I didn't get a damn thing from that entire post other than "This is a board". Wow, good to know, here I thought I was roleplaying on a giant chicken.
Aaaanyway, while we've all brought up some wonderful points, especially the guy who made sure we all remembered that this is a board, it seems like it's kinda one of those things you just can't standardize. Too many boyfriend/girlfriend RPs, like Sword said, with about a billion posts each, really distort the timeline.
Yet at the same time, if some people choose to age their characters, and some don't... doesn't that distort the timeline too?
All I know was a big part of playing my character involved him aging... and now it seems like it'd be hard/weird to do so.
Oh well, glad to see my suggestion brought about some good discussion.
...not to mention a reminder that we're all on a board right now.
