Phoebe was even more nervous than ever right now as she put the finishing touches on her outfit. She was going to surprise Xeryth. She was brushing her short red hair out after her shower.
Xeryth? Could you do me a favor, love? Could you get dressed in something nice. I'm coming over in fifteen minutes.
Smiling brightly knowing that he most likely would do it and not think too much about it as she went over there frequently his dorm not too far from her own. She moved to her closet and pulled out a short black dress. It had long flowing sleeves and sparkled with small silver threads woven through the sheer material that would cover her pale arms. The dresses torso hung on her body as it was stretchy material. Her waist and other features shown well. The skirt flowed out around her in loose fabric that would move when she danced and when she walked. The skirt fell to about three inches above the knee.
Her hair she left down and placed silver hoops in her ears. She placed a small thin silver bracelet on her wrist along with a watch. She slipped on her high heeled sandles that were black matching her dress and looked at the clock. It was time.
She grabbed a gift she had bought for him in the city the other day. A new philosophy book he didn't have. She smiled. It was wrapped in black wrapping paper a silver ribbon wrapped around hit. She stepped out of her own dorm and four doors later she was at his.
Knock Knock.
Now the supreme amount of nerves coursing through her body was going to make her want to run back to her room and just hide. But he knew that she was coming and she was going to do this right. She wanted them to have a date. They had kinda skipped that part and she was aiming to bring it back.

Xeryth was sitting in his room, reading as usual. This time it was a book on Magickal theory, attempting to explain in various methods the origin, purpose, and the general practice of Magick. Poring over it, Xeryth was certainly more than surprised at the voice in his mind. The shock nearly caused him to fall over, kicking out and kicking his chair straight over. He would've landed on his back, in fact, if he hadn't kicked in his telekinesis at the last moment, catching his chair mentally and hovering at an odd angle, with only the back legs still on the ground, hesitating a moment before first lowering himself back to normal before responding in kind, visualizing his girlfriend in his mind (not a difficult task at all, mind you) and speaking back.
"I'll do my best."
Even with Xeryth's confident inner self, 'I'll do my best' was all he could muster, for one important reason. The boy simply had nothing 'nice' to wear, by most standards. He had been given nothing but regular clothes to wear, lots of plain shirts and pants, as the poor boy had never thought he'd need anything more. Regardless, he had fifteen minutes, clothes or no clothes, and would rather Phoebe not walk in on him naked.
Rushing to the closet, Xeryth flung it open and hastily sifted through hanger after hanger of black and grey long-sleeved shirts. Finally, shining like a beacon, at the end of the row, something Xeryth was almost sure wasn't his, it was almost too good to be true: A light grey button shirt and khaki pants.
Now how did that even get there, I wonder?
Wasting little more time with questions, Xeryth quickly changed into the clothes, and was buttoning the last button he intended to, the third from the top, as the door was knocked upon. Opening it with a simply wave of telekinesis, Xeryth turned his head to see Phoebe, standing in the doorway in all her splendor.
"You... you're... beautiful..."
It was all the poor boy could stammer out as he stood there, simply staring at the girl who had came upon his doorway.

The door swung open and Phoebe stepped just inside enough to close the door behind her. She had been in there a few times and she liked it. She was pretty comfortable now.
Upon hearing Xeryth's comment she blushed deeply and smiled looking him over and yes he did look nice as well. The gray shirt somehow made his hair look even brighter and his khaki pants were a nice change from the normal ones. He really did clean up nicely.
"You look splendid Xeryth." she whispered and blushed deeper her hands hidden behind her back.
Taking a deep breath nervous for some reason and she leaned over kissing him gently on the lips her fingertips brushing his cheek. She blushed a deeper shade of red and pulled back. She wondered silently if she would ever be able to kiss him without blushing.
"Oh!" she pulled out the gift. It was for no special reason just because she liked no.. loved Xeryth and had seen this and thought immediatly of him. The black paper was shinny and the silver ribbon seemed to gleam off of it. "Here, I got this for you. I don't think you have it and well.. I thought maybe you might like it.. and so I got it hopeing.. that you would. So .. I'm going to stop rambling now."
She giggled and held the gift out for Xeryth. She would wait for him to take it and then her hands would clasp in front of her as she waited.
"We are going on a date tonight. I have made us reservations." she said with another blush crossing her features. "Hehe."

