Kelsie tried not to giggle outloud as Brandon began to move about their shared dorm looking for her. It was nice though, the way they still had so many childish aspects of themselves that they were able to drop the whole advanced adult syndrome and just have fun. It wouldn't be possible for her to be so relaxed and happy if it wasn't for Brandon being there with her again, she had so much fun being around him, he made her happy where others only made her sad or feel misplaced. It was nice to just relax and be a young girl and not have to worry about the world for the most part. Brandon was her world, her main focus.
He finished the bedroom playing how disappointed he was that he hadn't found her yet. She figured that he knew where she was. After all their rooms weren't that big and if she wasn't under the bed or in the closet that left the bathroom and only one real place for hiding. So Kelsie held her breath trying not to give anything away as he began looking under the sink and went as silly as to look under the bath mat. But then she moved the curtain aside and found her. Taking a breath Kelsie felt his hand cupping her cheek as she sat up gently and nuzzled into his soft touch. It was amazing still, that after all this time they had indeed found each other.
"Of course." she said happily.
Getting up and out of the tub she moved over to Brandon and hugged him tightly for a moment closing her eyes and just enjoying his strong arms wrapped tightly around her body. She pulled back gently and looked up into his eyes with a soft smile, even though she couldn't see she knew about where his eyes were located. Gently she closed her blue depths and let her lips meet with his. He had indeed won, but he always had and she had never minded. It was a fun game, and even better that they were together playing it. Breaking the soft kiss she smiled.
"Ready to go?" she whispered softly running her hand through the little bit of hair he still had on his head.

"Of course" She said, and Brandon smiled. She was someone very special, even if he was the only one who bothered to recognize it. She hugged him, and he hugged her back, holding her tightly, feeling his heart's desire right there in his arms. What had been done to her had not been done to him yet, but he was sure that was only because no one from his family knew he was still alive. He had fantasized, many times, about turnign up at his parents place, withotu calling them in advance, and then beat the shit out of them for what they had done to him and Kelsie.
He knew he could count on most of his friends from his present life to help him with that, but maybe that was what held him back. In his heart, he knew it would serve no goal, have no reason in his life, and only serve to make him want to hurt them even more. Would it be worth it, letting some steam off only to become a person that he hated being, and loosing your firends because they saw a side of you that scared them? He knew they wouldn't go willingly, but in the end theyød have no choice, and that was why he had decided it was not worth it, and he wouldn't do that to the idiots that had not only had the arrogance of considering themselves superior to his wonderful Kelsie, but even cast her out. They weren't worth it, the energy or the sacrifice.
She kissed him, the serene feeling of her lips against his own, healing his anger and letting it become peace in his soul. Nobody could do that to him, nobody but her. He kissed her back, his hands gently moving up and down her back as he embraced the sweet tranquility she gave him. She ended the kiss and he looked into her beautiful eyes as he felt her hand go through his hair. "Ok then" He answered her, smiling s over happily. He leaned in and kissed her just one more, letting it last for no mroe than a few seconds, savoring the sweet kiss as he always did. Breaking it, hugged her just another second before he let go. "If the suitcase is packed we can go when you want. There is a portal that opens in th back of shop, owned by a friend of mine, we can go there"
He reached his hand t oher cheek and began cupping it, feeling the soft touch of her skin through his metallic hand. "Just so you know, I haven't spoken to them in a while, so they don't know that we found each other again. And" He chuckled, remebering some of the jokes they had played on him "They'll most likely be cracking a joke or two about me and a guy called Relic. The story's simple, I haven't been with anyone in all the time they knew me, and Relic's gay." He laughed a little at that, they had been fun times. And he would enjoy sharing the future things he would experience with those wackos with Kelsie. "Ready to go, then?" He asked her, smiling as she always made him.

Kelsie and Brandon seemed to find their own little world when they were together. It was like nothing and no one could enter. They had found a place where their hearts and souls could connect easily and she loved it. Kelsie had never been happier than finding herself in Brandon's arms, and last night they had proved it more than ever, by making love to each other, showing each other what kind of special love they really had, and how great that love was. Brandon kissed her again and of course she returned it letting her lips carress his momentarily until he brought her in for a hug and she smiled hugging him back. Her eyes closed and she nuzzled her small face into the crook of his neck her small button nose was cold with the cool air of being under ground and Brandon's neck was very warm.
He pulled back telling her that his friends didn't know they were together yet. She had assumed they wouldn't and she was eager for them to meet the ever dreamed about Kelsie. She wondered if she would live up to the stories that Brandon had dreamed about, and told his one friend about. She wondered what they would think of her and suddenly she hoped that not only was she dressed nice but that she matched too. She straightened her clothing nervously when he said they could go.
"I look okay right? I want to look nice to meet your friends." she said softly fidding with the clothing she couldn't see.
