Boom! The recovery wing shook with over three tons of dragon flesh. "Sorry. Not used to teleporting directly in here." Igneus apologized, as the enormous quaking motion would cause all of Tas' wounds to vibrate. "Hey, Igneus. Tristan out again?" Mey sat behind her desk, holding down her papers as she could feel the slight flux of mana out from the training grounds that she recognized as Igneus' teleportation.
"You wish." Tristan said, gently sliding off his partners back with a slight scraping sound as his blade raked across the scales. He embraced the fall with his legs, greatly softening the jarring. The hunter walked over to the bed and slid Tas onto the cloth, trying not to worsen the injuries he'd inflicted. "I really gotta learn how to heal.... I can heal my self, but if I tried that I'd kill someone...." As Mey walked over. She was a rather attractive arch-mage class medic, whose hair was pulled back in a bun. She whistled as she saw the damage inflicted on the girl, "Damn, Tristan. Didn't know you were a wife-beater." She joked, brushing him aside and putting her hands on Tas' body, assessing a broken rib or two, as well as the rest of the damage.
The Crusnik didn't say any thing to that one, and simply sat on the adjacent bed after taking off his blade and laying it against the wall.

What jolts she does get during the arrival is only enough to extract a few pained grunts from her. Though privately Tas was considering being a lot more vocal. Nearly every part of her had some injury somewhere, so any movement rubbed something the wrong way. She nearly blacks out as she is put on a bed, but hangs on to conciousness. Fainting upon arrival wouldn't look too good after surviving the trip so she sticks with it, trying not to thing about how much blood she was getting on the (hopefully) clean sheets she was on.
"Very funny." was Tas' faint comment on the joke by the nurse, being mock serious even though she did find it a little funny. Then she grits her teeth. While the assessment was competently and gently done, it did cause her some discomfort as the nurse checked the extent of her injuries.
Once it is over she gives a small sigh before flicking a glance at Tristan. "I'm guessing you... are a regular here?"

Mey finished her assessment and went to get the proverbial crack-cocaine of pain killers. Despite healing, one would still feel pain, especially with this much of an extensive set of injuries. To the question, "Sort of. Most of the time I'm on this end, though I have stumbled in here half, or not at all conscious. First time, Igneus dragged me through the door...and he only had his small form to do it in." He chuckled, as his partner had sent him the grueling images of him dragging Tristan's half lifeless body in here, the very first visit.
A few seconds later, Mey came back with a bottle of pills and her sleeves rolled up. She plopped the bottle on the side table, next to Shireiutz, and put her hands over Tas' body. "You picked one hell of a tough one, there missy. This guy's put more people in the hospital than I care to count. Some of 'em were much higher ranked." A light blue, almost white glow eminated from her hands. "From how badly he beat you, and the fact that I don't think you've been here before, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say your only an apprentice." Then she leaned in, "Picked quite the looker, though." She whispered with a wink, knowing full well Tristan's Crusnik ears could pick up on it with ease.
He steamed for a minute there and only wished he could plant his foot up Mey's ass, but knew she could kick his half way back to Japan. Not averting his gaze, and acting as though he hadn't heard it, Tristan sat there as the ever so familiar glow brightened into almost an aura that covered Tas' body, slowly but surely closing up wounds, and realigning bones, albeit rather painfully.

Tas eyes him skeptically, suspecting she is being played for a fool. "Stumbled in... You? Pfft" She starts to shake her head in disbeleif, but then hastily aborts the motion with a wince. "You're bad... alone... but with Igneus? You two... are dangerous. Very."
The nurse comes back then and Tas listens quetly, giving a tiny nod when her suspected rank is mentioned. The final whisper stalls her from answering as she is torn between embarassment and laughter. She is unintentionally saved from the state by a wave of pain as Mey did her work. She also manages to grate out a response.
"Fight was... nngh, his idea... y'know, that kinda... hurts... ow..." She was finding the feeling of bones knitting and flesh mending extremely disconcerting as well as painful. It almost felt as if her body wasn't hers anymore, which she really didn't like.

