The hunters momentum stopped, much to his surprise. Normally, Eiki wouldn't have been able to even slow Tristan down, but being in the air, he was kind of screwed. In the same instant that had Eiki changing forms with his white eyes, Tristan's eyes too changed. Only instead of his usual glowing red eyes, they glowed a pale blue that eminated in a slightly green hue out from his glasses. This was a technique that he'd just gotten a hang of, but not yet mastered...True Sight. As a reactionary technique, it activated when ever Tristan needed it. Hell half the time he couldn't use it when he wanted to...only when he needed to.
The problem was, that his body was in such a position that he couldn't dodge...not completely...not in time. His body arced back and his head did the same but the fist still came in slow motion, which was how every thing was coming to those glowing blue eyes at the moment. The strike wasn't direct, and was pushed up by Tristan's positioning, but it was still powerful.
Boom. Tristan was there one second, not there the next, instead he was flying back and spinning backward until he finally hit the ground, managing to be upright. Unfortunetaly enough for him, he hadn't been hit that hard in ages, and he went rolling. Albeit it was somewhat controlled compared to his aerial spinning from before, but it was still pretty bad. The man finally stopped on his feet, and was breathing heavily. A moments look would say that Tristan was pissed. Another moments look would say that his jaw was locked up, which was why he was breathing through clenched teeth. A fist came to the side of the jaw and cracked it to the side, releasing it from its locked state.
The man continued to breath heavily, somewhat hunched over. "The fuck was that?" He asked himself, seeing Eiki slumped over, out of it. As he rubbed his jaw, it twinged, and he thought to himself that he needed to get a defensive chakra spell sometime soon. A minute or so later, Tristan stood, and Igneus flew over, carrying Shireiutz in his claws, rather laboringly, but the little dragon was one strong bastard. Tristan gripped his sword when his partner dropped it into his hand, and spun it around into its holster with much less flair than there might have been if he hadn't been nailed like that.
As Igneus hovered, Tristan cracked his neck with that left hand once it was done with the blade. "That was probably the toughest newbie I've ever seen...Damn demons." And it was true...He'd never fought an apprentice who was that resiliant, but then again, he was just as tough when he had started out on Babylos. Granted he'd have fought with a little more grace, but sheer size seemed to have its advantage here. Momentarily, Igneus transformed and Tristan was six feet in the air, ontop of his medium sized partner. Igneus marched over to the man on the ground, and positioned himself for easy access.
Tristan lugged the guy up onto Igneus' back, avoiding the spikes running the spine, then jumped up. From his partners back, Tristan grabbed up the massive stone like blade. "You need a smaller sword...You might have lasted longer if you'd been able to use this thing more." He said through a pained jaw, heaving the rediculously huge blade over a shoulder. The additional weight was annoying to the dragon under foot, but being five tons himself, he could handle it...just wouldn't be able to fly most likely.
After Tristan said what he was going to say, they were all gone. Igneus' relatively silent teleportation had activated and they were on the way to the recovery wing.
