Kegan was taking a break form the crowded Academy. There was no rule governing where you could and could not go, and that was one freedom they offered that Kegan took huge advantage of. He had taken to walking, heading toward the one place that he found the most solace in... the forest.
He considered it his home, his sanctuary, and his friend. It never judged him, and that alone was enough. In return he protected it with his life against all threats, keeping the land and creatures safe from the virus that was the human race. He protected his home like a mother protects her children, and anyone who didn't have the sense to flee was only asking for death.
He was just outside the Academy, the forest ahead. He began to breath a bit easier, when he caught the scent of someone. He wasn't alone. Someone was watching him... following him. He stopped, his cloak blowing in the slight breeze. He didn't turn around, instead choosing to call back to his current stalker.
"I would suggest turning back. This is my only warning. If you need to pass through, then do so quickly." There was an ominous feel in the air, the presence of the other person unnerving Kegan. He prepared himself for the worst, ready to fight if need be.

"The forest does not belong to you" was Grey's immediate response. "You, or anyone else of your kind, belong to the forest, and so do I" Grey doubted that he would understand, and he didn't care. He had been bonded with nature since he was born, a thing that had always been despised by everyone else, unable to understand, and fearing it because of that.
"The law of the forest is the same as any other law, not the ones on petty paper, but the true laws, running through our blood" He spoke passionatly, more to himself than the other guy as he emerged from the darkness. "The strong takes all. That's all there is to it. So if you want this place for yourself" He took his fighting pose. "You better be ready to fight for it" He had sensed that his foe was a werewolf long ago, and he knew that he would also be recognized as a vampire on sight. Werewolves and vampires had never really gotten along

The voice of this person only irritated him. He removed his cloak, letting it fall to the ground. He turned to face his opponent, and took notice of the Vampire immediately. "I may not own the forest, I'll give you that. However, it is my home none the less. I am bonded to nature more deeply than most, and that is the only thing you got right. You are not bonded with nature. You are unnatural. Your very scent wreaks of dark intentions." He readied himself. This would not be an easy fight, not by a long shot. He was going to attempt to subdue the opponent with his bending. If all went well, he wouldn't have to transform, and he could continue his walk in peace. It' looked doubtful.
"You followed me here, and now you challenge me, spouting off words in a sad attempt to sound righteous. You want to fight? Then come at me." He waited, keeping his gaze on the vampire. The curse of Vampirism was unlike that of lycantropy. Werewolves all share the same condition. The vampire curse effected each one differently, and each vampire had different powers. There was no way for Kegan to know what exactly he was up against, and this bothered him. I'll just have to see what he can do.

Those words stung like needles. If Grey had been in a different position, body and soul, he would have argued against what the werewolf said, but he didn't care. "You speak as you have knowledge to" He advanced slowly, having abandoned his fighting position in favour of a strolling walk, that could become a most ferocious attack or thorough defense within a split second. "And that is no a lot, it sounds" He let his chi flow into his bloodstream, preparing himself for the fight. He was on his own, pissed off and thirsty, so very thirsty.
He opened up with a quick jab at his foes face, then kicked for his gut. These attacks were fast and accurate, but without any real power behind them. They were only that appetizers of the main course about to follow

Kegan had taken both shots, both relatively weak. This can't be his true strength, can it? Not after what I felt... he is holding back. He jumped back, just after the kick had landed. "You have no idea what your truly up against, do you? This was basically a verbalization of what Kegan was feeling, as he was the one who was unsure of his opponents limitations. However, even if the vampire could tell of Kegan's curse, he wouldn't know about his bending. That would be Kegan's advantage her. Though not something he did frequently, he decided bending would be his main form of attack.
As he landed, he let his left foot touch first. He brought his right in a stomp, causing a boulder roughly four feet in diameter to lift from the ground and hover in front of him. Kegan kicked out, and sent the boulder flying at his opponent. "This is only the beginning!"

Grey twirled around the border, ready to channel the momentum into a spinning kick should it be neccesary. "I smelt the blood in your veins long ago, but I didn't expect this" He said, smiling with self-confidence. Grey was a testament to the difference between ego and overconfidence. He knew that he was good and therefor felt no need to tell others. "Not that it will make a difference" He still had all his aces up his sleeves, quite a few nasty surprises to throw at his foe.
It was unlikely that his foe wouldn't have more up his sleeves, including whatever he would look like when he transformed. "Let's get serious then, there's no need to beat around the bush with this" He charged, his instincts kicking into their highest level. He went for a straight-to-the-point attack, leaping off the ground a few yards away from his target and, his body flat in the air, kicked with both his feet for the head. The advantage of going for the head was that it made countering more difficult, but he knew it would be far from that easy, and that made him smile

