So a creature being held is loose. I wonder why I was the only one who was sent. He thought as he moved through the trees of Russia. He had only been to this country once with his father and it was in the citys and so on. The wild was much different. It was much coler here than at home. But Jyo had left his long coat behind for a thick wool jacket and his scarf covered his mouth so the only thing that could be seen of his head was his nose up. The long hair was tied back and tucked under the jacket so it didn't get caught.
He not emerged from the tree area and paused as he saw tracks in the snow. It was definatly not something of nature as most people would say. Though Jyo accepted something like magic and everything with it natural.
He took a moment to think back to his briefing. He had been staying the night with Ziare when he was called. He was soon standing before one of the Academy's most powerful spellcasters being told his task. A quick trip through the portal and he was here. He had been told to kill the beast. And he knew that there was a good reason that was his mission. This creature could be very deadly from what he was told and his senses would have to be at maximum.
He heard a noise and whirled around. His sword drawn from his waist and pointed at the source of the noise. But it was only a rabbit. Best to be "Jumpy" As they would say instead of getting killed I guess. Must be first-mission-jitters or something He thought sheathing the weapon back at his waist. Not an uncomfortable position but not a familiar one for him.
Jyo moved on again following the tracks and then there was another thicket of trees where the tracks led. But he didn't notice anything around the area. He slowly crept around to see what was at the end of the tracks. No way the monster was here right now. But mabey Jyo would find something that could help him.

Broken branches litered the ground, as some dead animals lied around, burn marks over them. Whatever did this, seemed to be powerfull....
Some foot steps lead away deeper into the woods

Fire magic. This is interesting. I wish I had gotten a bit more info as to what this thing could do. But it was so hurried He thought. he was glad it was only animals. Granted Jyo didn't like the loos of life period. He still was glad it wasn't another human or the likes.
But if I don't hurry that could be a big change. he thought and he moved following the tracks again. His boots not even making crunching sounds in the snow. Jyo had learned how to move next to perfectly quietly.
He soon passed by a small town. The tracks thankfully didn't go in there. But mabey someone had seen something. He figured he could go and ask. His father had taught him to Speak Russian. Chinese and Japanese along with his english. Jyo was in the middle of other forms of speech but he knew what he needed right now.
Jyo came into town which was more of a small suburb instead of a town. He figured he would look for something like a central square or the likes and then work from there. He unhooked his sheathed weapon from his belt in case weapons were not permitted here and walked into town and looked to see if anyone would come out and see him. He didn't feel things should go bad as the jacket given to him by the Academy had the symbol of the Academy on it.

No one came out....it seemed this was just a regular village located in the woods. There were farmers and people out, but no one really paid attention to you.
Then suddenly, a woman came bursting into the village square, yelling and crying as if she saw a ghost, from her words were (In Russian of course):
"I saw a demon! A Demon! Running into the back woods behind the Village!

Jyo looked around. He saw the woman running and then she screamed about seeing a deamon. Good and bad. I have a lead. But I wonder if it had attacked.....no if it had there probebly woulnd't be anything left. He thought and then walked calmy over to the woman and put a hand on her shoulder and in fluent Russian(Thought the accent was slightly off) he spoke.
"Okay ma'em. I have been sent to deal with this deamon. You shouldn't have to worry about it for too long. Now did it just run by or did it attack anyone or anything before running off?" He asked. He was doing his best to keep the situation in control.

"All the demon did" The woman said, incoherently was: "That demon just destroyed the trees behind my house before i spotted it, and it ran off"
With that, the women got up, shaken from the whole thing, and was helped up by her husband. But then, from somewhere in the back of the woods, fire shot up and a dark howl came......

Jyo's attention was caught by the howl. He snappe the weapon back to his belt. "You have my thanks. I will not let this creature run loos anymore. You have my word." He said and then took off at the direction of the howling and the flame.
How did this thing get out. I'm sure this isn't the first time but it must be powerful or clever if not both to get out of the academy. Or is it sabatoge. He thought as he ran picking up more tracks. These were very fresh. He was on the deamon's tail.
His left hand found it's way to the sword handle again as he ran. The tracks kept going strait. He must have just barly missed the creature running by the town. He would soon be on it. Jyo started focusing on what spells he may need to use. He had a good idea of what he had to do to complete this task.
Why didn't they give me any more info than they did? This doens't make sense. The Academy is normally ontop of these things from what father has told me. He pushed these thoughts aside for later. He had to focuse on the task at hand.
The tracks led to a clearing. Jyo stepped in without pauseing and fixed his eyes on his target.

