First part of mission: MAKE SURE NO HARM COMES TO THE FOOD!!!The device continued to beat for a few more seconds and then... BOOM!!! The exploded device would detonate and the ingredients of the explosive would make it the equivalent of some sort of explosion spell. If the students didn't run for cover, they'd get severely hurt and/or burned. Seemed that people with adept intelligence and wisdom were behind all of this. ::Outside:: "Is it time?" "Yeah. Let's do this while they're still recovering from the shock..." The Latino guy got on his cellphone. "Yo, it's time to hustle. Time to get paid those C-Notes!" "Aight, let's bounce. We let our guys handle this from here for the time being." The two men quietly made their exit. ::Front of White Castle:: In all the chaos that would ensue, about 8 black Lincoln Navigators, 6 Dodge Pickup Trucks, 2 El Caminos, and 15 Kawasaki Motorcycles quickly pulled up into the White Castle parking lot with loud rap music blaring on the speakers. The music seemed to fit the mood for what was about to happen. At the same time about forty to sixty men approached the White Castle parking lot from the opposite direction. They ranged from 18-32 year olds. They were armed with handguns, shotguns, automatics, switchblades, pipes, bats, knives, chains, and molotov cocktails. The vehicles would quickly circle around the four students at the same time to cut off any possible means of escape. "They the bitches those Order peeps told us to whack?" asked one of the foot soldiers?

Mantis peered around from the tree after the explosion. The other man in a trench coat had sent the device flying, so the damage to the immediate area was minimal. He was about to step out from around the tree, when a fleet of vehicles showed up, blaring obnoxious music.
When they stepped out, it was obvious that there was going to be a huge fight. "So much for not revealing magic...I just hope those Tracers I heard about can cover all this." The bug manipulator said to himself, Julie now whimpering slightly. Being in the academy had been an interesting experience thus far...Now it was becoming outright dangerous.
"Stay here." The young man said to his sister, and put her against the tree.
The boy dug into his mana, calling all sorts of insects and spiders out from their homes. A small army of around five hundred bugs assembled in the parking lot, and at a command, Mantis' 'Summon the swarm' spell, was in full effect. Every single bug charged outward, toward the approaching enemies. "The bugs are on our side!" Was what he shouted to his comrades from around the fairly big oak.
If the men who'd just arrived looked down any, they'd see dozens of bugs beginning to crawl up their legs, and to their vital areas, where the bugs would bite down, causing intense pain and nerve damage.
Mantis Then drew a Dube' throwing knife and slit his thumb. He'd learned blood summoning from a class a couple of days into his stay at the academy, and it enhanced his own summoning capibilities. The young man began chanting in an extremely low voice, his hands palm to palm, the blood from his thumb dripping down to his glove.
What was the bug manipulator about to summon, they'd all find out momentarily.

As the bomb sailed thought the air Machal tracked it with attentive eyes (Darn those predator reactions). The explosion, however, was even more unpleasant. A heavy sour stench of sulfur and gunpowder washed over his nose, blanking his sent of the new attackers. Too far to be caught in the blast, Machal was still knocked back on to his but. Several small cuts and scratches were the result of his attempt to catch himself but the wounds healed almost instantly. Thanks to the bad light though no one notesed the strangeness.
Thankfully, the blast seemed to have also knocked some sense into him. The fall left him standing next to Eric. He also spotted Chephros not to far and he motioned the third to join them. He couldn't seem to spot the forth member or the little girl, perhaps they had already escaped? Machal could only hope.
Machal eyed the circling vehicles as thoughts rushed trough his head. "All right, we can't do anything strange, right?" Machal spoke quietly to his compatriots, "We should look to break through a weak point when the cars stop. Then maybe we could get away."