Mey sped up the healing, pouring more of her huge mana stores into the girl. Her leg snapped back in place and began reknitting, as did her ribs. Doubtless, that was the most painful part of the process, but it needed to be done. The skin began sealing up, and the blood began rising up. "You think Igneus looks dangerous now? You should see him when he's pissed. That little lightning ball was hardly what he could do, even in that smallest form. If he was full sized and blasted you full force, that probably would have almost annihilated you in one shot." Tristan said calmly.
Mey chuckled slightly, as she'd had to heal someones familiar once...after Igneus got done with it. "Almost done now. The pain will still be there, but thats what those are for." She nodded her head to the bottle on the table. It really was amazing, she thought, how Tristan could do that much damage to a student at the Academy. She leaned in again, this time really being quiet, and right next to Tas' ear so as not to let Tristan hear. "So what did you do? He'd have stopped long before he got to this point unless you really pissed him off." The skin was soon flawless again, though the clothes were pretty screwed.

Once the healing is over Tas is left panting like she'd done a marathon, and more or less feeling like it too. Except that she could still feel the broken (now mended) ribs. One shoulder is used for a small shrug to Mey's whisper, and she immediately wishes she hadn't done that. "Didn't do... much... just have trouble... dodging..." She falls quiet for a few moments to get a little breath back, then offers a shakey grin. "He's much faster... hit me every time he tried. I didn't hit him back, i think..." was her humble admission, as playing up her personal performance was not her style. She gingerly tries to push herself up but is forced to stop when pain lances through her again. "My... apologies, Igneus. Didn't mean to hit you."

Tristan heard what Tas had said. That reminded him of his arm. Looking over and raising it, he could see the severe scorch delt to the material. "I forgot about that. What did you use at the end? That thing got me pretty good, even though it hadn't touched me yet." He said, Beginning to scribe a transmutation circle of ashed air onto his sleeve. A few moments later, he'd touch the completed circle, and his energy would glow in that repetitive blue light.
It was a richer blue than normal, but it was what it was. The hide began reparing itsself under Tristan's alchemy. Igneus transformed then, releaving the floor of his mass, and hovering over to the bed his partner sat on. He really would have to work on that bang. He could quiet it a little, but it still sounded like a twenty-two going off. Mey waved her hand through the smoke as she walked away, getting a glass of water. She came back quickly enough and handed it to Tas.
"I don't think your old enough for me to have to tell you to not drink any alcohol with these things, but I will any way. Last person who did that didn't wake up for a week." She said, opening the bottle and handing an extraordinarily small blue tablet to the girl. "I don't think I've ever needed those." Tristan commented, his coat almost back to form. This particular alchemy was slow and annoying, but it was easier than trying to find another black dragon hide. "Well, your a Crusnik. A little vampire blood and your good as new. You never needed it." Tristan shrugged slightly. It was true enough, any Crusnik worth a damn could heal themselves with ease, as long as they had some blood.

She looked suprised. "What, you mean i got you?" she said thoughtfully, then she snorted with laughter. "Oh yeah. I got you with a charge."
Before she could elaborate on that the nurse returns with some water, which she accepts greatfully. Wanting to stop hurting as soon as she can she takes the pill with a sip of water and settles to wait for it and continues. "It's my other weapon... a small magical, or semi-magical, explosive. At least i now know... it doesn't react well to fire. At all." Tas writhes on the bed, using her left arm to get the charge case off the back of the belt. Lying on it had been uncomfortable.
"Reloading it..." she murmered as some of her circles appear around the blackened, slightly buckled case. Then she holds it out to Tristan to look at as the circles disappeared. "Oh yeah. D'you know what happened to my gun?" It had taken her this long to realise her holster was empty.

