Onira looked over the edge of the city, seeing nothing but wipes and dots of colors, not too sure what to make of it. It was strange really. Being so high above the Earth. It felt... relaxing. Almost soothing. Most would be afraid of such heights. They were of course quite high. An easy death for someone so far above the Earth. However, Onira had faced death once before from the spot, so the idea of doing it again didn't really strike much fear.
The young man reclined his body, usign a small lift of Earth under him so he could relax his back against it. He had only been there one day, yet he was already beggining to remember the feel of alchemy. It felt... warm. Like his palms were heating up massively, yet keeping it only hot and comfortable. No pain. It was hard to explain in full detail, but 'warm' seemed to fit it accordingly.
He continued to look at the sky, which didn't seem quite so distant. Heck, just on the schools third floor one was touching clouds. It was actually sort of nice. Felt cool and refreshing, like lying on, well, a cloud. It was a strange sensation for one who was standing. Especially when you open the window and the hallway instantly fogs up. That was a little annoying. But still, very enjoyable.
"Quite a place."
Onira's words were to himself, but still rang true in every sense. Arcane Academy was quite the experience. Especially for someone who was supposed to be, you know, dead. He had got many strange looks from, well, every student so far. Everyone seemed to recognize Onira from his picture in the paper. The one that rested underneath the headline Suicide Hits Arcane Academy. Or something along those lines. But Onira utimately didn't care. He almost asked for the attention. It was a little addicting. Only a little.
Onira sat back up, looking over the edge of Babylos once again. His legs were dangling over the edge, and the wind was blowing, as if begging him to jump. In all honesty, he thought about it. he had no real attachment to life, considering he didn;t have one to live. No idea of his past, his friends, or anything that concerned him. Not to mention it must have been quite a moment for him to try and kill himself. Maybe it would be better to die. He shook the thoughts away. They weren't right. He had been given a new chance at life. Or so it seemed. Might as well use it. So, Onira moved back to his reclining position, looking upwards to the open blue. It was quite the feeling.

It had been several weeks since Junpei had come back and since she had begun to heal the wounds that had landed her in the hospital. She was still dealing with many horrors of that one week. It had seemed to her that it had been much longer than a week. Today was her first day out in the area surrounding the Arcane Academy. She had told everyone she would be fine just needed some time to think. Truth was she had a mission in mind.
In her hand she carried flowers she had gotten ordered from a flower shop. They were made so that the shape was a heart and a ribbon went across the heart in a violet hue. It was the same violet as his eyes had been. And on the ribbon was written the one name that should be there... Onira.
He had committed suicide right in front of her after telling her that he would forever be in her heart. Today was the first time that she had felt good enough to do this and she had ordered the flowers for his memorial just this morning by phone. The roses were white and yellow and she looked down at it with tears in her sapphire eyes as she made her way to the exact spot he had jumped.
She remembered that day only too vivedly and the newspapers had not mentioned why her friend had run off the edge of the city and fallen to the earth below and in a way she was thankful for that. It was hard enough to heal without everyone asking her questions about his last moments in this world and she still had nightmares about it frequently. But thanks to Junpei she was getting through it he was sticking to her like glue since he had gotten back and she was very happy to have him back. She still had trust issues, but seriously who wouldn't.
She stepped up to the edge still looking down at the wreath in her hand she did not see the boy only ten feet away from her. She knelt down a few feet from the edge and placed the flowers with the stick down into the ground tears falling from her face. Her sword was at her side again though upon Junpei's orders she wasn't allowed to work out yet. Her jeaned legs knelt in the grass once the flowers were sufficently in the ground. She had asked the woman to put a freeze spell on the flowers so that they would never wilt or die no matter the weather. She grazed the ribbon with her fingertips.
"Good bye, my friend. I will never forget you." she whispered tears flowing down her face her sapphire eyes lost in the sorrow of the moment as now so close to the edge where he had run she could remember very vivedly what had hapened.
"I hope.." she began to sob wiping her face with the back of her hand her red hair hanging around her had finally gotten it's luster back. "I hope.. you found what you were looking for."
She bent her head and clasped her hands before her as she began to pray. She wasn't really a religious person but somehow it was exactly what she needed to do at this very moment.

