Ziare smiled. It was all she could do as the words she wanted to hear came pouring out of his mouth. She was so happy that he had decided that he wanted to be with her and do what it took in that regard. She wanted to have someone that would love her and take care of her too. She didn't want to be alone and though she had friends she had no one that was close enough that she felt she wasn't bothering them by showing up.
Alastin had been different. Perhaps it was how he had woken her up from her dazed state. Sent the nightmares away. And even now when she had ner nightmares he was there to comfort her. When she had nearly killed herself and when she had cut her long hair. She had indded needed him and he had always been there like no other time. It was now that she wanted not just a best friend but that man she knew she could count on no matter what she was going through and it seemed that Alastin was that man.
He leaned down and kissed her and then he .. he confessed that he had loved her for near a month now. Loved her like he had loved no other and wanted to be by her side. Truth was she had loved him for some time now but wasn't sure what to do nor how to say that to him. She was afraid to be honest to take that next step on the road to a new and serious relationship. But now she knew how he felt and it made everything.. all her worries just disappear.
"Oh Alastin Skylark, I love you too. I love you so much. I didn't know you felt the same and I didn't want to ruin what we had. But.. I wanted to tell you for some time now. Especially since.. that night. I wanted to confess to you what I felt because I felt bad hiding it but couldn't stand the idea of losing you in my life." she told him happily.

He blinked for a moment when she confessed that she had loved him for awhile as well. Afraid that he didn't have the same feelings for her and he blinked and had to give a rueful chuckle for a moment. She was afraid too huh? Well I guess they were both a tad gullible with things then and thinking that they were the over-emotional side in this relationship. Relationship...yeah Alastin liked the sound of that compared to friendship when Ziare was involved. He smiled at her as she finished her confession so it had been awhile for her as well. Well it was a good thing that he took the step to really make this a serious relationship. So what they felt for each other didn't just fade away into some forgotton spot where they would never remember it. He smiled and kissed her forehead lightly.
"Now you have me Ziare just as I have you. Neither abandoning the other and always reminding each other that we're in this forever. You're the only one I want to be in love with Ziare Anabelle Langely. The only one I ever want to come home to every night and then fall to sleep with you craddled in my arms..." Alastin murmured as he took her hand and kissed the back of it as he gazed into those beautiful eyes she had. She really was beautiful in that special way that he could never pull his gaze from it was that lovey-dovey sort of thing that made people want to puke. Okay sure Al knew that he had to be more firm at times and tell Ziare what he wanted rather then giving her non-stop sweet words but, hey old habits die hard and Al knew that it wasn't going to be an over-night change. He was going to have to make an effort for this.
"Soooooo....if I'm your boy-friend now does that mean I get to have those looks from you that are for me and me only?" Al said with a smile as he tangled his fingers in his hair and kissed her neck lightly. Well let's see her reactions if he played a tad seductive.
"Or must I earn them from you?" he asked with a smile.

((Skipping forward out of brain frying))
It was the next morning when the train finally stopped at Rosewood Station. I know clever name, yet it was a small town and what did you honestly expect. It was almost like walking into an omish town except that if you wanted electricity you could certainly have it. And some did, like the carpenter and the blacksmith. But Ziare's house, the one the farthest from the train station still did not. They used candles and lanterns she could only hope that Alastin would survive without tv and music for a few days while they were there.
So gathering their bags she smiled as she led Alastin through the town. It was small. The building were made of wood. A small system provided running water to all the homes it was one luxury no one seemed to want to pass up. They may not all need and want electricity but when you could turn on a hose to water your plants or turn on the shower it was nice to have that luxury. The students were all taught in one school. From five years to fourteen downstairs in the small school house. From fifteen through eighteen you were upstairs and the school gave you the boot at eighteen.
The school days and hours were funny depending on the season. As Rosewood relied heavily on farming and ranching. It was a lot of flat and hilly land that allowed them to do both easily and so come harvest time school was either out all together so the kids could help or shortened. As such they're summer break was much shorter than the kids that lived in the city. Though most kids here in Rosewood didn't know that.
"Zi? Well blessed be child you've come back for another visit. A new chap with you this time." he said with a smile. This man was an old man and he was the only grandfather she had ever known. He was her biological one but he was the one she called Grampa.
"Grampa!" she said as she dropped her bags and ran forward throwing herself into his arms he caught the light weight girl and gave her a hug to end all hugs.
"Well now, come introduce me to the new chap. Odd color hair you know." he whispered the last part and Ziare giggled and blushed.
"Grampa this is Alastin, Al this is Grampa." she said. The old man extended his hand to the boy and smiled.
"Well I'll be, a new one. You'll have to come over for tea so I can get to know ya." he said as he was missing a few teeth. But he was old and life on the farm is not always the most gentle of sorts.

