Wasn't this the odd place? That was the first thought Varys had when he entered the training grounds. It seemed the academy wasn't as squirmish about the injuring of their students as he first though. That would be interesting. It seemed that he could used Teufel after all, he could become that monstrosity. It would require some preperation however. Teufel always required targets otherwise he would turn on anything that he could attack. It was hours before Varys had all the dummies constructed. Most were made of wood and straw but there was one that would prove to be a true test. He managed to scrounge some iron from about and constructed a simple dummy made of that material. It would prove to be interesting and almost relaxing to let his nightmare run wild. Most of all, it would be fun. Varys initiated the magic that would change his body and it slowy began. Varys doubled over, a horrid cracking of readjusting bones echoing in the grounds. His skin grew discolored and began to form the hard spiked warts that covered the deformed body. The transformation was gradual, his limbs elongating slightly, his back deforming further. There was a last scream of pain and triumph as his head changed into that of his Nightmare, and he saw through his lopsided eyes. Varys was not fully Teufel . And the devil wanted to rampage. A hobbling lopsided run was made at the group of dummies, unnaturally strong hands grasping and tearing apart their simple construction. Wooden head bitten off, dummies torn litterally into shreds. The splintering of wood resounding everwhere as the small rampage continued. It was only afew minutes before the monster found the iron dummy and proceeded to try to break it in two by bending it in half. It only sickenly mimiced his own malformed body as the dummy was now hunched over. The was an ethereal scream of hatered from the disformed mouth as he twisted and bent and turned the metal untill it was finally broken into two peices. Wallowing in the play destruction Teufel was temporarily happy with his destruction. He had no immediate targets now. Unless someone had heard the commotion and would show themselves.

Hadrian had heard that the Academy even sported a training grounds. He didn't know if they would let him kill as they had during his time at the Nephilim Corporation. It hardly mattered, causing pain was as much a thrill to him as ending someone's life was. Hadrian was not sure when he had picked up the taste for killing and causing pain and he was not entirely sure that it was the doing of the Nephilim Corporation. They did not exactly know how they had created either Celeste or himself. Hadrian was starting to think that he was instinctively evil and relished in causing pain. Maybe it was trait he picked up from being tortured from so long by Nephilim scientists. Well regardless he had not done anything physical since he had escaped, it was time to stretch his limbs.
Hadrian flew into the training arena, his black wings spread magnificently as they flapped soundlessly. Hadrian landed, his wings still extended and his pupil-less black eyes studying the arena. Then he heard it, the sound of destruction, wood splintering and metal crashing to the ground. He hovered over to the source of the sound to see a magnificent creature, almost a physical emobiment of pain and torment.
"Well aren't you delightfully evil looking," Hadrian said with a soft chuckle as he took a step towards the creature.

Erik had been sitting on a bench wearing his usual red attire in the training grounds for about a half an hour now. He did this just for the fun of observing the different styles of magic that people used. As he watched he didnt see much that completely stood out. He was curious about one person though. A man that spent his time just constructing dummys with his hands. The man was there before Erik arrived, and had many dummies already set up. For the majority of the time, he Erik ignored him thinking it was just some guy who wanted to cut stuff up with a sword. Guns and swords were quite popular at the acadamy but didnt see anything interesting happen with them.
Finally, the man finished and stepped back to admire his work for a few seconds. Then he doubled over as if he was in pain. As soon as he saw this, Erik sat up and tried to see what was going on. Over the next 30 seconds the mans body began to change. He was far enough that it was difficult to even see what he was changing into. Even so, just watching from the far distance made Erik feel sick to his stomach. The man's screaming didnt help either. In the end, there was no man but some disfigured creature. Nothing about it looked natural at all. He watched the creature rip apart the dummies like they were rag dolls. Every limb of the creatures body looked like a deadly weapon and they probably were.
Shortly after the dummies destruction, Erik could see out of the corner of his eye a man with wings flying towards the monster.
"Damn, two weirdos in one day." He muttered, as he summoned up a couple of imps. Now standing, he gave his instructions. "I need you two to find out what those two things in the distance are." He said as he pointed at the two figures. "Oh and make sure you aren't seen or things might get messy.
Then, he sent them off

Teufel was chuckling in his amusement. An odd sound, ethereal and fading with time. Whatever this thing had in it's strengths it certainly wasn't speach in any form. Soon enough however, something would catch his attention. A gliding shadow slid across the arena, circling downards untill the winged man landed and spoke.
It didn't matter to Teufel what he said, indeed he didn't even bother to deceifer what was said. What was distracting was the soft flapping sound that was coming up behind. Closer and closer, even as the man with the wings was a good target, the flapping sound was an unknown threat.
Teufel turned awkwardly as quickly as his malformed body would allow, an unnaturally strong hand reaching out to grasp the imp that was sent to investigate him. If he could get a hand around the imp he would draw him to his jagged jaw. The imp would find itself devoured in only a moment if grasped.
This, however, did leave Hadrian unattended and unable to do what he pleased. Good or bad.

