[Shea]

Shea finished packing her things in her bag bringing on a few things to do if they happened to have spare time and she picked up a gift for Darian she had gotten him recently but had not yet given it to him and now seemed like the perfect moment to do such.

Ooo trip with Darian.. how romantic.

This is not a romantic trip, Bel.

I don't know me and Orchid..

Don't even go there Bel. I swear.. just dont.

Shea put her pack on her shoulder and nodded to Bella who stayed in small kitten form as she locked her dorm room and moved next door knocking on Darian's door.

When the door opened she would smile at him and hand him the small black box that contained his gift. Inside was a bullet case made of white gold on a chain; the chain made out of the finest white silver of connecting links. Instead of a bullet in the casing was a perfect sapphire carved into the shap of the bullet. The 9mm bullet hung from the chain but it didn't look like a bullet she had ever seen. On the bullet casing engraved in small letters it said.

"I .. hope you like it." she said blushing deeply. She cleared her throat and looked down. "Well.. are you ready or do you need help packing?"

[Darian Dumonte]

When the door opened Darian looked up his eyes that same deep hazel that seemed to spot everything on the first glance. His hair looked recently tried and was tied back in a formal manner to allow only a few stray lockes to reach his face. On his right hand --the ring finger-- was the proud signet ring of the Dumonte family the heavy ring shimmering in the light. Engraved deeply in heavily a single amethyst gem was inlayed in the D of the crest. His clothes looked even more manificent then ever before. Heavy dark blue slacks and a dark blue jacket were worn of an expensive and fine tweed. The silver embroidery in them made to look elegant and rich. He wore a cream white silk shirt under that just seemed to cling to him perfectly.

The buttons to his jacket were made of a shimmering silver plating and he looked up opening his eyes. Covering his legs were ankle-high boots that was made of fine Corinthian leather. They were polished black and had silver buckles that held them neat that seemed to shimmer. Even in his grief he carried it with a heavy fashion. A dark blue mantle was attached to the shoulders of his jacket that seemed to fall around him heavily. At his right side was his Forest Raven and at his left was an elegant looking revolver the Lemonte Revolver. He looked up at her and gave a sad smile but, saw the gift his eyes brightening a bit.

"It's beautiful Shea..."

He said softly as his eyes were transfixed by the achingly beautiful sapphire. He took it in his hand and placed it around his neck as he felt a brief spark of magic in it. It was as if something in it was trying to call to him for a brief moment.

"No I packed thank you for the gift."

He said softly and tilted her chin up kissing her cheek for a moment. He picked up two leather duffle bags one of them having spare weapons the other having his other needs for the traveling.

"We should probably head to the front doors to meet up with Mayon if he isn't on the way here."

Orchid stepped out of the room and sat on his haunches wearing an achingly beautiful black leather collar with a large sapphire at the throat. He didn't seem to mind the finery the silver buckle keeping in place.

[Mayon]

Mayon was finally done packing. He had packed enough for the weekend and had gotten redressed. Mayon was wearing black pants and a white t-shirt. Over his t-shirt he had on a dark crimson red button up long sleeve shirt, which he only wore on certain occasions. He was wearing a pure silver chain around his neck and his hair still looked the same His shoes were his regular shoes. Mayon had packed regular clothes as well. He grabbed his bag and got ready to go.

~I am also hoping to get a lot of training done on this trip so that hopefully I can finally stop drawing transmutation circles and using these infernal papers. ~

Mayon was very serious in mind right now. He opened his door and walked out. As he was walking through the Halls he saw that some people were looking at him. They were probably wondering where he was going with a packed bag like this but Mayon didn’t mind. All he was doing was heading for the front of the Academy. Mayon kept walking until he came to the doors.

Mayon opened the doors and reached the entrance to where he saw Shea and Darian. Each was also dressed rather nicely and each had their familiars with them. Mayon stretched on his white gloves as he felt like wearing them. As he put the white glove on his right hand the circle appeared. Mayon looked at both of them. He was starting to get tired and figured he may sit on the bus.

“Hey guys. I am now ready to go and I hope you are too. I am hoping to get there soon as I will need to speak to Darian once we arrive in Paris about something important. Shea I would rather not get you involved in this as long as I can but if it becomes beyond my control then I am sorry for anything that happens.”