Kegan figured he would dodge the boulder. His blood grew hot as he knew this battle would be nothing short of thrilling. As his opponent came down from the jump. Kegan rolled to the side. He stood up quickly, his eyes never loosing sight of the talented vampire.
"Your right. Let's be direct." He was about 4 feet from this threat who was as of yet nameless. "Burn to ash!" He let loose a volley of punches and kicks, each one throwing forth a burst of flame. Punch, kick, punch, kick; four shots were thrown, each blast of fire deadly. Though each was different, all vampires (and lycanthrops for that matter) were vulnerable to fire. Knowing this, and the fact that his opponent was far from tired or out of tricks, he was going to attempt to end this quickly. If any of the fire blasts hit, and they caused heavy damage or stun the fanged boy, Kegan would continue the onslaught.
Why do I feel like I need to fight him? I just met him, but I feel like I've hated him for an eternity. It makes no sense... but I must trust my instincts.

Grey let out an unintentional snarl at the sight of flames, keeping his distance. He was faster than his quarry, but not enough to manage to get past his barricade of flames. At this distance, however, they were easy enough to dodge, but he had to pull back to avoid them all. One of the blasts flew right by his face, the blistering heat causing a blaze to form where the flame had scratched him.
He rolled onto all four and, sensing no further flames, stood up, hatefully glaring at the bending lycanthrobe. "You have no idea what you've just done" He whispered, his hand cooling down the sizzling wound. "You'll pay for that" He hissed, once again slowly advancing. There are many forms of armor in this world, but the two best are not those you wear around your body.
Grey was running through what he had been taught by his vampiric master, the only person in his entire clan whom he had ever liked, and even trusted. Not only been an excellent teacher mentor, the things he had taught Grey were worth more than gold. The first and best of these are too keep out of your foes reach. This is hard in our way of fighting. But the second best, the armor of your surroundings, never forget that. Grey never had, and he was going to make good use of that.
Changing his stroll into a charge, he was prepared to change his course and dodge into the cover of the trees. It was possible that the werewolf would be able to bend the earth once again in a way that would hinder this, but it could be no worse than the fire. What ever the case, he would try and bring the combat up close and personal where he had the advantage, at least until the werewolf decided to change his form, at which point Grey could see himself forced to revise his tactics.
Once he got close he would resolve to palm strikes, mainly aiming for the head, chest and arms, inteding to rob him of balance and reducing the chance of getting blasted away. From then, only time and his instincts would tell

Kegan saw the Vampire begin to approach. You want to bring this in close? Big mistake! His eyes changes from brown to yellow, and this white hair grew in length. The fur sprouted form his arms and legs, and his size increased. The teeth within his mouth became fangs, his nails turned to claws. He was in his hybrid form, and he let loose a howl that would disturb most hardened warriors. However, his opponent was far from average, and would only be thrown slightly if at all.
He changed back at his opponent with amazing speed, and leaped into the air, meeting his foe. With a voice to match his appearance, he snarled at the boy. "You asked for it!" He came down hard at the boy, front claws outstretched. If the vampire dodged the blow, Kegan would land on his hands, turn his body, and once again be facing his enemy. If the attack landed, he would try to continue slashing, attempting to rip him apart.
The whole time, he was still confused. This is more than his distrust of humans. Why do I feel this immense hatred toward him? His very presence stirs my blood. The longer they fought, the more he hated this being in front of him. No reason, no modivation... just pure instinct causing the desire to kill the one who had followed him to this spot. Kegan had never felt this way before, and he couldn't do anything to stop the urge he had to continue attacking.

Grey felt the roar reverberating through his tainted soul, a long dead sense of fear brielfy emerging to quickly be squashed against the bottom of his conciousness. He saw the creature change shape, and felt an ancient rage awaken within him, something far greater than what had been brought on him by the pain caused by fire. The werewolf leapt into the air and came down at him, his front paws and the claws that followed posing a deadly threat to his undead biology.
Grey had not charged at full speed, a thing he rarely did as he knew the advantage of being able to move just that little bit faster. He sped up, setting off and landing on his hands just past the spot where his foe would land. As Grey expected, having taken in the graceful moves the werewolf had exhibited prior to their fight, the lycanthrobe landed on his hands as well. Greythen launched a vicious kick with both his feet, aiming for his foes upper ribcage. He would roll away quickly after that, remebering that werewolves were extremely deadly in close quarters

The kick hit true, and Kegan was thrown fro a bit. He recovered, and was on his feet again. It was times like this he would have been happy to bend while not in human form. Something to do with the change prevented him from being able to focus enough to perform the motions necessary for it. Would have been helpful about now.
He wasted no time in charging again, this time running straight at the boy in an effort to tackle him to the ground. If he could just get a hold on him, perhaps he could overpower him and end this fight. Once he was close, he would dive straight at the vampire, claws out, teeth snarling. However, internally, Kegan was having second thoughts. There is something very wrong here. There was no reason for me to lash out like this. He shouldn't have followed me, but that was not reason enough to feel like this. He set in his mind to gain control. He would still attempt to gain a hold on his opponent, but only enough to lock him up and knock him out. Then he would leave him there, and continue to the wooded area he called home.

