Lexi could only roll her eyes as she shoved things in her bag. It was camping. Sure she wanted to go.. sorta.. maybe.. anyway it didn't matter. She had told Xav she would go and so she would. Why am I stringing that poor boy along? She asked herself. Just how in the bloody hell had she gotten herself into this? It was that damned happy kid. Damned clingy too.
And now she was spending a weekend in the blasted wilderness. Probably sleeping in beds of leaves and eating bugs underneath the nearby log. *shudder* Damn him. Damn Xav to hell and back she would show him where those bugs could go! Yet, she got to take Drake. Xav had yet to meet her new puppy though the miracle of magic was well trained and would probably try to bite him immediatly. She chuckled inwardly. All this mental thinking was only serving to get her mind off of what was really bugging her.
She was excited. Blasted excited!! As much as she wouldn't admit it.. no never would she admit she was excited, she really was. But she wasn't going to tell Xav that. Nope that boy would think she was miserable to the end. But in a way she was also nervous.
She closed her bag and was now ready for Xav. He was supposed to come get her. Pick her up here so they could get this trip of boredom and disgusting habits out of the way. She sat in her leather chair and waited for him.

Xavier stood back with a satisfied grin as he finished packing everything away into a nice neat little walking bundle. He grunted gently as he picked up and slung it over his shoulders. It was a little heavier than necessary but he had packed a few extra things, some modern conveniences. He was fairly certain Lex wouldn't be into the whole rustic, living off the land type camping that he enjoyed so much. So he had brought a long a few things for her to use incase things got uncomfortable for her. One of the primary things he had gotten for her was a tent, a rather big one too. Xavier had a distinct feeling that Lex wasn't going to be into the whole sleeping under the stars thing at all.
He grinned again as he started for the door, Birazcir trotting at his side. Xavier was very excited about this camping trip. He wanted to say it was mostly because he was getting to spend a weekend in the outdoors after having been cooped up inside for the past week or two. Under that initial, obvious excitement was another kind of excitement. He was excited to be alone for a weekend with Lex.
Xavier quickly made his way towards her room. His journey was shortened by the use of the elevator she had overlooked on her first day here. He chuckled remembering how pissed she had been to have climbed seven flights of stairs only to find out there had been an elevator there the whole time.
He knocked gently on the door as he stood outside waiting for her to answer. Birazcir sat at his side, wagging his tail excitedly. Biz couldn't wait to get back out in nature again, so far the only times he had been able to get out was to hunt. But now just to be out in nature again for the weekend just for fun, it would be a welcomed change of pace.
Lexi was curled up in the giant soft and leather chair in her room. It was so comfortable and she was tired having gotten little sleep from being up all night worrying about this blasted day. Damn Xav was not worth all this trouble. Well...
NO! I'm so not going there. She curled up in her comfy seat and dozed off gently. Sleeping peacefully and hugging her bag to her chest. She was also fully armed. All three bows and several quivers. She was ready to practice and to kill.
The door was knocked on and she jolted awake. She rubbed her eyes and growned slightly. Already Drake was off the bed and growling and barking and whomever lay on the other side. She knew who it was though. Only one person ever knocked on her door.
"Down Drake." she said and the dog whined but fell silent.
She put her backpack on her shoulders and walked over to the door opening it. She took up Drake's leash and smiled at Xav.
"Hey Xav." she said as she stepped out of her room and closed it behind her locking the door behind her and looking over at Xav. "Ready to get this thing over with?"
Xavier chuckled gently as she opened the door, she had a puppy now. Well damn if she had wanted a pet Xavier could have gotten her one, he was a druid for crying out loud. Regardless he grinned and stooped down to scratch the dog's head. Drake barked happily, Xavier was always good with animals even before becoming a druid. Birazcir trotted forward a little and sat infront of the dog. Drake growled playfully and attempted to wrestle with Biz. One stern look from Birazcir though and Drake whimpered, hiding behind Lex's leg.
"Tch, Biz he only wanted to play," Xavier said, shaking his head. Birazcir only regarded him cooly out of the corner of his eye, "You know how annoying pups can get, this one is no exception," Biz said, still keeping an eye on Drake.
Xavier gave Lex a quick once over. She really was good looking, though Xavier didn't think he'd ever be able to tell her that without getting an arrow in the ass. He did want to compliment her but he doubted she would let him. At least not without being sarcastic or rude about it. He grinned a little, her constant verbal jabbing was rather endearing it just took a little while to get used to it.
