TO RAIDEN:
"Interesting... very interesting..." I said as I approached my student, my red clad form walking with grace. "Never before have I seen a student assume an animalistic form. Demons, the other sex, I thought I had seen it all... but now a wolf stands before me with the ability to talk... Well 'Nanaki,' it is time to begin the lesson." I said, laughing inside, wondering if he caught the reference to Final Fantasy. Yes, I was a demon, and yes, I enjoyed video games... Don't JUDGE the Judicator!!
"On with the lesson. A soul shield is what will protect your spirit from the very spells you cast. Now, the first step... Clear your mind. Open yourself to learning. Here's the tricky part... When attempting to clear your mind in this subconscious realm, your memories themselves will impede your attempts. You and I will find this landscape changing, showing things of your past... But you must try your hardest to clear them away... Keep this in mind though... This part is important..."
*I took a moment to snap my fingers and have a walking cane appear, which I grasped firmly.*
"If an event weighs heavily enough on your spirit, it can become tangible in this realm. So, keep your bad memories under control... If you don't, a potential enemy from your past could very well get in that punch he's been waiting so long for..."
*At that point, I drew out the blade from the cane-sword. It would be my only means of safe self-defence.
"Using magic in this world could permanently damage your spirit, destroying your inner self in the real world... In essence... Use magic, and die...
Begin the lesson... Clear your mind..."

"Not quite, but at some point during my life I stopped getting suprised by changing apearances. By the way, nice outfit."
Ketsuki got up from the bed and walked over to the window.
"I really like this place. At least nowdays I do. If you look over there you can see the "proper schoolboy" that owns this room. He's getting dressed for a big fight tonight. He'll almost commit murder to you know. Ah the memories."
Ketsuki turned to Halsaphea.
"But I guess that you didn't just feel like hearing my memories. You're here to tell me what to do, right?"

OOC- As you have all probably noticed, it's the same descriptive paragraph... Just because he's in different minds doesn't mean he has a different speech planned for each. XDD

"Clear my mind, clear my mind. Sure, can do."
Ketsuki began to try with clearing his mind. It was harder around here than he thought with everything that reminded him of his past. He had to work hard not to remember anything that could possibly be bad for him, though it wasn't much it would be really troublesome if any of those things that he had problems with would appear. Such as the demon he had killed as an angel.
He had barely remembered it before it broke though the door. It wasn't a very highly ranked demon, but neither was Ketsuki, and now he didn't have his holy powers. Ketsuki decided to make the best possible out of the situation and jumped out through the window and quickly took air. Since he wasn't the only one with wings the other demon quickly gained on him since he flew backwards. Once the altitude was right their fight began. The demon being the only one armed had the advantage, on top of that Ketsuki couldn't use magic thus he wouldn't be able to change into half snake form or anything else. Which would definitley pose a problem.
For several minutes he kept dodging and barely hit back at the demon. Ketsuki lost several feathers from his blackened wings and bled from a few small cuts before he finally managed to land a kick on the demons arm so he droped one of the three swords he was carrying. Ketsuki caught it and blocked the other two sword before he quickly cut of the arm of the demon.
At least he doesn't seem to have learned anything since last time.
Ketsuki thought as he kept fighting the demon, now at advantage since he was older when you counted the years he'd been an angel and the experience of fighting that had given him. Ketsuki realised that the demons only advantages up until now had been that he was stronger, had more limbs and had been armed. Now Ketsuki had removed two of them and the fight seemed to be going his way at last. He looked down and realised that they were fighting right above the gangs fight now and that he incidentaly was on the winning side.
"Nice to see you again. To bad you'll have to leave."
Ketsuki said to the demon as he proceded with cutting of the limbs and finally head of the demon. Then he flew back to the room to meet up with Halsephea. He kept holding the sword as he knew that the demon he just fought was the least of his problems and he wanted to make sure not to get into that much of a disadvantage against a stronger foe.

*The next few moments of my visit in Ketsuki's mind were... interesting... None had really had a battle that involved before... But it seemed that this child had a very disturbing past. I raised an eyebrow at the bloody sword he carried with him upon his return.*
"Alrighty... How about we try that whole mind clearing thing again, but this time, without the demons and bloodshed, mkay?"

