ADMINISTRATOR INTERVENTION

Give me a few minutes. There will be no arguing here. I'll post again soon, after taking into account statistic comparisons, armor, weapons, and most importantly, description.

Administrator Decision

Lack of RP Detail, no matter how much knowledge was thrown in.

Verdict:
-It's a God-Mod.

A 'large kantana' or, kantana that is abnormally large would range to be about '3 shaku' or more. A shaku being 11.93 in. About 33 inches. The same length's as Xia's In other words.. since Rakel somehow RPed jumping out of the way quickly enough (granted, if Xia tried that, he'd get owned due to his armor), and the utter lack of description.. Rakel would've just swiped his sword at air, in the place where he just avoided a sword strike.

Xia Tianku fights with more technicallity advantages here, but, your both honestly at an equal level of fight here, the only differences being 'endurance' and 'dexterity' in a fight without magic.

Due to Xia Tianku's history, it somewhat justifies his ability to wear 70lbs armor, especially with training, and therefore, it must be permitted that Rakel also has a similar advantage with his sword. However, if either of you were to fight one of our more 'statistically' advanced characters on a non-magical terms, like Phaedra Weiss, no matter how much history you had, you'd both be at a disadvantage of strength, speed and endurance, unless she failed to provide enough information.

In other words.. remember. You guys may act like 'bad-asses', but you're both yet to 'get up there', until you participate in missions, events, and more duels.

I admit, this has been difficult, because it's a measure between Xia's superior dexterity, but then, with 70 lbs of armor... and then, with Rakel's lower dexterity, and rather large, and unspecified sword description..

Therefore.. to compromise, so that no one is the better:
-Rakel receives a small cut at the front of his chest, but is barely even minorly injured, due to 'evasion'.
-Both attacks basically failed (Rakel evaded...[eh.. even to me, this seems too iffy...], because of he RPed jumping out of the way, as well as some history experiance.. Rakel's attack failed because of lack of specifications, and because the evasion itself seems too iffy (no detail on getting yourself in the proper stance or anything)
-I'm setting the distance between you two to be 4 ft. No arguments.

But, I mostly rule in Xia's favor, because you failed to RP even taking into account your character's reaction to Xia's feint.. so, I'm letting you off easy. If you have any complaints, feel free to PM me. If you have any question, feel free to PM me.

Edit: I'd like to add that if you decide your sword is longer then 3 feet/shaku.. you'll have to edit that after. Until then, I'm assuming it's a 3-foot blade, since that already is large-ass.

Rakel felt his old cut on his chest be reopend a slight bit. His bandages were cut as well making them fall open and to the ground. ALong his stomach there was an open wound slowly oozing. Rakel gave a small smirk.

Though he did not waste time. He rushed back at Xai slashing with his weapon bringing it from his lower right upwards to his left aiming for Xai's arm. As he swung he leaned to his left attampting to clear his foe's range. After all his weapon was over five feet long in length and he was aiming for only the first few inches to hit as he only wanted to mark his foe not truly injure him.

Xia Tianku did not linger in his striking position once he saw Rakel begin his counter offensive. Foresight was one of Tianku's many talents. Rakel had his blade docked at his lower right side. At this point, Rakel's attack would be predictable. The only way he could attack now would be an upwards diagonal slash, moving from right to left; unless he desired to dislocate his shoulder, or waste time by trying to angle his blade for a different attack vector.

The Mobiae still had its clutches in Tianku's body, and was now driving him to kill this man. But Tianku's human consciousness was resisting the urge to slay Rakel. "This man has insulted you, Tianku. Allow me to free his mind from his body, so that he may learn something of worth!" The Mobiae exclaimed. Tianku's rebuttal followed not even a millisecond after the Mobiae had made his intent clear. "Do not kill him yet. He has yet to realize the extent of his grievous mistake." "I knew you would not have the mindset to kill him, this is why I have taken over. But if you so desire to give him a second chance, do so mercilessly. And take in the look on his face when has realized his complete and utter defeat! Study it long and hard; know that he will never think of you the same way again after this!"