Mayon reached into his pocket and took out three little tiny pendants, which you clip onto ones shirt. He handed one to each of them. These pendants were very special which Mayon hung onto all the time. They were little communicators. These communicators had very strong signals, which could be used even if someone was on the other side of the world. This was so no matter what happened they could always be in touch.

“Clip these on your shirt and wear it at all times. This way we can stay in touch. Just press on it once and talk into it. Then press on it again so we can’t hear you. So are we ready to go? I believe you said we were going to be teleported to a train if I am correct.”

[Shea]

Shea looked down at her own clothing suddenly worried about whether it looked nice or not while she felt that maybe Darian didn't like the gift she had gotten him. She had combined both their magics into one and even had it enscribed. So now she was checking her clothing.

She was dressed differently now. She had packed a funeral dress for later but mostly she packed her casual clothes but after seeing Darian she was glad she had taken the time to change. She now wore a skirt that fell down to four inches above her knees the flowing fabrics made it easy to move around in and swayed with her hips perfectly allowing her to breath and not be constrained by a tight skirt. On her torso sat a deep violet tank top that hugged her frame accenting certain assets and over that was a black button down collared shirt buttoned across her flat stomach only. On her feet where her high heeled shoes and her hair was down and parted to the right. She hoped she looked okay but felt a tad inferior to Darian's outfit.

"Right, lets go." she said softly and Bella took off after Shea as she made her way through the halls knowing Darian was beside her without looking.

Bella too was sporting her new magical pink collar that would expand when she transformed her name in rhinestones on the back of it and she loved it the vain little cat. Shea's heels clicked on the stone floors of the Academy. They made it to the front of the school with little problem and no conversation as somehow she just didn't know what to say.

She paced slowly the fabrics of her skirt sliding against her legs as she moved back and forth and soon Mayon showed up. He too had dressed up and she smiled seemed they all had thought this was a very dressy affair and in truth it probably wasn't a jeans and tshirt occasion.

She took the comm and attached the small pin to the collar of her shirt in case she needed it.

"Thanks." she said softly. "I'm ready to go when everyone else is." she bent down and picked up her bag and held it gently in her hand and waited.

Darian also attached the pendant to his clothing and nodded at Mayon.

"We'll be going to the front doors. It's where the first escort will be waiting." Darian said softly.

Once Mayon had gone ahead slightly Darian drew Shea aside and tilted her chin up. Even in his pain the emotion for Shea was still there raw and unshaped. With his breath caught in his throat he leaned over and kissed her a brief chaste kiss on the lips. But, the emotion the feeling was there, when he broke the kiss he stared into her eyes.

"The gift, words can not describe my gratitude Shea but, my thanks for you coming with me to help overcome this is just as great. You look terrific as well." Darian said at the end.

Catching up to Mayon with Shea he walked with both of them to the Front Doors of Arcane Academy. A man in a black suit was waiting although the suit wasn't seen as he wore a full blue mantle that fell over him with silver linings. The mage studied all three of them and whispered a single word of power. A circle formed and he motioned for everyone to stand in it. A wash a magic went over them and they were teleported to the outskirts of Calais at a Dumonte family courtyard in front of a house. A black limo was waiting the attendant taking their bags and putting them in the trunk.

"Darian, on behalf of the family staff we are truly sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Every knew how close you were to him and this must be hurting you the most."

Darian nodded quietly and entered the limo first Orchid teleporting to the Dumonte Compound in Paris. Darian leaned back in the leather seat the mage shedding his mantle and looking more like escort he entered the front. Once Shea and Mayon had entered the door was closed and Darian turned to look out the window.

[Mayon]

“Sounds good.”

Mayon said as Darian said we should go out to the front doors. Mayon agreed and they walked out to see the man. Mayon found it interesting how he looked and dress. It was definitely different form what Mayon had usually seen. Then the man conjured a circle and they were teleported to a limo. It seemed like a regular limo. He took a glance inside to see that it had two bench seats facing each other

Mayon switched his glance to Shea. She was very beautiful. Her clothes and her hair. He really had to admit she looked amazing. Mayon then looked back at the limo to see Darian enter the limo. As Mayon and Shea walked over to the limo Mayon stopped Shea for a minuet. Mayon put his hand in hers and smiled at her as she looked over at him.