Raiden's ears twitched as he could hear the distinct sound of foot steps coming off from a far. Raiden gaze shifted in the direction to see who or what was coming. Raiden saw some suave looking man walk up and comment on Raiden's appearance. It appeared the guy knew who Raiden was and what he previously looked like, which Raiden found to be kind of strange simply because he's never seen this guy before. It then occurred to Raiden that it was his teacher Halsphea. Simply because the talk about the soul shield made it an logical conclusion.
It was rather strange though...if memory serves Raiden correctly he remembers his teacher as being a big imtimidating demon...but here...he looks like your daily average human. This must be the inner Halsphea... Raiden said to himself, If he looks like that...then this must be the inner me.
Raiden simply nodded at what he had explained. Keeping on task Raiden liked the idea of what the soul shield was about. So learning this would prove great. But Raiden was more worried about the fact that mental things Raiden thinks up made end up happening in the reality. Well, Raiden wasn't the person the fear things just like that so he would go on head first without any such regrets.
With that Raiden closed his eyes and began the process of clearing his mind. A a minute passed and Raiden felt he was close to closing his mind from any thoughts, but then a small glimmer of darkness remained untouched by Raiden's will. Suddenly the setting changed to a village set on fire. There were dead bodies all over the place. Raiden horrified by the site found it hard to even look around. This image was so distrubing only because it was familiar. This was the night Raiden attacked the village and slaughter its inhabitants.
Raiden then looked up when he come pick up a distinct cackle of someone near by. Raiden darted of in that direction rounding a corner of a house to come see a distrubing site. A humaniod like figure was haunched over a dead body feasting on it. Raiden took a few steps back, but stepped on a twig. The humaniod figure looked up and looked around to see who was there. Its ruby orbs turned its gaze on Raiden. It smiled a toothy grin and wiped its mouth as it stood up. That's when Raiden let out a mental gasp as he saw who the person was. It was himself 400 years ago. It had the same appearance Raiden had when he was awake. Except there was a dark air to this guy. A purplish aura flowed off the guy evidence of it power. Without sparring another second the dark Rai lunged at Raiden with great speed. Raiden unprepared dodged, but just barely. What does this mean? he said to himself. All kinds of confusion was running through Raiden's head, but it was alittle harder to display such emotions while in this wolf form.

Ketsuki smiled as Halsephea spoke. Even though he'd had some trouble with the demon it hadn't been so bad to beat him again.
"Ok, no demons and bloodshed. I'll leave the good parts out then."
Ketsuki closed his eyes and began to clear his mind. This time he managed to avoid thinking about his past and those he had betrayed, tricked or stolen from. After a few minutes his mind was more or less entierly blank.

TO RAIDEN: *The scene took a drastic turn, the landscape becoming a bloodbath. Buildings were burning, people were dying, blood was spraying... Why are the pasts of my students so horribly fucked up?!
Then, from the village, came a creature that attacked Raiden, but the creature looked JUST like him... Wow... This is weird... It was Raiden's job to defeat his past self, not mine. I stayed away and watched the action unfold.*
TO KETSUKI:
*With a grin, I realized that his mind was cleared. The house we were in faded to a serene white, and not a sound came from anywhere. Ketsuki was the first of my students in the class toa ccomplish the task.*
"Excellent job Ketsuki. Now, WAKE UP!" I yelled, slamming my cane sword into the white ground, sending forth a shockwave that would break the elixir's hold on him and awaken him, as well as myself.

