Meeting one of the higher ups. (Oki)

[Jason]

Now this. This is nice Jason thought as he walked through the woods not far from the place where the Academy was located. Well except for the fact he was down on the earth instead. But he was still close to the area. Jason had no classes today and just felt like going for a walk would be a good thing. Besides he loved nature. Growing up in Oregon he had a good blend of nature and citys at the same time. That made Jason have a much higher respect for the woods than many. For most would snap twigs and chase small animals when they walked through. Jason didn't do those things. Infact most animals were comfortable when he walked by. He didn't have the "SNow White Syndrom" and have the little critter come up to him. But they didn't run off or really pay him any mind. It was proof that one's bearing relfected how they impacted their surroundings. He had on his normal clothing (Stuff in sig) but also a light windbreaker over his short as he walked.

He whistled a tune to himself as he walked along a small trail. It wasn't really much of a trail instead of a path made by the ildlife. But for Jason that worked fine.
And they say boyscouts is for nacny-pansy boys. Back when I went they actually taught us how to be out in these places and not get lost at all and how to survive in them. I kinda miss it He thought ad he walked along using his metal staff as a walking stick

Slowly pulling out of the sleeping world, Oki Nanda panted softly. What hard work. The bird who had been resting on her shoulder fluttered away with a soft twitter of panic. She had been forced into several meditations today, her companions unable to handle all of the situations on their own or unable to get to the issue fast enough to prevent a spread or increase of the issue. Adjusting her brown top, the golden dragon flashing in the sun and allowing cool air to flow against her skin, she stood. The sensation of the grass under her feet, sent shivers up her spine. The difference between here and there was always somthing people had a tendancy to take for granted. Oki Nanda exhaled a long soothing breath and looked up at the warmth giving sunlight- ahh another benefit of being in the waking world. Sunlight, there was nothing quite like the real feel of soul warming sunshine.

Tilting her head to the side, Oki stepped onto the path and looked towards the source of the sound of passing breath and wettened lips. Oki Nanda stood perfectly still and watched him walk waiting until he was within range and spoke one word of pure simplicity, "Hello."

Hmm didn't think anyone else would be in this part of the wood. Goes to show what I get for that track of thinking he thought hearing someone say Hello. He turned to see a woman who he would guess was a bit older than him though not much by physical appearance though he knew better than to think that way for certain after a bit of time as the Academy. he responded in the best way he could really thin.
"Hi. I'm Jason/" he said with a smile and a smal wave with his right hand as his left was holding his staff.
"Lovely day out in the woods no?" he said

Giving almost a soft chortle through a nearly blank expression, Oki nodded, looking the boy over with seemingly little to no interest. Dark brown eyes shimmering softly, Oki watched him with a faded memory of the last dreams she watched over from this very boy. He was an odd one as it was, though his dreams were the simplest and most comfortable she had seen in a long time.

Bowing slightly in greeting, Oki spoke, "Oki Nande could not agree more, Lancer Jason."

"Oki wishes to know what has brought Lancer Jason out on such a wonderful day."

[Jason]

"Oki. Well it's nice to meet you Oki. As for what brings me out here. Well I guess I just like being out in the woods every now and then. The calmness and the quiet. Just nice to get away from it all really." he said with a shrug. Jason simply liked the woods so here he was. He never felt like he would ever really NEED a reason to be out and about like this.
"If i had to take a wild guess I would think it's the same for you as well." he said.

Oki shook her head and smiled, "Oki is here for Oki has much and many a work to do. Oki has been called away several times this very glorious morning to ease the minds of those less fortunate than many."

Swaying slightly from heel to toe, Oki stretched, "Oki does not believe she has seen you in her classes or near her office. Does Lancer Jason specialize in something not of the dreamer realm?"

[Jason]

Hmm so she actually has a purpose for being out here. Interesting He thought.
"Well i hope you were sucessful with the task at hand. As for my talents. Well they don't have much to do with the Dream realm though now that it's brought up it is interesting." He said with a general shrug. He found the way she talked to be interesting as it was in thrid person. He didn't mind it and followed it easily but it was a bit different to him.
"I am an energy manipulator. Well thats hat I setteled on calling it. I can focus my mana to do a variety of tasks. Narrowing down as to how it works would be interesting to try and explain." He said.

