Nationality: Alantian (Ya know… Atlantis…)
Race: Cat girl/Water Demon

Appearance:
Personality: Myst is prone to mood-swings. One moment she will be adorably cute and cuddling you… the next, she has ripped off your arm and is beating you with it. Unlike most water mages she doesn’t go with the flow so to speak. She is entirely her own girl and refuses to let others tell her otherwise. She is loyal to friends and other loved ones. Myst is rather easy to set off and has been mistaken for a pyro because of her temper and are usually surprised to find out she is trying to drown them. When she is nice, she is sweet as honey and most prefer her that way. She tends to like to play mind games and will do the exact opposite of what ever some one tells her. (Example: Myst… Don’t touch that flamethrower –myst torches the place- See…) Myst loves Anime and is a total anime nerd. She has a bazillion plushies and is a Veggitarian but still eats fish. She also likes using her powers to annoy people. Much like a cat she is curiouse but that is always covered up by her blatant disreguard for what any one tells her to do. At times she can be a bit sarcastic. She also loves to surf and has many different swimsuits to match her moods.
History: Myst was born into a small family in Atlantis. It was just her, Her mother and her father, but soon after she was born her mother became very ill and to pay for the special medicine the two had to sell their daughter to a wealthy family. Mystic was a bright child. She knew that her current family couldn’t be hers. Around five years old she stumbled in on her “mother” and “father” talking about Myst’s future.
“Myst is a troublesome little thing isn’t she dear?”
“Oh she is only a child Garret… She can’t help it that she has an inquisitive mind set.”
“No that’s not it love. The other day Myst told Tarrie that she believed she wasn’t one of ours.”
“And what did Tarrie say?”
“Oh nothing much. She of course denied it and switched the subject, I am just worried how it might affect the girl if she knew.”
“If she knew what Garret? That we bought her? That we plan on sending her off when she is 19… Come on Garret. She is a child. She doesn’t think about things like that.”
“Perhaps you are right my love. I just can’t help but worry for the poor child.”
“Well… Don’t Myst is a brilliant child.”
Her “mother” wrapped her arms around her “father” and hugged him close. He sighed softly and wrapped his arms around her but he caught sight of Myst peeking in through the door. He looked at her for only a moment and those pale lavender orbs seemed so sad. Myst turned from the door and took off running down the stairs. She had to ask Tarrie what was going on. Her little feet were moving quicker then her mind could follow and Myst tripped. She tumbled all the way down the stairs. The crash brought her “mother” and “father” and the nanny Tarrie into the room. On the ground level of the house, little Myst lay in a heap, her pale lavender eyes hidden by the layer of flesh that was her eyelids. Her right shoulder looked out of its joint and her tail was a bit crooked. Myst could hear the faint sobs that left her “mother” as her “father” rushed down the stairs calling for her to answer him. She didn’t have the strength for it. So… She just laid on the ground, at the bottom of those long steps until she fell into what seemed to be a dream.
When the little girl woke up, she looked around the pure white hospital room. A lady with purple hair leaned over her and smiled down at the girl.
“They were worried about you Myst. I had never seen a mother and father cry so much in my life.”
Mystic looked around the room. Sure enough, in the corner sat her mother and father. They were sleeping right now but they looked like they hadn’t slept in days.
“They can’t hear us, so don’t worry about waking them up.”
“Why can’t they hear us? What is your name?”
“They can’t hear us because you and I are in a different place. My name is Mariel.”
“Do I know you?”
“Yes…”
“How?”
“I am your mother.”
Mystic was silent. She just looked at the woman in front of her. Purple hair, blue eyes, pale skin and white ears and tails. Mystic wanted to commit this to memory and ask her adopted family about it later. There was so much she wanted to know now but the woman in front of her started to fade away.
“Wait… M-mommy…”
“Don’t worry Mystic. Mommy isn’t always where you can see her but I am always with you.”
With that the purple haired beauty vanished. Myst felt tears well up in her eyes and she began to cry. It all suddenly came crashing over her in one shot. At the sound of their daughter crying, her adopted family woke up. They rushed to her side and tried to calm the girl. After Myst calmed down, she told her mother and father what had happened. They told her why she couldn’t be with her mother. Even though Mystic’s real mother got the treatment she needed, it wasn’t enough. She died. Mystic’s father then committed suicide because he no longer had his wife or his child. This had been a lot for the child to learn at such a young age, but she also learned that in memory of her real parents her adopted family was still going to carry out the wishes of her Mother. Myst would be sent away at 19 to Arcane Academy. What was to happen now? Well Myst grew up and when she turned 15 she became a bit of a hell raiser. She had jumped in with the wrong crowd. Not that she was doing anything illegal… No Myst wouldn’t ever, but she was disobeying her Mother and father a lot. Even Tarrie had not control over Myst. No one knew the reason for Myst’s change in behavior but it had come right after her 15th birthday. When Tarrie asked Myst why she had changed, Mystic couldn’t really say. All she said was that her mother no longer wished to see her. Tarrie was a bit confused and asked Myst’s mother (Leena) If that was true. Leena said no and decided to speak with Myst about it.
“Myst… Why did you tell Tarrie I didn’t want to see you?
“I didn’t mean you… I meant Mariel. My real mother. She came to me in a dream… She doesn’t want me to dream of her any more. She doesn’t want me to see her any more.”
“Oh myst… Your mother needs rest. She will always watch over you but you can not keep on dreaming of her and waking her up. Let her come to you.”
