Lucian smiled brightly as Madelyn took the elephant and hugged it tightly with a bright happy smile. It did his heart good to see the young girl enjoying herself. Life was dealing her a hard hand as of late and she needed a time like this, a time to relax and have fun. He was glad to have been at least able to help her same fun tonight because of all the people in the world right now Madelyn needed to have some fun and relax. She had been busy lately acting strong for her unborn children and for the memory of Jonathan. It made him sad to see the young girl exhaust herself by trying to suppress the sadness and other negative emotions that he assumed she thought were weak. But it showed him how devoted she was to the memory of Jonathan and the certainly made him feel inadequate about his chances about filling in the gap Jonathan’s death had left in her life.
He sighed softly as he she jumped up and kissed him on the cheek gently. He hugged her back warmly in return for the kiss. Then they started off hand in hand down the little pathway of carnival games. That was when Madelyn stopped, it seemed she had found a booth she wanted to check out so of course she proceeded to drag him over to the booth with a single word. And of course there was no protest from Lucian he was happy to do whatever Madelyn wanted to tonight because tonight was her night to have fun and he did not want to do anything to spoil her fun. That meant letting her do whatever she wanted.
He smiled as he watched her play the game she had decided on, a simple ring game, land a ring on one of the goldfish bowl and you won the gold fish. Lucian knew she would be an automatic expert at this game with her years of playing music; her fingers were finely honed and nimble. He smiled and clapped softly as she won, maybe a pet would do her some good. But then his expression changed to a puzzled but pleasantly surprised one as she handed him the goldfish bag and then another little teddy bear that the man gave to her as an extra little gift. He smiled happily and held the gifts he had given her in one arm and took her hand in his with the other.
They continued walking, there was some commotion near the entrance of the games area but Lucian ignored it for the most part because nothing was going to ruin his time with Madelyn tonight. He smiled as he looked around thinking of something they could do next. That was when he saw it, the big Ferris wheel near the center of the courtyard. He smiled a little and tugged on her hand, leading her towards the ride, he handed the man the necessary tickets for them to ride and he climbed into the metallic basket, pulling her in with him. After the basket was shut and secured it started to slowly lift into the air as the Ferris wheel rotated. He smiled down at her squeezing her hand gently as they started to slowly and gently rise into the air.

Gaaaah! Not another vision!
Well, Roy had been glomped. A girl, who was rather cute, but already caught up in a rather complicated love triange (Rectangle?). How did Roy know this? Because the moment she latched onto him, he had been caught off guard. He had been attempting to leave unnoticed, not wanting to be a fifth-wheel in Phaedra and Price's fun, when this little ball of sunshine latched onto his back.
And now she was playing with his ears.
Skin contact? After a glompage? A vision. His eyes flashed white, as she messed with his ears.
A bengal tiger was the first thing Roy saw. It was her pet. Then he saw a familliar face, Trevor. He had sparred with him once, and the young man had helped him out after he had fallen into a "Seer's Shroud", or state of temporary blindness. Next was a man named Raiden, who Roy couldn't visibly see, but "Feel" his presence, and his name. A young blonde man named Train was up next. Odd name, odd looking young man. Hair almost as long as Roy's had been.
Roy understood what the vision meant. This girl was caught in a love triangle. Or rectangle, if you want to get all technical.
A mere half second after it started, his vision stopped. The bow-clad girl was still on his back.
"Umm.....happy new year t-to you t-too?"

A huge smile broke out on her small but sweet little face. She blushed softly as he seemed so happy at her gifts. Where she had a giant elephant to take home and cuddle up with Lucian had given her, she on the other hand had given him a friend and a small little bear. He didn't seem like the type that would want a very huge animal at all. But she wanted him to walk away with something it was important to her seeing as he was being her sweet best friend right now.
Her eyes took in all the sights. The bright lights, the rides, the games, the stuffies. Everything. She was having so much fun her small little hand in his huge one. A commotion from the side and she jumped getting closer to Lucian again. She wasn't sure what it was but her eyes went wide and she snuggled up to him. Lucian seemed to take notice and he got her away from all the commotion and the noise. Away from all the scary noises and back into her comfort zone with him, and him alone. Soon they arrived at the base of a huge lit wheel. It sparkled and shimmered the lights lighting up in different patterns and different colored seats ready to take people up and around.
He paid the tickets and they stepped into the seat. She sat beside him and put the elephant next to her. The fish on the floor and the bear in the elephants lap. She wrapped her arms around Lucian and cuddled right up. Yes, this was a ride for lovers but she had didn't know that. She had never been on a carnival ride in all her life and when it moved and they lifted up in the air she gasped happily her violet blue eyes alight with fun and curiosity as she looked up at Lucian. She giggled happily and lay her head on his shoulder softly as she looked up at him. She didn't look at the city, she looked at him for now, while the ferris wheel loaded. She would look at the city when it really got going for now she was having fun and she was making direct eye contact with the man that was showing her a very good time. Her smile couldn't be brighter. She was having one of the best times of her life thanks to Lucian.

