"Esiuhoieufe, Ayschoine, you two practice using my spells correctly, alright?"
They looked at him, nodded, and walked over to the other end of the field. They satred using his more advanced magic, controling it better than he could.
It made him smile slightly. They would be a great help when it came to fighting Melzas. They were better with his magic then he was, and he diddn't really care. It was back to what he COULD do.
Inoan Close Quarters Combat, more commonly known as ICQC.
He unleased his staff to its full 6-foot length, and started doing basic moves, and spinning manuvers, moving toward more complex ariel moves.
He went on for an hour or two.
Esiuhoieufe and Ayschoine had gone back to the dorm, and he found hmself alone. It was dark out, and his night-vision was better than you would think. About as good as a vampire's, if not better.
He saw a figure in the distance, and called out to it.
"Stop staring. If you want to train, then lets go, already!"

Grey had been observing the boy, or whatever he was, performing some moves with his staff. Pretty decently, but that was not what caught his attention. Grey was old, not as old as many other vampires, but old enough to have seen his share of magic use in the streets. But he had never seen two spirits, ghosts, familiars or whatever they were like this, he simply couldn't determine what they were. It bugged him slightly, but he knew the only way to find out was to challenge them, but that proved to an unnecessary action.
At the boy's request, Grey began walking to wards him, slowly, confidently and with dignity. "By all means, let's grab a round." He said, smiling. He had fought armed opponents before, but he had a felling that this would be a tad more interesting. He took his defensive position, knowing all to well how important the first blow could be in a fight. "You want to go first?"

Roy put his staff away, eager to test his unarmed ICQC. Especially against a vampire.
Yes, Roy knew this guy was a vampire, and possibly a Lycanthrope. How? Because Roy is a studious yuong man. That's how.
The basic ICQC stance was noting more than a Karate stance, and from there, Roy took off at half-speed, which was still a decent clip, straight at mister suck-face.
After closing the distance half way, he picked up speed, and was moving about twice the speed a normal human can.
And he jumped. Without magical assistance, he could easily launch himself over someone that was as tall as this guy. He sailed over the guy, and launched a three-kick combo at the back of his head, finishing with a two fingered strike to the nerve cluster in the base of the neck.
Whee.

Getting the shot in when and where your opponent couldn't defend, that was the basic spirit of most forms of buisness strategy, war tacticts and martial art forms. As his foe leapt off the ground, seeking to go over Grey, Grey simply leapt into the air and counter kicked him in the gut. The problem with doing it like this was that the kick would not yield full effect as some of the energy would push them apart rather than damage him. The good things were that his foe would be unable to defend properly and would probably land badly.
Grey was pushed away by the force of the kick and landed a few yards away, the sole of his shoes soundlesly making contact with the ground. He stood a few moments pretending to be dissapointed, while his every sense was working to predict the next move from his foe. "You save the fancy moves for the crowd" He explained. "One on one, you do the boring stuff until your opponent lets his guard down"

Well, that hadn't worked. Too damn bad. Roy had fallen from the air, with a smirk on his face. He hit the ground, getting back to his feet with a handspring, and launching himself at this vampire guy once more.
Running at his usual elf-speed clip, he drew his staff.
You want boring, asshat? Here comes a "Boring" strike...
Roy spun to the side, staff outstreched. He extended his staff as he turned, creating a sort of "Vortex" style strike. The only way to avoid it would be to go straight up, or backwards.
Whether it was dodged or not, a simple three-jab combo would be the follow up.

Feeling that there was little else that he could do, Grey unleashed his chi in the form of a shockwave, aimed at the charging youth, intending to knock him back. The use of staffs had borught several advanteges, including range, appliance of power and defensive opportunities, but once you got in close enoguh they simply were no good.
If the shockwave hit, which was likely but not guaranteed, it would undo the boy's balance and thereby th eusefulness of his staff. Grey would take advantage of this by closing on him and unleashing a furious combo of palm strikes and try and get a few hooks in on the boy's kidneys, attempting to paralyze him.
If the shockwave didn't hit home, for one reason or another, He would stay his ground and use his toughned flesh and hardened bones to repel the attacks until an opening or opportunity to grab the staff presented itself, at which point he would reply the furious result in kind.
This might even get his heart up and pumping

Okay.....so Roy really had no idea how to fight a vampire. This wouldn't end well. Espcially if this guy diddn't abide by academy rules.
I need something he can't see coming, something invisible. Soanates.
"Soanates!", Roy screamed, letting the invisible force push out from his hand, and rush straight at the vampire. It was invisible, ever expanding, and undodgeable.
Vampires....pompous fools who think they're worth more than anyone else. This one will be humbled.
Falling into step just behind the wall of invisible force, Roy sheathed his staff. As soon as the wall of force connected, Roy would flash a small fire in his palm as he struck the vampire with it, connecting roughly in the chest area.

