Name: Jayne Ahn
Occupation: Apprentice
Nationality: Korean
Height: 5'5 1/2
Weight: 109 lbs.
Age: 17
Hair Color: Blue
Eye Color: Blue
Appearance:
Having pure, creme colored skin and deep aqua blue eyes, Jayne is known as a beautiful girl to those who know and don't know who Jayne is. She has long, pale arms and medium length slender fingers, so she is able to play the piano beautifully and with ease. Being an average height, right in the middle, Jayne can still easily hide into small areas and such. She's thin, having a flat stomach and such due to the fact that she was anorexic back when she was younger, and is now steadily increasing her weight. She wears whatever she wants, really. If she feels like wearing baggy pants and an oversized sweater, then she'll wear baggy pants and an oversized sweater. She'll mostly wear cargos and jeans however, since those are things she is most comfortable in. She always has on black leather gloves on her hands, and sneakers on her feet.
Personality:
Jayne is not very nice, nor is she very mean. She's about in the middle, and she doesn't really care about a lot of things. She is compassionate towards a couple of topics, but other then that, she really just...doesn't care. Jayne is the type to be serious most of the time, and likes to talk in circles and such. She doesn't really like answering questions, so it's really just a part of her hobby. She likes to keep things about herself hidden, which makes Jayne just one big mystery. She is slightly unstable, because she claims she hears voices, but other then that, she's perfectly..."normal". Doctors claim that Jayne may be schitzophrenic, but before they could take tests on her, Jayne ran away.
History:
Born in a family of four, Jayne was the youngest sibling. She had an older sister, and all for of them were...'mortals', you could say. Jayne lived a normal life, basically - she was just like any other normal seven year old girl, going to elementry school, playing on the playground, having sleepovers, until one day - one faithful day - there was a chemical explosion in the science room where the fifth graders were. Children immediately took exit, but Jayne, not knowing what was going on, and panicking, merely froze in place while she inhaled the mixed chemicals. People eventually came by with oxygen masks and such, and there Jayne was, leaning against the lockers, her skin glowing an abnormal color, and her eyes went in and out of focus. It was then when she noticed she was turning abnormal.
Slowly, her eyes began changing into a different color, along with her hair. Her roots were a bright, aqua blue, and she had the eyes to match it. Her skin glowed everytime she was near light, and her parents thought she was, well, a freak. Her mother began claiming that Jayne was, in reality, not her daughter, and her sister began following suit. Her father refused to look at Jayne, and she was known as a social outcast in school and at home. Teachers wouldn't give her a second look, and would act as if she wasn't there, and her best friends turned on her, giving her sneers and odd looks.
Finally, getting sick of this, she released the bottle of anger that she had kept inside her for so long. White sparks of electricity flew everywhere, the school lost it's power, and that was when Jayne ran away. Once she was a good distance apart from them, a man, a kind man told her that there were other people like her, and that she could learn how to use her powers for whatever she wanted. It was her decision on what she wanted or not though. First thing first though, he trained her - day and night, he taught her how to focus her energy at one point and she began target practicing. She learned that she could take away energy and give it back, and then, just one day out of the blue, her emotions went away and the old man disappeared, giving her instructions to a place called Arcane Academy and a bank account. She never knew the mans name, nor did she ever really get to see his face, for he always wore a cloak. But one day, maybe one day, she'll be able to find him again, and show him what she learned while he was gone.
Having plenty of money, she eventually found the school and enrolled there, not sure whether or not to get an apartment near there, or just take a dorm room. She'll figure it out.
Style:
Lightning Manipulation. Some consider this an Elementalism, and others don't. Jayne doesn't really care what it's called, but all she knows is that she can control electricity whether she's taking the energy from a light bulb or giving power to a light bulb. She has the power to take lightning - like if there's a thunderstorm, she can steal a bolt - and there's also where she can use her magic for other purposes. Though there's a limit on her magic - if she runs out, then she simply "eats" up energy.
Strengths:
Water. With water, her electricity can flow easily from one place to another, though that's all it does. Though, it does tend to get hard to shower at times. Gasoline - it's easy to spark up a fire with her power, since all you need is one small electric wave and boom - it goes up into flames. If it's one thing she's acceptionally good at, it's being able to tell what move is coming next.
Weaknesses:
Strength in general. Jayne is known to be weak, upperbody wise. She's pretty average when it comes to running and such, but when it comes to hand to hand combat, all she'll most likely do is try to dodge since she's pretty much pathetic when it comes to punching. She knows basic moves, but they'll barely hurt sadly. That, and her power has a limit. Basically, she can run out of her power fairly quickly if she uses it too much at once, and it would physically drain her. She would need to find a circuit of some sort and drain it.
Spell List:
Drain: Getting a battery or going to a circuit and draining the electricity/power given. The same goes with lightning, but that is dangerous for Jayne, especially if the lightning is too big, it could possibly give her some sort of shock and kill her, which is the reason why she sticks with circuits and the more...smaller things.
Giving: Let's say a lightbulb ran out of electricity - Jayne has the power to give it light just by holding it, and as long as she keeps holding on to it, or gives it enough electricity and power, then everything should be good.
Wave: This isn't something she can really control, since her electricity tends to wave around like it was the most flexible thing on Earth, but she has been target practicing with them, and she does know how to hit things even if they move in the oddest, most confusing pattern.
Field: Where small sparks would occur around a field - depending on how much power she has left determines on how big the field it is. Anyone can get shocked at any given time. She doesn't have any power to control when someone would get shocked and where - it just happens. Game of chance, really.
Bomb: Or close to them, anyway. Basically, she creates a small ball of electricity, or in any other shape, and uses them for whatever she wants. It's like a bomb - when she throws them, the electricity scatters and hits whatever gets in it's way.
Weapons/Gear:
She carries around a small dagger with her that's strapped on her leg underneath her clothes. That, and she has a katana, but it's only for decoration purposes. She's tried practicing with it before, but she really just has it because it was one of the things the man left her.
