on a small grassy hill in the countryside of Scotland walked a lone figure illuminated by the pale light of the moon. A gental breeze tugged at his clothing and his long scarf trailed behind him.
The moonlight also glinted off a large weapon heafted over the man's shoulder. Oddly enough Rakel moved quietly as he walked in the long grass making only wisperings as the blades of grass brushed against him.
His eye was closed during the walk as he knew this area pretty well and came here often when he could. He had just gotten done dueling with Melfice and had lost to his friend once more. But he still had a smile on his face though it was covered by the scarf. he had learned alot more this time around.
He reached his destination and stabbed the sword into the ground enough to hold itself up and then sat on a lage rock near the top of the hill. The lights from his town far below were visible and that was what had his main focus right now though he was still alert since this was close to where the first rupter occured changing his life completely.

Chephros was gliding in the sky, flying over the world and the people. He had his freedom now, but his thoughts constantly drifted to the girl even if he didn't want them to. It was odd almost, but he would visit her in the future to sate his mind's curiosity about her. Why was it so damn fixated on the girl anyway? He had no clue but he would find out later. Looking down, he caught a glint of metal on a hill and uprighted himself. This caused him to stall like an air plane and he started going down.
He flipped over in the air and he used some chaos to force his frontal area back and pulled out his wings again. The wind caught him and he flipped back around, then he glided down. Touching down on the rocks he had been silent so far, and his steps were even silenced a small bit. Chaos was becoming more useful and because there were few demons in the world to use it, it was going around to those that existed.
Touching the ground, if the man hadn't noticed or sensed him yet, he would now as Chephros called out to him.
"Pretty large weapon you have there. Whats it for?"
His curiosity was stupid. It was for fighting of course! Tail swishing behind him the spikes had grown a small bit to be an inch and a half long. Six of them lined the back end of his tail, the true end still covered in an impenetrable blackness. No magic, not even that of the gods could see through the blackness and any touched by it felt a cold pass through them. He had hit himself with it on accident, as many demons did, and knew what it felt like. It was not a pretty experience.

Hearing noise similar of that at the balcony at the academy when he met Malix, Rakel figured he was about to meet another winged individual. He remained with his eye shut though until he heard a voice inquiring as to his weapon's purpose.
Rakel's eyes snapped open and His focus was drawn to what looked to be a man roughly his age maybe older. But it was clear that it was unlikely as he sported several traits of being another race, likely a demon.
"In this place it is a means of keeping me and a few others safe from some odd occurrences here." He said in a flat but not rude or dismissive tone. He got to his feet his left arm hanging in his coat as normal though the right arm came up and grabbed the handle of his sword but he made no move to pull it out.
In the past any non-human here has been nothing but trouble. But they attacked without warning. And with this person there was no rift. I guess I should at least hear him out. He thought deciding not to judge this being by what species it was even with his past experiences.

"Like me I take it. If you mean to attack me then do so."
The man had put his hand on his sword which meant he was preparing to fight. If he truly wanted to, then he would definately get a fight, but Chephros was more for finding out what happened to the other demons of the world. They simply disappeared. Either something had killed them or they had all returned to the demon realm in the time that he had been in the one town.
"However, I warn you not to underestimate me. Full demons are not something to try and toy with."
When he said demons, twin kodachis came to his hands. They looked like burned metal, black in some areas and a molten red in others. This was a form of chaos, formed together to make a solid object. Smirking when he felt the objects, he liked the skill he had picked up. However, seeing as the man had simply kept his weapon in the ground, Chephros flipped the blades towards the earth and stuck his in the ground. Sure they would drain some energy from him, but he would fight evenly right now. Hand-to-hand and then later weapon to weapon if it came down to it.
"So, why is it that the demons are under attack?"
It was a far cry from everything, but it was a bluffed guess designed to draw a reaction of some sort.

"You seem to jump to conclusions rather quickly." Said Rakel in the odd flat voice he had. Well it's clear he's not here to attack me. He thought still keeping his grip on the handle and leaned against the weapon slightly.
Rakel had a small smile on his face hidden by his scarf at the warning. He was sure this person would be more challengeing than the creatures he had already fought and it almost tempted him to attack to see the challenge in store. But he held himself in check for now.
"I know nothing of demons being the ones under attack. Not here at least. Five years ago this place was attacked with no warning at all. It happened again only about a month ago. So I'm cautious. If I wanted to harm you I would have attacked as soon as I saw you." He said keeping his single eye locked onto Chephros'.