Having thrown the bomb away, Chephros backed out from under the car as fast as he could and then pushed back against the car hard. As the explosion hit he pushed harder and did his best to keep the Hummer upright. Surprisingly, that worked. Now joining the others with little to no wounds, as hiding against the car protected him fairly well, he looked at the one who had suggested running.
"At this point anyone watching knows something strange is going on. The schools have tracers for a reason, and i'm fairly sure that we can have them clean this up. I mean, I doubt they would figure we would be attacked by a group like this so while we should limit magical exposure, i'm pretty sure we can use it in a life-threatening situation like this. Let's just be discreet."
A rather lengthy speech for him, especially because while he was talking the cars were rounding up and that meant he had to talk a bit faster. Immediately, albeit rather stupidly, he ran at the nearest motorcyclist. As he took his second step his magic initiated and he sent a minor shockwave at the back wheel. If it worked it would send the back wheel back, which could look like the guy moved it, but would also hit the guy and possibly smack him back for a moment. While normally people couldn't cross a parking lot in a moment, the people had circled them, a moment was fine. After that Chephros would simply leap for the guy and attempt to knock him back off the bike, then simply grab any obvious weapons(?). Of course, if the shockwave didn't work, he would probably be under attack, but he would keep running immediately anyway.

AS he was walking away Eric felt a sort of shockwave that he knew only came from the blast, and could feel the presence of magic in his new strange comrades. Heading towards the guy on the ground that had warned everyone of the blast seem pretty strange to him.
This does not feel right.
Turning around as two of his comrades landed close to him, the young enchanter observed the scenery noticing the people in cars showing up, as well as Mantis call an army of bugs to his aid, and then the other two near him wondering what to do next. In a distant tone towards the guy that had warned everyone of the blast Eric said in a calm manner, “Who are you, and tell me what is going on.”
Now directing his attention to the two people in front of him Eric then said stating an observation, “Get the other two over here now. We can’t afford to act hastily in this situation.”
This seems planned out to perfectly. First there are four students sent back to earth to get some food, then the explosion, and now all of these guys wanting to hurt us. Was it a set up the hole time?

“Who are you, and tell me what is going on.”The tall African-American male turned to Eric and shook his head. "This ain't the time for 20 questions. All you need to know is that these peeps got hired by the Order. If you're thinking about having the Tracers clean up, ain't happening... Too many people. Plus snipers all around in hidden places just to take them out." This wasn't the time nor the place to use magic. There hasn't been a trace of magic yet so far. Only science and artifice at this moment. Having been educated, these thugs weren't your typical thugs. Of course they were. But they were trained to expect the unexpected and would be getting paid good money to keep their mouths shut. The person known as Mantis was doing something awfully suspicious. He had a knife and was slitting his hand. In the midst of the chaos, two people stood a few feet behind Mantis. While Mantis was doing something with blood and with the insects, the two men took out a pair of sawed-off shotguns and fired without hesitation at Mantis' back. They hoped it would interrupt what Mantis was doing. "Bugs?! What the fuck?!" yelled one of the thugs. "They just bugs!" yelled another one who was carrying a makeshift flamethrower. Without hesitation, he used the flame thrower and doused the ground in front of him with fire to ward off the bugs coming their way. Watching Chephros run towards one of the thugs on the motorcycle, about 4 thugs pulled out flaming Molotov cocktails. They just downright chugged the cocktails at Chephros as a counter-measure. From another direction, one of the thugs on the motorcycle would pull out a Mack-10 submachine gun and fire at Chephros without hesitation. The man turned to Eric and handed him a PDA. "Y'all need to get the fuck out of this area now... At the moment we can't provide any transportation. You're on 29 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn." The PDA had the entire map of NYC saved on file. "We managed to set up a rendevouz point for you at Coney Island. So haul your asses over there, now!"

With a small frown on his face as he heard the what the African American had just confirm was going on Eric quickly thought of a way that he could get out along with everyone else without blowing his cover.
In a calm collective voice Eric then spoke to the werewolf in disguise, “Ok here is the plan. You take our guest here and run down that alley as fast as possible to Coney Island, and we will follow right behind you.”
Now turning over to the bug boy Eric then shouted real loud, that seemed a bit unnatural since it could be heard by most of the people there, “Hey Buggy! Why don’t you just swarm everyone and follow the big guy?”
Now directing his comment to the little demon Eric then shouted, “Hey Emo! You would want to check your six, and get out of here when everyone is distracted.”
Hopefully the two morons that went charging into battle would hear the plan, Eric only waited now for the werewolf to barge down the alley so he could follow without getting killed.

