Well, that didn't quite work as planned. The roots had been broken, and the desired impalement had become a mere scrape. And now Nanashi was about to have part of his own sword flung at him. Almost casually, Nanashi knocked it aside with his remaining sword blade, and then promptly retrieved and reattached the blade to it's regular location. He then turned back to his opponent, and pondered his next move. He had three scrolls left: Fire, water, and earth. None were terribly useful in this situation.
Well, there was one thing he could do... But that would require Tristan to attack first. So instead, Nanashi simply put his hand inside his robe, hand on his earth scroll, and held his sword out in his regular stance, blades horizontal to the ground.

Tristan thought for a moment. Nanashi's hand was in his robe again, meaning that he was gripping a scroll. The Crusnik hadn't fought this boy enough to know what scroll's he'd have left, but if he had to guess, there would be earth, water, lightning, fire, and spirit...that of course was based on the assumtion that Kinkatsu had all of the elements, and only one of each scroll.
Water was the natural assumption to what Tristan would think would be used against him, as Nanashi knew Tristan was primarily a fire element. Next assumption was earth, a dome or something similar to stop a dive. Third would be lightning, to hit a flying opponent, fourth spirit, as spirit attacks could drain someones energy, much like Tristan's Seoligna.
Only question now was how to attack. Dive, earth scroll to block, though Tristan could pull up and evade. Hell most points of physical attack right now could be dispelled by an earth scroll. If he did nothing, there was a chance Nanashi would attack with the water or lightning. An attack with fire would just be pointless, so that could be ruled out as this young man wasn't an idiot.
This thought process went on for about a minute before Tristan decided to dive. He was going a little over twenty miles an hour, both bladed hands in a guarding position. The Crusnik was going slow so as to be able to evade if necesary, but the attack plan for now was to pull up and aside at the last second and knock Nanashi down with more or less a bitch slap from the left crusnik wing. If that hit, he wouldn't get more than a bruise, a bit of whiplash, and a small cut from one of the feathers.