Upon his answer she would probably blush and smile softly as he tended to do that to her. Then she would turn and grab her cane as well as whistle for Harley. She would kneel down and place Harley in his harness so he could make sure that she was safe since they were going to New York again and she didn't know how long they would be there, she was going to bring Harley. Once that was done she clipped her cane into Harley's vest so that she could use it when she needed it for the most part she would use Brandon and Harley to get around. But once they settled some place for the night she would use her cane, being a slightly independant girl.
"Ready.. " she said nervously as she grabbed the suitcase with one hand and Harley's harness with the other.
Together the three of them made their way to the little shop in the city. Brandon had taken the suitcase from her so she had a free hand to hold one of his and she smiled softly. They made small talk on the way and exchanged a few kisses looking more like newlyweds than just a couple dating but that was just how close Kel and Brandon were. Once in the shop Brandon led her to the back and she took a deep breath before they passed through the portal and out on the other side.

"You'll always be beautiful to me" Was Brandon's answer to her question, for a person who couldn't see she was very concerned with the way she looked, but Brandon guessed that was a girl thing, and it didn't make him love Kelsie any less. She was so cute when she blushed, he would tell her that someday, but not now. They would never get anywhere if they carried on like this. She knelt down and began putting Harley's harness on him, and Brandon went into the living room and donned his lab-coat. It was the only thing, except for Mek, that he had willingly brought along from his time with the SoG.
He checked if some of pockets were missing anything and found that they weren't. He was ready to go. He turned around and saw Kelsie stand with Harley by her side and the suitcase in her hand. "Awww, but I want to play gentleman" Brandon joked as he walked over to Kelsie and kissing her on the cheek, before he gently took the suitcase from her soft little hand. He knew a little portal that had been set up at the convenience of his friends. One was here in Babylos, the other in New York, but both of the portals opened up in the back of stores, both owned by his friends. It made for quick and cheap trafficking of goods, as well as free, even if it wasn't public, transport.
He led her there, to the shop in Babylos, holding her hand in his own as they made through way through the crowded streets. He would have to get used to it again, people looking at him as though he were a freak, but it didn't really bother him so much now. He knew he wasn't a freak, and never had been. Kelsie had helped him realize that. Where they would be going there wouldn't be any ordinary humans, or at least none that didn't understand to keep theirs mouthes shut concerning supernatural phenomena. Jonathan's brute tactics on that subject had proven remarkably succesfull, as the tracers had made very clear, from the start, that no breaches would be tolerated in that area, and no breaches had been made since.
Brandon didn't know the guy behind the counter, but he knew that the guys didn't come to Babylos often, the tracers... dissapproved of it. Jonathan had lost his temper once, and that was typically all it took. Brandon gave the guy a mock salute, and he nodded. That meant that he kenw who he was. "Right this way dear" Brandon said, putting his arm around Kelsie and squeezing slightly. "Not too far now"
Brandon hadn't been through any portals in quite a while, and with good reason. They made him nauseous, nothing bad just annoying. The portal opened up in that back of a pawn shop that contained its most valuable contents out back. The guy who was usually in there as the manager, Relic, was almost perfectly human except for one thing. He could read auras. That allowed him to sort through the customers who could see the 'real' goods and those who couldn't without troubling passwords or annoying codes.
"Just a sec Kel" Brandon said as he leaned forawrds, catching his breath. His head was spinning and his stoamch was acting wierd, but after a few seconds he felt fine again. "Ok, let's go" He said to Kelsie, but not before he had kissed the top of her head. He couldn't keep off from her, he loved being this close to her. He checked the camera monitors of the shop he had set up in here a while ago, to avoid encounters with... mundane people and enemies. The store was empty and it was getting dark. "Damn time-lag" Brandon muttered. Then again, this meant that Kelsie would also get to meet Greed, for better or worse.
Opening the door that lead into the back section of the store, where the employees hung out when there weren't any customers, Brandon immediatly spotted Relic. "Relic! How're you doing?" Brandon greeted his old friend, pulling him in for welcome hug. "Tech? Man, I haven't seen you in almost a year, how's buisness going?!" Relic was a young man in his late teens, who preferred to dress in strong, red colors. He was wearing a red T-shirt, a pair of black shorts and a red cap, as well as a golden chain around his neck. You almost never saw him without that chain.