"Aw c'mon don't be a grump. I saw the smile on your face, you're as excited about this as I am," he said with a grin, "Let's go!" he announced cheerfully as he started down the hallway, "Oh I didn't think you'd want to do the whole sleeping under the stars thing so I got you a tent," he said as he hit the button for the elevator and waited for it to arrive, "I hope you don't mind," he said with a hopeful grin.
Xavier seemed to actually like Drake despite the growling and teeth showing. But when the dog barked happily Lexi gave him a look that could kill. Drake seemed to shy back.
"Traitor." she said with a growl.
Biz didn't seem to like him and though the small puppy hid behind her he kept peaking around looking at Biz. She rolled her eyes. She knew that Drake was a puppy and very eager to play. She bet that Biz would warm up to him in no time.
They walked down the hallway and Drake was on his best behavior. He knew what happened when he wasn't and so he behaved himself. He had actually not taken too long to train and now he was very well behaved. Especially when Lex was around.
"Yeah? Awww you treat me like a princess. I better watch out or you'll have packed me silk pjs and a curling iron." she chuckled as the elevator doors opened and she stepped inside. She was actually happy he had packed a tent and she even took his hand when she leaned up against the wall non chalantly in the elevator.
"So where are we campin? And if you say the woods.. well you know what happens." she said with a smirk as she turned her hazel eyes on her prom date.
Xavier chuckled and shook his head. Treating her like a princess, apparently that's what she thought being nice enough to think ahead for her was. He grinned, he didn't mind treating her nicely like that though. Apparently she seemed to be warming up to him because she wasn't nearly as sarcastic about it as he had anticipated she would be.
"Hm silk pjs, and here I thought I had thought of everything," he said with a grin and a gentle laugh as they stepped into the elevator.
He stepped in after her, leaning up against the wall beside her. He smiled faintly as she took his hand in hers. Didn't want to show her that he liked it too much or she might not do it ever again. But then again he did like it, being close to her like this gave him an odd thrill. He squeezed her hand gently with a smirk as heard her question, phrased in a very Lex-like way.
"Yea, yea I know...wrong answer and I get an arrow in the ass. Actually me and Biz found a nice clearing right outside the woods at the edge of the city," he said with a grin, "It's right by a river too, actually it's the perfect camping area," he said chuckling as he looked down at Drake, "You trained your dog well," he said with a nod of admiration as he petted the little pup on the head again, "But I think he likes me more," he said with a smirk and chuckle.
"My dog does not like you better." she said coldly as she looked down at Drake and nodding the little puppy moved over and curled up at her feet. "See."
She couldn't help but be happy though. She had felt a bit more light hearted than she had ever before. She didn't want to sleep with bugs but at least she wouldn't have to now that he had brought her a tent. She leaned against him for the duration of the elevator opened.
"So what kind of food are we eating. And I'll tell you if you tell me I'm cooking bugs over a campfire I'll let you impale yourself on an arrow and save me the trouble." she said with a grin.
She kept his hand and with Drake's leash and she stepped out of the elevator. It wasn't far from the elevator to the front doors and they made it there soon. She got them outside and looked around the sunlight making the maroon highlights in her black hair shine a bit.
"So lead the way Xav." she said looking over at him.
Xavier laughed a little as she looked down at Drake, talking in a cold tone. She probably had that dog at her beckon call, just like she had him. Xavier didn't mind though, he got a little more out of the deal than the dog did probably.
He grinned and slipped his arm around her waist as she leaned against him in the elevator. He chuckled as she told him he had better just impale himself on an arrow to save her the trouble if he answered her question wrong.
"Well I didn't know how interested you'd be in hunting your own food so I backed some stuff for us to cook once we get out there," he said with a grin as he stepped out of the elevator beside her, his arm still around her waist, "You can eat that stuff though Biz and I are going to hunt our own food," he said with a grin as Biz barked happily at the idea.
"Ahh finally a chance to sink my fangs into some meat with my old hunting pal Xavier at my side," Birazcir said happily, with a hint of nostalgia in his voice as he padded ahead of the pair next to Drake. The little puppy attempted to stray closer to Biz but was always met with a barely audible growl that kept him at a comfortable business, "Lexandra...this dog of yours better annoy me during this trip or I won't have to go very far for my meal," Birazcir said with a toothy smirk.
