Thanksgiving?! (closed/possibly Mature)

[Phae]

Phaedra slept peacefully in the arms of the man she loved. It wasn't going to be near long enough but she could catch a nap later she was sure. She slept on the bed gently next to her love he shot up but Phae was in such a deep sleep she didn't stir in the least as Loish hit the wall across the room or anything.

It took Junpei's kiss to bring her out of her sleep and even then it took several moments. She stirred softly and her blue eyes fluttered open. The winced in the bright light and she hid her face in Jun's neck slowly letting her eyes readjust to the light. She moaned softly as she sat up on her own and rubbed her tired eyes. Her hair hung down her back and quickly she brushed it out from their love making not twenty minutes ago.

"Jun." she said tiredly as she yawned softly and put her brush down before she got up and stretched. "Ready to go love?" she asked as she put her arms limp at her sides again. She turned and pulled Junpei out of the bed and hugged him tightly around the waist.

"Lets get going." she said with a wink.

[Junpei]

“Mmm always ready to go.”

Getting up Junpei grabbed the duffle bag and held it in his right hand, then slipped his left around Phaedra’s waist. The hug lasted a few seconds and then they turned and headed for the door. The trip there wasn’t going to be very eventful, just a quick jump to Junpei’s house. Yes they were going to the house Junpei still owned in Georgia. Oh yes he was rich, but you wouldn’t guess so.

No royal blood, no rich and famous family line, his father and mother had lived middle class, the only way Junpei became rich was threw their deaths. It was a bad way to get rich, the worst. Parents die in a horrible car accident, you gain two million dollars as the sole beneficiary living. It hurt; to know that money was there so you could live when your parents were gone… it nagged at him all this time.

Stepping out the door with Phaedra in his arm he led the way to the teleporter room. He let go of Phaedra in order to sign out, both of them, then told the Transporters where they would be going. The man in charge nodded and got the co-ordinate of the teleport and nodded.

“Here we go.”

Junpei said as he got onto the pad with Phaedra. IN a few seconds the Transporters would fire off a spell and they would be in Junpei’s basement. Until then, they got to wait.

[Phae]

Junpei got up from the bed and they hugged. She was ready to go but seriously nervous. I mean he didn't have parents and his grandfather had died so the only family she had to worry about liking her was his little brother. And he had warned her once he wouldn't just open up to the girl. She was going to have to earn it and that sucked. But she was going to try her hardest to do her best and get it done.

After the hug broke he slipped his arm around her waist and together with the duffel and the 'children' as they called the Jheregs they headed out. Delana was excited she loved traveling and she nuzzled into Phae's neck contentedly as she sat on her shoulder in HER spot. They walked through the halls and she waited while Junpei got everything ready for them.

Soon they were on the platform and she wrapped her arms around Junpei's waist her head laying on his chest and listening to his heart beat. She smiled softly. She was a bit afraid of going such a long distance by teleporter so right now she was hanging onto Junpei for dear life. She closed her eyes as the man at the teleportation station pressed the button and she winced wondering if it would hurt or if she would come apart and half would be at the academy and the other with jun.

Once she felt something solid under her feet again she slowly opened her eyes to see they were in a basement. Looking down she saw that her feet were still in tact. Oh.. well that was a major relief. Suddenly she felt woozy and her eyes went wide as her knees went weak.

"Jun.. Jun.. I need.. need to sit down." her hands went over her stomach more over her abdomen as she tried to calm herself down. "I .. need to sit.." she whispered as she leaned against him.

[Junpei]

They teleporte and he felt Phaedra cling to him as they came out in the pitch black room. Damnit. He was actually early! Oh wait time zones.. add the.. shit they were an hour early. Even worse Phaedra was collapsing in his arms. Whispering out the command for Nether Fire a soft purple light filled the room and Junpei let it hit a torch on the far wall. It only lit up enough to show a chair and table, but nothing that was on the table. Getting Phaedra to the chair he sat her down and then turned the chair to face away from the table.

"Hun are you alright? Well, are you OK?"

He said as he knelt in front of her and took her hands in his, rubbing the backs lightly with his thumbs. What was wrong with her, he had no idea. What was wrong with that torch? It should have some burn material in it.

Loish can you go get Negi, please?

Sure thing Boss, want me to take Del?

Yeah she can help you look, he should be two houses down on the left.

OK Boss.

The two Jhereg's went off, Loish leading into the darkness, somewhere, Junpei knew where, there was the sound of a dog door opening and closing twice.

"Deep breaths Hun."

