Ziare saw the emblem appear on her stomach and she looked down in shock. She did not know what it was nor what it meant but she would find out sooner or later.
She sent Fianna over running more loping across the grounds as she summoned Noxanna. The fairy was an easy light mana cost but packed a punch if you didn't know what you were looking for.
Fianna ran closer to Joseph keeping her run erratic so as not to make an easy shot.

Feelign his muscles tighten as he channels energy into his revolver Joseph leapt back from the charging animal. Focusing his attention on the beast he purposefully fired three rounds at its feet, causing the Fianna to dodge left and right. As the creature came down on it's third dodge, Joseph who had anticipated its landing planted a kick to the side of the creature then used the momentum to charge forward past it. The gunmage's attention shifted to that of the fairy creature. he fired off two rounds aim precisely for her left leg and right arm.

Noxanna dodged the bullets easily as she was very small and hard to aim at. Ziare sent Noxanna to fly over Joseph she took off at speed leaving only a slight light blur in her wake. She circled over Joseph her white rain falling down from above her paralyzing spell.
Fianna got up and shook her head charging after Joseph and with her huge paw went to knock his legs from underneath him while he was distracted with Noxanna and her rain.

Joseph hesitated as his muscles began to stiffen. The little fairy summon was castign a paralyzation spell! Luckilly though the other creature had bounded up and sweapt out his feet, knocking him back out of the rain. With his muscles free, he droped his focus and fired the last round from his revolver. As he hit the ground he simultaneously felt the hit to his back as well as a quick jab at his stomach. The round he had fired had gone about half a meter then veered directly into Ziare's stomach.
The round was rubber and would not penetrate her skin, as it was designed to do, but it would leave a hell of a welt. As the gunmage rolled backward onto his feet he cast Replenish, filling his empty chambers. Once filled again, he fired two more random rounds which changed course towards the girl's stomach, then focusing on each creature he fire a round aimed at each of their heads. Say for the fair you got a second bullet.

Ziare was hit in the stomach so hard it took the breath right out of her. It took all her concentration to just keep her summons under control. She saw Fianna get hit in the head by the rubber bullet and dismissed her to heal but Noxanna still being lythe and flying dodged her own bullets with ease. She almost laughed at Joseph but with a warning from Ziare decided mocking him was not the way to go.
Ziare regained her focus and dismissed Noxanna the fairy was going to do no good now that it was out what her main attack was. She summoned Armenius and Sheeta. The red dragon made her back burn with the tattoo calling forth their bond. Armenius looked at the emblem on Ziare's stomach and snarled looking back at Joseph. A bruise was already forming from the bullet. Sheet formed in the area to Ziare's right. She was the spitting image of Ziare only dark, black hair, black clothes and she had glistening angel like wings. Her crystal blue eyes looked over at Joseph and laughed an evil laugh.
Ziare sent Armenius who had just begun to fly over to Joseph breathing fire all around him igniting the grass in a circle around him and Ziare fed the flames easily with her power. Sheeta began to fly staff in hand and prepared a shadow of herself to fly around as well so that there were two Sheeta's but only one was real. Both dove in towards Joseph aiming with thier staffs for his back.

Joseph breathed slowly, calmly...just as the gunmages school had tought for rough situations. Though his breathing was slow, his eyes darted about taking in everything he could. Ziare had summoned two more beasts a dragon and a beautiful angel. The dragon though vicious looking worried him less than the angel. The dragon had merely surrounded him in a ring of fire, the angel on the other hand seemed to have intent for dismemberment. The fairy? At the moment a minor neisence, though should her paralyzing spell be cast again while there were so many attackers about he'd be in trouble.
Who to target? The fairy was pointless as she could easily dodge his bullets regardless of how well he aimed. The dragon looked as though it had hard scales, which meant he'd need to expell too much energy to damage it before he could move on to the others, and the angel...well he'd have to chose one if that was his target. No, none of them her what he needed.
The gunmages shut his eyes and clenched his muscles as he focused a large amount of energy into the currently loaded round. The energy enveloping the bullet would be enough to knock some of the scales from the dragon's body. Suddenly Joseph leapt sideways straight through the fire ring. He flew quickly enough that the flames did not have time to catch with his suit. Still falling through the air, Joseph aimed his weapon at the dragon, though when he fired he was not focusing on the beast. The energy enflamed bullet fired out at the creature but immediately veered straight for Ziare's stomach. Before he could even hit the ground Midnight felt a tremendous empathic blow to his body.