Onira turned his eyes to look at the stranger that was ten feet away from him. He couldn't help but look at her face. She was pained, and deep down inside, he knew why. He could piece one and one together to find the answer. What was the other one? Well, the other one was a feeling. A recognition so to speak. He could sense some sort of connection to the weeping girl. Some sort of chain that connected him to her. It was the same feeling he felt towards his apparent suicide spot. They all seemed to spark some small amount of recollection. A small bit of himself seemed to reside in both the girl and the location. He sighed.
"Too bad."
His words were faint and only just above a whisper, probably even to be lost in the wind. But even so, the small amount of chance that she would hear him was enough. He didn't know why he felt the need to let the girl know he was there. Maybe the connection was stronger than he thought. Maybe more than a chain. Maybe an entire bridge connected them. But of course, one needed to think of the less deep possibilities. Curiosity. It definitely made the list. Maybe Onira was just curious. In the end, maybe he just wanted to know what the girl thought of him. But attention also made the countdown. He could just want to surprise the girl. Make her loose her breath. Make her heart skip a beat. It was all very possible. But of course, nothing scientifically possible seemed to do the school justice.
"Why do you weep?"
Okay, maybe it was a little blunt. But Onira didn't really care as much as he used to. He didn't see the world as beautiful as he once did. Sort of sad really. The world could be beautiful, but it didn't seem to want to. Probably why it let Onira go. Didn't care about the small things that made it beautiful. The small lights that attitudes like Onira's possessed. It just, didn't care.

Phae knelt in the grass in front of her memorial for Onira. She had her eyes closed as she prayed up to him. She prayed that he was doing well that he had found what he was looking for deep down inside something she could not fulfill.
"Why do you weep?" she heard the voice and her heart stopped all together. It was his voice, Onira's voice. Her eyes shot open. She couldn't look around at all. She refused to. She really didn't know what to do.
"I weep because you left me. I weep because I am here and you are not. I weep because I miss you." she said out loud her tears falling even more so. "I weep because I do not understand why."
Onira had left and told her that he would always be with her. And she had heard many times of people visiting loved ones from beyond the grave. But it wasn't that to Phae. It was as if she could feel his pesence as if his very person was here with her like he had told her he would be.

Onira cocked an eyebrow and, for just a moment, puffed up his cheeks with air. For some reason he felt the need to do it. It held no point or value, but seemed... right. He couldn't explain why, but honestly didn't care. Or atleast that's how it seemed. He deflated his cheeks and stood up slowly, walking towards the odd weeping girl. He could see her eyes were not open, which really gave him what he needed to know. If her eyes were open, then it was possible she was halucinating and thinking Onira somebody else. Possibly tears blurring her vision and making him seem more like another person. However, with Phae's eyes closed, all she had to go on was her ears, and they seemed to lie less than the eyes. Almost never.
"Umm... miss..."
He stepped closer to the girl slowly, even hesitantly. He didn't want to frighten her with a fast approach. In a way, it was like he was dealing with a wounded animal. Maybe a cougar or a tiger, even a panther. Something that would attack suddenly. Something that had a very high emotional rise for one who entered their 'bubble'. Unfortunately, Onira had never had to deal with a large cat before, and couldn't really give advice on how to get close to one, let alone help it.
"Uhh miss. I'm not too sure what you mean, or if this is some sort of proverb, but I'm right here."

Phae heard him speak again but this time it was different it was confused as though he didn't know who she was. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked to her right and her eyes grew wide. She was up and moving away from him backing up she drew her sword and pointed it at him.
"Is...is ...." tears began to stream down her face again. "Is this some kind of sick sadistic joke."
He lower lip trembled and her knees began to collapse as she fell not taking her eyes off the boy. Here he was the friend she was saying good bye to. It was non other than violet eyed Onira.
"Onira." she whispered before her eyes rolled back in her head and the red headed girl fell to the ground in a heap. Her hand losely clasped her sword her breathing was regulated but the girl was out. She had seen the boy that had killed himself in front of her here and alive and what was worse..or maybe better was he didn't even know who she was.

