Witness

[Lucian]

Lucian turned his head sharply as he heard a noise and saw Raiden and Keiko moving into the backyard hand-in-hand. He tried to make some handsigns to them to either stay where they were or be prepared to defend themselves because the man had a gun. He sighed inwardly as he thought about the situation. Why was it that situations like this always had to go the hard way? Mr. Rote could have simply cooperated and they could have all sat down and discussed the situation like civilized people and at least figured out how to contain the situation. But no, Silabus had to be paranoid and suspicious. So now they were in a bit of a stand-off. They were outside and he was inside, with a gun and they were either going to have to talk him out or take the house by storm. The latter of which Lucian knew would not be pretty.

But then, he felt it. A huge rush of energy, something big was nearby. Lucian wondered if maybe it was the elemental that Silabus had seen in the forest that fateful day. He shook his head a little and then backed up in surprise as Silabus dove out of the window, firing blindly and then making a mad dash for the forest. Lucian was just about to turn back to Raiden and Keiko and tell them that they should follow when he felt a certain small girl's hand wrap around his and start dragging him into the woods along with Raiden. The metal of Lucian's Knight's Armor spell seemed to dissolve off of his flesh as they ran as the spell had run its course.

[The Designer]

Silabus rushed deeply into the woods, his feet unnaturally carrying him as he began to lose ground between him and the Arcane Students. He didn't know what they were, but this entity Silabus felt was a threat which overshadowed the investigators, and Silabus knew they knew it too. As the sun overhead slowly began to descend, day turned to Dusk and the woods suddenly became deathly silent..... Nothing made a sound except Silabus as he ran down the winding trees, looking for this thing he sensed.

"Where is it....where is it" Silabus thought to himself, running down the woods "I know it's here.... I know that God i saw is here. I have... I have to ask it what I am.... Why I can do and sense things I never could before... and.... and...."

Silabus then stopped, as he felt the energy swell up around him, like a whirlpool taking in water.

"Why is all this is happening to me...."

Suddenly, the winds kicked up as trees shook violently. The in a stream far off began to shake uncontrollably, as the "God" Silabus saw began to form. Fire began to form all around to create a torso of sorts as winds quickly came together to create it's legs in the form of what appeared to be a tornado. Light came together to create it's eyes, and for a head water was used. Its right arm was metal, while the other was stone. For hands, they were dark claws, as if hidden within shadow. For feet, the creature had wood, roots that stuck to the ground like a tree. However, the manifestation was only half complete, and Silabus could easily see that. The Elemental was far from it's original size, only half in stature now and with less energy vibrating off it then the night the two met.

"You... You're the God that I saw!" Silabus yelled, both fearful and joyful, as though his answers could be answered.

The Elemental, however, turned to face Silabus. It's voice was echoing, as though the souls of countless people were talking.

"YOU! HUMAN! I REMEMBER YOU!"

With that, the Elemental snatched Silabus within it's metal claws, tightening it's grip around his torso before staring right into the man's eyes.

"I gave you my power to hide my presence... But now since D-13 and the Academy are gone, I think I shall take back what's rightfully mine..."

At first, Silabus was happy that he could have this curse removed... But the more he thought about it as the Elemental prepared it's spell to take back the magic gift, Silabus began to realize how much of a gift this was. By the time Silabus realized that his magic was a gift...

The Elemental already took it away...

He then moved back, pain in his chest as he felt all of his energy gone. The creature then looked at the man, it's mouth opening to reveal what appeared to be countless souls. The Elemental was now to it's rightful size, dwarfing the trees to be a clear sight in the town.

"Now, onto destroy this village.... but for a snack, I think I shall consume your SOUL!"

The Elemental moved in, Silabus was in shock for a moment. All the power he had was gone.... gone... The power he had to resist the Tracers gone, the power that was Humanity's birthright gone (Don't ask how, but Silabus just knew magic was Humanity's birthright). However, before the mouth of the thirty feet monster descended upon him, he felt echoes of power within his soul. As he closed his eyes for a moment, the mouth just above his head, he could feel the energy burning within him. It welled up, as if asking to be released. The Elemental didn't take back all of his powers, and not only that Silabus could feel some of his own powers awaken... Silabus then opened his eyes to the monster...

And sent out a lighting bolt that hit dead on to the creature.