Ziare screamed as the bullet hit her stomach much harder than the first and she crumpled on the ground not used to such physical attacks. This training episode would probably do her good if she survived the bruises. Ziare's back felt like it was on fire as the tattoo began to glow. Armenius was pissed as her main summon and her bond he now felt what she felt and fed even more off her emotions.
Armenius in anger began to grow sucking the emotions from Ziare and using his own to fuel his size. She had never seen this happen before since her powers had woken he had never done this since that day. Armenius now towered over Joseph his scales hard as steel and his lungs ready with a fresh batch of fire. Child, I will rid of the nuisance. Armenius said into Ziare's mind. No you musn't it is only a training fight, you may hurt but you may not kill or maim him. Armenius this is a friendly fight. It doesn't seem friendly to me Ziare when you are on the ground hurt and bruised and he stands with magic bullets. That is the point of training to learn from your mistakes for the future. Promise me Armenius you will not go too far. You are my partner in all things, Ziare I will not harm if you say not too but if one bone breaks I will not cease to kill. Armenius said and cut off the mind link clearly upset at her apparent ignorance.
Ziare winced and stood up. She didn't know how many more of those d**m bullets she could take. Ziare let Armenius feed off her pain to keep him big and ready for a big attack. Armenius launched himself back on his hind legs and quickly moving in a spinning motion his tail whipped around right on level with Josephs waist and smashed right into him flinging him across the training grounds with more force than Ziare thougt necessary. Armenius! she screamed and he looked back with a "Hey my choice" look and turned back to his enemy.
Sheeta came closer to Joseph where he was lying and flying above him laughing harshly as she brought her staff hard on his leg then flew off.

Joseph staggered to his feet with gritted teeth. Blood freely flowed from his teeth. The hit from the dragon had knocked him into a tree. Thankfully, pain wasn't as effective against him since he was so used to it. Still, these creatures of Ziare's were growing vicious. The dragon in particulare was enfuriated at him for his shot on his master, he knew it. In a normal fight he'd continue to target Ziare knowing she was the weak point that would bring them all down, but in this situation should he continue with that course of action the dragon was likely to kill him.
Still, the gunmage was hardly out of thise fight. Since he was so far away from his opponents now he had time to do some adjusting. After casting Replenish he sent an ordinary rubber bullet at Ziare. this time he purposefully aimed for her left breast. The blow would eb surprising for her especially since Joseph muttered a breaking chant which dispelled his emblem so that the bullet would hit where aimed.
He wasn't done with the emblem however as he placed his revolver against his forehead once mor enad began reciting the mantra. With the weapon's handle and his back glowing red the resulting emblem suddenly began to form on the dragons right eye. With a grin Joseph turned towards them, aiming his weapon in their direction. Though he would wait until they were close enough. In the meantime he simple continued to channel more and more of his energy into the current round. "This is gonna hurt like hell." he muttered to himself.

Ziare felt the blow come right to her left breast and again the aire was knocked out of her. Armenius turned and roared obviously pissed that this man she wanted to live had just shot her again. Then Ziare realized the emblem on her stomach was gone and she watched in horror as it appeared on Armenius's eye. "Armenius no!" she screamed. Joseph did not understand that to shoot Armenius in the eye was to shoot Ziare in the eye. Any place on the dragon left vulnerable was a potential place for direct harm to Ziare.
Sheeta heard Ziare's cry in her mind and whirling around in the air she threw her staff at him like a boomerang. It was aimed straight for his chest. Hoping to dislodge the gun from his hands.

Joseph's body was growing fatigued with how much energy he was filling the bullet with. How long was it going to take the beasts to converge on him!? He groaned with weariness. Close enough. Any more energy and he'd be likely unable to make another shot. The gunmage let loose his bullet. The round roared forth from the barrel of the revolver like a screaming comet. The Flying bullet draged a tail of energy behind it as it rocketed forward.
Joseph had been too distracted with his fatigue to notice the staff flying at him from the left. Before it was too late the weapon smashed into his chest achieving the affect the summon had wanted. Midnight fell backwards, his gun tumbling away in the opposite direction. With the seperation came the forcefull end of the spell. Such a dislodging of the emblem caused a horrid buring to shoot through Joseph's tatoo as well as his weapon. Luckily for Zaire the shot did not veer towards the emblem in time and instead only grazed the dragon's skull tearing away a line of the steel scales. This pain was then transfer to the gunmage, overlaping with what he was already feeling.

Ziare was releived when the bullet only grazed Armenius but knocking some of the vulnerable scales out of the way a small red cut appeared on her brow it hurt but not bad. She dismissed her summons and stumbling from lack of energy and the buises on her stomach she walked over to Joseph.
"Are you alright?" she asked. A worried look on her face as she tore part of her tank top off to stop the blood from getting into her eye. "I can feed you energy...just a moment."
She summoned Celeste the little girl in her kimono. Celeste lay her small hands on top of Joseph's arm and a white light surrounding her hands Celeste's energy and mana filtered in to Joseph. Ziare dismissed Celeste and blacked out crumbling to the ground next to Joseph her energy finally spent.

The pain finally subsided as the summoned girl soothed his muscles. Joseph heard the girl collapse next to him. Sitting up he breathed heabily as he looked down at her. The gunmage shook his head there was no need for that. He was only in pain, he still had energy to spare. Which he decided to put to use as he layed a hand on the bruised skin of her stomach. The muscles of his arms tightened as he gave her some of his own physical energy.
Pulling back he looked at the wound. It seemed smaller. That was good, at least teh apothacaries would have a little less work. Joseph got to his feet and retrieved his weapon. Once it was safely in his holster he returned to Ziare and picked the girl up in his arms. Then, limping from some lingering pain, the gunmage carried the summoner off to the recovery ward. The whole walk he kept wondering...who won?