Lucian smiled as he looked down at Madelyn. She seemed to be having a wonderful time and Lucian was glad because that was what he wanted to give her. There was something else that he wanted to give her, more than anything, and that was his love. Tonight was the night, tonight he was going to tell her that he loved her and hopefully she would return his affection. But for now he simply wanted her to have a good time because she, of all people, deserved to have a good time tonight. She had been dealt a rough hand by life and she was trying to stay strong for her unborn children and for the memory of her deceased husband. Lucian admired her for her strength because it was something a lot of people did not have. There was much more to Madelyn than met the eye and Lucian admired and loved her for that inner strength she had, not to mention her adorable innocence and sweetness.
It would be impossible for him not to smile as she wrapped her arms around him and snuggled close. He could not help but laugh a little at how sweet and cute she was as she gasped excitedly when the ride started to move and then giggled as she lay her head on his shoulder. She was irresistibly adorable and cute, Lucian just wanted to hug her and never let go. In fact that’s what he did, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and held her gently against him. He smiled as he looked down at her locking his gaze with hers. She was so beautiful and low light of the ferris wheel seemed to make her glow beautifully.
“Enjoying yourself Madelyn?” he asked in a quiet voice as he hugged her against him gently looking down into her beautiful, wide, innocent violet blue eyes and smiled. He could feel himself getting lost in her eyes but he did not much care he could stay lost in them forever.

After walking off on his own Jason found himself talking toa few peope here and there. Soon he had gottena small crowd. Only ten or so people but he was kinda cenetered at this point for these people. He wasn't really being oud or drawing attention to himself. He was just enjoying a good time. Suden'y a joke he had heard popped into his head. granted it wasn't a very clean joke.
OOC: Yeah if you get grossed out easily I wouldn't read this.
"A man travels to Spain and goes to Pamplona during the great "running of the Bulls" festival. After his first day there, he goes out late for dinner at a restuarant in the center of the town. He orders the house special and he is brought a plate ,with potatoes, corn, and two large meaty objects. "What's this?" he asks. "Cojones, senor," the waiter replies. "What are cojones?" the man asks. "Cojones," the waiter explains, "are the testicles of the bull who lost at the arena this afternoon." At first the man is disgusted, but being the adventurous type, he decides to try this local delicacy. To his amazement, it is quite delicious. In fact, it is so good that he decides to come back again the next night and order it again. This time, the waiter brings out the plate, but the meaty objects are much smaller. "What's this?" he asks the waiter. "Cojones, senor," the waiter replies. "No, no," the man objects. "I had cojones yesterday and they were much bigger than these."
"Senor," the waiter explains, "the bull does not lose every time." "
Jason finished his story with a grin. Those listening had either laughed hard enoug to be holding their guts or gave him dirty looks and walked away. Jason wasn't surprised. It WAS a funny joke. Just a bit vulgar