“I just wanted to tell you Shea, that I think you look fantastic today and I really do like you. But what ever in gods name you do don’t tell Darian I said that.” Mayon Laughed “He really doesn’t like the fact that I also like you as I am sure you know he does as well. So I would rather not hurt his feelings right now as he is still very fragile.” Mayon went into a dull serious voice. “ I am afraid that this may be something bigger than an accident Shea. I think there might be something bigger going on but don’t tell Darian I think that. At least not yet.” Mayon was then cheerful again. “As I said already I think you look stunning.”

Mayon Then kissed Shea on the cheek and then headed into the limo. He sat across from Darian so that if they were talking it would be easier on their necks. That way the wouldn’t have to keep turning them and turning them. Besides they needed t be careful on this trip.

Mayon wouldn’t let anything happen to Shea. He wouldn’t let anything happen to Darian.

[Shea]

Shea didn't expect the kiss to come from Darian at all as he pulled her to the side she was left with a flush crossing her face from the brief kiss and the compliments. She stepped out of the Academy and began making her way to the limo. She watched as the man conjured the limo which impressed Shea.

Darian got in and with a touch of her earing at Bella's request the cat grew to the size of her large white panther and the collar worked. She went ahead in the limo and curled up next to Darian her head on his lap giving him comfort since Orchid had left she would be the subsitute. Shea was about step up when Mayon caught her. Wow twice in one day.

She blushed at his compliments and nodded at the other comment. But blushed again when Mayon confessed he was interested in her. But she did have to chuckle at the comment of keeping he affections for her a secret. She could only nod. A deeper blush crossed her face when he kissed her cheek and then left her to get into the limo. She swallowed and collected herself for a moment trying to get the blush to go down before she turned on her heal. Her dancer legs only accented by the heels she wore as she stepped into the limo and sat in the only seat now available. Next to Mayon.

She took her seat tucking her skirt underneath her properly and folding one toned leg over the other her right folded over her left. Her hands folded neatly in her lap as she gave Darian a reasurring smile and looked out the window.

Darian returned Shea's smile and he felt Bella's head nudge into his lap and his eyes widened in surprise and he bit his lip for a moment. Bella must really be worried about him to voluntarily ask this since she usually was always curled with Shea. Hell everyone seemed really worried for him and he let his fingers run through Bella's soft white fur. This was the first time that he had really run his finger's through Bella's fur when she was in her lage size. It was a soft and luxurious type and he couldn't help but, smile alittle at the cat who was reassuring him just like Shea had done. It really was a nice thing to have friends.

He lightly touched the bullet around his neck his fingers tracing over the engravement that he didn't notice before and tears welled up right then. He closed his eyes for a moment as he let the words trace out in his mind.

To Darian with Love.

Darian closed his hand around it and knew that his earlier thanks just wasn't enough this bullet signified a merging of their magics her jewel magic into his gun style. But, he didn't know how to tap into the jewel yet. He'd have to ask Shea for help on that later on how to tap into a jewel and access the magic. He continued running his fingers through Bella's soft fur as he opened his eyes the tears were gone. Renewed strength showed in his eyes as he gazed outside at the french countryside.

Soon enough they pulled into the train station where several men in suits were waiting for them. VIP bodyguards judging from the way they carried themselves. Why would Darian need VIP bodygaurds when he was simply heading to a funeral. He exited the limo and waited for Shea and Mayon as their bags were loaded onto a cargo carrier. They weren't even stopped anywhere as they were lead to one of the trains heading to Paris. Rather then a public car however, a private car had been attached to the end. Darian didn't even look phased at this sign of wealth.

It just becomes old after awhile.

The door opened and the inside of the car was opulent with beautiful blue velvet covered furnishings and black marble floor. The lighting above was made to where it looked like sunlight itself was flooding in though that was a lie since it was cloudy overhead. Darian sat down at one of the arm chairs that were at a table the table being in the center and circular.

"The train will take a few hours to get to Paris. In the meantime I hope you'll enjoy a meal. The bathroom is in the back. There is also some books over there on the shelf in case you'd like to read smething."

[Mayon]

Mayon had dozed off for a bit in the limo. He was tired and hadn’t gotten much rest.