Alastin got off the train with Ziare having rested well from the wonderful night with her in his arms. The town was small and had a quaint sort of feel to it that you couldn't help but, feel a tad nostalgic about. There was something to this town that put you at ease with the fresh crisp air being inhaled as well and refreshing Alastin. He saw how excited Zi was and truth be told he was rather excited himself humming softly. If he wanted music he could listen to his MP3 since it had that extra-long battery life but, Alastin was looking forward to a time without electricity being taken for granted. People took comforts for granted without even giving a second thought and when they were without it they tended to appreciate it more when they got home. Alastin didn't necessairly need it but, he always found it relaxing to listen to music as he worked to put him in a sort of centered ideal.
They soon approached a ranch-style house Alastin smiling at the home sort of feeling that seemed to come for it. He saw Ziare squeel and drop her bags Alastin pausing to pick them up and carefully shifted them in his arms as he walked to the porch seeing her hugging her grandfather. Seeing her smile brightly like that warmed Alastin and he could already guess that she was very close to her family. That was good in some ways Alastin was sort of envious since he wasn't super-duper close to his family like Ziare seemed to be with hers. Ah well he would just let it rub off on him as he saw her talking to him. Ziare's grandfather had that kindly sort of smile that just instantly made you happy and ready to sit down and listen to a story. Al shifted the bags he was carrying to free up an arm and shook the offered hand with a light grip.
"It really is a pleasure to meet you sir, and tea sounds absolutely divine once I drop these bags off," he said with a smile as he carefully held the bags. If Ziare wanted to carry hers she could take it off his hands but, he didn't mind carrying them truth be told.

Granpa didn't live on the ranch that she did. He lived in a small home that was just to the left of the library. She smiled softly as Granpa and Alastin got to know one another for a few moments Alastin saying that he would be more than happy to return to have tea once he got to set the bags down and she smiled happily because Granpa loved company. And so she kissed Granpa's cheek and he did the same to her waving goodbye.
"We'll be here tomorrow I promise!" she called back to him as she took her bags from him and led Alastin further down into the town.
They walked right through it people saying hi to her recognizing her from her last visit and having grown up here all her life. It wasn't every day a blonde headed blue eyed girl grew up in a sea of brown and brown. And so they remembered Ziare and she knew everyone calling out to them as she passed them by happily waving and promising to come visit when she got the chance. It wasn't long before they had passed the town by and went off on some small dirt path that led over a large hill it really looked like it led to nothing but the forest but he would see.
Once over the hill stood her family ranch. There were cows out to pasture both dairy and meat ones. There was a barn and a small country home where fire was coming out of the smock stack. There was a smoke house as well as two more small country houses on the land in the little valley boardered by the woods and it was all theirs. She continued down the way and soon you could hear the sounds of her brother and sister playing. She smiled as suddenly Mylie looked up and squeeled running for her big sister.
"ZIANNA!!" she squeeled as she ran right up into her arms and Zi knelt catching her tightly and then Quint her brother who came right after. And she smiled as they hugged her tightly.
She smiled and pulled back looking at them both. There was indeed no resemblance between them. They both had brown curly hair and Mylie's fell down to her hips and she smiled happily as she ran her hand through Ziare's hair.
"You cut it!" she whispered. Zi could only smile.
"I did, you will here the story in time, I promise." she said as she picked up Mylie and she held the eight year old in her arms as she headed with her luggage to the house. Quint following along.
"Who is he and how come he has purple hair?" he asked. Leave it to a kid to point out the obvious. Ziare chuckled allowing Alastin to answer him instead of her and she smiled at Alastin now was the time to see how he did with small children.