Tristan nodded at the charge. Interesting proposition. The hunter hadn't thought to use actual explosives...just the erruption of high pressure air in his wind spells. Namely Kamataichi. Mey sat down next to Tristan, not really wanting to get back to her work. The small dragon inched his way away from her hip as the dip in the material had almost caused him to tip over. When Tas mentioned her gun, the man looked up.
His eyed glazed over momentarily as he remembered just where it was. "I think I destroyed it, actually. It was that cannon in your armor form, right? I knocked it off with that fire-armor-dive-bomb and I think I smashed it into the dirt when I landed. It might still be intact, but I kinda doubt it." He said, his eyes returning to normal as his reflecting ceased. [Go check, if it's still in one piece, try and bring it back here.] He thought to Igneus who jumped off the bed, exploded into his medium form, and without landing nor clearing the smoke, teleported out onto the battle grounds.
"Armor form huh? So that's why he beat you so bad. Never go into an alternate form against Tristan, it's his nature to test it's limits." The arch-mage said simply, imagining the carnage of the battle. A few moments later, Igneus was crashing into the tile floor, his mouth open slightly. "Found it, kinda beat up though." Then let it bounce onto the foot of Tas' bed.

Tas lifts the cd-like charge out of its case and twirls it casually with two fingers. "Small but useful. And also semi-magical... though the only energy i spend on one is what it takes to replace them." As she speaks Tas uses her other hand to push up into a sitting position, sighing with releif now that the pain was fading. She shoots Mey a greatful glance. "Thank you... hurting like that was a real pain. Hm." An accidental pun. Great.
She hesitates as Igneus goes on his errand and smiles as Igneus comes back, though the expression falters a little when she sees her gun. Igneus gets a gentle pat on the head for his trouble before she reclaims the desert eagle, tracing the damage with an idle finger. "Yeah, this was the cannon. You took it clean off Tristan." As she attempts to pull back the slider part of the grip falls off. She shrugs and puts it firmly back on again.
"And i need to go alternate. It allows my strongest magic." she goes on, hesitantly. "And while Tristan found its weaknesses, it has strengths too. It can take an unreal amount of physical damage. Which he set out to give me, unfortunately." A reluctant chuckle comes from her as her sense of humour kicks in again. "Could have been worse. Records say one circlet caster got a water fountain as his alternate form... the poor guy changed to a different magic style after that."

Tristan nodded as Tas spoke. "Apparently it wasn't good enough. It must be slow or something then, while Tristan isn't the fastest guy on the rock, he's faster than any normal human." The hunter nodded as Igneus transformed again, filling the place with more annoying smoke. Mey waved her hand back and the enourmous windows at the end of the wing flew open, allowing a strong breeze to begin ventilating the area. "It was slow. Your going to have to work on that. I can help you train if you want." He commented, looking at Tas' oddly yellow eyes.
The dragon hovered back down to his original place, close to Mey's hip, though not close enough for the dip, caused by a hundred and twenty pounds of arch-mage, to effect him. Going back on a thought about strongest magics in alternate forms, "My Crusnik form is also stronger than what you see now. Though as yet, my magic is limited. I have most of the elements as a human, but over half are cut off as a Crusnik. It has its upsides though." Chuckling slightly, "I doubt that the Crusnik's are something you wanna see if you think I'm powerful now."
That would be a serious business. The Crusnik form was stronger, faster, and all around kicked more ass than much any thing Tristan can muster in human form, though his Teolus spell is nothing to fuck with. Mey moved her body to bump Tristan with her crossed arms. She thought it rather mean of him to torment the poor girl with thoughts of some unknown being pounding on her with even more power than what she'd already seen.