[Phae]

Phae felt Jun take her and lead her to a chair. She wasn't really concentrating on anything but trying to get her stomach to calm down. As soon as he sat her down her hands went over her stomach rubbing it softly as she began to breathe in and out. She closed her eyes. Gods.. she knew why this was happening but she sure as hell wasn't going to tell him right now.

He took her hands away from her stomach and he rubbed the backs of them in small circles. She smiled softly he was always doing his best to calm her down. Through her nightmares and through her other trials he was there for her trying to keep her straight and happy.

"I will be." she said softly as she took her hands from him and rubbed them over her stomach again. "Just got a wee bit nausiated from the teleport or something I guess." she lied.

The Jhereg's took off to do whatever. She assumed to bring or retrieve Negi. She leaned back in the seat and she put a Nether fire in her hand so that they could see by it for now as she left the one hand to try to calm down her stomach.

"It's so dark in here." she whispered softly as her eyes began to droop slowly. "Jun.. can we go.. up.. up stairs?" she whispered as she leaned forward against him and nuzzled into his neck putting her arms around his neck. She let the Netherfire go out as she was starting to fall asleep. Gods she didn't feel good.

She knew she was going to have to tell him. But she had already planned out how. So she didn't want to tell him just yet. Why? Well because she didn't want him to keel over so she was waiting for the perfect moment. Yea.. what perfect moment?

[Junpei]

Something was wrong, very wrong. Phaedra was acting weird, like she was sick. Did they need to go back? They should, but he'd have to wait for Negi to get there and explain. Great he had gotten all of this ready and now they weren't going to be staying. She was more important though, she was the MOST important, he wouldn't let her stay here if she was sick.

The door to the basement flew open and a short 5 foot figure was outlined by the light from behind. He ran down the stairs and a small brown haired boy popped into view, this was Negi.

"Whoa! Bro she looks bad! We need to get her upstairs!"

"NO SHIT SHERLOCK!"

Junpei got Phae up bridal style and Negi led the way upstairs, taking it two steps at a time. Junpei carried Phaedra and calmed the Nether Fire in the room and it was all dark again.

Coming into the living room, which was painted a soft cream with wood trim and various red couches and chairs. A large glass table sat in the center of the room and various shelves displayed nothing. This was pretty much the only furnished room in the house.

Setting Phaedra down on the couch he sat down next to her and brushed hair out of her face.

"DO we need to go back love?"

"WHAT?! You just got here you can't leave!"

"NEGI! SO HELP ME GOD I WILL MAKE YOU WISH YOU WEREN'T BORN!"

"... sorry..."

[Phae]

The door to the basement slammed open and Phae's eyes opened to see some little version of Junpei running towards them. She smiled. Her eyes closed again and she nuzzled into Junpei's neck even more. Negi made a very obvious observation and she chuckled softly under her breath. Junpei reacted rather harshly and she wondered if it was just that it was because she was here or if they always acted like that to each other.

Junpei lifted her up and she kept her eyes closed and her arms around his shoulders. He took her up the stairs and into a room where she was sat down on a soft comfy couch. Her eyes opened gently as he brushed the hair back from her face and she smiled at him weakly. He asked her if she needed to go back home to the academy and she opened her mouth to answer when Negi interupted. A argument ensued for a moment.

"Shut it the both of you." she said as her eyes opened fully.

She looked over at Negi and smiled reaching out she took one of his hands and gave it a gentle squeeze. She gave him one of those reassuring smiles and then let his hand go.

"Negi, it's so good to finally meet you after so long. I'm Phae, and we aren't going anywhere don't you worry." she said.

She turned her attention back to Junpei and cupped his cheek gently. Worry was written on his features and she smiled. He had nearly lost her so many times in their short relationship that she knew this was probably bothering him. She smiled at him and nodded softly.

"I'm fine, I promise. Really just a bout of nausea and it's making me sleepy that's all." she said softly. She closed her eyes for a moment. Well she might as well tell him now right? Right?

"Junpei, in the small side pocket of the duffle bag. There is a yellow envelope that has your name on it. Open it and read it for me will you. Outloud for Negi too please." she said softly.

One the front of the card was a picture of a top hat upside down and a magic wand leaning against it. Rather cliche' really but she had found it cute and thought it would suit this occassion perfectly. Upon opening it read...

The back showed that it was a Magimark card. The magical version of a Hallmark card. She blushed and hid her face in a pillow waiting for his reaction. She wondered if he would get it. She was sure he would Junpei was a smart fellow this was definatly right up his alley. But what would he do what would he say now that he knew. Knew that their dreams were happening fast. As fast as she wanted but .. were they too fast for him?

