Okie dokie so this was kinda hard for me since I basically only listen to Christian music .. so finding good songs that go with some of mine and others characters was a real challenge as you might expect. But here's what I got so far...

...just let me talk. I think that the Arcane Academy needs a song itself. I'm not trying to impose all of my thoughts here, but I think if Arcane had to have a song, it would be this one. It's kind of a weird song, atleast the beginning is. It's 36Crazyfists, so you can't understand what Brock says. It's not screaming death metal, just click it. It's not emo, atleast I don't think. Tell me if you honestly think it's emo. If you're still reading up to this point, thank you for taking the time to read a double post.

A school theme, huh? Well... so far I disagree with the past three selections provided, but I think it's mostly cause everyone has a different idea of school in general. To some people it's more up-beat, and to some it's just a chore. Sorry, but I don't think I got anything to add to the themes list. I'm so ashamed!

I like Mayon's choice. The way I would think of it is if Arcane was TV show, what would be the intro song, what would be the outro song. I like Mayon's for an intro. For an outro, the very ending to "The Great Descent" by 36Crazyfists seems fitting. The very end is soft guitar and a bit slow. It'd just be the scene showing Onira falling from Babylos. We wouldn't show him on impact, but the lyrics to the ending go something like...

"This is the great descent I won't be running for the exit..."

...played twice. Roll credits at the same time, close up on the side of Onira's face, then full body view, then close up directly in his face, zooming out and fading into a black screen with whatever company produced this show. Just my thoughts, probably won't happen though, unless someone wanted to help me wit hthe animation.

Sorry to turn away from the opening theme song idea for a moment, but I think I found a good theme song for Xeryth. It's not the perfect one, not by any means, but I think it's good to detail the conflict he has between his soldier's mind and his child's innocence. It's "Free Fall Without a Parachute" by the band Senses Fail.

And yes, you probably could consider this emo, so be warned. However, the link comes with a nice Cowboy Bebop AMV. Of course, I'm on my home computer now, which is so slowed down by junk and spyware it ceased to be funny, so I haven't seen it.

It's about the best I could come up with for a song, without resorting to that oh-so-cliche "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace. Of course, that's 3DG for you. Good music, but terribly generic lyrics. Anyway, I'm ranting, enjoy.