"Yes, and you might have died right then as well."
Responding with the same cockiness that the person with the sword was displaying, Chephros looked down to the ground, closed his eyes and smiled. Laughing slightly, more like blowing air out his nose in a few rapid bursts to sound like laughing, he looked back up after a few moments.
"You humans are interesting. You think that the world is yours to simply use and abuse."
Thinking of the man's words again then, the place had been attacked by demons a month ago. They had been killed then, but they were most likely unblooded. The mass attack five years ago was probably a group of demons hunting together so that they could destroy and entire place.
"You seem to have the same confidence that I do. Shall we see which of us is the better anyway?"
It was an open challenge to duel, and such things would help the demon. If he won, he would grow from the experience. It was almost unknown as to why, but it happened and as such he wanted the power. A test of his new abilities and his skill would also be a welcome thing.

"And you hold yourself in too high an opinion with that tone." Rakel sais somehow still managing to keep the even expressionless tone.
He shrugged at the demon's comment. "I don't care what you think of my race. I don't care about what my race belives either. So don't be direction those opinions on me. It's pure arrogance to think I might be like most people." He said finally with a slight hint of annoyance.
At the challenge he pulled his sword out but instead of holding it out he heafted it over his shoulder. "I have absolutly no reason to fight you nor am I really interested now that a trace of your personality has shown. I doubt you'de be an opponet I could appriciate no matter how skilled you are." He said turning away and heading towards the woods with every intent to keep walking. He had just gotten out of a duel and if that was apparently the demon's first request of him then Rakel would just as soon avoid him.

"How interesting you humans truly are. First you react one way, then you go through complete mental shifts to another person."
Smirking and laughing under his breath a bit again, Chephros simply stood there. He looked up to the sky, and simply lost himself in it. He guessed he would be returning to it soon if this kept up.
"Actually, I term you with the several other humans I have met, because they started off the same way, and pretty much ended the same way as well. For everything you say, you are human and match them. Personally, I don't really care if you enjoy a duel or not, I duel for its own sake. While you humans may see them as worthless tests of skill, a demon sees it as a chance for a better station in our own world of chaos and eternal war."
Twisting his arms and fingers then, he cracked half of his upper apendages then, the bones snapping with a low noise each time. If this man was so convinced on leaving, he would find a demon chasing after him with shockwaves and flight pretty soon.

Rakel stopped and turned. "Listen. If you want to fight then attack. But don't bore me to death. You fight for some eternal war and wonder why others have low opinions of your race. I only fight to test my skill and defend myself. I will not make the first strike. So either do something or go away I have other things I could be doing with my time." He said back to his normal tone. This demon was becoming highly annoying and Rakel wouldn't go all out but he would hold back if the demon started to attack. He was already prepping the techniques he could use from having the weapon on his shoulder. The blade started glowing red as he spoke but with no real knowladge as to what the reason was this demon wouldn't reall be able to guess the real source of the glow.

There was a power in that blade, and that was all Chephros needed to know. The chaos kodachis literally leaped to his hand, summoned by a power foreign to all other races but those that could use it. They reach to his hands and he sliced them through the air in front of him. A shockwave emitted then, the twin forces of the slashing blades colliding to make a solid wave when infused with chaos.
Right behind the wave came the demon that caused it. Even if Rakel managed to block part of the shockwave, the rest would travel down for a bit and smack into the forest, cutting into the trees there. It was more of an area attack, and thus wouldn't be used anymore unless there were multiple targets to hit. Shooting forward by flying to add speed, the demon came in with double diagonal slash from the left that had all his momentum behind it. If it was dodged, he would keep flying past and be able to circle around. If it was blocked he would be stopped and would be able to fall to the ground. Either way he gained an advantage.