Xeryth grinned slightly as Phoebe entered the room, returning his compliment in kind. He opened his mouth to say 'thanks' in some way, shape, form or fashion, but it was greeted instead by Phoebe, taking a deep breath and emanating wave after wave of nervousness, almost enough to knock the poor young psychic over, and leaning in and kissing him gently on the lips. Still surprised at such actions, Xeryth blushed a deep red and returned the kiss as best as possible, regardless of his surprise at the action.
Phoebe then offered the black gift-wrapped rectangle towards the boy, telling him that she had bought him this. It caused Xeryth to look over at her with a certain worry. The boy had not asked for anything, and was certainly not expecting it. This caused a problem for Xeryth, only in that now he felt a bit obligated to extend the same courtesy for Phoebe, yet simply could not because of his financial situation, or rather, lack of one. He smiled despite himself, however. "Th-thank you..." he said as he very carefully untied the ribbon and rather meticulously unwrapped the gift, rather than tearing into it. He smiled as he saw the book, a Zoroaster copy that he had never seen before. His eyes widened at the realization of how hard to find such texts were. He wasn't sure if Phoebe knew it or not, but it was definitely a find.
"Ph-Phoebe.... thanks.... thanks a lot... it's wonderful..." he barely stammered out as he flipped through the pages, making sure the book wasn't just some joke, a cover with blank pages constructed merely to fool some stupid buyer. He put the book down on his desk, not wanting to get too absorbed in it and leave his poor... his poor girlfriend, he thought with an internal grin, waiting.
"A... a date?" Xeryth suddenly stammered again as Phoebe related the plans for the evening. "We're... a what? How? Who... now?"
Clearly, poor Xeryth was confused, and it would be up to Phoebe to guide him through this, if at least for the moment.

Phoebe watched with nervous and happy eyes as he slowly almost painstakingly slowly unwrapped her gift. Her hands one wringing the other as she watched hoping that he would like it and didn't already have it. She didn't know but all she could do was wait.
She looked at his face. Hoping.. was that a happy look? Sad? Surprised? Maybe a mix of a few. She bit her lower lip watching his every move. Oh no, he didn't like it. She knew it. He placed it on the desk after flipping through the pages. It was a bad gift, a bad idea, and she was about to find out. She sighed audibly as he said it was wonderful. Thank the Lord he had indeed liked it.
She smiled as he seemed to not understand or at least be flustered by the prospect of a date.
"We're going to a nice dinner. And I have some other plans as well but those.. are a secret. For now." she blushed deeply and stepped forward. "Will you come with me? I have something I want to say."
The deepest red blush came over the girls face and she let her head fall her red hair pushing forward to hide her face from his view.

Xeryth quietly nodded as she spoke about what exactly the night would entail. It all sounded so... so... so formal, and formal was something he knew absolutely nothing of. The secret, afterwards, intrigued him, and he showed it with small, curious smile, his eyes wide and looking up at Phoebe's, trying to discern what it was she... wait...
Xeryth cocked his head to the side, as she then mentioned she had something to tell him. She blushed read, and Xeryth didn't have to feel the nervousness rolling off of her to know how she felt, she was showing it all on her cheeks. Xeryth, after a moment of confused silence, finally spoke up quietly.
"Well... well of course I'll come with you Phoebe, it sounds... it sounds fantastic. But what is it... that you... want to say?"
Xeryth's voice seemed to get even quieter at the end, as he worried what it was she needed to tell him. The last few words, in fact, were barely over a whisper.

Phoebe looked up at Xeryth her face finally coming back around to it's normal pale color. He was so sweet so perfect. She smiled at him and stepped up taking his hand.
"Let's go Xeryth." she said with a smile a slight blush on her face from taking his hand.
She could easily remember back to the time that they had spent in this room. That first night after meeting him. The way they had cuddled and woke up kissing. It had been perfect. She knew that she felt something special for Xeryth.
She led him out of the academy holding his hand gently. He was sweet. She led them through the city looking at the night life a bit as she did so. She wasn't into the whole clubbing scene or the parties. Too shy and just not important enough to waste her time with.
She led him up to a very nice restaurant. It was a Italian restuarant that Phaedra had told her about. Inside she stepped up to the hostess still holding Xeryth's hand. She looked over and gave him a warm smile.
"Reservation for Weiss." she whispered and the woman smiled brightly nodding.
Phoebe had called ahead a week ago to prep for this and she had picked out the best table in the resturant. From this table set for two a booth to be exact candle light cast it in a warm glow it was in a rather dark corner. But from the window you would be able to watch the sun set and she had planned it this way. The hostess led them to their table and Phoebe let go of Xeryth's hand to sit in the booth sliding into the middle so they could sit together.
"Your waitress will be here soon." she said with a smile and placed the menus down with a smile and with that the hostess left.
"Pick anything you like, Xer." she said and kissed his cheek softly placing her purse next to her.