Hadrian studied Teuful with a keen eye for detail. The creature certainly was magnificent. Sickeningly twisted and malformed as if it had stepped out of the world of nightmares. He admired the twisted claws, the malformed face, the sickening gait with which it walked. Truly the creature was beautiful, most likely not to most, but Hadrian found it's representation of pain, fear, and torture absolutely stunning.
Then he watched as the creature snatched an imp. So there was someone watching them, then Hadrian felt the movement. Another imp was nearby, a subtle gust of wind passing through his wings, alerted him to the creature's presence. A tendril of shadow snaked out of the ground and snatched the imp. He grinned darkly as the tendril squeezed the imp harshly and brought it up to his face.
"It would seem someone was spying on us my delightfully twisted friend," Hadrian said as he watched Teuful start to pull the imp towards his mouth. Hadrian simply concentrated on the tendril and it tightened around the pests neck. The imp was now squeeking and thrashing to try and free itself so it could get air. Hadrian simply chuckled as the tendril forced the imp's head to turn violently, snapping it's neck. The tendril sunk back into the ground, dropping the dead and limp body of the former imp to the ground.

OOC: Well I guess the other guy dropped out.
Teufel ripped the imps head from it's body and turned in time to see the second imp become strangled by the other man. The man had, protected Teufel? That was a foreign concept to the nightmare, it had no understanding of it at all. Even less of an understanding of the words the man spoke.
It was all too much for the nightmare to stay. More importantly his fun was over and as such Varys had to emerge from it. Teufel turned rapidly and swiped at the air, emitting a low ethereal growl of pain. The transformation back to Varys began. Out of twisted and deformed flesh began to emerge a fully clothed man.
Varys blinked afew times taking in his surroundings before recognizing the winged man and more importantly the pair of dead imps. "Well that's certainly interesting....I didn't set up any imps for Teufel to kill...."
Varys' eyes focused on the winged man now, eyeing him carefully and wondering his purpose. In anycase he required a name.
"Who might you be?"

Hadrian's grin faded as he saw the creature start to turn back into a man. It was only a man, just another pathetic human. Hadrian shook his head a little, he certainly was disappointed by this turn of events. The creature, Teufel, had now lost whatever respect Hadrian had held for it, it was not a real portrait of torture and pain. It was either simply a transformation or somehow the human had managed to bind in service to him. He was disgusted by this, any creature that found itself weak enough to be bound in service to a human was not worthy of continued existance.
"Just a human..." he muttered in a mildly disappointed as he eyed the now human Varys, "I am Hadrian Charon and you, disappointingly are only human," he said, eyeing Varys carefully, "How is that you can transform into such an extravagant creature?" he asked, interested in Varys' ability to transform and it's secrets.

"Only human when I have to be I assure you...I rather like not being me..."
Varys eyed the man cautiously. Such dissapointment for something he couldn't control wasn't something to take lightly. Though it didn't seem like dissapointment would continue into hate. Though he could feel Schrägstrich itching at the thought of sliding a long talon through those rather large wings.
"I would be Varys...And I transform into him rather easily. It isn't hard with Nightmares like mine...."
Varys didn't want to let too much information go at this moment, he still wasnt sure of the winger Hadrian. He certainly seemed interesting and more importantly someone or thing he could get along with. The true question was his aims and objectives.

Hadrian chuckled a little, at least the boy realized how horrible it was to be human. His creatures, Nightmares he called them, were much better especially when compared to having to be around mere humans. Hadrian watched him an amused grin as Varys seem to be wary of him and his intentions.
"At least you too realize the inferiority of mankind," he said with a smirk as the boy commented on how he'd rather not be himself all the time. This Varys was intriguing for a human. Few were able to comprehend their own inferiority and yearn for a better form, Hadrian respected his ability to do so.
"So you came here to practice on wooden and metal dummies?" he asked, his hand sweeping to indicate the debris that was scattered around them. Hadrian had to admit, the form Varys had been in was quite adept at destruction. Almost artisitically efficient and in it's own way it was beautiful.

