Tristan walked as quickly as he normally would. Not only did he have superior balance and acrobatic ability, he could fly for fucks sake. Igneus, when they heard the screaming, flew past his partner since he wasn't exactly in the form to be taking on several opponents. Sure he could fly but something told him that once he left the stairs he couldn't get back on. Tristan simply turned, letting Igneus be his eyes on the stairs behind, and clapped his armored hands together.
Blue sparks of lightning shot out around the backs of his gauntlets and two fourteen inch blades grew from the mans fists. When the vampires came at him, his left fist was waiting, the blade going right through ones skull. "Lightning blade." He said in a normal volume and two light blue blades, the same hue of the lightning from the alchemy, shot forth with stunning brilliance. They were typical Greek short swords but their power was insurmountable. Over two hundred thousand volts should you be stabbed to the hilt. A glancing flick from the tip was vastly less, but the way Tristan was attacking, the vampires would be lucky to get nothing more than a full length stab in the gut.
The two blades soared up and back, blowing through chest after chest until they reached the last of the bunch, which, they simply embedded hilt deep into the ribs and dissipated with crackling blue light. All the vampires still on the stairs screamed in pain from both getting stabbed and being electrocuted to a severe degree. Most of them dropped dead from the sheer force of the lightning, the others that were left alive were quickly hacked to pieces by Tristan's fists which moved even faster than the lightning he had just launched from no where.
Somethings weird about these stairs, Igneus' suspicions had been right. The vampires that had attempted to get on Tristan's opposite side had hit a barrier and fallen into the depths. Tristan's gauntlet blades were withdrawn with alchemy once all the opposition were dead or in the abyss below, and the hunter picked up his sword which he'd lain against the wall that was now to his right. He flung it up wards and back in a way that it barely reached above his head and sunk back into its holster.
The man then turned back around, now facing the downward spiral once more, and Igneus returned to the perch of the mans shoulder. Careful of the floor and open space to his right, the man bolted down the stairs, utilizing his chakra while it was still active and able.
