Jyo smiled and gave a small wave in greeting and decided to let Ziare speak. He noticed the nickname ad wondered if it had any meaning as a nickname was normally shorter then a person's real name.
He smiled and gave a nod and a small polite bow when introduced and ten he saw a woman that had to be Ziare's mother come out.
"I take it we should go say hello. Do I get to still hold your hand." He asked with a grin grasping her hand and walking up the path to meet Ziare's mother. Well sink or swim here I go He thought as they walked up the path.

Ziare took Jyo's hand and though blushing under her mother's scrutiny she was prepared for Jyo to meet her. You could see Quint peeking out from behind her mother scared and always shy until he was comfortable. He was dark like Mylie but with straight hair.
With Mylie as their segway Ziare and Jyo walked up. Her mother was standing with a smile on her face but with a serious look in her eyes as she saw Jyo holding Ziare's hand. But Ziare was seventeen and too old to be worried about holding hands. Ziare and her mother had never been terribly close so there was no extravagant huggins sessions just a nod from each other them.
"Momma you look so well." Ziare said and walked up to her giving her a small peck on the cheek. Ziare's mother smiled sweetly still keeping an eye on Jyo.
"I'm glad you've kept your hair, Zianna." her mother said smiling and running a hand through Ziare's now longer locks. "The city life hasn't seemed to change you much, unless.." she trailed off eyeing Jyo. Ziare smiled and turned back to him.
"Momma, this is Jyo. Remember I told you about him." Ziare said taking Jyo's hand once again and returning to his side.
"Yes, yes the boy who has stolen my Zianna's heart. How do you do? I'm Nyrie and this here behind me is Quint, he'll liven up once he knows you don't mean any harm." Ziares's mother said walking up and giving Jyo a good pat on the shoulder. "You best watch after my daughter or you'll have a horde of brothers and me to answer to." she said with a laugh and walking back towards the house motioning for them to follow.
Ziare adopted a pouty face and turned to Jyo.
"You know I sure was hoping for a strapping young lad named Quint to greet me at the gate." she winked and sighed. "Seems he is too busy for his old buddy Ziare."

"It is a great pleasure to meet you. I've been looking forward to meeting you for a while." He said giving them a bow. He wanted to be on his best behavior for this meeting.. "And have no fears. I'll do my best to make sure she's wel taken care of. Though she fends for herself well enough." He said with a smile.
He gave a polite nod of greeting when Quint was introduced. "Good to meet you." he said. he looked over at Ziare as she spoke. "Oh you were expecting him.?" He said as they all started heading to the house.

Quint followed behind them still unsure of what was going on. Ziare smiled at him behind her and returned to Jyo.
"Come on I'll show you my room." she said smiling.
They walked in and her mother was already at the stove working on tonights dinner and Mylie was sweeping the floor. Ziare smiled it seemed not much had changed.
"I'm going to take Jyo to my room, we'll be right back." Ziare said with a smile taking Jyo's hand and leading him up the stairs and then to a pull down ladder. She climbed up the ladder and up into her room. It looked as though she hadn't left and it was dusted and everything.
The room was natural wood but aged and soft. Her bed stood small against the wall in the far corner it's white quilt still laying as though it was ready for her return any time. A small vanity was set up and painted white with a small mirror across from the bed. Her wardrobe and desk stood on the wall with the door and a rug to keep thier feet warm in the cold.
"This is it." she said opening the small attic window to let some light and fresh air blow through the sheer curtains.

"looks comfy. Much more...Inviting then the rooms at the Academy. I bet you like it in here." he said smiling. It was inded a nice room. Well the whole house was nice just from what he saw. It wasn't a house that stood out. but it was the kind of house a person could easily grow to like.
"I can understand why you were homesick. This place is lovely. I don't think I'd be happy just taking off for a while leaving it behind." he said.

Ziare smiled and took the bags from Jyo's arms setting them down on the rug. She then embraced him putting her head on his chest.
"It's so much better and more beautiful now that you are here with me." Ziare said still holding on to Jyo.