Onira's face was quite the comical one as the girl's eyes rolled in the back of her head. It was a mix of confusion, panic, and even a small bit of embaressment.
"Miss!"
Onira and his comical face ran straight towards the collapsing girl, desperately closing the distance. He knew they were a good distance away from the edge of Babylos, and that Phae wouldn't be seriously injured if she fell, but for some reason, he felt a dying need to keep her safe. To keep her away from harm. It was sort of an odd feeling.
"Gotcha!"
Onira's body collapsed to his knees as he skidded slightly on his shins, his only way to catch Phae before she hit the ground. His arms were stiff, keeping Phae from also hitting Onira's legs, which probably wouldn't feel too good either. For either of the pair.
"You're okay."
Onira held the girl almost like a very large baby, except he only held the top part of her body, letting the bottom rest against the grass. It was a very strange position, but Onira didn't mind. Even though his legs would soon be going to sleep from the pressure he was putting on them. But no problem. The obligation seemed worth it.

Phae it seemed was having an out of body experience so many called them. It wasn't one of those crazy ones where she's above her body looking down. It was more that she was hearing things as if underwater. She felt him catch her but she didn't open her eyes. It was as if her body needed a moment to collect it's self...right like that was going to happen.
It was several minutes later when her sapphire pools open and looked up into the violet pools she knew all too well. The ones that had begun to tear her soul apart and the ones that had ended it just as quickly. Her lower lip quivered. She reached a hand up leaving her sword in the grass as she touched his cheek lightly tears running from her blue eyes.
"Is that really you Onira?" she whispered amid tears.

Onira looked at the girl. His eyes showed a very distant confusion, but more dominant was the look of kindness and concern. For some reason, the chain that binded the two was tugging on Onira's heart, sending a pain into the back of his throat. He felt like the pain was somewhat reminiscent. As if it was telling him to do something. To just let something go. but he couldn't place it. The pain seemed to move up to a heat in his eyes, that flowed gently away to Phae's cheek. He knew nopw what he was doing, but had yet to figure out why. He was crying. But they were not regular tears. They were tears that transcended the shell. The wall that blocked the body from remembering what the mind had to offer. But the salty droplets past right through. The tears of the old Onira slid through the wall and to the bodies eyes. Truly a remarkable moment. When the real Onira slowly seeped out. In just a few small drops.
"Yes miss, my name is Onira."
He was smiling now, showing a very compassionate expression. Like the tears, it felt odd. It felt foreign to smile. Like it was something he had done before, but had just forgotten. Then again, almost eveyrthing seemed to feel liek that. Distant.

Phae looked up and saw the tears fall from his face and she knew it was him. She could tell. That softness in his eyes the way those violet eyes pierced right through her. And Phae in her happiness and in her joy at seeing him alive moved quickly.
The moved up and wrapped her arms around him holding him tightly to her. It was then her tears really fell and the sobs that had been coming all along finally got out as she sat there in the comfort of a friends arms but in the arms of a stranger as well. Though she knew some deep part of Onira did remember her she could easily tell that his memory was gone and the last month he had not remembered why he jumped or that he had done it in front of her.
"I'm so happy you are safe. And alive." she whispered inbetween sobs.
She stayed there holding this violet eyed boy tightly to her as she rocked back and forth only slightly getting out all the sorrow she had felt over the last weeks.

Onira almost fell backward in surprise. The girl seemed to have more energy as she let on. Most of it being used to squeeze and cry. But, Onira's shoulder could take the tears, and his chest could take the squeezing. It was obvious to him now that the girl needed somebody. Especially him. So, he wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on he shoulder as she let out her sorrows. He could only think of two words to answer the girl with.
"I know."
In actual reality, he didn't know. Hadn't known for quite a time. Well, actually, about a month he hadn't known. Hadn't known his life, his friends, even where he lived. But, for a moment. For just the while as Phae held him, he had love. Even when all his memories were gone, he still had that. Which made him think.
Onira gently fidgited (if that's how you spell it) with a small silver chain around his neck for a moment. He placed his fingers at the back where the two sides connected, and slowly slipped it off, letting it rest in his hand. He pushed Phae away slowly and put the chained pendant in to her hand, his face now becoming blank once again. But his voice showed feeling. Atleast some.
"I think... you should have this."