"Buisness is good, life is better. I want you to meet someone special. Relic this is Kelsie, Kel Relic" "Well well well" relic said, sounding almsot impressed. "I never thouhgt I'd see the day. You must be quite a lady to bind Tech to ya. Welcome, friend of one, frind of all" That was basically Relic's way of saying 'make yourself at home', but he rarely did say anything that simple. "Can I fix you guys something? Coffee?" After recieving his answer Relic gestured at oen of the clerks of the shop who immediatly began to prepare the drinks. "Take a seat" Relic said, gesturing at a nearby couch before he sat himself down in a chair, a table now in between them. "So, you guys, tell me what you've been up to"

Kelsie was nervous. Her poor body was just shy of shaking with the nerves pulsing through her body. She was shy, that was for sure but even more than that she wanted to make a good impression on Brandon's friends. They walked through the city and Kelsie being blind was oblivious to any looks that Brandon was getting. Harley trudged along keeping her safe and everything and every so soften Kelsie would lean over and kiss Brandon's cheek softly and smile. She loved him so much, he was all she wanted in life anymore. She couldn't ask for one more thing unless it was sight, and she planned to talk to Brandon about that, he might be able to make something that could give her sight, if not, she wouldn't lose anything, she had never been able to see anyway.
Soon they entered the store and it smelled of dust, mold, and smoke. Kelsie coughed softly as Brandon shifted putting his arm around her small waist and calling her dear. She blushed softly and smiled at that. She was so in love it was in her every move when she was around him. Kelsie leaned against him as they made their way into a dustier more moldy but highly less smoky area and then she could sense the magic. It made the haris on her arms stand on end and she smiled softly sensing the portal. They stepped through, Kelsie had never been though a portal before and the weirdest thing happened.. she could see sparks. Not vision but like sparks of light, for a moment she gasped until they were on the other side of the portal and the sparks were gone. Interesting side effect.
Brandong needed a moment and Kelsie rubbed his back gently helping him get through whatever it was he was trying to work past. Soon he was ready to go, his arm came back around her waist and a kiss to the top of her head. She blushed and smiled again kissing his jaw softly before they went ahead and opened a door. Inside it smelled like coffee for some reason and well used furniture. The trash should have been taken out yesterday but to normal senses it wouldn't actually smell til tomorrow. Kelsie didn't let onto any of this as Brandon left her side to hug and greet his friend Relic. Kelsie stood there and Harley sat down waiting. Soon Brandon introduced Kelsie and she smiled at the comment.
"Thank you very much, it is a pleasure to meet one of Brandon's friends." she said with a bright smile.
Relic told them to have a seat and asked if they wanted anything to drink. Kelsie nodded and asked for a rootbeer since she hadn't had one since going up to the magic school. She asked Harley to get her to the couch and the dog stood leading her to the couch gently. Kelsie felt for the arm of the couch and smoothed her skirt down as she took a seat letting Harley lay beside her but on the floor. Once Brandon sat down Kelsie leaned right up against him with her head on his shoulder and her hand holding his. It was obvious that she loved him. As soon as the drinks were set on the table she heard Relic take a seat across from them. Kelsie leaned forward and felt the table finding her drink she leaned back opening it after feeling out the cap. If Relic hadn't noticed her lack of site, then he would be blind himself.
"Well, I would say that a lot has been going on. For instance Brandon and I were reunited, and that is a very long story. Isn't honey?" she asked Brandon as she turned to face him but let her head fall back to his shoulder as she sipped her drink and let him and his friend get reaquainted.

"Yes, yes it is" Brand said as he stroked Kelsie's blond hair. Relic wasn't the one who knew the full story about Kelsie, but he heard Brandon talk about her, during one of Brandon's bad trips. He would have recognized the name. He looked over at Brandon and, having realized that Kelsie was blind, mouthed the question 'THE Kelsie?', and Brandon nodded. It was the Kelsie alright, the one he had always loved and missed, and also the one who had loved him back. She was the first, and in truth the only, love of his life. He put his arm around her and gave her jsut a little squeeze. The coffee that Brandon had asked for was delivered by one of the young clerks, one who, jugding by his aura, was one of the people with magical talent that had been found and recruited by Relic and the others, later to be sent to the Academy for training.
"All in all, Kelsie and I were" Brandon paused, trying to think of a word that could describe it "Childhood sweethearts, and we found each other again at the Academy. Small world after all, eh?" He looked down into Kelsie's deep blue eyes, her head resting on his shoulder feeling so nice, so calming, it felt like it belonged there, like she did. "Isn't that about right love?" He asked her, squeezing her again, showing her the care that she couldn't see in his smile or his eyes. He would find a way, he always did. He would find a way to let her see again.

Kelsie shifted putting her drink down on the coffee table again. It was comfortable here with Brandon. His arm came up and around her stroking her hair and squeezing her close. She closed her eyes and smiled happily as now that his hand was gone from hers she began to rub his thigh with her thumb, just a soft motion back and forth. He told Relic they were childhood sweethearts and that made Kelsie smile with even more delight. She really did love Brandon, it was even in her unseeing eyes the way she was able to look over at him and be happy, so very happy that she had met him. She nodded when Brandon asked her if that was right.
"Yes, it is." she said with a gentle smile as her eyes opened. She lifted her face up and kissed Brandon's cheek gently before blushing because she had forgotten Relic was there for a moment.