Dream

The shadowy figure walked the streets until he was completely surrounded by unknown enemies. The shadowed man was an alchemist and a very talented one at that. Mayon knew who it was. The man Mayon wanted to be just like. The best alchemist in the world. His name is still a mystery in every book. His face had never been seen. But with so many men surrounding him the man only had one choice for and ultimate alchemic attack.

Without even clasping his hands the man stuck one hand onto the large amount of street pavement there was. He then activated a transmutation circle in his mind and the pavement behind him grew into a five-story serpent like Dragon. The Dragon move with a life-like form and it let out a roar so thunderous it shook the city. Then at lighting quick speeds the dragon hit every single man sending them flying. It was amazing and Mayon couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It felt so real. It didn’t feel like a dream but then he woke up in great pain.

Awake

Darian was gone and Shea was still in the car they were just exiting and Mayon was now in great pain. He took of his glove and let out a low yell as the pain seared through his hand. It was a lot worse than usual and yet he didn’t know why. Mayon got out of the limo and walked into the train, which he thought, looked rather nice. He walked in to the train and sat across from Darian again as he waited for Shea to enter.

[Shea]

The limo rolled to a stop and Darian climbed out Bella shrunk down into her normal size again and hopped over to Shea. She watched Mayon get out of the limo yelping in pain and she too climbed out letting Bella down the small kitten ran around excited to be going on a train ride.

She followed Darian and Mayon tucking her hair behind her ears again as usual and stepped up into the private car. The oppulence was nice a bit over done if you asked her almost gaudy in nature but she didn't say anything. She noticed that once again she would be sitting between Darian and Mayon. Lovely.

She crossed to the book shelf and picked up a book on poetry a mix of authors and took in to the seat closest to a window. Opening the the velvet shade she let the light fall on the book only opening it half way so she wouldn't bother anyone else. Settling herself down in the chair she crossed one leg over the other and opened the volume. She let her pale green eyes scan the book as she read letting the two men talk she just didn't want to get into another fight with them. Again. Because this time she couldn't run.

[Darian Dumonte]

Darian however, wouldn't speak as three bowels of rich and hearty soup were now served. The soup a spiced cream of potatoe soup that was currently popular in Parisian cafes. Darian sipped at the soup for a moment as ice water was poured in the glasses by an attendant. A second attendant filled the other glasses with a chilled tea.

Now I wish Orchid didn't go ahead.

"Please enjoy. If their is anything else you need just let me know."

Darian didn't seem affected by the finery as he leaned back for a moment in his chair and looked out as the train had started moving at a quick space. Two bowels one of chilled water and another of fine sliced ham was set down for Bella so she wouldn't be left out. The bowels were larger then for normal cats even multiple suggesting Orchid typically used these.

Sipping his soup politely he left it half-finished thanking the attendant as his bowel was taken up. Standing he crossed over to an empty spot and pressed a panel. A bed unfolded from the wall and set itself out and Darian sat down on it after removing his shoes. He would back up until he felt the cool window behind him and rest his head against it. He wasn't going to interrupt Shea while she was reading and right now he didn't feel like talking much himself.

Instead he drew his knees close to himself ignoring the fact he was wrinkling good clothes and rested his head on it. He felt the train continue on it's way towards Paris.

[Mayon]

As the pain subsided and Mayon felt well again the scar disappeared only to reappear as Mayon put on his gloves. But still it wasn’t the actual scar but the drawing of it on his glove. Mayon watched as Darian pressed a button to send out a large bed, which Darian was now resting upon. Mayon looked over to Shea who was now reading a book and Mayon decided to go see if there were any good books as well. As Mayon stood up and looked through the bookshelf he found one book, which seemed interesting. So Mayon sat down and started reading.

Mages Around The World

Throughout the world there are powerful masters of magic and weak ones who may still be training. In every continent you will always be able to find a mage. You may not know they are one as they may not want anyone to know but the chances of them being there are very high. Statistics show that half the population of the world is made up of mages to be.

In Canada there is a large number of alchemists and elementalists. In Australia you may find the wonderful summoner very easily. This shows that we can’t believe we are the only mages around. There are people who abuse the power of magic for their own good. For example, you may be in a state in America and there could be a huge corporation of mages working together to make money and cause others harm.

Mayon put the book down and thought about it. What if there was a corporation like this in Paris. These people could make his thoughts true. But if they were true that could mean Darian, Mayon and Shea could be in great trouble. Mayon looked at the empty side of Darians bed and then looked to Shea.