The ferris wheel by now had filled up. Madelyn and Lucian at the very peak of the wheel still staring into each others eyes. She felt a bit guilty at times like these. When she was having fun in life without him. But there was nothing else she could do, she was getting close to Lucian, and he had told her to live. Live, was what she was doing but it was hard at times to move on without the one that had been such an important person to you. Yet, it seems not only does ones heart and mind mend, but that you can move on, yet never forget. She knew .. that anyone that would fall for her, wanting to love her, would have to know that Jonathan would be someone she would love forever. That she would not be forgetting him any time soon, and that she would never let him go, not complelty.
He had been the one to awaken her. Break the ice that had found a home around her small heart. The one that had made her the wings of an angel. Giving her a purpose. Even so much as giving her a purpose after he was gone, he had given her a reason to survive, to live without him. But now she was trying to find a new purpose, a purpose of her own and perhaps it was in Lucian, the man sitting beside her.
He was looking down at her. As if she was timeless. Something to be cherished forever. It was what his eyes said and it was something she hadn't seen in a very long time. It was hard for her to know what to do. Hard to know if it was right to feel the same. To show him that he was special too. That he had a place in her heart. Though she did not love him, not yet, her heart still torn from the last. She was ready to move forward in life and perhaps that first step was Lucian. Perhaps it was anyone, someone, it mattered not. Or perhaps it was just her, and him together being the best friends they had been for so very long. But her eyes.. they refused to move from his and his question it didn't seem to be heard.
Suddenly, slowly, as if in slow motion. She kissed Lucian. There on the ferris wheel. Where so many lovers before them had come. It was not their first kiss. Days ago that had been when he had woken her from her sleep, during the meeting. But this.. was her first kiss to him. On the lips soft and gentle. Held there gently, for what seemed like forever, yet as soon as they parted it was not long enough. She blushed a deep red and looked down and away. She felt a bit ashamed in a way. Not because of Jonathan, but because she wasn't sure if it was proper to move on. It had been a month since her husband had died, a little over to be exact. Was it okay to kiss someone? She didn't know.
Looking back over at him. She shifted her eyes as the ferris wheel took them up and brought them back down, watching the city lit up beautifully for the celebration that was tonight. She leaned agianst Lucian, his arm around her, her lips tingling softly as she watched the city with him. It was New Years, and it was Magical for her. A new beginnning. A new treck. A new lease on life.
Her name was Madelyn Winters.
And she was, starting over.

Lucian sighed, as he looked down at Madelyn his eyes locking with hers. He cared a great deal for the small blonde girl that was sitting with his arms wrapped around her. Though he was not quite sure if she felt the same way about him, he knew she cherished Jonathan and even in death that would not cease. Lucian had a feeling of inferiority, as if he should not try to win the girl’s heart because Jonathan had already claimed it. He knew he would never be able to take Jonathan’s place but he still wanted to be there for her. She was trying so hard to be strong these days and it broke Lucian’s heart to see the strain it was putting on her body. She always seemed so tired and sad these days, in fact tonight was one of the few times lately he had seen her genuinely smile and enjoy herself. That’s what he wanted to give her, joy and love, he wanted her to know that even though Jonathan was gone there were still people who cared about her and love her. He, Lucian Dragomir, was one of those people.
Then time seemed to stand still as he watched her lean closer and closer. She was not going to…was she? That was when it happened, their lips touched in a gentle kiss and Lucian felt his eyes close as he pressed his lips back against hers. The taste of her lips was intoxicating and Lucian wanted more but he would have to restrain himself. But now he knew, she at least had some feelings for him and they were romantic ones. He squeezed her hand gently as he held it in his and smiled lovingly down at her. His eyes held nothing but caring and love for the small girl and he wanted her to know how much he cared for her. He noticed the way she blushed and looked away. He smiled and his hand reached out, cupping her cheek and gently turning her head back to look him in the eyes.
“Maddie….” He whispered, his voice soft but still thickly accented, “I…have something I want to tell you,” he said softly as he took a deep breath, steeling himself and gathering courage for this most important of messages. He had faced magical horrors and life or death situations but he was more nervous about confessing his love to Madelyn than any of those things. He sighed softly, taking another deep breath, “Madelyn Winters….I love you,” he said softly but sort of fast as if he wanted to get out and say it. He smiled hesitantly down at her as he waited for his words to sink in and take effect on her. Lucian did not know what she was going to do or if her reaction would be at all positive or favorable but he just wanted her to know how he felt about her.
Their basket of the Ferris wheel reached the top and he looked out over the city, glimmering in the night. Then he looked back at Madelyn smiling softly and lovingly as he cupped her cheek again. He sighed softly as he leaned in close and kissed her gently but very lovingly as he pulled her a little closer against him. Lucian could not resist anymore, he loved her and if words would not do it than he would let his actions speak for him. Because, if he had learned one thing from Madelyn, it was that actions spoke louder than words. If it took action to show her how much he loved her than that is what he would use to convey his love for her.