Oki Nanda nodded and stretched, yawning slightly, the sunlight felt so incredible after such a dark dream of deep depair and destruction. Sighing softly, a yawn escaped Oki Nanda's lungs and she smiled softly. An energy manipulator, mm rare breed if Oki was correct- though she had seen plenty enough, it was nice to see one studying here at the Academia of Arcana.

"Oki Nanda needs no explaination, Lancer Jason's kind is not unknown to Oki. Though it seems Oki's kind is unknown, if not unexplained, to Lancer Jason. Allow Oki Nanda to shed some light. Oki Nanda and her fellow sisters, assistant instructors in this Academia of Arcania, are Dreamwalkers. As if Oki and Oki's sisters help those who are plagued by dark dreams and plauging demons of nightmarish dreaming. Understand?"

[Jason]

Jason nodded at her explaination. Een if he didn't unerstand the exact details of her branch of magic he got the idea of it. He found it highly interestign.
"Yes I understand. Well at least the basic principals of it. I don't think I've heard of that branch of magic. Well I've heard of those who work with dreams. But not in the way you describe." He said

Oki Nanda laughed, "No being knows the job of a Dream Master more than the dreamwalking master themselves. Lancer Jason should take into account Oki Nanda is always avalilable if Lancer Jason or any one associated with Lancer Jason, should become plagued with such nightmarish dreaming Lancer Jason should immedietly seek out Oki Nanda. Understood?"

Stretching and yawning broadly, Oki Nanda pulled a small handful of candy from her pocket, popping a few into her mouth, "Oki does not believe in many an alchemaic mumbo jumbo, however Blind Linsorim knows how to make good alchemaeic restoring candies. Does Lancer Jason wish to try one? Blue is energy, yellow is caffinated, and the green is uplifting."

[Jason]

Jason nodded once more to her intructions to make sure and find her if her talents were needed.
"Thank you. I'll mkae sure too keep that in mind." He said. Jason doubted he himself would really need such things as he could never emember having a nightmare before. He found that he was more or less at peace with himself. but if a friend ever needed such help it was nice to know who to go to.

He observed the candies with an interested look.
"I guess I'll try the green one. Sounds like a fun one. After all I'm already in a rather good mood. Uplifting as you should should be interesting." he said.

"Now that Oki Nanda has shared a bit of her vittles, Oki requests Lancer Jason join her in a small walk. Oki's legs need to be stretched and Oki believes Oki can teach Lancer Jason something worth learning."

Turning away, Oki Nanda began to walk, the click-click of her bathhouse shoes on the ground seemingly easing her way along the path as she started to talk wether or not he chose to follow was another thing, Oki Nanda was infamous for her 'Lectures to the Air' as the other staff so fondly called it.

"Oki Nanda is a Master Dreamwalker, highest in any rankings. Though Oki is on leave, Oki is called to help with more serious issues, which are becoming more constant and more dangerous. Which is why Oki Nanda has to eventually teach all the students of Academia of Arcana to use dreamwalking or one of the many forms of sensory in order to ease these recents attacks. Oki has seen fit to teach Lancer Jason the sensory part. A skill many can learn though few master due to the time the skill takes to learn. Very few are patient enough. Oki believes Lancer Jason may have the patience, but Oki Nanda is not always correct. There is so much work, days upon hours upon months of check-in and progression and testing. Not many are willing to endure the physical strain and time comsumption, though the few which have, have found out the tasks to reach that point are more than worth it."

Jason raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
eally. Something to tech me. I'm sure I could learn alot but I didn't really think my talents were along the powers she describes. but still no skill is not worth knowing in my book. He thought and very interested in what she had to say he walked along with her.

He listend like he always did. With a rapt attention letting the words sink into his mind. He figured anything one of the teachers wished him to learn was worth learning. So he waited until she was done to ask his question.
"Well I am very interested and more htan willing to learn how to use what you want to teach me. What are the actual techniques you are reffering to?' He asked wondering jusst what it was he'd be learning.