The tormenting was hitting the mark, Tas had paled considerably as she caught the meaning of what Tristan was saying. He'd hammered her so thoroughly... when he wasn't fighting at full strength? It was something she'd rather not dwell on. "Well, the strength isn't the issue..." she starts, in a slightly uneven voice. "It's the speed... if i could keep up, the strength wouldn't matter." Her lips press into a thin line, and she shudders. "If you're ok with it... i will. I'll train with you... as you are now. I really need to get faster." She shudders and looks away for a moment, blindly shoving her wrecked pistol back into its holster. Then she looks back, giving them a small shrug. "Sorry, it's just... unnerving to think about right now. Can we change the subject please...?" Tas favours them with a small smile. "Besides, i don't think you've introduced your friend yet, Tristan... shame on you."

Tristan chuckles as she stated how unnerving it was to talk about the possible carnage that a Crusnik Tristan could inflict on the girl. "It's better that you talk about it...rather than just up and see it at some point in time. But if you want to change the subject, thats fine." Then, when she said something about the friend, "You mean her? Or the sack of scales over there?" He indicated his partner with a nod of the head, who responded with a snort of flame. The alchemy finally ceased, Tristan's disrupted consentration had made the process take longer. While Tristan was fairly intelligent and could multi-task fairly well, it was such a complicated rebuild that it had to be slowed drastically to compensate for the talking and thinking.
Either or, they both needed an introduction...well, the intro's hadn't been given yet. "This is Mey, one of the head nurses here. And probably one of the few people on the island who can kick my ass. The black lump is Igneus, element dragon. I thought he was just a black dragon, but after going up against a certain demon, he gained lightning spells. So element dragon, he is." Igneus spat out a ball of lightning then, to demonstrate. It sizzled in mid air, half way between the beds, then crackled out of existance.
"He's also gained wind, but that ones a bit fickle when it comes to low power...it'd have to hit something." Igneus pipped in then, "I'm assuming that as I gain elements, their colors will be reflected in my scales and eyes, if you look, you can see flecks of yellow and light green." His psychism was developing, soon it would be full blown telepathy so he could communicate silently with non-psychics.

Tas nodded calmly, though she still looked shaken by his Krusnik abilities. "Yeah... i always liked Igneus. Liked him when i first saw you two in the crypt. You... took a little more getting used to though Tristan. No offence." She chuckles softly and settles back against her pillow. "And i'll deal with your form when i end up facing it. Hopefully it'll be a long time coming." she murmurs, a little fearfully.
After a few moments of thoughtful silence she looks at Mey, a half-grin on her face. "Remind me to be respectful to you, yeah, Mey?" she asks with mild amusement. "Anyone who can whip Tristan is certainly out of my league. Plus you're the doc, you should never alienate the doc."

Igneus did the equivalent of blushing, which could only be picked up through a mental connection. It was slight, but it was there, and it made Tristan crack another grin. Then the comment about the Crusnik form, "Might be sooner than you think. I'll take it easy, but in order to get better you need to fight people at their maximum power so you know how you can still harm them." His expression hardened into a small scowel for a moment as he went into a sort of teacher mode. He had thought of becoming a student teacher, but unless he was going to be a combat instructor, he wasn't all that interested.
"Heh, Will do." Mey pipped in a higher toned voice. "He's not joking either, he tried leaving before I felt him ready-" Tristan cut her off, "She nearly put me through the floor, lets put it that way." He chuckled as he said it. As did Igneus, he had been there to see it. "Through that very bed, infact." He laughed, reminicing to times when he was an apprentice, going on spell caster. It wasn't all that long ago, but it still seemed distant. Mey poked the Crusnik then, using her inhuman strength, Tristan laughed even harder as the pain coursed his arm.
This was the first time in a long time he opened up at all and just out right laughed. Fun times weren't something Tristan was accustomed to. Best times he usually had were demolishing hordes of vampires and watching the futility of their survival efforts. That or just plain kicking some poor guys ass who thought he could win with ease. "You need a good ass kicking every once in a while, keeps you real. Keeps you on the same level as every one els, even if you are stronger." Mey said in a partially serious tone.
Tristan nodded, it was true.