“Shea. Maybe you should go lie down. It is getting kind of late and you don’t want to be too tired for Paris do you?”

Mayon smiled.

[Shea]

Shea watched as Darian pulled a bed out of the wall and sat down on it. She felt bad. She didn't know what to do. She turned back to her book thinking that maybe he actually wanted some time alone and she didn't want to intrude on it.

She continued scanning the pages with her eyes just reading. She yawned slightly and looked up at Mayon when he spoke. She smiled gently and closed the book placing it on the table softly.

"You're probably right." she stood up slowly and touched Mayon's shoulder. "You should probably get a bit of rest yourself you know."

She moved over to the bed next to Darian and ran a gentle hand though his hair.

"Lay down and rest Darian." she said in his ear. She took Mayon and her own advice and lay down next to Darian her head on the pillow she lay on her side facing away from Darian as she closed her eyes gently.

[Darian Dumonte]

"Shea...."

He said softly looking up at her when he felt her fingers run through his hair again. Her touch and gentle manner was always nice to be around it was quite soothing. Darian settled against her as he drew a cover over them and like the last time they slept in bed togeather he moved close to her. An arm wrapped around her waist pulling her close to him as he layed his head against her's. The top of her head resting comfortably under his chin. He blinked his sleep back a few times but, soon fell asleep against Shea in a deep and restful manner.

The train ride would continue for the next three hours with Darian curled into Shea. His resting face quiet and peaceful as he remained against her familiar presence. It was just like the last time they had fallen asleep. Familiar and comfortable not a single problem in the world it seemed. Just the gentle rumble of the train as it sped towards Paris. He would stay against Shea until one of the VIP gaurds would shake them (and Mayon if he had fallen asleep in a chair or something) awake. Darian blinked of a few moments feeling his hand in Shea's their fingers entwined. Nodding he kissed Shea's cheek and got out of the bed with her.

"Thanks Shea."

He murmured softly as they were led out into the train station of downtown Paris. Once again Darian couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. As they walked outside though he almost made a smile despite his bad mood. It was snowing a beautiful and gentle snowfall that covered Paris in a white blanket. A limo was once again waiting for them and letting Shea in first he then sat beside her. They had an escort of four SUVs this time that were waiting for them.

"I always loved Paris in the winter it just looks so beautiful covered in a sheet of snow."

Darian said softly as he looked out the window his fingers entwined with Shea's again.

[Mayon]

Mayons eyes felt heavy and he put his head on his arms on the table and fell asleep. He was very tired and the next three hours would be a wonder on him, as he didn’t need much time to feel refreshed and awake. Mayon thought in his sleep and he fell through the darkness of his shit down mind. Of course is mind was sleeping as well. Mayon felt the pressure moving in as he continued to fall through his mind. He continued to sleep until he was awakened form one of the guards.

Mayon exited the train and walked along with Darian and Shea, as they were lead out to the station where a limo was waiting to pick them up. It seemed they were going to be escorted by a few SUV’s. Mayon waited as Darian Shea and Bella entered the limo. He then entered and sat down looking out the window. It was quite the view. Lights could be seen everywhere and Mayon was very impressed.

Mayon was wondering what Darians place would look like. It could be huge and luxurious which wasn’t what Mayon was used to except for the academy. Or it could be a nice little place. But Darian made it sound like it was rather large. Mayon took out some paper and a pen and started to quickly fly through the papers drawing transmutation circles on each one. You could never be too careful. Well that wasn’t true. Through Mayons travels he had met many people who were much too careful. People who couldn’t live their life as they were too worried about consequences Mayon never wanted to be like that. He had to be ready to take leaps.

Mayon didn’t care about that right now however as they were just in a limo. As they were driving Mayon was still looking out the window. Paris was a very beautiful place and Mayon found it very nice. He noticed that it was snowing. Mayon didn’t worry about the weather though.

Mayon looked at Shea and smiled. He then looked at Darian.

“The house should be very nice Darian I am sure. When we get there I am looking forward into checking into something as well so I will speak to you guys about that either later tonight or tomorrow. It is nothing as of now so I don’t need to worry you about it.

Mayon continued to smile as he looked back out the window again. As he did he said something.

“Shea I hope you are enjoying yourself as well as this I a very nice place city.”