"What of you Relic? It's really nice meeting Brandon's friends. Tell me about yourself. I'm eager to know you." she said with a soft but bright smile. She stayed in Brandon's arms and had absolutely no intentions on moving. She was right where she belonged. She could smell the strong coffee in the room and she sniffed it gently as the cup was sat down. It was clean, there was a small bit of cream added to it but there wasn't anything bad in it, as far as she could tell.

Awwww,[/color] Relic thought, looking at Tech and his girlfriend. They're such a cute couple, the guys are gonna love her. Relic was smiling, he had never seen Tech so calm and relaxed before, never so happy. They suited each other, it was almost like watching yin and yang reunite. The only thing Relic had been able to gather was, if this was indeed the Kelsie, that he had missed her so much, perhaps enough to make an attempt at his own life. Jonathan was only one who knew, and he had sad that it wasn't what had happened, and he had said no more.
"Uh, me?" This wasnot a question Relic got too often, and one he had answered even less. His past was quite normal, up until a certain point. "Ok, I was born here in NY to a single mother, ran away as soon as I could and joined a gang. I learnedhow to defend myself and how to make a living there, and then I broke from the gang and started my own. Nothing big really, a group of urchins who made our living by picking pockets. One day one of my boys picked the wrong pocket, the pocket of a guy who knew how to find us. I fought to protect my boy and I took a beating, but the guy stopped there, he showed respect. I gave him his wallet back and we parted in peace. A few months later Jonathan, that's the name of the guy, says he needs my help in another part of town, so I go there. I let the kids choose another leader, but two of them followed me.
It turns out that another one of this guy's friends is being hunted by some sort of church fanatics who wants him dead." Relic chuckled a little here, remebering how it had all taken place. "They didn't stand a chance, and it didn't take long before we'd sent them packing. After that we kinda stuck together. We picked up Tech here" Relic paused to indicate Brandon, feeling stupid when he remembered that she was blind. "And after that we all just kinda... stuck together. We do work for the tracers, try to track down people with magical abilities and ship them off to the Academy before... something unfortunate happens. That's pretty much it"
The girl was blind, a thing that could put even the nicest people off, for the simple reason that it was different from the norm. relic. however, had never really seen any importance in 'the norm' as he had never really associated with it. He had lived alongside vampires, cyborgs and sorcerors for years, and it would take more than a little blindness to put him off.
"My name is really Brandon" Brandon told Relic, feeling a weight lift from his chest as he did so, lifting his hand and running it through Kelsie's hair. "Kelsie reminded me of that." Relic was a good guy, a loyal and helpful friend as well as a skilled leader. He was in charge of managing all the youngsters they recruited and make sure that they didn't reveal their magical gifts to the mundane population and he did so very well. "Ok then" Relic hadn't expected this, but he could tell it was true. No magic or super-natural sense, he just knew. "My name is Lawrence, it's good to meet you Brannon. Relic, or Lawrence, lifted his own cup of coffee and toasted Brandon. This was already a reuniting most memorable

Kelsie sat there leaning against Brandon her eyes closed gently and as relaxed as she was in his arms you might think she was asleep. However, Kelsie being blind was one that didnt see the need to keep your eyes open just because you were listening, many thought that was rude, but she couldn't see regardless of how open they were so there was really no point in worrying about it at all. She did however, listen as Relic spoke about his life and meeting the others that she assumed were now his and Brandon's friends. Kelsie moved slightly shifting her small body towards Brandon a little more and laying her head a bit more firmly on his shoulder. Her fingers danced gently on his thigh stroking it softly as she stayed politely quiet as Relic told his tale. She liked Relic, his voice was honest and proud, she could sense the leader in him the way he spoke it almost commanded you to listen even if you didn't really want to.
Once it was done Brandon introduced himself by his real name and Kelsie had to stifle a moan as his hand went through her hair, she almost wished he would.. just.. touch her nose again like he had been doing. For some reason she was addicted to that touch now. She couldn't go long without it but she wouldn't ask for it because it made it mean less somehow. But a soft blush crossed her features and when Relic introduced himself as Lawrence she smiled softly.
"Well.. I'm Kelsie." she chuckled. "But you already knew that. Just figured I should join in on the introductions." she smiled softly.
"Excuse me while I go find the ladies room." she said softly. She got up with a kiss to Brandon's soft cheek and a whisper of her love for him that one he would hear in his ear. She stood and with a snap of her fingers Harley was at her side. "Lets go find the bathroom." she said softly to the dog.
Harley was off, all business like in manner. This was what he was trained to do and he was good at it. Harley and Kelsie left the room and entered the portal room once more. Across the small back room was apparently the employee bathroom and Harley gave her the sign she felt for the doorknob. Upon opening it she stepped inside the darkness having little use for electricity and the door closed behind her. While Kelsie was in the bathroom for some ten to fifteen minutes she wondered what they would talk about but they needed some privacy she could imagine and she didn't want to be in the way. So she let her bathroom visit take a little longer than it might normally have had.