However Myst refused to understand. She began to do the opposite of everything people told her. It was becoming troublesome and Myst’s parents worried she might hurt her self. They kept Tarrie to watch over the child but Tarrie was soon found out and Myst got so angry. She stormed up to her room and began to scream and Cry. Most would say Mystic was being a brat. As she cried, her tears fell onto the floor and her room began to fill with water. Her powers had awoken. Myst opened her door to get her parents and the water spilled out, sweeping Mystic’s feet out from under her. In her ears she heard her mother’s voice. The voice of Mariel…
“Mystic… Mommy will always be at your side. To prove to you I am here, I give you my power. May it protect you.”
“Mommy! Daddy! Tarrie!”
Mystic called out for them as she began sliding. The waves of the water picked up and Mystic steadied her self on them. Her mother and father opened their doors to see Mystic ride the waves down the stairs and out the door. They fallowed her and Tarrie was right on their tails. They watched as Mystic was set on the ground and from the sky rained down butterflies and Lilies made of water. It was a weird sight, but they understood now why Mariel wanted Mystic to go to the academy. Did Mystic change her ways? Slightly. She now only did the exact opposite of what her friends told her to do, in hopes that it would make Mariel happy to see her not part of their group any more. Mystic had no idea that doing this angered the group she once called friends and many of the boys from that group began to follow her around, scaring her and spreading rumors. Mystic went through that torture in her school and when she turned 18 her mother and father decided to move to the above world. Myst knew nothing of the above world but she quickly found a group of people she fit in with. Gamers, and Japanese art enthusiasts. Her mother and father gave her a silver necklace with a rain drop charm on it. They had enchanted that charm with a power that would pull her ears and tail in and hide them from normal eyes.
Myst and her new friends were going to go on a trip to Florida. They were going to a small convention there named “Metro-Con” It was there that Myst was attacked. It was late night, after the rave party, Myst covered in glowsticks head to toe. Her cat ears and tail out and free (She claimed them as part of her costume). Three boys stepped out of the shadows, complimenting her on her ‘assets’ and laughing. Saying things like “Come on baby” and to be honest, Myst was a bit annoyed. She kept walking ignoring them and one of them reached out grabbing her hand. He pulled her back to him and smiled. His breath stunk and he smiled down at her. His hand began to travel down her curves and Myst was a bit frozen in shock. A boy had been walking down the sidewalk opposite of them. He looked like he was going home from the con as well. Though he stopped and shouted at the three thugs. Myst began to struggle in the leaders grasp. She got free just as the boy ran over to help her. He slugged one boy and Myst’s tail and ears flicked around. The boy stopped to look at her. The other cat girls at the con… Their ears and tail didn’t move unless they walked.
“Watch out!”
Myst yelled as one of the other thugs rushed at the boy. The boy wasn’t prepared and Myst sent a powerful water ball at the thug knocking him off his feet. The thugs freaked out. Normal people couldn’t send water balls. Myst was scared too. The thugs would have taken off running if it weren’t for their leader who seemed more pissed off that the boy had hit him. Myst on the other hand was ready to run. The boy was already in front of her. He smiled at her and got into a fighting stance facing the thug.
“My name is Napalm… Remember it incase I see you again. Run…”
Myst did as the boy said. She was sure he was going to handle things well enough on his own. She hurried quickly back to her hotel room and got the first plane back to her mother and fathers house. She told all her friends that she wasn’t feeling good and left it at that. Her mother and father knew the truth and didn’t push her on it. A year later… She was packing to go to Arcane Academy. Tears left her mothers eyes as they said their goodbyes. Tarrie hugged the child and gave her a staff with a bunch of water stones tied onto it and Atlantian carvings in the wood. Myst smiled and stepped onto Arcane Academy’s grounds.
Style:
Elemental: Water- She can create water and manipulate only what she creates. Her skills aren’t far enough to manipulate natural water (Rain water, springs, ponds, Ect.)
Strengths: She has feline reflexes and is quick. Mystic can jump high and in combat dodges attacks as best she can. Her ears are usually alert and listening for any sounds of a sneak attack.
Weaknesses: Mystic has a temper and in combat it is easy to piss her off. Her tail is sensitive and she tends to try to keep that rather close to her in combat. Her right shoulder is easily dislocated and she often worries about it in combat.
Spell List:
Waterlilies:This spell makes water, shaped like flowers fall to the ground. What ever the water flowers land on immediately becomes soaked. More often then not she uses this to entertain her self.
Butterflies: Another spell pretty much the same as the first except it is butterflys instead of lilys. She is often only using this spell to entertain her self.
Waterball: A simple attack. She hurls a ball of water at you.
Bubbles: Now this is another one of her entertainment dealys. She blows bubbles out and they float around. The odd thing about these bubbles is that when they pop on you or your weapon they make you feel a bit sticky. (You ever play with bubbles? Those things make your hands sticky like mad until you wash them off.)
Tsunami surf: Well the amount of water that falls on her opponents isn’t enough to be called a tsunami but it is usually a wave large enough to surf on. Something she loves to do whenever she uses this spell. So you get hit by two things… The wave… and a surfing cat girl.
Weapons/Gear:
Atlantian Staff: The staff was given to her by her Nanny Tarrie. It has Atlantian carvings on it and water stones tied to the top. The staff is meant to help control Myst’s water power. A sort of concentration device.
Charm Necklace: Has been charmed with the power to hide her ears and tail. She wears it all the time though its power only works when she is around humans who don’t know the magickal world.
