It was getting chillier out now the cold winds from the north blowing down the cool air from the vast snow covered lands. It would be winter soon here at Arcane Midori could feel it in her very bones. She was extremely in tune with nature and she would not be shocked if it snowed in the next three days. Her knight stood and she followed.
Brushing off her skirt she smoothed it down as Fiat walked over. As much as she didn't want to leave Lanji the prospect of seeing him again soon when they could go to that special secret place meant more. She knew he would like it for like her he enjoyed nature and all it's little joys and gifts. She felt the soft kiss on her forehead and it made her smile. It always did his little kisses. Because to her the small things like that meant more to her many times than the kisses on the lips. Showing her affection in the smallest ways seemed to reach her heart in the biggest.
"Until then, my fair knight. For I shall wait for thee until night fall if I must." she said softly and bowed to him with a chuckle.
But soon her arm was caught and she was lifted up like she weighed nothing up into his arms. She smiled and leaned against him sitting side saddle as she closed her eyes while Fiat took them towards the academy. It was just like the faerie tales she had read. Where the knight picks up the maiden he loves and carries her off into the sunset. Well though it wasn't quite sunset yet it mattered not because for Midori there was one man in her life and one man only.
His name was Lanji Ramano and he had won her heart.