The Elemental moved back, howling in pain as it transformed itself into Fire, Silabus however shot out a stream of water from his palm as he took up his shot gun, firing at the monster before it turned Metallic, reflecting off the bullets. The Elemental then basically pimped smacked Silabus so hard he flew into a tree nearby, hitting with a loud thud before he took cover behind a tree from the Elemental's metal spears, which it just created to fire at Silabus. Cocking his gun, Silabus began to prepare himself for a long fight before he sensed the paranormal investigators coming toward the scene, at which point Silabus stood up and yelled, "GET OVER HERE!" at which point he turned and fired a cadre of bullets and lighting bolts at the Elemental, who was now in wood form.

[Raiden Matsutani]

Raiden was lead along further into the forest. Raiden squiched his eyes to get a better focus of what was going on up ahead. Suddenly there was a bright light followed up by a violent wind making the whole forest shake. Whatever it was...it was big...powerful...and destructive...and the three of them were getting close to it. To asume the worst...it may be the so called...god Siliabus had claimed to see.

Raiden by ear picked up Siliabus from a distance calling the three of them over. Raiden finally spotted Siliabus and went over to where he was. He saw Siliabus was hiding behind a tree, but why.... Raiden then glanced over to see a huge...'force of nature' standing in front of him. "Its...the Elemental..." Raiden said memerized. Raiden then snapped out of it shaking that feeling off.

Before anything else could happen Raiden let go of Keiko hand. He took a few steps back and then stopping. It was apparent that Raiden was assessing the situtation. "Keiko...Lucian...get ready...this being...his power..." he said in a more serious voice. This voice was alittle different from the others, because this was serious and Raiden had to try his best to push his timidness aside.

[The Designer]

Sebastian took out his shot gun as he unloaded a good buck shot into the monster. Reaching into his coat to pull out another round, the monster suddenly knocked him aside with a powerful back fist before turning itself into a giant tree man, with arms of fire.

The Elemental then turned toward Raiden, smelling the demonic aura surrounding him. The monster then slowly walked toward Raiden, before pushing off into a sprint, it's fire fist suddenly extending to try and smack Raiden square on.

[Raiden Matsutani]

Raiden watched Siliabus get smacked aside like a rag dog. A look of worry came over Raiden's face as his attention went back over to the Elemental. Raiden took a few more steps back as suddenly it seemed the Elemental gaze was on him. Suddenly its big fist flew in a head on collision course with Raiden. Without a second thought Raiden strafed left out of the way of the giant fist, but just barely as he could feel the intense heat flying off the fist.

It occurred to Raiden that the main priority may very well be protecting Siliabus. Without a second thought Raiden went on the attack. Raiden saw the body of the elemental was currently wood. Raiden made a fast direct dash for the Elemental's torso claws poised for strike.

[The Designer]

The Elemental watched as Raiden headed toward it, preparing for an attack. The creature soon lowered it's stance, bringing out it's claws as it prepared to strike the Demon, it's cruelly ragged fingers pointing right at his foe, in wood form of course.... As Raiden prepared for whatever he did, the Elemental suddenly sallied forth, bringing it's claws down to try and slash the Demon into pieces....

Or at least, that's what it would've done...

Instead, it got blasted as gun shots rang out, cutting off the wood/claw that was about to come down on the demon. Suddenly, a second shot rang out, hitting the monster at the side. It was Silabus naturally, firing his rounds before he began to reload, moving toward Raiden.

"Here, we got the beast distracted" Silabus said, loading a bullet into the chamber. "I'll firing a few shots, you go ahead and began to slash at this thing"

With that, Silabus lifted his shotgun, taking aim as he fired a round into the now Metal Elemental, causing dents here and there along the beast. He could feel his ammo supply slowly slipping, but he knew this monster would fall before he ran out of bullets and mana...

He just had this hunch.....

[Raiden Matsutani]

Raiden looked over ahead as he dashed towards the Elemental. Raiden should've know an direct attack like this would work out as easily as he thought. Raiden was just about to be struct by the giant descending claw until it shatter over head. Raiden stopped dead in his tracks astonished. What just happened? he said to himself. Raiden looked next to him to see Siliabus. Raiden understood now very well that Siliabus was going to take down this Elemental as well. That was good Raiden felt he needed all the help he could get.

With that Raiden nodded in compliance and darted off again. Raiden once again headed in another straight line towards the Elemental. If the Elemental would reply with a attack head on Raiden would immedieately shift left and come in on his right striking the Elemental with a quick draw of his katana.

[The Designer]

As Raiden rushed forward and Silabus in the back, the Elemental was at a loss. On one side there was this man who had it's power, on the other was this man that just sent out this "demonic" aura.... Whatever, it was, it wasn't good...

However, what the Elemental needed was it's powers. Disregarding the Demon, the elemental sallied forth, rushing right toward Silabus....