[Junpei]

Junpei liked back to Phaedra as she told them to shut it, talk about dominant. Junpei and Negi were instantly quiet and Junpei knew she meant business. Negi shied away after Phaedra grabbed his hand and introduced herself, he was slinking away, slowly but surely. Junpei looked back to his wife to be and blinked a couple times as she told him she was fine and to look in the outside of the duffel bag.

Getting up Junpei went and got the card out of the bag. Opening up the envelope it was held in he looked at the front he smiled a bit, seemed she had gotten him a card for some reason. Remembering her instructions t read it out loud he did so, and his voice was good, up until the end when it was damn near falling apart.

"Daddy's make the world a magical place. Happy father's... day..."

Junpei just stared, Negi gave both of them this odd look, the concept was lost on the little boy, he just thought Phaedra was giving him the card as a gag or something. To Junpei however... to Junpei his entire world did a 180, then flipped, then decided to slam into a brick wall a few times before setting back down. He just stared at the card a moment, no more like a minute. A LONG minute passed as Junpei just held the card and stared at the words. Him... what was he.. oh god now he.

"P-P-Phaedra... I.. I... I-"

He slipped down and hit the floor hard, blackout.

Negi went wide eyes, both Jhereg's were, quite literally, mouth agape at the window sill. Junpei was a Father.

[Phae]

Phaedra closed her eyes as Junpei went and got the card. She couldn't watch his face. He opened it and began to read out loud. When he began to falter on the last words she looked up at him from behind the pillow chewing on her lower lip nervously. He stared at the card for eternity. Or at least that's what it felt like to her. She began to tear up. It was too fast she knew it was.

But suddenly he fainted and still feeling rather ill herself she was on the floor and picking up Junpei holding him in her lap gently. She stroked his hair as her tears fell upon his cheeks. She picked him up even more and held his head to her chest as she cried softly rocking back and forth.

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry.. Please forgive me. I'll I'll think of something. I"m so so sorry. Oh please Junpe don't leave me I'm so sorry." she whispered.

All she had in life right now at this moment was Junpei. To lose him would be devestating as it always was when he left. She kissed his forehead and his hair the top of his head and his lips everywhere trying to wake him so he would know.

"So sorry, oh my love, I'm so sorry." she whispered as she cried holding him tightly to her.

[Junpei]

He groaned softly as a series of kisses hit his face, Negi had run off, he was just gone.

Negi didn't know he was an uncle, he just knew Junpei, his older brother, had collapsed after reading that card. What was so special about it anyways? Huh? What was so damned important about that woman and what she had told him in that card. She was stealing Junpei from him, Junpei was all he had left and she was taking him away! In the kitchen Negi slammed his fist onto the counter, tears streaming in his eyes.

As Junpei opened his eyes and liked up at Phaedra he smiled softly, maybe it as all some bad dream. But then the tears hit his cheek and he realized it hadn't been a dream. Oh my god, oh my god, ti was all that could go threw his mid. he was a father, a father, a FATHER! He turned in Phaedra's Lap and sat up, looking into her eyes. He leaned forward and kissed her, cupping her cheek lightly and letting the kiss be sweet and loving. He broke it soon after, he wasn't' smiling, he was not really doing anything, he was tunned.

"So you're...?"

Suddenly he couldn't think again. To much info to process right now. They had just started house searching, a wedding in three weeks, there was so much to do and here they were in the middle of a vacation right now. His eyes brimmed with tears of joy, he didn't know why but they did.

"I love you, and I love you."

With the last words his right hand fell over Phaedra's stomach, resting there, his eyes still locked with hers.

[Phae]

His eyes opened and she saw a smile. She melted right then and there but then his smile failed as it seemed reality dawned on him. Her eyes welled up with more tears as it seemed that maybe the idea of being a father so soon had shocked him so badly but then he shifted. She let him go and he moved cupping her cheek. Gently he leaned in and kissed her.

She kissed him back and when she opened her eyes there was no smile and she still feared the worst. But suddenly he asked her half of the question and she nodded softly. It was't far along it was barely there at all yet she could already feel the stirrings of mana flow in her body. He then told her that he loved her and she smiled soft as his hand went over her stomach.

"Junpei. Our family. It's starting." she whispered softly as she cupped his cheek this time and leaned in kissing him gently. Loving him with all she had she kissed him. When she broke the kiss she placed her hand over his that was on her stomach and blushed softly.

If you looked close enough you would see the changes in her. The glimmer in her eyes. The way her skin glowed for some reason. She looked healthy and at the prime of her life. Not to mention that her mana was shifting to accomodate the young child growing inside her.