So tomorrow was already planned was it? He couldn't help but, smile at the closeness that was between these two and wanted to be a part of it now. He and Ziare were going to give things a chance for life though that chance was all that was needed to spark things. To pull things togeather to complete something that they were missing in their happy times togeather that had been so blissful. Alastin gave a relieved grin when she took her bags from him which was indeed rather fortunate. Ziare taking those bags of hers from him meant he wasn't going to randomly trip since he really didn't have balance from carrying all of those bags. Soon they were going through the town Alastin realized the attention they were getting since they sort of stood out compared to other people.
Alastin himself with his lavender hair and golden eyes and Ziare with her blonde hair and blue eyes. In a place like this they really did stand-out as the new people here or in a way like tourists did. Though Ziare was easily welcomed here she seeming to remember everyone that she was going past and Alastin gave a small smile at that. This place really was friendly even a few of the braver people greeting him and he gave friendly waves and hellos back. Already there time was being eaten up since Ziare was obviously in demand to visit and Alastin was sure as hell going to tag along. Humming softly however, they were soon outside the town and up the beaten path to reach the house. The ranch that had plenty of cows, fresh air, and best of all a homely feel.
Two siblings ran and ambushed Ziare, Alastin blinking but, remembering that they called her Zianna. The younger ones yeah Mylie...and ughhh Trent...Quincy?.....No no QUINT! Yeah that was it Alastin nodded to himself hopping that he was right as he saw Ziare looking happy as hell and he chuckled lightly as he heard that little comment about his hair. Yeah Alastin's hair was defianntly going to get a few questions he could already tell that as he looked at Quint and gave a small smile seeing Ziare carry her little sister into the house as he calmly removed his shoes and adjusted his bags for a moment.
"My name is Alastin Skylark and the reason why my hair is purple is because I like it that way. It started on a dare by my older brother and I sort of got used to it," Alastin said with a chuckle and a smile at Quint as he walked with Ziare letting her lead the way but, he did reach down and ruffle Quint's hair as he walked with Ziare.

It was nice out. The breeze played with Ziare's hair. Mylie grabbed a locke of her hair and held it gently in her hand. It was something that she did often when she needed comfort or her silent way of telling Ziare not to leave again. Though everyone knew she was here for a visit and nothing else. Her mother came out of the house, Mylie looked just like her. Her hair was filled with waves that fell down to her calves just like Ziare's hair used to. Her mother's eyes narrowed for two reasons. One she was with a new man, not Jyo. And two she had cut her hair to her hip.
Ziare reached out with her free hand and took Alastin's hand. She squeezed it gently and continued walking. The house looked small, and in truth it was. Inside there were few rooms but Ziare had always had her own in the attic. It wasn't long before they stepped up on the steps of the house and Ziare sat Mylie down before hugging her mother. Her mother embraced her tightly and squeezed her a bit. Ziare chuckled as she pulled back.
"You cut it." her mother said not one for going around a subject.
"Yes, Jyo died, and with him a bit of me." she said softly going for an easy route of answering hoping Alastin would understand. He was a healer he should understand rather well.
"I'm sorry to hear that child. Who is this young man you've brought to me this time?" she asked.
"This is Alastin. He is a healer." she explained gently as she pulled Alastin forward slight so that he could properly introduce himself. Once that was done her mother nodded.
"Well take him to your room and get him settled." she told Ziare.
Ziare led Alastin into the house and up some stares. The first floor was a large living room and a kitchen with a long table and benches to sit at. She was right there was no electricity. Up the stairs were two doors and a ladder. She led him up the ladder and into her room. Which was perfect. Rugs on the floor, a bed in the corner. A vanity, a wardrobe and a book shelf was all that was here. Very plain but just enough.
"Hope you don't mind getting snuggly, there isn't much room." she chuckled pointing to the twin size bed.