Upon returning seventeen minutes later Harley led her to the couch and she smiled pulling her skirt to her legs as she sat down next to Brandon once more and cuddled right back up into his arms. Once settled her hand went back to stroking his thigh and her head back to his shoulder.
"Where are the others? Jonathan and Ace, correct?" she inquired trying to remember all of what Brandon had told her.

Brandon closed his eyes as he felt the gentle, caring kiss on his cheek and heard her whisper in his ear. He loved this, every little touch of attention she gave him. The unspoken care with which she showed him her love, it was in everything she did, her touches, her smiles and even her eyes, though unseeing still magnificently beautiful. She said she would go to the rest room, and before Relic could appoint any of the non-working clerks to show her the way, she had told Harley to that very same thing.
"Dude" Relic said, smiling with approval. "I gotta hand it to you, you know how to choose your women" Relic was gay and was not attracted to the female body the way most guys were, but he was an excellent judge of character, a thing that almost everybody had learned not to question. "How long have you been together now then?" "Not long really, unless you count the years back then. We never were too happy being apart" Brandon smiled and had that dreaming look in his eyes, a look that Relic had never seen him exhibit before, not like this. This girl was good for him, he had no doubt about it, and it seemed he was good for her too. They were so sweet together, so very sweet.
"Anything happened while I was gone?" Brandon asked, taking a sip of his coffee. "A bit" Was Relic's immediate answer. "But mostly stuff's the same. Johnny boy still drinks, Ace still gambles, Corrosive still hacks shit and Demo still blows stuff up. He's very happy about the glasses you gave him, by the way" Demo, or Justin Lundegaard, was a loyal and talented young man, but his disability had given him a lot of trouble in the past. He wasn't blind, but a damage in his optic nerves meant that his pupils were always wide, even when the light was bright, blinding him in sunlight. Brandon had fixed hi mup with a pair of sunglasses that changed the density of the lenses according to the amount of light present, nullifying his handicap.
"I don't hope the tracers have been on your backs because of us, I remember they weren't too happy about letting you in" "Nah, I convinced them that I didn't fly off the handle just because some of my friends do, they were very understanding. Jonathan still can't go there?" Relic chuckled"No not really, they didn't like what he did to that student of theirs. How long did he spend in the infirmary again?" "Almost two weeks, you know how John's blades have that anti-healing effect" "Yeah, the boy was lucky that he didn't get them too bad" "True, would've sucked if he'd died. Imagine that, death penalty for slapping your girlfriend in public. John'd be happy" It was almost like the old days, making jokes about things that weren't really funny and laughing at what each of them had done, good or otherwise. YOu would'nt think that they had been apart.
Kelsie returned and snuggled up next to Brandon again, Brandon hugging her and holding her with all his loving care. THe conversation stopped there, they both knew that this was more important. Brandon let out a happy sigh, holding Kelsie there and feeling her so close to him. He had never been this clsoe to anyone, never on the same level with anyone else and it didn't bother him one bit. He felt her hand back on his thigh and smiled, knowing that he meant just as much to her as she meant to him. She asked a question that he didn't know the answer to, so he just stayed quiet and nuzzled into her.
"Yeah, those're the guys. Johnny boy's out drinking but he should be back soon, he always pops in for a chat before he goes on patrol. Ace is probably leeching some guys in poker, so I dunno when he'll be back here, he always helps out with the accounting buisness. Not that there's a lot to do" Relic took a sip of his own cup of coffee, black with just a little bit of sugar. Even thouhg Jonathan had been out frinking he was probably not too drunk, he rarely was, to his own displeasure. He had amnesia, and no one had any idea who was or who he had been, but apparently he had been an alcoholic, since he always tried to drink away his problems, attempts that always proved unsuccessful as he was practically immune to alcohol.
"Tell me about you then, a tale for a tale" Relic proposed, leaning forward expectantly. "I wana know more about the woman who melted that heart of steel"

Kelsie nodded as Relic began to tell her that Jonathan would probably stop by later, she was eager to meet all of Brandon's friends. They would probably never hear her call him Tech in all her life, that to her was not his name. His name was Brandon Thomas and she loved him so very much. Ace apparently liked playing poker and she smiled brighter.
"I might have to talk with this Ace fellow. Being blind has it's benefits. Like telling when someone is bluffing or not. If he ever needed a partner.. I could be of service." she said softly with a grin.
Brandon was holding her tightly to him again and she smiled softly nuzzling into his shoulder and letting her eyes slide closed again. Her eyes, like Brandon said, were indeed beautiful. Faceted gems the color of the sky on a clear and cloudless day. They were intense and the only flaw with them was the fact that she could not see but that was life, she was used to living in the darkness and she needed nothing but Brandon in her life to give it enough light. Relic directed a question at her followed by a compliment that made her blush softly. She smiled gently and kissed Brandon's cheek again softly.
