In a little section of the Academy, small sections were broken off into magic by culture. Chinese magic, also known as or mo shu, could be put into many forms. Through Taoism, magic could be achieved, but Taoism was not magic. Far into a Japanese sector, there was a building owned by a Japanese man who had lived in China for over twenty years, studying Taoism. His name was Kakita Kenmotsu Benkei, named after Saito Musashibo Benkei. His residence at the Academy came to be when he found out magic could be achieved through Taoism. He has been at the Academy for fifteen years, studying the magic in karma and in Taoism. However, he was not complete without a steady mind. One thing that could ease his pain was the ku cha yi sheng. A mystic item lost deep in the heart of China. He was not useful in these days for quests, and his Tao students had not been ready. He posted a sign-up form on a billboard outside of the Chinese center of the Academy. He needed an able team to help him find his artifact. "Kids do anything, they love this stuff, right...?" He questioned in his old, quiet voice.__________ __________ __________ __________ __________ __________ __________ __________ Sign-up only if you're going to post, please. This mission will be fun, I promise. -=}N{=-

A mission? Sounds fun... Very fun... And China, to. Interesting.
Nanashi signed his name on the sheet he had just found on the wall. Going into China to find a lost artifact for some old geezer taoist... This would prove very interesting indeed...
Of course, it might be a factor that Nanashi spoke no Chinese, only Japanese and English, but surely, nobody would care much? Besides, Japanese and Chinese were closely related... Maybe he could catch on. Really fast.

(Wolf was a the school reading books and scrolls hoping to hind something on the Joker. But with the search zero, he walked around the school to clear him mind. His long cape covered his whole body as he walked around the halls and even the outside of the school for air. But as he walked around the grounds of hte school, he found something that might help him in his search for some info on the Joker. It was a sign-up sheet for a mission. Something about China magic and such. This could lead Wolf to some clues.
He wouldn't take in missions like this but what could he do? But this mission might lead him to some kind of clues. So he sighed his name on the sheet.)

Torm looks over the sheet and signs it skeptically; he knows little about Chinese schools of magic or Eastern culture, and he figures that he will stick out like a sore thumb in that part of the world, but it was part of his philosophy to not abandon people in need. China, here I come!

~Tenshu had been inside the the building, at the man's dojo. He had been sitting down, meditating, while the other students in the background sparred. When one student would come close to striking, Tenshu woul dincrease his train of though, and the student would miss. The students didn't even notice the alterations. It was a form of magic not controlled by taint, and Tenshu had a very hard time with it. Tenshu opened his eyes, watching the old man walk outside with a scibed piece of paper. Losing his concentration, one of the students defeated the other without Tenshu's interference. "Old man..." Tenshu whispered, standing up. "Kyoden," Kyoden came from another room, into view, "let's go." Tenshu left walked to the door way, and stood before it. He reached out his left hand from his sleeves and dropped some form of old currency, koku, into an old metal dish, held upright on a stand. Stepping outside, he read the scripture. It was, in fact, not scripture, but a notice. A sign-up sheet for those willing to complete a mission to find an artifact known as Ku Cha yi Sheng. "Hm... To China, where the strongest of souls reside." Tenshu signed the sheet with his crude, bloody pen.~

Already signitures were on this sheet on a mission that would take them to deep China. Something that Lanji himself was looking forward to as he studied the sheet for a few seconds before signing his name onto it. It was just the thing to test his ambassadorial skills. While he knew little if any Chinese himself he had some grip on Japanese enough to where he could make basic conversation and handle some basic transcactions if needed skills that were important in a field mission.

It was a mission. She had never been on one of these, only heard stories. China was a place she had only been to once in her life to visit the faerie council of the east. She had not stayed long but the jungles and forests there had been breathtaking. She smiled as she grabbed a pen out of her coat and added her name to the bottom of the list.

It was a mission, most likely dangerous, most likely filled with adventure, heroes, losers, and a prize in the end. But all that didn't matter for Angra, it was the possibility of someone dieing in the utmost pain that lured him to sign up his name for the list. Beside, he had an ally on the list that he had to check up on, because he wouldn't trust anyone who betrayed his friends that easily.