While this mental argument was occurring, the Mobiae moved Tianku's body into a position to intercept Rakel's foolish charge. He brought his blade to his side, the point towards his back, and the pommel to his front (1 second). And moved to his right, while keeping himself oriented towards Rakel, stayed low, and evaded Rakel's slash; but by an extremely narrow margin of 3 inches (1 second). He charged in and in the blink of an eye (3 seconds) struck Rakel with his sword's pommel on his open wound, and then with his left hand he grasped Rakel's left shoulder, and extended his left leg. He dug the tip of his blade into the ground, and pulled Rakel forward, in an attempt to flip him over the pommel and force him to the ground.

As he did, he shouted out to Rakel, "I have drawn first blood! If you do not wish for this duel to continue to the death, then submit!"

Rakel chuckled slightly as he felt the pommle slam into his wound. One thing the medicine in the flask did aside from keeping the wound from bleeding heavily was to numb it completely. But the attack had enough force to make him go back a step.

While the fool ran his mouth Rakel swung his weapon back down aiming to slam into his shoulder at the base of his neck as he was being froced down only takeing a full second for his swing which even with his weapon wasn't really quick. He then hit the ground rolling about ten feet away to his feet and stood there with his eyes narrowed slightly.

This fool belives me to be this slow. If he does it again the next time I won't use the back of my blade. He thought as he stood there keeping his eye locked on his foe's.

He then gave some more thought. He had found this to be a worth foe. With thier differences Rakel really didn't have many options. He gave a soft sigh and a simiarly soft smile thought he smile was covered by the scarf
"I'll give this fight to you. It's pointless to go on right now. I'll give you credit you're good. But this isn't our last battle. Next time things will be different." He said without any trace of threat. It was simply a promise.

He hefted his weapon over his shoulder and began walking off the training grounds. he'd have to go get more bandages then think back to the battle a bit.

Tianku stood there and took the hit, and as expected, it was pretty hard. It knocked him to his lunging position to a kneel and he grasped his shoulder and winced. It was then that the Mobiae resigned control of the body back to Tianku. He disliked showing any sign of pain, but it had to be done. He had to give credit where it was due. He looked out towards Rakel, and saw him heft his mighty weapon onto his shoulder and turn about to walk away. He hadn't caught what Rakel had said, the clang made when his armor was hit had his ears ringing a little. But he had a pretty good idea of what it was.

He stood up, and rotated his shoulder a few times to assure himself that it wasn't dislocated. He then pulled his sword from the earth and flicked his wrist and let go; the blade followed a skyward trajectory and spun so the point was facing down. Then gravity kicked in and the blade now fell like a comet shooting through the night's sky. He caught the handle above his head, and gently slid the weapon into a loop on his tasset's left plate. There the sword was to rest, for now at any rate. He looked at Rakel's back for a few seconds, searching for words. "I'll be looking forward to the next time we meet on the field." He muttered as he turned about and began his own retreat from the ring.

(That was very mature of you man, I was honestly expecting you to continue fighting. Anyways, god-modding aside, it was a good fight. Thanks.)

You know I have to keep explaining this. I didn't intend to god-mode/cheat. whatever you call it. I just described my intended attacks and changed with each of your responses because I accepted the attacks failed. But i am serious about the timing. A character like your's could easily attack 2xs or 3xs faster than you described. But anyways good deul. I'll fight you again after I have worked on my rp battle descriptions to avoid this kind of thing. That is assuming Sword doesn't ban me. I recently wasn't very nice to him. Granted he did have it coming.

Meh, don't worry about getting banned by The Sword, mods don't have that power, only admins do. But it'd still be wise to watch out, since he could put in the request. But here's to hoping you're not, right?
