Hmm nice night. Not too busy either. I think this is probably a much better way to see this city. Thought Jason as he walked along on the sidewalk of a major stree. His staff was over the back of his shoulders with his arms up and his wrists resting on the staff so he was relaxed but ready to use it at a moment's notice. Not that he had plans to use it nor did he expect to. He had on a pair of blue jeans and his sneakers along with a dark blue button down shirt with the top two buttons undone and a black vest on over that. His hair wasn't even tied back at all this night so with an small gusts it fanned out behind him as a golden trail.
He looked up seeing a half moon and saw several stars. It was a pleasent veiw really and the fact that it wasn't cold but pleasently cool did alot to hel that factor. Jason didn't really have a destination this time. Last time he had just browsed on his way for lunch. This time he was just out and about letting his mind wander. He had already met some interesting people to say the least and his fight with Chephros had been invigorating considering they were roughly at the same level as each other. he was seriously curious about the stronger students.
He rounded a corner seeing that down this street a few shops were open. he wasn' too interested in them this time but he did take time to look through the windows just to see their wares. As usual this place had a perfect blend between what he was familiar with back home and this magical world he had jumped into.

Ketsuki was standing in one of the more exclusive shops. He didn't really fit in there with his outfit but it didn't matter to the owner, who had put up a sign on the door saying "Closed for lunch" despite the late our and that they were clearly visible through the window. But that didn't matter to Ketsuki either, since he wasn't the one acting suspiciously. And he had a reputation of being able to help people with anything, so if anyone saw him that would be what they would expect. He looked at the owner that was busy reading the contract Ketsuki had written and when he decided that it was acceptable he signed it.
"Thank you very much, if you check your bank account tomorrow you'll see that you're now among the richest men in the whole area. You've made a great deal."
Ketsuki had to use force to hold his laughter back. Of course he signed it, there were seven sins and each one of them had several sublevels. It's easy to commit minor sins, and with them he was able to get what he wanted. Humans are pitifull. As soon as he got out of the store he let go of the contract which self ignited and burnt to ashes that flew away in the wind. Then he thought it safe enough to laugh for a bit, it was rarely he saw something as funny as a greedy person trying not to look excited just to squeeze a little more money out of him. That ment alot to him as they became his to a much deeper level that way.

OOC: Ignore the staff on his shoulders. This is an older thread and the staff's been destroyed now. He has a metal cylinder on his belt.
Jason walked down the streets a bit more looking at most of the open shops seeing they tended to be along the lines of coffee shops and so forth. Not many that actually sold other wares but as Jason wasn't here to buy anything he was fine with that.
Once more he rounded a corner and saw a man step out of a building then ignite something in his hands. Jason couldn't make out what it was but with the way it burned he would guess paper. He also heard the guy laugh. Being naturally curious Jason stopped when he was near the man.
"Interesting. Able to make things spontaniously combust. That's gotta be useful." he said interested in the power. He had seen people able to wield the elements but it tended to be in the form of fireballs shot from th hand and so forth. Not many he had seen could ignite something by holding it. Which is what brought Jason's comment up.

Ketsuki stopped laughing as he heard the boy. He had apparently dropped his guard when the deal was sealed, not good. This place had a few angels around and that could've been fatal for him. But this was a human, and a curious one on top of that. Good, that could easily become two deals in one day. Not counting the lesser ones he'd already done.
"It's in the paper, but I do have a similar ability. Truth to be said I am capable of sharing it and showing it of as I like, as long as I don't overdo it. It's work related and my boss wouldn't like me to do stupid things. Want me to show you?"
If this boy was curious there was a great chance that he'd take the bait. And with a little luck he'd show his weak side. Ketsuki was willing to bet three souls that he wanted power and he could supply that. Lots of it actually. Maybe he should tamper with it so it was lethal to the user as well...

Jason raised an eyebrow. "Interesting. Not sure though. I'm interested in learning a bit about it. Mostly as to how it works. I've mostly had encounters with my own magic and basic elementalism and summoning. I would guess yours falls under the second catagory. But it seems a bit different." He said and gave a shrug. "I guess if you don't mind explaining it a little than I'de be willing to listen." he said with a small smile eager to hear a bit about what this was. He didn't really seek to learn too much about another's abilities. But if they were willing to explain he was always glad to learn.

Bingo! He was about to take it. With a little work he'd probably get him. A little work and a few lies that is.
"Actually, this spell is a seal. There's not much to tell about it except how to gain it, but I can't spread that if you aren't going to take it because if you told someone else and word got around to much I'd have no free time when I'm loaded with four year olds that wants it. So, are you intrested in gaining it? I can say as much as there's no harm in gaining it, except for the one that you wish to cause of course."
With that said, he'd have to choices. Either he took it or he threw it away, and if the latter he would've done that anyway. But if Ketsukis assumption was right and this guy craved power he would take it. Especially since Ketsuki had specified that he would have the choice when to harm with it. And he still left openings for tricks.

Jason pondered this for a second. Not haveing an explaination didn't suite well with him. he understood the reasoning behind the lack of an explaination but he didn't like getting into anything he didn't fully understand or at least have a good grasp on. He gave a small smile. "No thanks really. I've learned getting into something without knowing all the aspects of it can be problematic. My powers are a good example. For the first few days of having them when they showed I could control them at all. Not really a smart thing to get into something when you don't really uinderstand any aspects of how it works." He said pleasently.

Damn, not as Ketsuki'd hoped, but there were nothing to do but to keep trying. If he could provide an explanation good enough he should be able to get a deal. Just a little bit of stubbornes.
"I see, well I can't deny that. But since I'm a businessman I can give you an offer. You tell me about your powers, or rather a part of them since this isn't all of mine, and I'll tell you how to use this. How's that for a deal?"
This way he might be able to look as curious as the boy did. Just to make the story more trustworthy he made his voice sound like he was trying to hold back his feelings of curiosity. And if he asked Ketsuki could always say that he was writing a study or maybe copied easier spells. And if needed he could give the boy more power, that would make it more intresting. He already had everything finished how the power should work and the big flaw it would have. He had left such an opening and wanted to use it.