Phoebe finally looked up, looking and feeling a bit more calm than she had a few moments before, simply telling him to come on, that they were going. She reached up and took his hand, and gingerly, he met her in the middle with his own, lacing his fingers with hers and allowing her to lead the way.
Xeryth's eyes were wide as he took in the sights of the city he had only barely seen thus far. The night-life of the city was amazing to him, and as such, he began to lag as he looked about, causing Phoebe to have to pull him along a bit more forcefully to get him to the restaurant.
Once inside, he was led, both by the hostess and by his girlfriend, to a simple booth with a rather picturesque view of the setting sun. Phoebe gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and sat down, and Xeryth, hesitating just a bit, sat down across from her, tentatively taking a menu and opening it, looking about it for something that caught his fancy. Truth be told, he never eaten anything that even sounded as good as anything on the menu, and it was rather overwhelming to him.
"A-anything I like? I... it all looks so good, though... how will I choose?" Xeryth words were not a joke, the poor boy seemed honestly worried over what he would eat this evening.

Phoebe looked down the menu and noticed all the choices the place had to offer. It was amazing. Not only Italian food but others as well and she could easily see why Xeryth might have a problem picking something out to eat.
"Well, really we could pick something and share it or we could get something different. I'm sure it's all rather good." she told him with a smile.
She saw that he had sat a bit away from her and she smiled moving over slightly so that they were much closer. Not touching only sitting together like a real couple. A couple like they were.
"We'll pick something together. If all else fails spaghetti has never let anyone down." she said with a slight giggle.
She took Xeryth's hand in her own. He looked nervous and well hell she was too but not as nervous as he was.
"Relax it's only us and it's my first date to. Besides we are already together this is just a night out for the both of us." she grinned and gave him a reassuring smile. "It's a special night for just us."

"Yes... yes it is.... just forgive me if I'm a little on edge... if you hadn't already gotten used to that... heh... heh... I'll try and bring it down a notch or so..."
Xeryth grinned weakly and looked over the menu again. "Chicken Parmigiana..." he said to himself, and read over the description. "Fetuccine Alfredo..." he said outloud, and read that one.
Setting his menu down, but still opened so he could further go over it, Xeryth said bashfully, "Heh.... sure is a lot to look at here..."
Suddenly, the waitress showed up, notepad in hand, ready to assist the young couple. "Hello, I'm Natasha, I'll be your waitress this evening... can I get you two anything to drink?" She looked to Xeryth, who, after a moment of hesitation, realized that she was asking HIM.
"Oh... water is fine..."
After Phoebe gave her order, the Waitress smiled, nodded, and said "I'll bring those right out," before disappearing once more.
Looking back to his menu, Xeryth finally got up the courage to, amazingly enough, make a decision.
"Phoebe... I...." he stopped for a moment, trying to get the words to come out right. "I think... I... I'm going to get the Chicken Parmigiana..."
He nodded, satisfied to himself, and smiled innocently over at the girl sitting beside him, who held his hand in hers quietly.

Phoebe was a bit worried when the waitress asked Xeryth what they would want to drink because she knew how shy he was. But though Natasha had probably thrown the boy off guard he had handled it well and gotten water and she ordered tea. She had to have something to drink with her meal and water.. well she could have that anywhere.
She returned her attention to Xeryth smiling over at him. He was so cute. She had something really important that this night was really about. She swallowed putting that thought out of her mind for now she already had a place in mind to tell him.
"That sounds really good Xer." she said with a bright smile.
She looked over the menu as the waitress came back with their tea and water setting it in their respective places.
"You guys ready to order?" she asked happily. Phoebe nodded and looked at Xeryth giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
"I'll have the lasagna please." she said in her light and shy voice looking at Xeryeth. After Xeryth would tell her his order she would leave and they were alone again.
"How was your day? What did you do?" she asked trying to keep the conversation away from the 'secret.'