"Heart of steel hmm?" she asked softly with a smile. For her he had melted so fast, she had barely noticed the steel the way that after hearing his name from her lips he had just seemed to wake from a transe.
"Let's see. I was born in Oregon and lived there most of my life attending a school for the blind since I needed to learn how to function on my own and not be dependant of others. I got Harley then too, when they deemed that I had learned enough that a dog would not hinder my abilities. Harley of course is more than just a golden retriever, he is my seeing eye dog and was my only real friend before I found Brandon. I was young when I met Brandon, and I was a rather lonely child. Kids would't play with me because I was blind and you kind of have to find special games to play with someone like me because otherwise I cannot see the joy in such an event." she explained.
"It was that summer, I can't remember how old we were but we became fast friends. And though he constantly tried to trick me, I always figured it out and turned it back on him. Like he would put things in my drinks to see if I would notice." Kelsie chuckled softly and smiled gently. "That summer was the best of my life I spent most of it at Brandon's uncle's house playing and doing all kinds of things from swimming and fishing to playing hide and seek. Which we both were horrible at. That last day of summer we held hands by the lake and it was like our first time in telling each other how we felt. But soon.. Brandon's parents made him leave me, through much crying and screaming they forced us apart. Apparently they didn't see the benefits of us being too close and sent Brandon off to a school that he would be able to excell more at and this left us both lonely."
"Later, I was sent away. My mother met a new man in her life who had two sighted and perfect children of his own. Needless to say he didn't want a blind child with no father to tag along. So they rented an apartment here in New York and I was sent here to attend the public high school. You know the one on 5th avenue? That one. Anyway, there I lived alone in the apartment but with Harley and my parents now married provided for me from afar. I didn't like New York but there was not much I could do about it over all. I was heart broken and lost, lonely and the only person that kept me sane no one would give me information on. No matter how hard I tried no one would tell me where Brandon was or how to get in contact with him."
"So after living in New York for some time, I was walking around going shopping and a car ran a red light. I wasn't prepared since the walk signal said it was green and Harley and I began to walk across. The car came and Harley pushed me out of the way as he was supposed to do. But in the mean time he was hit by the car." Tears fell down Kelsie's small face as she leaned against Brandon gently recalling all her story. "My only friend lay dying in the street he was all I had left. I crawled over to him and took him into my arms. It was then that my magic woke. I healed him in a fit of pain and torment, healed him completely. The Tracers found me coming in to clean up the magical mess and having exposed it to the public unknowingly. I was then taken to Arcane Academy. I was exploreing the school looking around and trying to get acquainted when Harley suddenly took off. And if you know anything about seeing eye dogs they arent supposed to do that."
"I appologized and that was when I heard Brandon's voice it was like a voice from the past so perfect and so soothing. I called out his real name and he froze I could hear his steps stop short and then he came to me and hugged me. We've been inseperable ever since. Every moment we can is spent together and .. I don't like to leave his side it was too hard all those years." she said as she reached up to wipe the last of the tears away and nuzzle a bit more deeply into Brandon. That not being enough she moved and hugged Brandon tightly nuzzling her face into his neck and closing her eyes.

Relic sat silent, resting his head in his palm as Kelsie told her story, she was quite the storyteller. He smiled along with Brnadon when she spoke of the time when they met but frowned when Brandon's parents took the two of them apart. That was why he had avoided every question about his family, he hated them for taking away someone so important to him. Relic didn't know much about Brandon, but he was definitly not the kid fro mthe streets he tried to appear as. There was something about the way he walked, talked and generally behaved that almsot screamed that he was upperclass brat, at least to Relic. That assumption fit very well with what Kelsie said. Those spoiled, upperclass fuckheads always thouhgt they did the right thing, simply because they came from a familiy with money. Idiots, Relic thought. He knew better.
She'd been here in New York? But Relic hadn't seen her before, she was definitly not one of the oens they had recruited. Relic didn't always remember names, but he never forgot a face, and he would definitly have remembered her. That highschool?! Why didn't her parents, or whatever they were, just send her a gun with a step-by-step instruction for shooting herself in the head, that would at least have been humane! relic would have to get a hold of his contacts at the school and tell them just how much he thouhg of their so-called 'surveilence'. He had heard absolutely nothing about her until now. Then again, he didn't want to know what he would have felt like if he had known about her all along and not told Brandon, as Brandon had never really associated with the 'recruits'. That would have hurt a lot.
When tears began to roll down Keslie's beautiful pale cheeks, Brandon leaned and kissed them away, reacinhg his hand to her nose and running his thumb across it. He never felt good when she cried, he never had. It made him feel guilty, somehow. "There there" He whispered in between the loving kisses. "It's alright now" Relic listened as she continued to tell the story. He wasn't surprised when she said she was a healer, he had narrowed it down to either that or some sort of celestial mage, and the later didn't seem to be the case. Her aura was a beautiful, white and blue softly floating around and in between each other, creating constantly changing patterns that seemed so soft. It was like watching the sea, only so much more peaceful, so much more calm.