Their rage is their strength, don't let it overpower you, but let it become your own, harness it, and use it against them. "Yes master" Grey whispered as the ancient thoughts ran through his mind once again. He had been warned against the power of werewolves, and he had fought, killed and consumed a few in his time, but this one was different. Not just the bending of elements, but something more.
Grey saw the massive lupine creature charge at him, and saw little choice but to use one of his own tricks. [glow=red,2,300]"KIAI"[/glow] He bellowed, unleashing his tainted energy in the form of a shockwave, aimed to rob the lycanthrobe of his forward momentum, a task that almost certainly be fulfilled. Not as much because the shockwave was guaranteed to hit, but because by dodging the lupine would have to surrender some of his speed to avoid the blast. The blast was not that powerful, but was excellent for upsetting balance and destroying defense, throwing people out of their stances.
He would close up on his opponent regardless of whether his chi blast was dodged, relying upon the teachings of his clan to bring down the beast. The main enemies of vampires, besides themselves and their eternal inner struggles for power, had been werewolves, and Grey was more than adept at fighting them. This werewolf, however, was different, and Grey was anxious to see what it could truly do

In mid-dive, the shock-wave came. Kegan's eyes widened as the bast hit him, knocking him to the ground. He was a bit stunned, as he never expected something like that. He had never fought with a vampire before now, though he knew the stories. Each could be bestowed with powers, and they were all different based on the individual. This one, it seemed, could uses a force with his voice to disrupt balance. Kegan made a note of that as he stood up.
As he raised his head, he noticed the boy was closing in. He hadn't quite reached Kegan yet, and that provided him time. You are foolish to charge me. With that, he set after him again, more wary of the boy now than he was before the battle.
He Zig-zagged, making his movement hard to predict. He jumped again, but aimed for above the boy. He would attempt to land behind him, and slash upward, raking the back of his opponent.

Grey slowed down as his foe got back on his feet, not wanting to charge headlong into the fanged embrace of his foe. His eyes locked onto the cunning lupine as he began moving from side to side and eventually tried jumping again. Why did everybody try and go over his head?
Grey allowed the jump to behind him, but not before leaping into the air so that he could land an undisturbed kick on the lupine's furry body. Grey was not as strong nor as durable as his foe, but he was far more experienced in the arts of combat it seemed

Kegan believed he had the element of surprise on his side, but he was wrong. He was hit with the kick to the underside. His clawed feet gripped the earth as he slid back from the impact of the kick. He was a good fighter, but not as good as his opponent, who was not even breaking a sweat. Kegan was used to fighting based on survival, where his opponent appeared to have many, many years more experience over him. It was becoming apparent that this battle was not going to yield a victor. Kegan hated fighting for no reason, and that is exactly what this was. Something deep within him had told him to fight, but he was able to over come that. He was logical, and this fight made no sense. Kegan shifted back to human form, and retrieved his cloak. He walked toward the woods, passing the vampire, no intention to attack obvious by his demeanor. "This fight will go no where, and it is pointless. It makes no sense to continue, as there will be no winner. You should be able to know that." He continued onward, heading to his home, the camp he had set up prior to coming to the academy. ::If Grey Attacks, then I will remove this part of my post:: It was quiet and Kegan sat down, his back to the tree across from the fire pit. He was tired, but also hungry. As he didn't have the energy to go hunting, he decided to sleep. He put both hands, fingers together and extended, palms facing down at an angle, to his chest. He brought them down and out at the same time, causing two walls of stone to shoot up on either side of him, forming a tent. He turned and brought his hand from down to up behind him, causing a third wall to form, leaving an opening in the front, facing the pit. With a simple jab, a stream of fire shot forth, igniting the dried twigs in the center. This was what he used bending for. He could use it for fighting, and he was quite capable at that. However, it made camp easy to set up. For someone with simple needs such as Kegan, bending was a tool, not a weapon. He laid down inside the tent, the fire warming the cool night air. He was going over the fight with the vampire in his mind, trying to place the urge that had welled up inside him. Why did I feel the need to kill him? We had never met before today. There was no reason for my actions. He settled into an uneasy sleep, his question still unanswered.