Master Benkei had returned to his dojo durintg the afternoon, a few hours after the morning when he had posted his sign-up sheet. A few of his students still remained, so he might as well put them to work. He took the sign-up sheet and handed it to the two dueling students from before. "I need a favor. Find these students' dorms, and post these at thier doors." Master Benkei handed them eight scrolls, each with the directions on how to come back to his dojo. "Thank you..." The students bowed low, Master Benkei makign a short bow before they rose. As the students left, Master Benkei drifted int o the next room. This room was filled with seats. Not chairs, just seats, and small tables about six inches off of the ground. Here on these tables, sand pits and paint surfaces were to be placed for the student Taoists. But, the tables were empty, leaving the small cushions. Master Benkei took his seat at the Master's table, where there had been a sand pit and a qian tao brush, used to move the sand. Reaching into a small drawer on the table, he pulled out what seemed to be only a small bit of a green herb, "I'm glad I've still got some for now," he said, sprinkling it in the sand. He sat, and waited for the students to arrive, to take their seats. Mixing the leaves with the sand, he waited.
EDIT: Please note that all of the tables are separate.
After 2 weeks from Friday, I will be skipping anyone who has not posted. When I do, I will make my normal post. Anyone skipped will be assumed that they did not show up, and you will be left out of the mission and will receive 0 EXP for not participating in any part past the sign-up. Just don't get left out.

Nanashi was alerted by a slight tap at the door to his dorm. Because he didn't know what it was, just to be safe, he grabbed his sword. He had his scrolls on him in case something got really ugly: he always did. He removed his sword from it's sheath, not bothering to split it, and walked slowly to the door. The tapping had stopped, so whatever was out there was probably gone. Nanashi opened the door cautiously, then sheathed his sword and opened it in full when he saw that nothing was there.
When he spotted the scroll on his door, however, his alarm returned in full. Being a scroll mage, he knew roughly how much damage one of those could do. After a moment, he calmed down, because if there was no caster in sight, it was extremely unlikely that the scroll could be activated. He removed the scroll from where it had been stuck, glaring at the hole in the door before quickly touching it, making the wood around it expand and fill the hole, unfolded the scroll and began to read.
Ah yes. The mission into China. He was to meet master Benkei near where he had found the sign-up sheet. Well, why waste any time? There wasn't anything else Nanashi was doing. He headed for the place described. He knocked, and then entered the room.
He was the first to arive, other than master Benkei, of course. Master Benkei happened to be sitting at a short table with only mats to sit on. Nanashi was not unused to these, and promply walked over and sat down, legs crossed, directly across from master Benkei. He decided that the old taoist would probably expect a greeting at least, and Nanashi did know some manners for when he needed them, even if he considered that rarely...
"Good afternoon. I am Kinkatsu Nanashi. You are master Benkei, correct?"
Nanashi said in perfect Japanese. It was, after all, his native language. Now, to wait for his greeting to be returned. He didn't want to jump straight into questions, and he probably wouldn't have to explain his preasance.

~Tenshu waited in his dorm for a reply. He knew how the old man worked. He knew him well. Hearing the tap of the scroll being attached to his door, he nodded to Kyoden. Kyoden brought the scroll in and handed it to Tenshu. He read it obliged. "Come, Kyoden." Tenshu and Kyoden left the dorm room as Tenshu sealed it with a scroll from the inside. As he and Kyoden paced the halls, he spoke, "The last time we were in China, I do believe we've the soul of Emperor Yinzheng's son, from The Wall." Kyoden nodded. He knew. Emperor Yinzheng, who commanded the Terra-Cotta army and built the Great Wall, sent his own son to fight and die at that wall. The soul of the son of an emperor would be so strong, and so easy to take at this rate, even during battle. He just stood on The Wall and waited for him to die. After that, he took the soul, and bound it to Kyoden. But, that was so far in the past. "China has changed, just like the rest of the world. Things aren't easy anymore."
Upon arriving at Master Benkei's dojo, Tenshu slid the door open and made his way to the back room, as the directions instructed. He bowed to Master Benkei, "Kon genki wa, Benkeisama," he said after rising. He noticed another student, and bowed slightly, "Shitsurei shimasu." Tenshu took a seet at one of the tables near the master table, arms folded inside his kimono sleeves, legs crossed. Kyoden stood by the door, still. They waited. Wherever they were going in China, as the scroll read, it would probably be unknown. What was known as "Ku Chu yi Sheng" was something Tenshu knew of, and it was quite rare. He had only heard of it, but had not seen it. Its power was so immense, even the most humble masters' minds were erased from time, so to speak. Memory, forgotten. Tenshu could take this opportunity to take the ku cha for himself, but he was loyal to Master Benkei.~