She finshed her story and Relic was more than just convinced that the guys would approve of her, he was certain. Not that anyone but the two of them had anytihng to say about their relationship. Relic was about to compliment Kelsie on her gift of speech when he heard the faint sound of a key sliding into a lock, then unlocking the door. "HEY JOHN!" He called out, knowing it was him. "GET YOUR PALE ASS IN HERE, WE'VE GOT SPECIAL GUESTS!" It didn't take long before Jonathan appeared in the little room, soaked in rain.
He was a tall, intimidating man, standing just above six feet tall and with a frame more muscular than most. His skin was white, like snow or milk, and this was magnified byt the fact that he always wore jet-black clothes. It was always the same, an open trench-coat with a tight T-shirt underneath and gloves, leaving only his face and neck free to be seen. His were a deep and dark shade of purple, and his short black hair was put back flat against his head. "I'll be damned" He said, grinning. His eyes rested on Brandon for a few seconds before moving to Kelsie, then back to Brandon. "Looks like you finally found yourself a gi..."
His eyes flicked back to Kelsie and his jaw dropped. "Well I'll be fucked" He muttered, in a voice that sounded impressed and and surprised at the same time. "It is a small world after all. I take it you're Kelsie? Brandon has told me a lot about you. Welcome aboard!" His day had just taken a 180, going from terrible to amazing. not that it would keep him fro mthe booze, but at least he would be drinking it in celebration rather than sulking

Kelsie's head shot up hearing someone coming up to the door. She heard it before anyone else did. It was just after her story had finished and she smiled as Relic finally heard it. She was good at that, if they had lived on the streets and Kelsie had been part of the gang she probably would have been useful to have around with her advanced senses and everything. She smiled softly as Relic yelled to the back, it seemed that Jonathan had finally arrived. The moment he walked in she could hear the rain dripping off of him and she could smell it as well. The problem with rain in New York was that it had a kind of stench to it that she couldn't quite place. She could also smell the alcohol in his breath the moment he opened his mouth.
He began to speak and Kelsie blushed the moment he froze and seemed to realize just who he was. She knew from Brandon that this was the boy that had known at least a bit about her knowing how important she was. He assumed it was here and she smiled softly. There was a blanket behind her on the couch she assumed for employee naps during break time or something. She took it and kissed Brandon on the cheek getting up she crossed to Jonathan.
"Yes, I'm Kelsie and you're going to catch a cold if you don't let me take care of you." she said softly. One thing that Kelsie was most like was like a kind and loving mom. Her years in the darkness and being alone had made her realize just how much she loved people.
Kelsie reached forward and found the trenchcoat that was soaking wet and her brow furrowed. She slid it off taking no nonesense in this case and tossed it aside close to the heater that she had felt in the room so that it would dry. She then wrapped the blanket around his shoulders pulling it up front. She was good at doing things without seeing her senses were more defined than most almost an ungodly amount so. She smiled softly and whistled for Harley who came to her. She knelt down and grabbed a hankerchief from the vest and then wiped off Jonathans' face from the water.
"There, much better. You don't want to get sick. It's cold out and raining, that could easily lead to pneumonia and we wouldn't want you ill. You should take care of yourself, so people that care for you don't have to worry." she said softly.
It was then that she went back to the couch her job was done probably leaving a truly shocked Jonathan and most likely Relic. Brandon knew how she was, she worried about everyone and was always taking care of other people before herself. Especially Brandon, she made sure that he didn't over work himself, and that he got enough rest. Got enough to eat and enough cuddles and things to keep him happy and to keep him healthy. She loved him deeply and she knew that his friends were like his family and that meant they were Kelsie's family too even if she had to be a mom, that was fine with her she didn't care, she just wanted to be there for them.

That was... unexpected, to say the least. Jonathan hadn't expected that, but it was nice of her. Relic raised his eyebrows in expectation, but nothing happened. Jonathan let her do what she wanted to, he was cold, but the cold was one of the few things that kept his anger at bay, bot that he was angry now. "Thanks" He muttered, unsuccessfully trying to hide his surprise. "I dunno what I expected for today, but seing you here definitly wasn't it" He smiled, noticing the bond between her and Brandon. Jonathan couldn't see auras the same way that Relic could, but he had a sixth sense when it come to that sort of thing. He had guessed that this was Kelsie based on the bond he could sense between her and Brandon, much more so than the looks. They had a tendency to change with time.