Raiden noticed that teacher was watching, but that was it. Raiden slightly understood that, it was Raiden's problem to fix not someone else's. Raiden's gaze went back over to the dark Rai. Raident though was shocked because once again he was gone. W-Where did he go? he said looking around in all directions. A suddenly a loud shout came from at top. Raiden looked up to see the dark Rai coming down from the sky. Raiden went into action again and would dodge. Just a it seemed like he had gotten away, Raiden got yanked backwards like a dog on a leash. Was on his side when the dark Rai had walked up to him. It seemed that the long blue scarf wrapped around Raiden's furry neck was caught by the Dark Rai and pulled him back.
Suddenly the Dark Rai kicked Raiden in the stomach knocking back. Raiden rolled a couple times from the power the demon put behind the kick. The demon covered the distance he kick Raiden in an instant. Suddenly the demon held his claw high in the air and then brought it down to strike Raiden. Raiden had seem this happen before, infact he was the one who did it before. Raiden anticipating this suddenly got on his all fours in an instant to lunged at the Dark Rai sense he was so close.
Plut! Plit! Raiden got contact and sinking his fangs into Dark Rai's arm. The demon howled in pain as Raiden bit even harder using the strenght in his canine jaws. The Dark Rai suddenly start failing his arm trying to shake off the large wolf. There was a faint snap and a large shrill in pain. Raiden had broken Dark Rai's fore arm. Dark Rai gathered up the strength to kick Raiden off. Raiden flew back, but landed on his feet. That instant that Raiden was about to be struck down, gave Raiden enough reason to fight back. But that wasn't the only reasons, Raiden felt that if he could defeat this part of himself in this reality, he could do it for real in the other.
The Dark Rai in raged pointed a finger at Raiden. Raiden knew exactly what was going to happen next. There was a rather loud crackle accomapnied with a shrill of thunder. Suddenly lightning spew out from Dark Rai's finger tip. Raiden quickly strafed left dodging the attack. Raiden suddenly darted off towards Dark Rai with great speed. Dark Rai furiously shot more and more lightning bolts in Raiden's direction. Raiden dodged then all flyinh past each one with great speed.
Suddenly Dark Rai with one arm formed a small ball of circulating electricity in the palm of his hand. He then raised his hand in the air as the ball grew to the size of an aerobics ball. Raiden never seen anything like that before. Suddenly Dark Rai launched the ball towards Raiden. Raiden himself launched himself into the air over the balls landing point escaping. Raiden still on a direct course for Dark Rai came straight at him from the skies. And with a finishing action landed on Dark Rai's chest, and sunk his jaws into the the neck of Dark Rai. As soon as that was done Raiden back away from the corpse of his former self and walked away without giving it a second glance. Raiden felt relieved only because this was over with.
Raiden walked back over to teacher and simply sat in a sitting postition. Raiden was ready to try again and focus.

*I watched the battle unfold, and the ending was NOT what I expected... Imagine if you will, Satan himself versus Cujo... and Cujo winning... Well... ahem...
Anyways, when all was said and done, the wolf student of mine began concentrating again. I grinned and looked on, knowing he would have his mind cleared in no time. Would he be the second to finish?*
"You've almost got it clear Raiden." I said as the village began fading to white. "Keep going!"

Ketsuki had enjoyed the blank state. It had been alot calmer than the rest of the world so he'd probably return there when he felt like having a vaccation. Then he was brutaly awoken and found himself in the classroom again. By the front desk he saw his teacher in his normal form sitting.
Seems like I made it. That wasn't so hard after all.

TO CHEPHROS AND KETSUKI:
*Now, with Chephros' mind blank, he would awake with a jolt, just as Ketsuki. Now, with a bit more of my spirit back, I could speak to the children who had awoken.*
"Ketsuki, Chephros, Alan, Berrana, welcome back." I said, addressing all the students who had awoken. "Once the other students awake, we can begin the next step."

Raiden took in the words of encourage from his teacher and focused harder on his objective. Raiden very well wanted to conquer this part of the lesson, just to prove he’s a very well focused student who doesn’t want to quit. Slowly the only surroundings of Raiden’s Edo period life faded into the distant. White enclosed the whole space around giving everything a better feel. Suddenly Raiden’s eye’s blinked open as he sat up. It seemed that Raiden had made it back to the classroom. Raiden wiped his forehead and let out a sigh of relieve. That’s when Raiden looked at the palm of his hand, and noticed he looked like his regular old self. Raiden wondered why he looked like that in that reality. Was it maybe a future form he might discover once he’s more experienced with himself? Who know’s?

TO ALL:
"Excellent," I began. "You have all completed the task." I surveyed the classroom and saw all the students slowly gaining back full consciousness. "A few things before we continue. Number one, you will notice that in your times of peril, I did nothing. That is so you can conquer your own demons, so to speak. Number two... Jeremy," I began, looking to a student. "If I ever enter your mind again, keep in mind that I will appear as a human... So don't fucking shoot me next time..." I gave the student a cold glare. During my time in his mind, he thought my human form was a threat, so he shot me... "And number three... it is time for the next phase of our studi-"
RING
"Oh... well, that took longer than I expected... Class dismissed. The follow-up class will be done on Tuesday. I expect to see you all there. That is when we will study defence against demons. Good day class." I said, excusing them.

EXP:
Raiden - 2 Ketsuki - 2 Chephros - 2 Jason - 1
You all now have soul shields. This means that simple demonology magics cannot effect you. This of course excludes anything casted by a master, such as Halsephea.