"Barge down the ally, right?" Machal asked with slight sarcasm, "And what do I do about the row of multi ton vehicles in front of me?" Machal gestured to the vans that had circled them long ago, "No fire works, remember? Unless our mysterious friend here brought a bag full of hand grenades along with the PDA." Machal still wasn't quite sure about the interloper, though he seemed to have the best interests of the group in mind, Machal knew as a wenruru that appearances were often deceiving. Machal would have felt a whole lot better if he could get a good whiff of the man, but his nose still stung with the pungent smell from the bombs.
And of course Machal had been wondering about something else... But there was no time for that. Questions like those were for after there wasn't immediate threat from explosives and bullets.
Suddenly, Machal's ears pricked a little and he was shaken from his thoughts. Even over the obnoxious music and the roar of the vehicles, Machal's sensitive hearing picked up the retort of a pair of shotguns from beyond the ring of vehicles. Machal's voice was laden with concern as he said. "That guy you called buggy? I think he's having his own troubles right now..."

Julie screamed as the shotgun shells plowed into the thick tree. Mantis winced and kept chanting. A grand bug summon would get them out of this in an instant, especially if that bug was a six foot tall wolf spider with an insanely quick acting hemotoxin packed in its fangs.
Just as the bug manipulator was about to slam his palm down to the ground and call up the intended being, the boy who'd gotten the food shouted out and caught Mantis' attention. [Swarm and follow the big guy?...Fine.] Mantis focused the mana he'd gathered into a puddle a few feet away. He looked out around the tree and threw the Dube' knife into the throat of one of the shotgunmen. The water from the puddle then rose and shot toward the other man, and a water bullet blew a hole right between his eyes.
"Come to me...Come." He said quietly, eminating psychic energy. Another bullet shot from the puddle and silenced the man with the flame thrower, allowing the bugs to move freely, about two dozen of them had been scorched to an end. The built up energy was quickly expended as another phalanx of bugs poured into the lot. They began to crawl up the legs of the enemy in the back, and bite, sting, and inject them with venom.
Mantis was using alot of energy, but this situation was becoming extremely problematic. He then fully ran out from behind the tree after scooping up his sister. His left hand was free as he ran toward the tall black man. "I can clear a path of the cars, but we'll need something fast to get out." He said to the boy with the food as well as the black man.

See, molotov cocktails weren't a problem to a demon. They were naturally resistant to fire. Stopping though, Chephros skidded to a halt and simply stopped. The flame enhanced his grim visage as well as allowing bullets to fly in front of him. Seeing as the bug guy was having fun with magic, a bit too much fun though, Chephros forced his closest arm at the gunner hard and sent out a rather strong shockwave that would likely force him from his seat. Then he continued to charge at the biker and would rip him out of his seat then use his demonic claws and start tearing his face, neck, and chest apart.
((....I really couldn't think of much to do there and i've been in a rut everywhere i'm RPing so....yeah...Plus that pretty much puts me in place for the next post concerning me.))

The tall African American man looked around and saw all the chaos going on. Intel told him that these snipers had enchanted sniper rifles with thermal scopes enabling them to spot and locate the Tracers. These mere mortals came pretty damn well prepared.
Seemed that the molotovs didn't work well on Chephros. It was the opposite effect. Chephros was fast. Was it really worth several million for a bunch of people to put their lives on the line going up against something none of them could comprehend?
In this case, the answer was definitely yes. This is what happens when fools rush in to make a quick buck. Back to the point, as Chephros made his dash towards one of the bikers with a murderous intent, three thugs quickly rushed at Chephros from another direction. Instead of molotov cocktails, they brandished fire extinguishers.
"Eat this, motherfucker!!!"
The three thugs squeezed the triggers of the fire extinguishers. Normally, they shoot out CO2 which is carbon dioxide which is to eat up the oxygen and kill fires off. But these were different fire extinguishers. Instead of CO2, the fire extinguishers shot out nitrogen gas.
The tall black man turned to Mantis and saw what he did.
"Nice touch. But don't overdo it. The snipers were given special rifles with scopes letting them detect Tracers. Courtesy of the Order," the black man explained.
The Order was pretty smart to contract outside help. But outside help wasn't all that.
"I can make distraction for you to rush into the alley. The vehicles except for the motorcycles won't be able to chase you there. I'll meet up with you at Coney Island. Before you leave, I got these to give you."
Opening up his tactical vest, the man took out four small black metallic cylinders. He would quickly toss them to the four students. Something told them him they would need these things.
"Here goes..." the man said. He pulled out two smoke grenades and pulled the pins off. Quickly, the man threw them at opposite sides allowing the grenades to shoot out smoke.
"Cover your eyes!" he shouted out next. Quickly, the man pulled the pin off a flash bang grenade. He threw it in a random direction and closed his eyes next. After a few seconds, the grenade went off producing a temporary blinding light.
There were sounds of screams, gunfire, and vehicles crashing.
"Move your asses!!!"

