New card player

[Wolf, the Joker]

(Wolf in his red cape that covered him was at a unknown ruins. He was new and was still away from the nearest town. He sighed as he was a bit tired and sat down on the ground with his back resting on a rock. Not the best spot, but it was better than nothing. Wolf had his left leg out and his right knee up and sighed once more. His front hair covered up the left side of his face and the upper part of his cape covered most of the lower part of the face. His cape covered him from the cold, seeing that it was about night fall. On his rightside there was movement and Wolf pulled out a deck of playing cards. In his hands, he looked at each one. But he was fouced on one card, the Joker card. His eyes fouced on it till he got his head togather and put the cards back in the card holder. The sword on his left side was sticking out and it made it hard for him to sit. So Wolf undone the sheath and let the sword rest on the ground.

It was dark enough to see the stars and Wolf looked up at the sky, looking at each star in the sky. He raised his left hand that had the golden claw. His left hand was wide open and slowly closed his hand as if he was grabing a star and just let his hand drop to the ground.)

Damn.... it's getting a bit cold. I hope I am near a town soon.

If this wasn't my own idea to train in this weather I'd smack someone." Jyo thought as he walked through the harsh weather wearing something other than his main clothing on. Instead he had a heavy Anorak and snowpants with matching boots. A scarf covered his mouth and nose as he made hiw way through the cold he was not used to.

Not long had passed until he saw another figure out in the weather. Jyo soon caught up and then spoke.
"Hey there. Looks like we are both a bit away from it all aren't we?" He asked as he approched the other person.

(Wolf started to hear someone coming up near where he was. So Wolf slowly moved his right hand and rested on his deck of cards, ready to be drawn if the person was looking for a fight. He slowly slowly pulled on one card, but he soon heard that the person said and looked up to see it was a male. The guy didn't seem like a person that was looking for a fight so Wolf placed the card back and slowly moved his hand off the card holder. With a deep sigh Wolf opened his mouth a spoke.)

I guess, but I have no word on the matter of "away from it all".

"Fair enough." Jyo said as he reached the other persona nd held out his left hand
"Name's Jyo. Out ofr some training really." He said in a pleasent tone. Even with the cold weather he was not used to he could find it invigorating in a way and be pleasent enough to make a good impresson.

Hm.

(Wolf saw Jyo's left hand for a hand shake. And it would have been rude so, Wolf moved his left hand for a shake. But there was the golden claw that covered half his arm and soon shaked Jyo's hand.)

Wolf, nice to meet you Jyo.

(Wolf shortly lets go of Jyo's arm and lowered his arm down on it his right knee.)

Jyo raised an eyebrow at the claw but no other reaction was seen. He had seen these sort of things before really.
"So Wolf. If you don't mind my asking. What brings you out here in the cold?" He asked knowing it was still rare for people to be out here in this place.

What brings me here?

(Wolf started to laugh a bit on the idea of bring in the middle of nowhere. The fact was that he was dead break. Well not dead, he still had money, but not enough for a inn, not even a cheap inn. Wolf sighed as he looked up at the sky once more. He didn't mind sleeping outside, he loved looking at the stars. In Wolf's mind, it would have been rude not to tell Jyo.)

I am broke. Only have enough for food.

[jyo]

"I see where thats a problem." Jyo said and he smiled.
"Well you could always come with me to the Academy. As a guest you'de have a place to stay at least for a bit and free meals. Are you maically attuned in any way. You could be there for free. At least until you got back on your feet finacally." He said thinking of the only solution he could really bring to bear right now.
"There's a portal about to open not even a mile from here soon. Wanna come along?" He asked.

(Wolf laughed a bit about the school, he was to do some odd jobs there for some money and food. As for the housing, that was not part of the deal. But it didn't matter, as long as he had money and stomach full of food, he was happy.)

School? Funny you should bring that up, I am going to do some odd jobs there. But it's not the first time I had to do odd jobs.

(With that said, Wolf slowly got up from the ground, he had his sword in his left hand as he got up and leaned on the lean with his back.)

Jyo noticed the sword Wolf grabbed the weapon with.
Perhapes he's left handed as well. Jyo thought as he pndered Wolf's words. it seemed a sure thing that Wolf would be there.

"So is that a yes. Because I really do plan on hanging around since my training here is done for now." Jyo said.

So you do go to the school. Hmm I always wondered about something.

(Wolf pushed himself of the wall and looked right at the student of the school, Jyo. It was not his thing to start any kind of fighting, but seeing that Wolf's mind to wonder, it got to best of him. Wolf moved his caped out of the way and his whole cape was behind his back, that meant Wolf's front was shown and he drew out his sword.)

How about we do a duel, I was wondering how the studnets of that school fought like.

Jyo raised an eyebrow. The portal would not be active for another hour or so. it wasn't like he had any reason not to. Jyo drew his weapon from it's sheath and nodded as he assumed and very reinforced fencing stance.
"I cannot see why there should be a problem in that. Al long as it is simply a test of skill." He said.

He memorized what spells he had as well to keep them at the ready in case his weapon skills alone were not enough.

(Wolf smiled as Jyo drew his weapon. With that seen, Wolf sheathed his sword and raised his left arm up and moved his fingers, telling Jyo to make the first more.)

Come on, you first.

(With that said, he lowered his arm. He soon drew fived cards out of his deck holder and waited.)

Jyo noticed Wolf made another movment after letting his arm down.
He's got something planned. Jyo thught. he knew a full on melle attack would not be wise right now. he decided to keep ranged for a moment and his pointed a finger on his right hand at Wolf as a jet of flame shot from it. Jyo slowed the jet of flame down by a bit giving Wolf a chance to move. he simply needed Wolf to do something before they began.

(In Wolf's right hand, he held a 4 of Diamond, 6 of Spade, 7 of Heart, 9 of Diamond, and 9 of Spade. With that set, his left hand moved and grabed the two 9s and threw them infront of him.)

9 of Diamond and Spade, Double sheild.

(The two cards was flooting and he put the rest in the bottem of his deck. The two 9 cards was two sheild, becouse of Jyo's attack, the first sheild was gone and the 9 of Diamond flew right in to the bottem of the deck while the 9 of Spade was still up. He knew that the sheild will break so Wolf quickly drew another five cards with his right hand.)