Grey sheard his quarry scream something that sounded like a spell, and prepared himself to leap out of the way of whatever it was, but he saw nothing. The boy put away his staff and a small flame appeared in his hand. Grey was a bout to counterleapp, when his wave of chi connected with soemthing, but not the boy. The two forces fluing themselves against each other and seemingly imploded, a small explosion of force pushing Grey a few steps back, his clothes fluttering in the burst of air.
He quickly regained his stance, however, wondering why his opponent had denied himself the advatages of a staff. The boy's movements as well as his previous attempted attack, told of grace, speed and discipline but it didn't speak too highly of combat experince, a thing that Grey possessed in abundance.
As the the boy closed in on him and struck with his flaming hand, Grey would grab him by the wrist and pull it past himself, eliminating the threat. He would plant the elbow of his other arm in his foe's face as he hindered the attack, then quickly shift and grab his head and head butt it, then kick him in the gut to push him away. He could bite him, but then there would be the threat of being set on fire meanwhile, and that was not part of Grey's plans for the evening

"Who's got who?" Roy asked with a smirk, as Mr.Suckface grabbed his arm by the wrist.
Here it goes...don't lose control, Roy. You can hurt him, but not kill him.
Roy's eyes narrowed, and seemed to glow with an inner light, as his smirk grew into a snarl.
"Ignus!", Roy screamed, as his entire right arm burst into flame, starting at the point where the vampire had grabbed it. His left hand was emitting a steady stream of fire, so he turned on his heel, intending to bathe the vampire in flames.
"Soanates!", Roy screamed, suddenly extinguishing the fires. If all had gone well, the vampire would have let go, and been wounded gravely.
He's not going to bite me...I'm not going to die!

Grey had let go, jumping backwards hissing with pain. "You're gonna pay for that." He hissed, malice in his voice. He had managed to avoid the flamebath, but his hand now bore a burn that hurt like hell.
Grey was growing angry, and an angry vampire was never a good thing. Once again arousing his chi, he infused his body with the forsaken energies that he hid in his soul, imbuing his movements with preternatural speed. This kid was good, but he had made a mistake when he had not managed to incinerate Grey. Grey charged, his every movement a blur, his smile replaced with a furious snarl, baring his teeth. There was pain to repay.
He would go for the boy's kidneys and his solar plexus, striking with all his infuriated strength, using his palms and evetually kicking for his head. Grey was fast enough and sufficietnly prepared to avoid anything that would be thrown at him, and he longed to feel the boy's pain reverbrate through his own body. This fight had become personal at last.

"Are you even a student here?" Roy asked as he grunted with the effort it took to dodge and block the blows. He made a neffort to stay in melee range, since his mana was deminishing, but his physical speed still remained.
Roy wasn't done just yet. He still had some ICQC tricks up his sleeve.
Using a weapon was out of the question, as long as his opponent was unarmed, so Roy threw a series of short jabs, and shifted himself backwards, into a defensive position.

Grey felt the effects of the chi boost he had used wearing off, but as his anger also cooled off he became observant once again. A few jabs, nothing too powerful and Grey let a few of them go through, until he saw his window. Twisting his arm so that it connected with the inner arm of one his foe's launched punches and wrapped his arm around it, effectively trapping him. Then he threw an uppercut into his foes gut and put one of his own legs behind him, planting the hand he had punched with on his foes face and pushing him, tripping him with the aformentioned leg as he did so, smashing the back of his head to the ground
"To answer your question" Grey said, stepping away as he dusted himself off. "Yes, I am. Why and how doesn't concern you, but yes, I came here as a student." He stood, looking down at the boy. He was ready to attack or jump back at any moment, but he hid it well. "Are you gonna get up?" He asked, thirsting

"I was asking for your own safety. If not, I could kill you and be done with it."" Roy spat at the monster. He stood up, nearly going for the silver dagger in his boot.
"I'd rather not get expelled, you pompous pice of shit. I'm leaving before that little fire incident is repeated."
Roy was about to turn on his heel and walk away, when Esiuhoieufe and Ayschoine showed up. "There is NO way you're ending the fight here. Get back over there! Esiuhoieufe and I have mana to spare."
Ayschoine rushed straight at the vampire, and diddn't scream it, but BELLOWED "IGNUS!"
She spun as she flew toward the vampire, sending waves of fire at him once more. "Ayschoine , no!" Was all Roy had time to say before she had leapt into action.

"Calm down, I didn't go that nasty" Grey felt insulted. Today's youth, whether human or otherwise, had no sense of respect. "You should get a hold on that tongue of yours" A draw, not to bad. Grey would admit, but only to himself, that the boy had been a worthy opponent. He was about to turn around and return to the night to stalk for prey when he heard someone say something. He spun around on his heel, to find the two creatures from before trying to persuade the elementalist to continue the fight. Grey decided to stand by until the three of them had ended their little debate, he might actually get to feed here after all.
He didn't have to wait for long as one of the guy's apparant familiars charged at him, using the same fire spell that had burnt his hand. One of the advantages of being undead was that you didn't need to breathe, granting you an advantage when playing games of exhaustion. He would simply try and dodge whatever was thrown at him, until they had depleted their energy. "Can't keep control of your own friggin' familiars" He asked after he had performed a series of backwards somesault, exiting the reach of the flamewaves. "No wonder you had to come here"

With a resounding "THWACK!", Roy smacked Ayschoine in the back of the head.
"Stop it! We CAN'T kill him. I don't exactly want to be expelled from this place! If I can't learn here, my home town is doomed! STAND DOWN!"
Ayschoine looked at him in disbelief, and then remembered thoughts Roy had accidentaly sent her way. "Right...the whole Melzas thing." She looked to the vampire, and said "How about you fight him off school grounds? That way, we wouldn't need to hold back!"
"I'm not interested in killing vampires. I have more important things to take care of. In other words, I'll see you later, Suckface. Next time, it's open season."
Roy sheathed his weapon, and left. Followed by the twin forms of the two Elementals.