A hand soft and gentle reached out to her. The soft skin of her cheek carressed gently as her head was pulled softly back in the direction of him. Her violet blue eyes looked up at him reflecting in the irises of her eyes were the lights and the beauty of the city. The gentle stars above them in the night sky. He called her by her nick name and she smiled softly. He was the only one that called her that. She had, remembered that long ago her father had used it for her, but now it was Lucian that called her that, and that alone. She smiled at him because he was gentle to her and she nuzzled into his large hand on her small cheek so gently.
"Madelyn Winters..." he began in a soft voice.
Normally when someone used your whole name it meant that something was about to be said, something important. She cocked one of her light blonde eyebrows and looked up at him wondering just what it was he was going to say. And then it came. Those three words she had only ever heard from one person in her life.
'...I love you...'
It all came out so fast she wasn't sure at first she had heard it correctly. She gasped and looked up at him her eyes wide. Not with fear but surprise. First thought she moved hugging him tightly squeezing him tightly. He loved her. It proved what Jonathan had said was true. Someone else could love her, she had .. been wrong all along. Only there was one problem. She didn't love him yet. Not like that. Sure.. they had kissed before but it wasn't love. Not for her yet. She had no idea he had.. though she had read feelings in his eyes she was blind to the fact of what those feelings were. And now that he had confessed she could see them clearly. More clearly than before. And she froze for a moment her face slowly turning all the different shades of red going straight to crimision. She swallowed hard. He kissed her softly and deeply her eyes closing as she returnd the kiss her heart pounding in her small rib cage. She wasn't sure if this was even right but she felt.. that it wasn't completely wrong either.
She couldn't say it back. She felt horrible. Her heart fell as she looked at him her face fell slightly. Carefully her hand reached out and gently took his free one. And she placed it gently on her stomach. Why? Because it wasn't enough to just love her. He had to love them. Her children, not his. But even more than that it showed him that though she didn't love him, not yet, that she did trust him completely. She never let anyone touch her stomach, until now.
"I... care for.. you." she said softly.
Near tears that she couldn't say she loved him back because in all honesty she didn't. She wanted to. And perhaps one day she could but right now she could only care deeply for him. As she was still healing from the death of her husband and trying to be strong on her own. But it was nice with Lucian by her side so that she had someone to lean against when she needed them. His hand on her stomach signified that. One of the twins kicked and she winced softly but Lucian would have felt it in his hand. She leaned against him, commiting herself to him for now. She would give him a chance, though she couldn't love yet, it didn't mean she would be loveless forever.

Lucian smiled a little when he saw her gasp, well this revelation had ertainly suprised her. He smiled and wrapped his arms around when she hugged him tightly. Stroking the back of her hair as he held her, maybe she felt at least something of what he felt. The hug would certainly indicate that, though he had never truly expected her to fully feel for him the way he felt for her. She could not, not after the way she had loved Jonathan and lost him. It would be impossible for her to fully love Lucian after something like that, but he had made his peace with that. The only thing he ever regretted when it came to Madelyn was not meeting the small blonde before Jonathan did. What if he had? Would this evening be a date between two lovers intead of just two friends having fun together? Lucian pushed that thought back because it was too painful to think about to think that maybe if the circumstances had been different he could have been the one that his special young girl loved and treasured. It was also selfish, this was not about him this was about Madelyn and caring for her.
He saw her face turn all shades of deep red and he instantly regretted ever telling her. Why did he have to tell her? Why should he put that kind of burden on her shoulders? He should have just kept the feelings secret, that way she could have been content with them just being friends but now she had to live with this shadow, this burdne that he cared about her more deeply than just friends. He did not want to burden her with that and he felt horrible now about telling her that he loved her.
His eyes locked on hers as she took his hand and put it on her stomach. He smiled softly as he felt his hand come in contact with her warm, smooth skin and he left his hand there. She had never done thisbefore and Lucian was more touched by this act than any thing she could have said. He smiled a little and rubbed her stomach gently, a sign that he wanted to be there for her and not just for her but for her children too. Madelyn was a special girl and her children would be special too and he wanted to care for all three of them.
Lucian had to come to terms with the fact that she might never love him but that did not make it any less painful when she told him. She could tell him she cared for him but nothing else. It was good enough for Lucian but it still hurt to know that the girl you loved could not bring herself to say she loved you. He knew she was still dealing with Jonathan's death and he felt horrible and selfish for feeling bad that she could not say she loved him. Smiling warmly he cupped her cheek and tilted her head to look him in the eyes. A single tear slid down her cheek and he wiped away with his thumb nodding gently. He understood, she could not love him, she might not ever love him, but she cared...she cared about him and that was good enough. He would always be there for her regardless. Lucian smiled a little more as he felt the baby kick and he rubbed her stomach a little more before wrapping his arms tightly around her and hugging her gently as she leaned against him.
Lucian knew he could never replace Jonathan or ever even begin to live up to the impact he had on Madelyn's life. Regardless he would be there for her, to hold her, to talk with her, to comfort her, to love her even if she could not bring herself to love him back. That was all he wanted to do was be there for her to be her protection and solice and more importantly....her comfort.