Jo hugged her back. "Well I'm glad there are things I can still make seem better. Always a nice thing." he said with a smile. They stayed like that for a while before he spoke again. "So ae you going to show me around a bit more?' he asked pulling away slightly but keeping his arms around her as he looked down intoher eyes.

Ziare smiled and answered...
"Of course there is much to see." she said excited. "I'll make us a lunch and we'll go out around for a while and come back for dinner you can meet my brothers and other sister then." she said taking his hand and making for the ladder.
She climbed down the ladder and then down the stairs coming into the kitchen once more. Her mother was gone doing some other chore and Ziare quickly made them each a sandwhich from the cold box in the corner. It was old fashioned they had no refridgerator and no electricity so the cold box was kept cold by ice.
"All right I'm ready." she said sweetly and put the sandwhiches in a bag for later and taking Jyo's hand drug him towards the door. "I'll give you the grand tour of the house before dinner."

Jyo smiled as he was practically dragged through the house. Any family member he saw he waved to and gave a poilte nod to as well. the two of them headed out for thier lunch and he spoke up. "Are you sure they wont mind us just taking of. I mean we just got there. I was going to ask a bit more about you all. I guess I'll just have to wait. Well except for one. You don't have to answer. But where did the nickname come from?" He asked.

Ziare decided to answer the first part of the question leaving the last part til later. She heard her brother snickering in the background and turned to glare at Quint.
"No they won't mind. We won't be gone that long and they all have chores yet to finish we'd be in the way or put to work and if you want to see the area work is not the way to go." she said smiling. "Tomorrow you'll get to spend a lot more time with them except the time at Grandpa Becketts."
She stopped pulling Jyo along once they were outside and she kicked a few stones out of the way. She tucked her hair behind her shoulders and took a deep breath.
"You've never asked me my middle name." she said still looking at the ground. "I have two nicknames, neither of which you use. You can I don't really care but you haven't yet. My name is Ziare Annabelle Langely. So if you take my usual nickname of Zi and then add Anna you get Zianna which is what I've been called for a long time. My father was the one along with the villagers who started Zi." she said still not meeting his face. "I don't mind Zi, but Zianna...well."

"I see." he said now knowing the answer was simple. it was true he had never asked her middle name. Nor had she asked him. it was a matter that just hand't come up between them. "Well now I know." he said chuckling.
"So it's probably obvios but it's clear you have known the man you dub grampa. I was wondering if he was an old frind of your whol family." He said as they sat down and got things set up to eat.

Ziare smiled as she sat down and handed Jyo her sandwhich.
"Well yes in a way. He is of no relation to us but he has always been exceedingly kind to me. I call him Grandpa because the name suits him well. My grandparents died many years ago and he just took me under his wing. We grew really close while my father was ill and he watched over me took care of me and listened to me no matter what my mood." she said smiling. It was much easier to think of her father after Jyo had helped her move past her pain.
"He was like a solid rock for me in a time when I needed a lodestone so to speak." she said taking a bite of her sandwhich.
"So got any nicknames, and what is your middle name by the way?" she asked smiling.

"Sounds like a great guy. I'll be glad to know him a bit better as well as the rest of your family." he said and took a bite out of his sandwich. "Well I don't have any nicknames. Mabey troublemaker as I liked to get into things but that was about it. My middle name is Hanara. From my father's side. it was his father's name." he said.

Ziare smiled.
"You can get to know him better at lunch tomorrow a very nice man. Hanara, that is an unusual name does it have a special meaning oh troublemaker." she said leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. She was more than happy to be home and it made everything better that Jyo was here and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
"Oh, and no worries I have a feeling you'll get enough of my brothers tonight." she said mischeviously.

"I doubt getting through them will be a problem. As for my midle name. I don't think it has any meaning besides it was the name of my grandfather." he said with a shrug. He didn't know if any of his names had meaning eally. e had never run across any when he looked.