"You should go find Negi. He ran off after you fainted. I'm not sure why but.. I think.. he's upset I heard something in the kitchen a moment ago. Please, go tend to him. I'll rest here on the couch." she said softly as she kissed the top of his head and lay back down on the couch.

[Junpei]

He kissed her back and smiled, their family was starting, their family, Junpei was going to be a father. He was elated, beyond elated he was on top of the world right now. If anything he was the happiest, proudest, luckiest, most gifted man in the world. Phaedra was pregnant with HIS child, with THEIR child, with the future of the Taltos name. Speaking of which Junpei still needed to marry the women in front of him, he was so amazingly lucky.

"Phaedra. he needs space right now. Trust me, he's been through these before. He's a smart kid, a genius, he is still kid though. He'll work things out in an hour or so, let his mind cool and it all works out."

He moved and lay over her, being very careful not to let any part of him rest on her stomach. If he was protective before, he was going to be insane now. Anyone touched her he would know about it. Jesus if she thought he was a possessive man before, he'd be ten fold so now.

"You, have a very bad situation on your hands my dear. You thought I was a very protective and possessive man before... well now you are NEVER leaving my sight or touch."

He leaned down softly and kissed her, deeply and passionately, with the love that only a husband and Father to be could give.

[Phae]

He told her that Negi needed time. She could understand that if he was anything like Junpei then she completely understood. When Jun got mad or upset he usually needed some time to himself to sort it all out. Phae lay quietly on the sofa her eyes were drooping. The sex earlier plus the teleportation had really taken quite a bit out of the young mom and wife to be.

Junpei leaned over her and she smiled opening her eyes to look up at him. He told her that he was going to be more protective and possesive now and she wasn't sure how that was possible. Already, people thought she was crazy sticking with a man that made sure everyone knew she was his. But the truth was it made her feel wanted and loved she couldn't explain it any other way. When he held her hand or pulled her close when they were talking to people it made her feel special like he was telling them girl or guy that they were together and they were proud of it. He leaned down and gave her a truly passionate and loving kiss which she returned. They had a family now and they were going to be together forever.

"Jun honey, I'm perfectly fine. No need to strain yourself by protecting me." she said softly knowing it wasn't going to do a lick of good.

"Honey? Since you want to leave Negi alone for a bit and I'm terribly tired, will you lay with me so I can sleep. I never sleep good when I have to without you." she said softly as she reached up and cuppled his cheek. Stroking it once she shifted onto her side so that when, if , he lay next to her she would be curled up in his chest her second favorite place to be. Seeing as it was a couch and not a bed she was going to take what she got.

"I love you." she whispered as she was already drifting all she needed was her Junpei to send her off to sleep.

[Junpei]

"Mmm and you'll stay that way if I constantly watch over the two of you. and laying here sounds like a good idea sleep as long as you like love."

Junpei slid onto his side and wrapped his arms around Phaedra, smiling to himself he let her tuck into his chest and then set his chin on top of her head. He curled them together and heard her I love you.

"I love you to Phaedra."

His eyes closed as he to figured sleep was probably the best thing he could hope for right now. He was drained mentally, his mind was going numb right now because it was finally slowing down. He wondered exactly what he was going to do... he was still looking for a house and everything.

"Sleep well Hun."

Before he knew it she was asleep and he was nuzzling into her hair softly, that long red hair that always gave him comfort. He took in a deep breath an let that familiar scent fill his lungs, god how he loved her, how he loved THEM. He set his chin back on her head and concentrated, he felt her mana moving, forming a barrier of sorts around the already growing child. Good, her body would naturally protect the baby... Junpei should teach her how to teleport, so she could move in an emergency.

[Phae]

It was an hour and fifteen minutes before Phaedra woke up again. She stirred softly and nuzzled a bit further into Junpei's chest and neck. He was warm and he smelled so good. She almost forgot all about the drama from earlier. But her eyes opened and she remembered that Junpei had accepted the fact that she was pregnate and vowed to be more protective of her than ever.

She pulled back a little bit and ran her hand over her stomach feeling the mana that was her child. Already it was beginning to have it's own mana string. It's own stirrings of a powerful mage in the making. She looked up at him and smiled her sweet Junpei. She loved him so much. She leaned up and connected her lips with his gently stroking his cheek. It was a soft but passionate kiss. She smiled softly as she broke it.

"My love." she whispered softly as she ran her hand through his hair and looked at him with those loving blue eyes that she had only for him. "I think you might have had plans for us, and I for one would like to do them." she said softly.
