the food, and making it known that Phae was to eat a decently sized portion of it. This, despite his previous dislike for the man, brought a smile to Price's lips. "You might not be so bad after all, Weirdo," he said with a wink.
Phae, however, seemed to disagree, this disagreement mostly being in her stomach as quicker than a wink, she bolted to the toilet, and both of the males present would soon be hearing her trying to heave what she had none of into the toilet. Price grimaced, biting his lower lip in sympathy before looking up at Alastin. "Probably should just let her go for now... once she gets it out of her system, though, I'd go make sure she's all right."
Price had a feeling he knew what was wrong with the situation, but said nothing, lest he be wrong about it. The only time Phae had eaten meat was when he had fed her chili dogs that day, and, well, everyone knows that hotdogs blur the line of what can be called 'meat'. Regardless, he waited quietly after that, silently hoping Phae would be all right. He had meant to answer her question, but after finding himself stumbling over his own words, something that did not happen often, he just never had the chance to get back to the point at hand.
Hopefully he'd be able to let her know what was up soon enough.
