Tristan listened to the girl who was also inhuman. He doubted with certainty that she was the same as the Crusnik but that didn't really matter. She'd invited him onto the basilisk's back as Igneus was too big to really use the slope properly. And it was true enough. There was little leeway between him and the sides of the slope, more or less just enough for the basilisk to get through.
[What do you think?] Tristan asked quickly of his partner. I think if you could attach your self to things, ride your sword but you can't... Was the response. Tristan thought of any other options. If either went first the other could end up faster, Igneus because he was heavier, the basilisk because it was smaller. Tristan shrugged and in one swift motion was in the air. His inhuman ability to jump high was interesting at times and initially was a shit load of fun.
A moment later Tristan would be standing on the back of the lizard, hopefully his weight, being around two-forty with his equipment, didn't hurt the beast. Igneus then transformed and flew over to his friends shoulder. Being a dragon of the telepathic kind, as there was apparently several types of dragons, the black fire breather had never thought of Tristan as a father, mearly someone he lived with. Their relationship was half way between master and pet, and partners.
He then looked at the girl, adjusted his Shireiutz, and sat down behind her. Normally he wouldn't have bothered, after all he was indeed old as most people in the academy went, mid thirties, but living on Babylos had its effects of having a normal life. There was also something about the girl that just made Tristan feel like abandoning his normal demeanor, even if just for a while.