Xavier shook his head, "Oh don't mind him, he's just peeved cause I haven't been hunting with him lately," Xavier said with a small laugh. The truth was that he had been spending more and more time with Lex and he was pretty sure that Birazcir was starting to become jealous.
"Do you want to hike to the camp site or just teleport?" he asked and then shook his head, "Who am I kidding, this is you we're talking about," he said as he led her to a teleporter that took them to the outskirts of the city, "Well we're going to have to do a bit of hiking," he explained as he led her towards a wooded path. The path would eventually lead them to an idealistic little clearing which a small river ran next to. The clearing was surrounded by a meadow that gently gave way to the forest. The river ended near the campsite at a small cliff with a waterfall running off of it.
Xavier smiled, "I got to admit, I know how to pick a camping site," he said with a grin as he moved towards the site and started setting up. It wasn't long before he had Lex's tent set up and the cooking equipment set up and a fire going.
Lexandra almost laughed when he said that she didn't have to kill her own food. That he had brought food for her to eat. Please. As if she couldn't take care of herself. She rolled her eyes. Again he was treating her like some little princess that needed to be cared for. She knew that he cared for her but seriously she didn't need to be catered to like this.
In the teleporter they soon found themselves outside. She looked down at Biz after his comment about Drake. He knew better than Xavier that a arrow could easily find it's way into his ass if he didn't watch it and if he ate her dog he would be very very sorry. She sighed and let Xavier lead her.
"I can kill my own dinner thank you very much. I'm a girl but that doesn't mean I'm worthless." she shot over to Xavier.
She moved out of his embrace and walked next to him easily keeping up. Her jeans making a swishing sound as her hips rubbed against one another. She was going to enjoy this time in the woods she hoped...
Well it was going to be good til the mosquitos decided to make an appearnce. Already red welts formed on her nearly transparent skin. She groaned slightly and shook her head as Drake trotted happily next to Biz.
They entered the new area and she looked around. She set her things down and looked at the area. Nice soft grass a nice river running by and a lot of shade. While Xavier set up her tent something she had never done before and worked on setting up the campfire. Gathering the wood and making the rocks in a circle so that it would stay where it was supposed to. She pulled out a lighter and started the fire right up.
She unpacked her bow Daphne and Shadow and strapped them on with her quivers. She grinned.
"I'm going hunting." she chuckled as she nodded and disappeared into the woods. Now she was in her element.
Xavier chuckled and leaned his staff against the tent as he sat back in the grass and watched as she set up the fire. He grinned a little, she really wasn't as helpless as he was treating her like. He knew that, so why did he feel that he had to do everything for her. She was clearly capable of hunting her own food why not just let her? It didn't much matter though because she was going to do it whether he approved her not.
He grinned as she disappeared into the woods with her bows saying she was going hunting. Xavier let her go, they couldn't be together all the time and he doubted that Lex wanted a mushy relationship like that. He stretched out in the grass, slipping his arms behind his head with a satisfied sigh. It felt so good to be out in nature again.
Birazcir walked up and nuzzled him gently as he lay there, "C'mon Xavier we're finally out in the wilderness let's do some hunting," he said and Xavier nodded with a grin as stood up. He stretched a little and then ran into the woods, in the opposite direciton of Lex.
After running for a little bit he fell into a lope and then transformed into a wolf. He and Biz ran through the woods, tongues lolling as they grinned happily. Xavier felt fantastic right now, especially since he finally got a chance to run around in his wolf form. But soon the running would stop as the pair fell into hunting mode and started silently padding through the woods, looking for prey.
Lexandra ran through the woods and breathed in the fresh air. It was wonderful out here. After a while she stopped running and climbing up into a tree easily she sat and waited for her pray to come to a clearing she had found there.
A full hour passed before her traces were gone and the animals began coming into the clearing. She didn't want anything too big after all this was just a weekend. But when two white rabits came out into the clearing a grin crossed her face as she readied Daphne her white wooden bow. Pulling back a normal arrow she aimed and let fly. It hit perfectly the rabbit dying and falling limp instantly. She aimed at the other and loosed her arrow. Another grin as it too hit it's mark.
