Summoners Corner (Junpei)

[Ziare]

Ziare laid down next to him her hands resting on her stomach as she thought about his question. Truth was that was a hard question. She loved her life loved so many things about it. There was almost too many things to pick just one.

"That, my friend is a hard question. I think if I had to pick one thing it would be the people I have in my life. My friends, family, loved ones. Talbot and Jyo and you and Joseph and others. Talbot isn't really my sister but I love her as much as my real sisters and she doesn't have siblings so it really works out for us." she told him.

Ziare sighed looking up at the blue sky. Clouds puffy and light flew across making different designs in the blue background.

"Truth is I miss my family. I visited recently but I miss so much living here. They live a decent distance away and I can't visit that often. My sisters and my brothers they mean so much to me. I'm sure you understand."

"What about yourself what do you love most about life?"

Sighing out loud Junpei slipped his arms behind his head and watched as two clouds floated directly overhead, it was amazing how clouds were always changing. All it was was water after all, just drops of water combinging and falling then rising again. Junpei was beginning to understand elemental magic as well, how it could uetilise such forces to work their magic.

"What do I love most about life... that's pretty easy for me. My little brother, Loish, my friends, and of course the fact that I can live at all."

Junpei sat up suddenyl and rubs his face with his open palms, wiping away a drop of sweat that had formed on his forehead, it was getting warmer still, it must be sometime close to 4. The day would most likely peak sometime about 4:30 or 5 o'clock. With any luck this conversation would last till then, or maybe Junpei would burn out and take a nice snooze on the lawn, either way the day looked nrighter.

"I don't know anymore honestly, about what to do with my life. For the past 12 years i've done nothing but work and work. I haven't even had a girlfriend yet and it seems destined to stay that way. I'e been wondering lately if I should just give up on all this and spend my last years finding a way to perfect my dark magic. Maybe there is still a way to stop all this..."

[Ziare]

Ziare looked over at him.

"Well if you are nice to girls around here like you are being to me I can assure you that you would get a girlfriend." she said thinking about it. He was really a nice guy but she was taken and very much in love.

"You could use your last years to perfect your magic and you're right maybe you would find a way to stay alive longer. But wouldn't you rather live your life to its fullest now. Meet friends, fall in love, spend time with family members and those that care for you?"

She closed her eyes not sleeping but just relaxing in the grass with her new friend.

"But ultimatly it is your decision and I think what ever you chose you should have no regrets. I think that most important. I mean I know that leaving your loved ones behind will be hard but I think that if you live your life to it's fullest the impact will lessen." she sighed. "But that is only my opinion and probably doesn't mean jack."

"Heh..."

Junpei Taltos couldn't help but let a small chuckle escape his lips and let his eyes slip clised slowly. Allt his time he had been worrying about the big stuff when what really affected him now was the little stuff. He was mature beyond his years and he was still to young to know what to do. It was truly amazing what one could do when one looked for a solution. Hell in a person's last moments they were the most dangerous. Peopl made empty threats and spited the world. Blamed others for their misfortune adn tried everything they could to gain a few more moments. It was the threat of one's own death that would spur them on and make them realise that somehow, they were going to die soon and that would be it. Junpei knew there was a heaven and hell, he wasn't religious though, he was a scientist really. Hell he even knew someone who had talked to god personally, he knew that the devil was real and all of it was true. For Junpei however it only happened because his magic willed it to happen. To everyone their magic was unique and special, somehow different from everyone elses. That's when magic became wonderful, when all different types of magic came togetehr to form what Junpei had come to call life. It wasn't all physical or mental or even words, it was the magic that mankind had created for himself. Who had tapped magic first, learned it's ways and been able to use it. In Quantum Physics it is said that the world is only limited by or minds, but the reality was that our minds had so many ingrain ideas and perceptions, that we would never be able to perceive it as anything else. So to Junpei all of this, these random tid-bits of information combined together to give him his perception of the world. All of this thought spawned from a single word, soul. Junpei was giving his up in order to protect his brother, to ensure he lived to see adulthood and carried the family name to the end.

"Ziare... thank you... you've made me realise what I need to do now. KNow anyone that's single?"

Junpei chuckled a bit at the last sentence and smiled up at the sky, he was getting to know himself more, maybe this is what one called.. enlightenment...

Ziare laughed at the question. It wasn't a laugh that meant it was a stupid question but one that meant she just hadn't expected it.

"Well, actually no. Tal is my only female friend really. And I think...think mind you that she is rather smitten with one of my other friends. So I can't really help you out there." she said smiling. "But I'm sure you will find someone just get out there start meeting people. Who knows someone may have a sister or something you can date. Sadly my older sister is taken and my younger..."

She raised her eyebrows and smiled.

"I think 10 is a bit too young for you." she laughed and lay back down in the grass.

[Junpei]

"Just a bit."

Junpei laughed with her and then sat up rather quickly.

"Anyways, I best be going, I don;t want to go to long without eating."

Junpei had just realised that it had been quite a whiel since he had eaten anything, in fact it had been almost 12 hours. He had been locked away in his room befroe cominging out her adn now his stomach was craving food, a lot of food in fact.

Grabbing the robes from beside him Junpei pulled them back on and dusted them off, keeping them in perfect condition. Loish of course proceeded up to his shoulder and curled into a ball there, clinging onto the thcik material.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Ziare. IF your ever in need of another lesson look me up."

Taking his leave Junpei bowed to her slightly and then turned, heading back for the corridors of Arcane Academy.
