After Corsair and Midori showed each other their abilities in the training grounds they headed to the city to get something to eat. Corsair was finding it hard to keep his eyes off of her as they walked through thr city. She simply drew him in. Perhapes it was the fact that besides her personality and looks. She had a magical nature in her heritage and race. He wasn't sure but he also didn't really let it be something that botherd him.
They soon were in the are of the city most heavily based of places to eat. "Wel I'm up for chinese today. How about you?" He asked.

Midori walked into the city. Her first time to really see it at all. She had only seen the school and even then she hadn't really had much of a chance to look around all that much. Her arm was hooked through arguably the most handsome man on campus and she ws enjoying herself.
He asked about Chinese food and she looked up at a smile crossed her face. She nodded.
"Sounds good! ... Actually I've never had Chinese before so it'll be a new experience." she smiled brightly up at him.
The city was rather busy and she was more happy that she wasn't alone than anything. She wasn't used to bustling cities but she thought she was hiding any discomfort rather well. She wasn't even twisting her hair or clamping onto her arm.
"So are you from a city?" she asked looking up at him again.

"Then Chinese it is then." He said with a shrug and smiled as they went inside a place that wasn't too fancy. But it was rather nice. They stood there waiting to be seated. He smiled at her question. "Nah as I said back at the training area I lived in the country by some shady grove. It was nice and peacful there. though I did visit some relatives in New York in America." He said with a shrug.
"How about you. What was your forest like?" he asked.

They stepped into the restaurant and she looked around. She missed the feeling of the sun already but she didn't mind. She was with Corsair and already she was having a very good time. She looked up and smiled as he mentioned he was from a small and shaded country. Which shade to her meant a lot of trees.
"My forest? Wow, you sure know how to ask a girl a hard one." she chuckled as they waited to be seated.
"Well, it is called the Forest of Light. It's beautiful and dense. Untouched by human hands and it is very serene. It rains frequently and the puddles come up on the floor that the animals drink themselves full with. Game trails are everywhere giving the animals ways to travel through the dense area. That is what we use to move around. The trails and the branches of the large trees. I think many call us elves in the current lore that I have read. But in fact we are not too like them. We have wings for one." she said though her back was bare and no wings could be seen.
"We also have pointed ears but they help us hear better the design is for a reason. I can blend into my surroundings.." she blushed and looked down. "Sorry, sort of went off on a tagent there. Forgive me?" she asked softly

"Not to worry It's very interesting to hear. Though I must point out I don't see wings on you. Are you able to do something with them like hidde them in a way?" he aked as they were escorted toa table. Corsair helped the Faerie into her seat before taking his own. He was surprised at how Human she seemed in terms of personality. Of course mabey she viewed things in a similar way about him. Just in reverse.

She smiled up at him with a bright smile as they were led over to a table. Being a gentlemen still he helped her sit down and she smiled. They didn't have things like this in the Forest. Men didn't do these kinds of things for their women and women ruled the Forest.
"Thank you." she said with a smile as she scooted up closer to the table. She watched as he took his seat.
"You are right though. I don't have my wings out. Perhaps later I can show them to you if you are interested. They are unique and I find that they tend to make me stand out more than green hair, so I keep them hidden." she admitted softly.

"Standing out isn;t a bad thing. If there's one thing I've learned during my short time on this planet. It's that hiding who or what you are never brings any good. I am definatly interested in seeing what you ook like with the wings." Corsair said.
Soon thae waiter arrived to take thei orders. Corsair orded some shrip fried rice and a glass of leamonade. and he looked at Midori. "Go ahead and oder whatever youd like. Money isn't an issue with me." he said

She looked over the menu trying to decide what she wanted to eat. Luckily for her they had the descriptions written under each of the items. She smiled softly and looked it over before giving her order of fried rice and chicken with iced tea to the waiter.
He left and she turned back to the man across from her as she put her hands on the table lightly.
"I'll show them to you then, later after lunch. And as to your second point I stick out pretty good on my own. Tattoos, green hair, pointed ears.. yeah I have that base covered." she said with a chuckle as she fiddled with her napkin a bit nervously.

"True you are someone who stand out. In a good way at least." He said as the waiter left to give their order to the chefs. "So I wonder. How old are you. I do know that Faeries are much more long-lived than humans are." He said still utterly fascinated with the person in front of him.

She smiled at him. There was just something about him and his acceptance for who she was that made things rather interesting. She watched him and blushed at his comment to her it was a compliment.
"Thank you." she said softly.
She looked up and giggled slightly as he asked her for her age. She tilted her head to the side and winked at him.
"Isn't that the only question you really aren't supposed to ask a girl?" she asked with a grin. "I'm twenty." she said with a nod as she sat back in her chair her hands in her lap now as she drummed her fingers on her lap out of nerves. She had never been nervous before. Not like this.
"And yourself?"

He chuckled. "True it's not normally somethignone is supposed to do. But I'm just too curious. So you're just slightly older than me. By your race's standerds you must be extremely young." He said. "Myself I just turned 19." He said with a shrug as the waiter came with their drinks.

She chuckled and sipped at her iced tea after adding some sugar. She had a definate sweet tooth and she enjoyed the tea. He told her that he was nineteen and she smiled. She was only slightly older than he was but that didn't bother her and it didn't seem to bother him.
"So what was your childhood like?" she asked curiously as she sipped her tea.
The boy across from her was indeed a cute one. She couldn't help but look at him and blush slightly. She was not used to having boys around like this or having to try to control her attraction.

He sipped his Lemonade and chuckled. "Pretty normal for awhile actually. At least until I was about nine. I was visiting my uncle in New York when some beasts came out of a rift in the City. I was almost cut in half when my armour first appeared. It saved me. Then some team from the Academy was sent to take care of things and I was able to practice my craft away from home in the grove I liked. A few years back I realized how to use these." He said and Held out a couple of stones.
"They are runes. Once found they bound themselves to the owner. So their energies drain the user. These two give me the ability to use that pressure balst and the jumping. I have a few others with different effects. As I get stronger so do they. So my past few years have been spent seeking them. in fact I'm going out soon to find another I am reading about." He said with a grin.
"So how about you. What brought you here." He asked.

She did a truly unladylike thing when he began talking. Her elbow moved onto the table and she let her head lie in her hand softly as she listened. She was truly intrigued about how he would have lived his life. Her eyes widened and her smile broadened at all the proper points during his story.
"Wow! You were so lucky for it to come save you. Else we wouldn't have met." she chuckled as she let her free hand play with her napkin while she spoke. "And those runes, how neat is that?! If you go find another one, and would like some company I would enjoy going with you to help in anyway I can." she offered with a blush.
He asked about her and first she took a sip of her iced tea and then her hand went back down playing with her napkin. She thought about what to say and decided for the truth.
"Well, when I was born my destiny was set in a way. You see it is not a normal faerie that gets sent out in the world among the living. You must be royal. And then the only reason you leave the forest is to gain the knowledge of the human world. Latest technologies and so forth. I am here because along with my own abilities I have magical ones. Each faerie is born with powers but you must discover them on your own. So I am here to become strong in my magic for my people." she explained.

Royalty? He thought as their food arrived. "How curious. I didn't know you had royal blood. No wonder not many Faeries come to the human populace. hat makes alot more sense now. I guess I should be a bit morecourtly if your royal customs are anything like our own." He said grinnning as he began eating.
"But it at least seems like you have a decent grasp on what kind of magic you use. From what I can tell summoning magic is rather powerful as well." He said.