She jumped out of the tree and jogged over to the clearing picking up the rabbits by their ears. She began to walk back to the camp. It was a nice and relaxing walk and she felt good that she had been able to kill her own animals. Once back at camp she knelt by her kill and with her dagger she began to clean them before tossing everything but the meat away. Tying the legs around a stick she set them both over the fire to cook while she waited.
Lexi took off her shoes and threw them inside the tent before she let her hair down and shook it out. She felt much more comfortable right now this way. She lay down in the grass with her arms behind and supporting her head as she looked up at the sky. Her navel showing as she looked up her navel pierced a small diamond glimmering in the sunlight. It was a new addition to the girls body and she liked it but didn't realize it was showing.
Xavier grinned wolfishly, which wasn't exactly hard as he was currently in wolf form, as he crept forward towards potential prey. He padded softly forwards, he had been tracking a small deer for an hour now and he and Biz were currently ready to spring the trap they had been painstakingly setting since they picked up the deer's trail.
He grinned as he purposefully broke a twig. A soft cracking sounded echoed through the still woods. The deer turned to the source of the sound, seeing the wolf watching it. Immediately the deer turned to run in the opposite direction. As it ran it was tackled by a ball of fir, Birazcir had fulfilled his role in this plot.
Xavier padded forward as Birazcir disabled the thrashing deer's legs. Without mobility the only thing the deer could do is thrash around uselessly in the brush as Xavier leaned over it, teeth bared. With a victorious howl he leaned down and ripped out the deer's throat.
There was a dull rubbing sound as Biz and Xavier dragged their kill back into the camp. Xavier transformed back into his human form and set about preparing the deer. After a little while the deer had been skinned and prepared. He would be having vension steaks for dinner tonight. Xavier started cooking the meat and lay down beside Lex with a satisfied sigh.
"Apparently your hunt was successful as well," he said, grinning as he slipped his arms behind his head and stared at the clouds drifting by lazily. He wiped away a dribble of blood at the corner of his mouth, "Not as successful as mine, but a success is a success right?" he said with a chuckle and a smirk.
Lexi heard a rustling and she looked over to see Xav and Biz in wolf forms pulling a dear out of the clearing. She watching him clean for a moment before returning her attention back to the clouds above. It was relaxing being here in the clearing and her eyes slid closed gently.
She heard Xavier lay down next to her and boast about his hunting trip which immediatly turned her smile upside down. She sat up and then stood up brushing herself off.
"Well, A one of us had a buddy. And B I didn't over kill so I wouldn't have to waste meat if your getting technical jerk." she said as she stomped off down the bank of the river.
The nerve! Boasting about his kill at least she hadn't said anything about her own but there he was all happy he'd killed a deer way too much meat. She sat down a ways away from camp and perched herself on a rock and began skipping stones in the rather smoothe river.
Damn him. Why did he have to get so cocky. Geez what a waste. Freaking wolves.
Xavier sighed and followed her, sitting on the rock beside. He hadn't meant to piss her off he was just having a little fun. But of course it was okay for her to give him a little verbal jab but the minute he turned it around she got pissed off. He sighed again as he remained silent sitting beside her and watching her skip stones.
"Look I was just messing around, just joking you know?" he said, staring out into the water as he talked, his reflection distorted everyime she threw a stone, "Well I'm sorry, not much more I can say," he said, shaking his head a little as he sighed and laid back on the rock, letting the warmth of the sun wash over him. He wasn't exactly worried about her being mad at him for too long, she would get over it eventually she always did when he pissed her off. Just like he recognized that her sarcastic side was who she was, she recognized that the bumbling idiot who couldn't see to do anything right was who he was.
Xavier came after her and she smiled inwardly. She had wondered if he would and it was nice that he had. Drake was back at the came sleeping in the shade the dog knew not to go far unless Lexi told him to. She looked down at him when he lay back on the rock after appologizing.
"You better be." she said as she dropped the rest of the rocks and lay on her side on the rock. She was facing him and she placed a hand on his chest as she leaned in and kissed his lips gently.
She let the kiss linger for some time her black and red hair falling down around his face as she continued to kiss him. Her tongue slipped into his mouth gently almost sensually as she continued the kiss. Breaking it very softly she looked down into his eyes. She ran the tip of her nose down the length of his before she kissed the tip of his nose.
"Better keep yourself in check boy." she chuckled as she lay on the rock next to him her head on his shoulder gently cuddling in a way in the sunlight.
