Robert looked up to see the box, a small bit of excitement rising in himself, but not enough to show in his eyes. As it was to look, he just kept watching her approach, himself somewhat regretful that she would come to use such an action upon him. Maybe she was powerful enough to keep from being killed by Robert at any mere touch, but truly he should not get in the habit. It was just... wrong. An incorrect action.
When Isis removed Robert's glove, the boy, out of both fear and shock, reeled back, making the chair fall down behind him, and himself falling backwards on it. Quickly he scurried under the desk, hand now pushed under the coat's surface by his other arm. He looked up, only seeing now as far as about the teacher's waist, eyes still dark, but now wider than considered generally usual for the child. He breathed heavily, his heart somewhat racing from the recent events.
Robert could nto come to terms on how he felt the teacher would react. She had been generally surprising for the lesson, and one had to wonder if she would just drop the glove and let Robert leave, or if she would further push the subject. The weight on how the scenarios would negatively end were much different, but either way, the conversation would already be considered a bad one, unless Isis could somehow get Robert to be more relaxed.

The boy reeled back knocking his chair over and scurrying under the desk. She smiled softly and folded the glove gently laying it on the table. She crawled under the table and sat beside him but made no move to touch him.
"You know, I think that touch is a good thing. I'm aware of your condition. But I am not afraid of it. However, you seem to be. And that makes you afraid of yourself. But I will not push you because that is not my job." she said with a kind smile.
She summoned a blood red butterfly to flutter about underneath the table it glowed like a lightning bug only its light was red and enabled her to see the young cowering boy.
"Now, I won't touch you. But would you please answer my question. I would like to know if you were truly happy to pet that mouse this morning or if I saw incorrectly. If you were I may have a gift for you. Something you might enjoy." she said with a soft smile.
"I'm not going to hurt you boy. And I can assure you that you cannot hurt me regardless of how much you think so. So all I'm asking for is a little trust. That's all. Think you can do that for me?" she asked softly.
Robert looked at the floor for a minute, knowing that he shouldn't let Isis too close, but also, he wished not to anger her by being completely disobedient. For the time, he would listen to what she had to say. Of course, he became slightly curious of the red butterfly, but still kept to himself.
When Isis finished, Robert was silent. He thought for a moment, two sides of him fighting, but sadly, the battle already being decided. The forceful years were much stronger than desire could even hope, and the boy closed his dark eyes before replying.
"No such a thing could have come to be from my self. I am alone, and there would be no reason for myself to take a risk of anything otherwise."
After this, Robert would simply sit there beneath the desk, waiting incase the teacher wished to say anything else. He had decided for himself already that he didn't want anything else like the incident with the rat to happen again. He had a touch of death, something he had mistakenly forgot. But, it may had been for the better. He would think more thoroughly before such an encounter presented itself again.

Isis nodded softly. She could understand where years of no touch or contact with living things would indeed make you warry to accept one. But she wasn't a cruel woman. Though she liked to tease her male students she certainly wasn't one for torture and all that internal conflict type thing. Her past was bad enough without making her future just as bad. She sighed softly as she pulled the box towards her.
"That is an awful shame. And here I thought that he would finally have a home. I home with a little boy that would play with him, feed him, treat him like he should be treated. You see this poor thing is cursed. Has been since the day his was born." she said as she gently opened the cage and the cutest puppy in the world.
"You see, this is a puppy that was sent to me to take care of. To find the perfect owner for and I think you're him. Why? Well let me tell you of this puppy's curse. Mana Infusion is what they call it in technical terms but basically what it means is his small little body creates way too much mana and if not constantly drained he gets ill. He wouldn't die, maybe become a very fat and lazy puppy, but he has too much on a daily basis to really be the happy playful puppy he wants to be. There is no way to kill this puppy because, as the name suggests, his mana overflows. For every point spent a new replaces it no matter the drain." she explained.
"I never gave him a name. Only just got him last week really and I've been draining his mana off into potions and inhalers for the academy's use. But I've been searching for someone that could take him, and give him a home. Make him a happy puppy and give him the love he deserves so that he can love back." she said. She gently reached over and placed the puppy in Roberts lap. The puppy curled up in his lap and started licking at his hand happily. Not one thing happening to the small black puppy.
"See look it there, he likes you already." she said as the puppy lay his nose underneath Roberts hand and looked up at him with those adorable eyes that begged him to take him home.
OOC: Puppy cannot die. If you don't want him that is fine give him back to Isis. But this is a puppy and companion for Robert that he cannot kill. You can use it for character development and as your pet. He is not magical. Puppy is not going to become a familiar and have stats or the like. Merely an IC friend. You cannot drain the puppy to death. That is the point