He returned her embrace and she didn't know if it was him or if it was just that this strange girl was crying and he felt obligated to do this. But to be in the arms of her friend were more comforting than ever. But then he did something she would never have expected in so many thoughts. He pulled her away slightly and placed something in her hand that he said she should have.
She sniffed and wiped her eyes looking down and her heart stopped. For in her hand was the heart necklace he had made for her on the day they first met. She looked up at him her eyes wet with more tears her lip trembling.
"You made this for me the day we first met." she whispered and her sobs racked her body once again as she put the necklace on her neck. The heart pendant falling where it always did right in the hollow of her neck before she moved back hugging Onira once more.
"What miracle made you come back to me? I missed you." she whispered as she cried more. Her sword forgotten in the grass and her body racked with sobs. "My friend."
"What has been happening? What happened... you jumped...you jumped I saw you jump...Oh God ... I saw you jump." she whispered as she continued to cry.

Onira gave no expression. He didn't know what kind of expression to give, really. Everything was just too awkward to him. Too different and too foreign. One minute the girl was crying, then she was happy, then she was crying again. It was just too wierd.
"Uhh... miss. Would you please stop crying? I'm not too sure what to do when you're crying. It's sort of... different. Is there something I can do to help you?"
Onira's arms were pushed into the grass behind him, keeping himf rom falling backwards. The girl was pushing on him pretty hard, and it made him feel... awkward. Some of him felt he should enjoy the girl. Embrace her presence. Possibly even return the emotions and give the girl a hug. But, another side of him said to just stay away. It's unneeded to care about others. Just remain to yourself. Either way, Onira had a feeling the day wouldn't turn out well.
OOC: Sorry, it's short.

Phae heard his words and she moved back. This was not the Onira she had been friends with. Same body, yes. But his mind was gone. He didn't remember her or even register emotions anymore. She wiped her cheeks removing the tears from them and scooted away from the boy that was once her friend.
She picked up her forgotten sword and wiped the blade on her jeans before returning it to the scabbard. She wiped away more tears that were falling from her eyes. She kept her distance from the boy as it seemed he was uncomfortable with her touch and uncomfortable also in the fact that she knew him and he didn't know her.
She stood up and moved back over to the flowers touching them one last time. For it seemed that though his body was back his mind was gone and too was the friend she had once had.
"Goodbye dear friend." she whispered.
She turned to look at the new Onira one last time tears welling in her eyes at the sight of him. His eyes, his voice, his touch, but it wasn't him. The Onira she knew was gone.
"Sorry, sorry to have bothered you." she whispered to him and began to walk away.

"Uhh... but... I... wasn't trying to... I mean... I wanted to... I mean... I meant for you... to... like... stop crying. Not make you more sad. Umm... I... uhh... didn't mean to make you... like... cry more."
Onira was in deep now. It seemed what he had done didn't quite register right. He just wanted her to stop crying, not be mroe sad. Maybe he said it wrong. Maybe he was supposed to accent something more. Or maybe it was his expression. He didn't know how it worked. Didn't know what to do. So, he left it to impulse.
Onira instantly ran towards Phae and jumped infront of her, landing flat on his face, and providing nothing more than a speed-bump. Not quite the wall he was hoping for. He turned his head towards Phae, trying to keep the dirt from muffling his voice.
"Please don't go. I'm sorry I'm not who you remember. I'm sorry I'm not who you want me to be. I'm sorry I'm not the person you know, but if I can, I'd like to be that person again. However, my memories. It's like there's a wall between me and my past. Something I can't quite reach. If I could I'd take down that wall, but I can't. And this is all that remains. I know somewhere I know you better, but here, I'm just... free. Like I don't know what I am or who I should be. I'm sorry I'm not who you know, but please, atleast try and like who I am now."
In the words, another small bit of Onira seeped through. Moved like a ghost through the cracks. Giving the shell maybe a small bit of emotion to go on. Maybe some sort of feeling.