Jason shrugged. "Sounds fair enough for an info trade. I use my powers as strict energy. My mana can be expelled in evergy balsts and so forth. It can be expelled from the bottom of my feet and let me fly in short bursts or haver. I can channel my energy through most objects and focus the usually in blades and so forth. I have a few other abilities. I haven't really learned how to harness all of them. But haveing a very neutral basis in magic it lets me learn a decent amount about other forms and mabey even the chance to use them. Hence my curiosity in anybody else's powers reguardless of who they are." He said. Jason had more or less revealed the majority opf his own powers. Not that did many people any good agianst him.

"What an intresting power, but you're not fully able to use it? That's to bad, it would have been intressting to see them at full capability. Now I guess that I should hold my part of the deal. My power is alot simplier..."
He pulled up his sleeve and showed a tattoo that he had created there mere seconds before.
"This tattoo let's the bearer use it, it's simply a power that let's you ignite whatever and whoever you desire to see gone or dead. It can also heal minor wounds such as small cuts to the degree that they stop bleeding, but that's rather painfull. The tattoo is made by signing your name on the back of a paper with this symbol written on it. Then you put the symbol against your body and it'll stay there forever. The tattoo glows when the spell's used and it drains no mana to create and almost none to use. The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to do this correctly or you won't be able to try again until the failed tattoo is gone, which takes roughly a month. You want one?"

Jason pondered this for a moment. he never did mention anything about wanting the power really. He just wanted to learn about it. And the fact the guy seemed so willing and even eager to an extend made Jason wonder what this was all about. "Not to sound ungrateful. But what do you get out of this. You seem a bit eager to get me to take this power. Even if it is a bit more simple I can barely manage my own. I don't see how doing this could really be a good idea. Particualrly the first part. Just being able to ignite someone seems a bit powerful for a human to handle. At least someone at my own level of power." he said. jason wanted to know what was up with all this. It had gone from his wanting to laern to the guy attempting to get him to take the power without any mention of some sort of price. Jason always figured payment to be pfair in these cases. So when it was thrown out like this it did raise some suspicions. Particularly as he himself never mentioned wanting the power offered.

So this is where they had come now, good. When a customer asks for a price there is a good chance that they'll buy it if it's cheap enough.
"This power isn't really human, so humans can't kill with it but we can harm each other seriously if we want. No, the power is from greater beings, and you could call me a priest. Each time I pass this on to someone that at least seems good at heart I will gain myself a better place in the afterlife. You could see it as a bit egoistic if you want but that's the story. And the same goes for you, if you manage to pass it on that is. So would you please do it for my afterlife? I don't know if you're religious or so, but I am and I need as much help as I can get. If I passed it on to anyone I risk to get into trouble and I already made one mistake, so please do it."
He made his voice sound kind of pleading at the end, not much though, but still. This guy seemed like he was a neighbourhood hero or at least good enough to feel sorry for him.

Jason thought about this for a moment. Sounds sincere enough. But for a good place in the afterlife why would he be spreading around a spell that seems to have a primary reason for destruction. That makes no sense. There is only one healing aspect and even that is minimal. I don't thin this sounds right. He thought. He also figured that if this was the truth of the matter it would have been explained right off the start of it all.
"I hate to say it and hope I'm just being a bad judge of character. But this doesn't match up. If this is the truth of the matter why didn't you explain it right away? And why is the spell that would make things good in the afterlife one that would do little more but cause pain to those it was used on besides the slight healing which still would be slightly harmful?" he asked. His voice didn't betray what he thought. he seriously did hope he was being overly cuatious. His friend Kristend had let been the one to teach him never to take anything at face value and this would be a perfect example.

Damn, this guy wasn't naive at least.
"As I said, I already made a mistake and that's when I was new at this. I gladly talked about it and it reached the ear of a high level criminal who put money in capturing me. I could burn some of them but in the end I lost and was forced to share it with them. Since then I'm more carefull. And for the destructive force it is true that it is very offensive, even the healing. The healing only causes pain, not damage but the other effects is to protect the bearer as it did with those criminals, I just wasn't experienced enough to keep my eyes at my back as well. But the main use for it is to slay those who oppose the great one. His word is that pain strengthens the body and that we shouldn't let those who wants to are evil live unless they repent and join us. He is almighty and great but he won't forgive my mistake unless I manage to give this spell to four more people after you. If I fail I will be thrown down into hell when I die. Please don't mistrust me or the great one, this spell has saved lifes by killing those who tries to kill more and healed those who would've died. Please trust me, I don't want to go to hell."
Now he made his voice more desperate. He really hoped this would work.

Jason wasn't really sure what to make of this. he had no relgious leanings. And all his life's experiance taught him that if there was some higher power than he was very neutral in the affairs of mankind letting them make their own decisions even in terms of good and evil.
"I'm sorry I can't give you an answer. I'de be glad to help. But it's not a decision to be taken lightly and such decsions cane take time. I'll tell yu what. Give me a few days to think all this through. I live at the Academy. I can normally be found in one of the courtyards or in the training grounds though I reccomend the courtyard for this matter." he said and gave directions to which courtyard he would be in.
"Give me a couple days and I'll have your answer. mabey you'll even find the people you need by then. But sucessful or not come find me there." he said. Jason really needed to think this through. he wasn't about to simply say yes particularly as any power that was simply granted would have some cost that was not mentioned. True power came from learning it and training with it to learn how to harness it.