Midori sat in her room reading a book as the warm sunlight from her window cast down upon her through the prisms she had hanging in her window. Rainbow shadows glimmered around her room and on her pale skin as a slight tap on her door made her look up from her reading. Her emerald brow cocked slightly wondering who on earth it was. It couldn't be Lanji he tended to be training at this hour hence why she wasn't with him.
She stood and placed a pressed flower in between the pages of her book. 'A Tale of a Knights Life: A in depth look at the regime of Knighthood' She was reading it to better understand the life that Lanji had lived up to this point and the morals and standards that he lived by. She sat her book down in the chair she had occupied and went to the door opening it still dressed in her sleeping clothes she found a scroll on her door. She took it off and using her fingernails opened the seal and then read it.
It was time for the mission it seemed the one she and Lanji had signed up for together. She smiled as she closed her door and sat it on her bed. The warm furs were made just like any normal bed would be when no one was in it. She went to her closet and pulled out a pair of blue jeans and a soft white long sleeve tshirt. She put these over her small toned body before slipping a soft angora sweater over her shirt that was a deep and beautiful red. She slipped her shoes on and grabbed her scarf a black and red stripe that hung gently on her shoulders just incase it was chilly.
She grabbed a rubber band and a black scrunchii before she headed out the door smiling softly. Using her fingers and her nails she pulled her emerald hair up into a pony tail and wrapped the free scrunchii around her wrist in case she needed it for some chance. She ran to her destination, being a faerie she walked and ran everywhere in the forest and had good endurance.
She made it to the place where the meeting was going to take place. She bowed down and opened the door bowing in greeting to Master Benkei. She knew it was proper to show respect. Sitting up she got into the room she knealt closed the door and then made her way to a seat. She knelt on the mat.
"Good day, Master Benkei. My name is Midori." she said softly as she bowed on last time to show all the respect that she could. She didn't speak in Japanese as a member of the staff he should know English and it only seemed right.

(((OOC: This post is not the next step in the mission. Instead of waiting to greet everyone all in one post, which gives an odd effect, I'll do it every 3-4 posts. In reality, I am playing a character, so I sometimes need to post a little more in real-time-like stlye, as normal member characters do))).
Watching as one student walked in, did not bow, and then sat down. Even after his introduction, he did not bow. This was most unpleasing. This man, known as Nanashi, had a Japanese accent anf actually spoke Japanese, and did not just talk in Japanese. One as familiarized could have at least offered the proper introduction. However, Master Benkei bowed, "Konnichiwa. Hajime mashite? Watashi no naeme Benkeisama desu." He replied with a smile, ignoring his first offense. Maybe, after all of the students had arrive, what would come would change things.
Next, Master Benkei watched a current student of his, Tenshu, as he arrived and bowed. "Kon haizen genki wa, Tenshusama." Though a student, Master Benkei knew Tenshu as a master martial artist. Master Benkei bowed, nodded, and smiled.
Soon after, a third student had entered. She had a natural aura about her. Truly, she was somewhat at ease with the Earth. She even bowed, as well. Maybe she was Chinese? For where they were going, there were many that had an aura as she did. However, to Master Benkei's disappoint, she spoke English. She even bowed once more, which pleased him. "Yoroshiku onegai shimasu, please to meet you. I am Master Benkei." He said to her bilingually with a smile, bowing in reutnr, respectfully.
Waiting for the rest of the class, Master Benkei continued to mixed the herbal leaves in his sand. Surely, hopefully, it would not be much longer.
(((OOC: Yes, while seated, you can still bow))).