"Usually they are" Said a voice in Jyo's head. "But it becomes hard when information is destroyed, and luckily for me, the Information hall was right next to my cell"
Appeared before Jyo was a wolf, a huge wolf, about the size of a human. Around it's neck was a tag, most likely from the academy. Around hi's paws and mantle were fire, burning up as it's fire shinned with bloody radience. It seemed this beast was not only fire, but also psychic as well. maybe that's why the Academy took it and studied it, to understand it's powers and uniqueness.
"I am all alone in the world, the last of my kind. But the Academy want's to study me and immortalize me in their books. I say no, for i want to run free and roam the world, and clean these human scum off the earth. I suppose you;ll want to kill me now, for you seemed to have heard that women's tale. She was lucky she ran out when she saw me, or I would've killed her......"

Jyo stared at the wolf. It was actually a creatur of beatuy to his eyes. He found it extremely fascinating. And it could communicate. The wolf was sentient. Jyo's worst fears were confirmed. He didn't wish to draw his blade against something with such intelligence. And it was a creature who had commited no crime he could think of once free. But it did mention it would have killed that woman.
"That is my mission. But I hope you do belive that I do not WANT to kill you." He said as he stood strait up instead of in a combat stance. Slowly his left hand moved from the handle of his weapon. Mabey there could be another way through this. "My name is Jyo Hanara Mashima. A Spellcaster level student at the Academy. What is your name?" He asked the wolf as he held out his hands to the side to show there was not hostility at this moment on his side.

"Take your hand back filthy human" The wolf said coldly, his voice in sighting past pains. "I have no trust to hold the hands of one of your foul race. You say you wish not to kill me, I think not. For if you don't, others will. As for my name, i have none. All i am is Subject 5476....the last of my kind.....Well, it matters not, My missions is to avenge my people who died at your hands....and I'LL START WITH YOU"
With that, the create fired a fire ball at Jyo, anger in his eyes over the humans who have crushed his kind and civilization.

Jyo sighed. He saw the fireball come at him and he put up a barrier with his magic and the fireball burst against it. Jyo put his hands down and his eyes narowed.
"I see now. Yes humans can do terrible things as a group. But a PERSON can be different. I refuse to call you by a number. Instead while we both live I will refere to you as Ember. It's...fitting." he said jumping back as he spoke and his left hand found the handle of his sword. But yet. He didn't draw it.
His expression softend I really don't wish to do this Ember. There can be another way. Not every human is out to get you. Granted what happend to your kind is inexcusable. But I don't really think killing everyone in return would help anything. All it will do is cause even more of all of this." He said still keeping in a defensive position.
"I could try and help in another way." He said.

"Perhaps....perhaps" Ember said, calm and relaxed as he stared on at the kind he so hated. "You're right, you know.......I should be enjoying my freedom, not wanting to kill everyone. Perhaps, the reason i didn't kill that woman was because....i didn't want to...."
Quickly the wolf came up and quickly dropped his tag in Jyo's hand, looking at the man with a calm, wolfish face.
"Here take these" The wolf said, his tone warm and kind, as oppose to his other one moments ago. "Show this tag as a symbol of my death at your hands. However though, if you need my help, place some energy in it and I'll come to you, to aid you and help you in your times of need, both battle and non-battle. You can even speak into the tag as well, it shares a link with me....."

Jyo relaxed and his hand left then handle. "Where will you go. Are you able to avoid them tracking you?' He asked wanting to make sure that EMber would not be tracked down and Jyo himself not in trouble for this. Though Jyo would face any punishment he would recive if found out he did not do as ordered. But his own morals came before his mission here.

"I dunno... I might get hunt down again" Ember said, his tone calm and relaxed. "Wait, i know, I'll return to spirit form and reside inside your body, and when you need to contact me just speak to the collar or mentally talk to me like before. And when you summon me, I'll just pop out of your body and appear as a summon. The Academy will think of me like a summon hehehe."
With that, Ember turned spirit and just moved into Jyo, becoming part of him and him apart of Ember.
"Hehehe, i could get use to this" Ember said mentally, his face turning happy inside Jyo's mind.