Chephros dove for the biker, grabbed him on the leap and flipped him in front of him to cover the nitrogen gas. Of course, when Nitrogen gas is released at a rapid pace into an enclosed space displaces oxygen, which meant Chephros was lucky the place was an open area. However the air was still displaced and he felt it when it became harder to breath directly after the stuff started spraying out. The guy on the bike was directly in line with the demon, but that only screwed him over now. The nitrogen gas cooled incredibly quickly, meaning the man froze in seconds, thus he was frozen upright and kept Chephros relatively safe as he bolted past.
Out of the parking lot the demon ran. He kept his wings and tail tucked under his overcoat as he still couldn't be seen that much right now. A few feet out he turned around briefly to see the area explode in puffs of smoke as twin smoke grenades went off with timed bursts of the gas. Smirking, he turned and ran directly back into it. He knew where they were meeting, the alley way, and the gas would keep him hidden as he ran. Bursting into the smoke he kept his eyes open through the slightly stining smoke. It had been a while since he had to see through it, but he still made out forms before he hit them and dodged as well as he could, aiming straight for the alleyway. Of course, then he heard the 'cover your eyes' and stopped moving to drop down into a very low crouching position, put his knees to his face pretty much and cover the remaining area with his arms.
The flashbang went off and his eyelids still showed bright red. Then it died and he got up and simply continued running for the alley to regroup with his 'team'.

"Fine" Was all Machal was able to get out before the man threw his 'distraction'. Unfortunate, his blasted instincts told him to watch the small moving object so when the bright light appeared he was caught staring right into it. Fortunately though, Machal had only ever relied on his eyesight for a minimal of things.
Suddenly the world went from black and white, to just white.
"Blast, could have warned us." Machal said as he non-the-less sprang into action. He still couldn't smell very well either, but his hearing was still razer sharp, it also helped that just about every one of the thugs was marking there positions with a plethora of curse words. Machal quickly dipped into his memory and easily pulled up a mental map of the area. One good thing about being part wolf, remembering places and areas was so very easy.
Machal reached back and put his hand on Eric's shoulder. he didn't know whether his companion had been blinded as well, and probably couldn't navigate with the natural profitiancy that Machal could. "Right then, you just stay behind me and hold onto that food. We've got to get out of here."
With that, Machal began to run forward half pulling Eric behind him. He could tell that the path to the alleyway was mostly unblocked. He pinpointed a single tough along the way by the sound of his comments upon the subject of the African American's lineage. A simple shoulder smash would quickly remove that obstacle before moving onto the alley.

Before Eric could really say or do anything the stranger ran off towards the crowd of people to create a distraction. Still holding on to the food Eric just followed his big companion down the alleyway half running on his own strength and half being dragged.
This did not bother him that much because even though he had closed his eyes when the flashback went off he still could not see that well. This was mostly due to the fact that not only does he wear glasses, but it was dark outside and he did not get his dark vision yet. In the back of his mind Eric wondered if he was the only human at the school.

Mantis caught the cylinder with his free hand, but before he could ask was it was, the black man was calling for them to cover their eyes. The bug manipulator knelt down and covered he and Julies eyes in his thick coat. The flash bangs went off and blinded the entire area, but the two of them were perfectly sheilded by the swede trench.
When he unfurled himself and took off toward the alley, he tried to keep a bead on the boy with the food, who was running behind the tallest boy. The boy with the wings and tail was no where to be seen though.
The bug manipulator ran as fast as he could with his sister in his grasp and slid over the roof of a huge truck, where he drew his wakizashi and slit the throat of one of the blinded thugs who was in his way. He followed his team into the alley, the third boy now insight, and asked, "What's Coney Island? And where is it?" Hopefully they were safe for now.