Rakel smirked slightly as he slashed down-wards with his weapon as the shock-wave came in. The result was interesting. His blade made contact with the shock-wave and he was flung back slightly being knocked over by the shock-wave. But unless Chephros could alter his course extremely quickly he would run strait into the blade of energy that was sent through not from but through his blade.
The energy was in the shape of Rakel's blade and was the same size. it flew at Chephros at about the speed of an arrow and was aimed for the demon at a diagonal angle it was avoidable it wasn't exactly easy to do and if hit Chephros would be having problems.
If the attack was evaded and Chephros kept coming at Rakel the swordsman would have rolled to his feet at that point and would shift the blade to parry the first attack even though the one at his left side would slice at his arm a bit.

See, chaos basically was magical energy in a raw form. Thus, when magical energy, and chaotic energy met....nothing really happened. They just hit. So when Chephros drew his swords up to start the slash, they moved in the path for the energy blade anyway and he kept them there long enough to hit it. He slowed down a bit, but kept flying anyway. Pulling his blades through he continued with the diagonal slash.
Still, the recoil effect had its drawbacks. Rakel would be feeling them to. When a force hit a body it often rattled the nerves and muscles making them weaken for a bit. The recoil effect here hit Chephros' arms. While his swords slashed in and Rakel was cut, Chephros focused on keeping his body going. Adrenaline shot through his system and pushed his demonic muscles onward. After the slash though, his momentum kept him going. Spinning in the air, he was flying backwards for a bit but his spin kept it so he would be able to block any attacks that Rakel might throw at him.
Then of course he would shoot forward, beating his black/blue/red wings up and down to create wind force. The leaves moved under the new and unexpected wind, and he was moving forward quickly once again. His tail curled slightly now though. Bringing his twin blades up, they formed an odd X which crossed past his shoulders. This attack would be a twin slash, two diagonal attacks in opposite directions, followed instantly by his tail coming in. The small spikes would protect it from cuts, and the blackness would send a cold through whatever would take it, including metal and leather(depending on your armor). It would act like a whip and slam forward to attempt and hit Rakel's chest and leave an indent in armor and body.

Interesting Rakel thought as he watched his foe fly past after the initial attack. the wound was shallow really and not much to be worried about. He saw his foe come in and by the way his weapons were held it was clear what way he would attack with them.
Though Chephros had flight Rakel had more reach. After all unless it was a blast Chephros still had to get close enough to hit him. It was Rakel's reaction to stabe while jumping about four feet back. Putting him out of his foe's range for the slash while aiming to stab Chephros' in the gut.
Wheather his hit or did not hit he felt the attack from the tail. AN unseen force hit him knocking him back almost knocking the wind out of him. He fell back lessening the blow and felt an odd chill. Good thing the cold part was there. Otherwise that would have rendered me a bit unalert. Thought Rakel glad he responded better to cold than anything else. Not that he had some immunity to it but it did help to keep his senses sharpend.
Ignoring the pain in his chest he faced his foe ready for the next attack. His eye was locked on Chephros waiting to see what he would do. not being able to fly Rakel was going to have to rely on countering attacks.

The stab came in, but it wasn't unexpected. Chephros had expected a stab forward, but the jump back actually made it useless. Kodachis were relatively short blades. He had already planned on getting closer to his enemy, but the stab simply made his attack redirect. He pulled them close to his chest quickly and the stab hit them. This slammed the backs of them into his chest and he felt the impact. Still, there was no stab wound which was nice. his tail continued in though and hit his enemy. Flapping back as his enemy lost his breath, he made the weapons disappear. They were draining a bit too much energy, and he had little of it to start with.
"You are a good opponent. I will have to fight you later when I am stronger."
Smirking his demonic smirk, he flapped his wings and backed up into the air. Chephros would remember this guy, and find him later in life. A duel was in order then, but for now training was needed. Flying away, he hit some clouds and used them for cover.
(If this counts as a fight at all, you basically won.)

Thats it? I expected more. He thought as Chephros flew away. Not really having the option of pursuing his foe nor did he have much interest in it he once more stabbed his weapon into the ground. I'll have to watch out. I'm sure he wasn't thrilled about how that turned out and I bet he'll have learned from this battle. I'll have to find a way to counter his power of flight. And that tail. He though as his right hand moved to cover where he had been hit by the invisable force. It was something that made him very curious as to exactly what he got hit by.
Once more Rakel sat upon the rock he had rested on before the demon showed up. His ete closed once more as he went over the fight in his mind. The demon's ability to block his blade beam spell was interesing. He'd have to develop some newer powers.