Only to be cut right across itself....

Staggering back, three gun shots exploded over the creature's face, prompting it to turn into flame form, in which it swiftly turned toward Raiden and hurled three consecutive fireballs, all of which were homing in one the poor demon...

[Raiden Matsutani]

Raiden being disregarder only made a slight frown on his face that he was being ignored. But it was logical what the Elemental was doing. Raiden noticed that Siliabus contained some powers back at his house when he was fleeing. Raiden can sense it now as well, but it wasn't as strong. The same signature powers are in the Elemental as well. Putting the pieces together the Elemental simply wanted some of its powers back, so going after Siliabus is its main objective.

After quickly analyzing that Raiden turned to give chase after the Elemental, but it seemed it already formed a few actions of it own. Raiden saw the incoming fireballs and strafed left expecting the fireballs to just sail past, but boy was he wrong. As soon as Raiden had did so, the fire balls changed course heading straight towards him. What? he said to himself.

A look of sheer surprise rose over the demon's face. Raiden turned and ran and ducked behind a tree. Of course the fireballs would hit the tree so they ended up following Raiden around the tree. Raiden was sitting on beneath the tree trunk. As the fireballs quickly closed in Raiden couldn’t help, but smile. BOOM!!! The tree busted into flames. From everyone else’s perspective Raiden may have died in a fiery blaze, but he was fine. Raiden had used his substitution spell to switch places with a near by block of wood.


Raiden with a piece of wood in his hands threw the piece at the flaming Elemental hoping to prompt it into its wooden form. Raiden would then slash at the tree with his poison claw.

[The Designer]

The Elemental did indeed turn into wood, absorbing the tree like water taking in more water. However, in a blink of an eye Raiden's attack hit the Elemental, poisoning the Elemental's great wooden frame.... Slowly one could see from the slash marks the decay spreading all over the creature, causing the monster to howl in great pain. As he quickly rushed forth, decaying claw back and ready to slash Raiden into pieces, a lighting bolt shot out, severing the arm of the Elemental.

The shot came from the finger tips of Silabus. Picking up his gun, the man made another hole into the Elemental, prodding it to move toward him, still in wood form.

Silabus himself looked in Raiden's direction, silently signaling to attack the thing from the back as he kept it occupied...

And with that, the man backpedaled as he sent two more rounds at the beast, hitting the chest and head area respectively.

((OCC: I can't help it...WOOHOO!! Tactical take down!! I seriously didn't think the throwing the peice of wood thing would work! ;D))

Raiden smiled slightly at the aspect that his idead worked. Raiden slashed at the Elemental with full force making sure he'd get the poison deep into it. Pulling away Raiden made sure he'd rip a good chuck out of the Elemental as well.

As Siliabus gave Raiden the notion to take the Elemental out from behind, Raiden would rush behind the Elemental while its distracted and attack it with his Power Whip. Raiden got behind the Elemental and whipped his finger making a lightning whip lash out. It made a crackle as it came out. With swiftness Raiden would tried to jump up and lob the Elemental's head off with his whip.

[The Designer]

All the Elemental could do now was focus on Silabus, watching him with it's "eyes" as it continued to rush toward the man, hands up in primal fury. However, suddenly, the creature felt the strain of...something across his neck, pulling as the string cut deeply into the monster's throat, energy bleeding out. In the next moment, his head was off, as energy spilled everywhere. Suddenly, Silabus felt his body radiate with power, the pulse from the creature filling him with magic. The Elemental, meanwhile, slowly shrunk, becoming only 18 feet tall now. Roaring in frustration, the creature was about to make ribbons of Silabus....

Until a missle collided with the monster...

A barrage of bullets, rockets and fire balls suddenly came at the creature, destroying it in a bloody orgy as dozens of Tracers and D-13 soldiers suddenly rushed up next to Raiden and Silabus, protecting them as they continued their assault. Within the next few moments, the Elemental was gone, it's energy stolen by the magical containers of D-13. Turning toward the Academy, the soldiers saluted before marching off.

That was 5 hours ago...

Presently, Silabus as well as Raiden, Lucian and Keiko are in a room somewhere within the massive walls of the Academy. Before them is Kenji Rio and Byron, looking over the four of them as they read the file of Silabus. It seems at least an hour of long talking took place before now, with that expression upon Silabus' and Byron's face.

Slowly, Kenji got up and bowed to the three students, congratulating them on a mission well done, before promptly dismissing them.

Meanwhile, Byron got up and extended his palm toward Silabus, who timidly stuck out his own to shake in return.

"Welcome to the Academy Silabus" Byron said...