"I... well... not much, really..." Xeryth replied earnestly, thinking back to his day. As usual, it was another uneventful day for him. Nothing to be ashamed of, not at all, yet, nothing really to talk about, either. It made him feel slightly awkward, but he tried his best not to show it.
"I woke up... had a bagel for breakfast... and read for about an hour after that... otherwise... simply practicing some of my psychic powers, eating... and staying alive, I suppose..."
A feeble grin cracked across his face as he regarded Phoebe. It wasn't a funny joke, but it was the best Xeryth was going to get just yet. He looked around the restaurant, first physically searching for the waiter, then closed his eyes and psychically searched. He felt and understood the presence of each person, their emotions and thoughts closest the surface assaulting his mind all at once. It soon came to be too much. It was like a sensory overload for his mind, causing him to open his eyes with a jolt, breathing hard for a few moments afterward to catch himself.
Trying to seem as if nothing happened, he looked to Phoebe and asked just as innocently. "How... how about yourself?"

Phoebe watched Xeryth as he spoke about his uneventful day. She knew he didn't do much. And she knew that she really never did much either. She was more of a stay home and read kind of girl.
She didn't miss the jolt of his small body. She saw it and felt it as she was still holding his hand gently in hers. He asked her the question and let it slide.
"Well, I woke up early and practiced a bit with my telekenesis. I don't usually eat breakfast so nothing there. I did eat lunch with Phaedra to put the finishing touches on this evening. The rest of the day I spent getting everything prepared to be perfect .. or well I hope so." she said and blushed.
She bit her lip and looked down at their hands one wrapped around the other. She really did care for Xeryth a great deal. She had come to the academy to learn to use her magic better and develop new abilities the people here say lay dormant. Yet she had met Xeryth through Phaedra being in the hospital and she couldn't be happier.
"I'm happy I met you Xer." she said looking up with a bright blush on her face.

"You... you must have really put a lot of... thought into this..." Xeryth said, smiling weakly as he finished. Truth be told, even though he was doing his best to shut them off, the constant emotions rolling off of the crowd was still nagging at the edges of his mind, causing a slight amount of discomfort. He did his best not to show it, but it was not so easy, as a slightly uncomfortable look crossed his features. As Phobe spoke about being glad she met him, however, Xeryth's smile widened, as a blush crossed his pale cheeks. He was still unsure of how to take such compliments, however, and tried to reply as best as he could.
"I... um... yeah... me too..." was the best he could stammer.
At this moment, rather conveniently, the waitress returned, bearing food, placing the platters down in front of the person who had ordered it. Xeryth stared down wide-eyed at the chicken before him, a slightly crazed smile crossing his face. One would be surprised, upon seeing him, that he was NOT drooling.
"Enjoy!" the waitress said as she left. Wordlessly, Xeryth's fork leap into one hand, knife in the other, and he began to dig into the meal heartily, eating happily.
"Mmf...thish... thish ish good, mf!" he said to Phoebe, not quite up on the whole idea of 'table manners' and 'not speaking with your mouth full.'

Phoebe blushed at his comment. Though sometimes the way she seemed to catch him off guard she wasn't sure if he really felt that way or just felt that she would be upset had he not said the same thing. She was never completly sure and so she knew that tonight would be hard on him. She had something to say she had a feeling that only a few options could happen.
one.. he would die of a heart attack something she really did want to avoid.
two.. he would faint and that too was something she wanted to avoid.
three.. he would leave her saying she was nuts moving way too fast and he wasn't yet ready.
four..he might.. he might just say it back. Accept her in that role. But she felt even more now that it was unlikely.
She sighed inwardly she was starting to feel more and more nervous about this. She had already told him there was something she wanted to tell him but now it seemed that maybe it wasn't the best idea. But she had to. He deserved to know. She had to tell him because it was about to burst as it was.
"Yeah.." she said with a cheesy smile as she looked at her food. She took a bite and it was really good but she was suddenly not so hungry anymore. "It's really really good."
The hand not holding Xeryth's was shaking slightly as it held her fork her nerves were going to get the best of her. Should she tell him now. No, she wanted to wait til she got to the secret spot she and Phae had set up for them to watch the stars.
