If Xeryth's eyes had widened any at all during Phaedra's display of sword-magery, igniting her blade with self-created flames at the mere voicing of a single word, which, of course, they did, it was her next trick that caused Xeryth's jaw to drop nearly to the floor. The boy would have fainted if not for his state of mental control, honed, of course, through years of all that psychic training. As it stood, he could barely move, and merely blinked occasionally, his jaw slack, before, after a few long moments of silence, he managed to compose himself, shaking his head and rolling his tongue back up into his mouth, so to speak.
"Astral Projection..." He began shakily, trying to find words after the spectacle. "I've seen it before... it's another of my own potential abilities... that was amazing!!"
Xeryth grinned happily and continued on.
"I-I've never done it myself, I hear it takes GREAT mental concentration! But, but, I've heard that those who are good at it can send their consciousness to far off places, even without having been there before! Back at Division 13, they told us that the Psi-Controllers were the ultimate soldier, being able to first survey the situation, then defeat the enemy without a hitch due to our abilities! Scout, Soldier, Sniper, the Psi-Controller could do it all... at once, even!"
Xeryth paused a moment to take a breath, letting the air fill his lungs that had been depleted in his happy outburst. As he did this, however, he realized exactly what he had babbled on about, and caught himself, his face turning to a small frown.
"Of course... those days are long gone... thankfully. Now, hopefully, I can learn it for better reasons..."
Xeryth words were punctuated with a small, but bright and hopeful smile, aimed towards Phaedra.