He wasn't worried that she would find or cut herself on his swords, he didn't have them manifested now. He hadn't had any need of them for the last few hours. "I met Ace on the way here, he shouldn't be long" Jonathan added as he took a seat next to Relic. "So, what brings you guys here?" Relic decided to ask, trying to revive conversation "Just visiting, I thought you guys should to meet Kelsie and the other way around, really" They alsmot an entire family now, once all had been introduced to each other that was. They weren't many, but they were enough and they take care of each other where other had failed.
"What about Greed, Corrosive and Demo, will they drop by?" "Dunno, they might. C 'n D are busy doing their stuff, but D may be back soon, the skating grounds are gonna be empty soon. As for C, he'll most likely stay at the netcafé unitl it shuts, you know him" "Yes I do" Brandon chuckled. "Corrosive, that's his online alias, is into computers big time and he's one of Relic's boys. He's a good kid, but he talks too much. Demo, as in demolition, likes to skateboard and he's good at it too" Brandon explained to Kelsie, who he had only mentioned these guys too before.
"As for Greed" Jonathan began, after gratefully accepting a cup of scolding coffee from one of Relic's employees. "He's still waiting up for news about Charlie" "He's still outstationed then?" "Yeah, you know how it went. Greed wasn't happy to see him go" "I can relate to that" Brandon said in an almost sad tone, running his hand through Kelsie's hair again, before moving it to her face and running his thumb across her nose. It always hurt to let a love done go.
"Greed's a vamp and our figthing instructor. Charlie was a kid he raised and trained from he was a baby, and now he's in the army" Relic explained to Kelsie. "He joined on his own accord, but Greed wasn't happy about it. Not that any of us were" They were all worried for Charlie, and they all missed him. Still, the kid was near the peak of human physical limitations, about to cross what Greed reffered to as 'the first step of ascendence from humanity'. If there was one guy who would make it through skill, it would be him.
"By the way" relic said, trying to lighten up the atmosphere "Tech told us his real name's Brandon. Not that you didn't know" It was no secret that Brandon had divulged his secrets to Jonathan, and no one hadtried to push information out of any of them after that. They knew they would find out when it was time, and that time had turned out to be now. "But you don't know is that my real name's Lawrence. In your face!" Relic joked, smiling widely. He missed Charlie, but this was no time for grumbling. Today he had witnessed the aftermath of a miracle, Kelsie and Brandon back together and that was deserved celebration.
Brandon smiled as his friends played silly, it felt good to be back, and mostly it felt good to be back together with Kelsie. He gave her another little squeeze and stroked her hair. He had missed her and suffered in their time apart, but that was a finished chapter now. Ahead of them lay the future, and all the vast opportunities that came with it.

Kelsie smiled. "Anytime." she told Jonathan before she sat back down with Brandon. She was happy they were back together because nothing could make her more happy than the feel of Brandon's arms around her and the love that they shared. Kelsie couldn't see, nor could she see auras she didn't know if she had one or not but she wasn't all that worried about it to be honest, she just loved her sweet Brandon.
The boys talked and Kelsie listened. Either Relic or Brandon would interject and explain something and she would nod in understanding. She finished her root beer and gave the can to Harley who took it in his mouth and deposited it in the trash. She smiled as she heard the clink of the can hit the others in the garbage before Harley returned to lay down again at her feet. They talked of someone named Charlie and she blushed and smiled softly when Brandon's thumb ran across her nose. She wanted to be closer to him but she didn't want to embarass him in front of his friends. So despite how much she wanted to sit in his lap and remain wrapped tightly in them, she stayed where she was.
"I have two questions." Kelsie said softly as her fingers played gently on Brandon's thigh. "One, where are we staying the night? I know we packed a suitcase so.. I'm assuming we're staying a few days. And two, why is it you all go by nicknames instead of your real ones? I feel rather left out I need some kind of nickname." she chuckled at the last part.
She leaned against Brandon but it was true everyone seemed to have some kind of special nick name. But even still if word got out that some guy named Brandon did something somewhere there were soooo many Brandon's in the world it wouldn't be possible to find just the one. But she wasn't pressuring them to accept her or anything merely just thinking about things out loud. She loved the guys she had met allready and she was enjoying getting to know about them and letting them know about her.
"Oh.. and Ace.. he is the one with no memory right?" she inquired. "I might.. be able to fix that if he would like. I am a healer of body and mind so .. I think I could do it, in the least it wouldn't work and I would try again whenn I am stronger but I'm pretty sure I could do it if he wanted me too.
Kelsie was eager to become part of the group. What she wanted was to fit in somewhere and maybe here with this magical misfits she would finally find a place that she could be happy in and a place to belong. She closed her unseeing blue eyes and leaned against Brandon gently.
"Your coffee is cold." she whispered softly not feeling the heat or was the scent as strong. Coffee was funny like that, when it wasn't piping hot it lost most of it's scent. She was getting a little tired over the excitment of the day but she wasn't about to let it get to her she loved Brandon too much and she wanted to know everything that she could.
