Oh dear. It seemed that Roy had somehow snapped. This was becoming much more serious than intended, and some of the spectators looked like they were debating whether or not to intervene. But Nanashi couldn't think about that: The battle would require every ounce of his attention.
First, a roundhouse kick to the face. Nanashi raised his sword, and blocked the kick with part of the handle that he wasn't holding. Since it was a sharp blow, and didn't 'push', Nanashi was able to hold the momentary impact away from his head. Next was a bunch of... pokes. But they were flaming, which kind of caused a problem. He managed to block the first with the flat of his blade, but the next one hit Nanashi's right shoulder, scorched through his robe, and hit, searing his skin. Worst of all, his arm went limp.
Shit.
All right, so how to stop a crazy half-elf from poking you to death with a dead right arm holding a sword, and the other half of your body half-limp? Well, first get some breathing space. With both arms practically useless, that left kicks. Nanashi raised his left foot as quickly as he could and rammed it into Roy's stomach, pushing him back. Next, Nanashi twisted his hips, swinging his limp right arm around and hurling the next-to-useless sword in Roy's direction.
Try to get a plan into mind before making another move...

Roy felt the pain in his stomach, but he diddn't give a shit. He was moving to strike again, when a stream of water shot out, and knocked him unconcious.
I apologize for his actions. He's been through a lot. His old teacher used fire as a disciplinary tool. My name is Tianya. I....know him quite well.
She walked over to Nanashi, and laid her hand on his shoulder. Every wound he had was healed, and the effects of Roy's spells were gone.
Aqua blue hair hung down to her shoulders, and she wore a loose fitting robe that hid her body. He hair also hung in her face, blocking it from view. The elves surrounding them bowed down to her, for some reason.
Are you alright now, young one? I trust I was able to heal you correctly? I'm rather new at it.

Roy wasn't moved. At all. He was just going to keep hitting, and hitting, and hitting. Nanashi's left arm rose to push the next blow aside, but he didn't have to. Someone... interfered. The interferer, Tianya, then explained.
A whole lot more made sense now. He had taken a lot of abuse by fire, so no wonder he was so resilient. And being inside that huge mass of flame had... how to put this? Reminded and enraged him, it seemed. And Nanashi had been the closest person to take his anger out on. Then Tianya healed him, and revealed that she was no master... Oh well, it had turned out fine. His right shoulder was no longer burning, and... Well, come to think of it, that was really the only wound he had taken during the battle. Kind of sad.
"Yeah, I'm fine... I'd be more worried about him. I can't exactly say I was gentle."
Nanashi took his sword, which he hadn't had time to throw, and sheathed it with his now fine arm. He shook out his left arm and leg, now un-stunned, to get the blood flowing again.
"Well, what to do now..."

He will be fine. He is...resilliant.
Tianya looked around, surveying the scene. The fire behind her was still raging, so she put it out with a flick of her wrist. She looked at Nanashi again, and said,
Tht is....Roy Atenwood...right? He has grown much since I knew him, if it is.
She got down on one knee, and examined his still body. He was alive, and breathing regularly. She placed her hand on his chest, and saw that his heartbeat was normal. He was badly burned, but his skin wouldn't show it.
I would worry, but he'll never be alright. He's hurt in places I can't reach. Only time with family can heal his pain.
She looked back to Nanashi, and said,
You attend Arcane Academy, correct? Would you like me to teleport you back?

"Yes, that's Roy Atenwood. And yes, I am from Arcane Academy, but I can manage on my own."
Nanashi collected his scrolls that were scattered around. Fire, water, earth, and wood... Good, that was all of them.
"Well, I'll be off now. Tell Roy I hope he doesn't have too much trouble with... well, whatever he's having trouble with."
And with that said, Nanashi began the walk back to his car, picking up the unnecessary cell phone on the way. Once there, he returned the car, and went back to the portal to return to Arcane Academy, for a good bit of rather needed rest.