"Teufel requires something to sate him. If he doesn't, well, it takes more energy to control that form. Hardly a good thing."
Varys wondered why he was telling this one so much. He took a split second of thought to figure out that he was slowly trusting this man. Perhaps quickly trusting him. Before he had Master to trust with small secrets After his death he had to find someone new. Perhaps this one could be it?
"Just because I don't particularly like this form doesn't mean I want to lose it entirely."
Varys was growing more bold now. Perhaps wrongfully so, but the wings kept drawing his attention. How were they there? More importantly were they the only thing that kept him from being human?
"For having such a distaste for humanity...I only see your wings seperating you from that specie..."

Hadrian nodded, this was indeed interesting. So the forms were under his control but not entirely bent to his will. The creatures still had some freedom and if there desires were not satiated they would exercise that freedom and attempt to exert control. Hadrian grinned inwardly, he would have to see if, in the future, he could coax one of those creatures into taking control of the boy's body. That would be quite the interesting turn of events.
"My wings are not the only thing that do not make me human. I am a creation of the Nephilim Corporation. A fusion of human and avian dna, but not merely a mixture...a whole new lifeform," he said with a nod and a dark grin, "A better lifeform...one that I intend to have wrest control of this world from mankind. Though I am only one of two of my kind currently," he said eyeing the man carefully.

Varys could only chuckle and near break out into laughter. Hadrian might have indeed been a very impressive and intelligent person, but to literally take over the world, that was some idea. A foolish one as well, humanity seemed to have a way of staying alive, no matter how much they should rightfully die. It was as annoying as it was useful in Varys' existance.
"I do hope you can reproduce quickly if your aims are to eradicate humanity. Indeed, you'll need a good plan and very likely, afew humans."
Varys gave a haphazard and somewhat crazed grin. He couldn't help but enjoy the idea of killing droves and droves of people. Assuming these were his wants and not those of his nightmares, but that line was very blurred reguardless. Just as it was something Varys wanted to possibly do reguardless of the almost certain failure.

Hadrian grimaced inwardly at the little human's laughter. Was he really that foolish as to assume that Hadrian wanted to take over the world? Of course not, his kind were far too arrogant to think anything of being toppled as the supreme creatures on this planet. That would change, maybe not in Hadrian's life time, but he would lay the building blocks.
"You really think me foolish enough to desire world domination? No, no, my little human....of course not. What I wish, is for my kind...my people to have the superiority we deserve. Mankind's time as the dominant species on this planet is coming to an end. It may not be in my lifetime, but I will most certainly lay the building blocks," he said calmly, as those cold black orbs he called eyes peered intently at Varys. Hadrian chuckled a little at the grin he know had, he knew that grin all too well. It was the grin of one who enjoyed the thought of slaughtering others. Maybe Hadrian had more in common with this human than he had thought.

"You know you cant merely ascend without whiping us out....Oppressing humanity never seems to work for long. Sooner or later the oppressors feel bad and want their little slaves to be equal."
Varys could only continue grinning. This one was proving interesting, he wanted to reign supreme without ruling and he wanted to do so without claiming the world as his. It was an odd concept and one that didn't make too much sense to Varys, maybe he had a plan or a concept to work from.
It seemed to Varys however he would firstly need to reproduce. Which indeed made him wonder, was there any more of his kind? Better yet were there any female of his kind? Without that much he couldn't call himself supreme, only an oddity of nature.
"As near as I can tell you still want to rule, perhaps not you yourself, but the people you represent."

"Think what you want human but for now I have faith in my future people's ability to wrest control of the world from yours," Hadrian said with a soft chuckle as he continued to observe Varys. He was indeed a rather unassuming young man, one would not recognize the power dwelling within him very easily. Hadrian respected his ability to conceal his power so well. Hadrian chuckled again, Varys would be an interesting test of his abilities.
"Well regardless of my future plans for my people, what we have in the here and now seems a bit more imporant. You and I, both unknown to each other...at least in terms of power and skill. What do you say to a spar, I would like to test my mettle against those creatures of yours," he said with a dark grin, a soft flap of his wings stirred some dust around them as he laid down his challenge.
