"Life isn't fun" Ethan began, slowly getting himself up. "Life is painful, difficult, struggling... Yet at the same time, it is about triumph and conquest. The path I have chosen dictates that I am to be this way. I might not smile or laugh or cry, and I might just be existing then actually living, but that does not matter. I am happy and content I can serve my family as the leader"
With that, he soon got up, as the sun came over the horizon above a bunch of clouds. He then moved forward a bit, stopping only a few yards away from the girl as the sun shinned down upon him and her. All the girl should see was simply his back, as his robes fluttered so freely in the soft sounding wind.
"My family are my friends and people to count on. They are the closest to me as they are of the same blood as I. Also, since no matter how much one's blood is close to another, they are still a separate person. With that, remember that everyone in my family is someone i can rely on and trust. At least, before the inter family disputes"
He then paused, as he felt he was repeating himself...
"Regardless, as you told you before Miss, my life is simply that of my family. One half of me belongs to them. If i am content with my life, should you not be as well? After all, it is not as though I insult you for not living the way I live or try to convert you to my style, why is it then that you are so convince on trying to change me from my service as the Heir?"

The man next to her stood leaving his seat and standing in the sunlight. Why was it the sunlight seemed to follow him no matter where he went? She stayed on the bench as he spoke and she began to feel bad. She didn't realize that she had gone too far. She was pushing him and that wasn't what she had been trying to do.
Sadly, she got up from her bench and nodded to herself more than to anyone. Tucking her over long hair behind her ears she stepped up. She was still behind him but closer now.
"Please forgive me, I did not mean to try to change you. Only, your way of doing things and living your life intrigues me. I fear, I am a victim of too much curiosity. I do understand, believe it or not, what it is like to step up for your family. My family is large, and I have many brothers and sisters. All of whom take care of one another. I am not the youngest, nor an heir or any great clan, but I do understand the importance of family." she spoke softly but loud enough that he would be able to hear her clearly.
"I feel, I've insulted you enough. I hope that I will see you again and that you will not hold my persistance against me. Have a good day, Ethan." she said softly as she turned to leave.
She felt like a right fool really. She had meant only to learn more about him and his way of thinking and had ended up insulting him in some form. That was not the way she was. She felt horrible and even after appoligizing she still felt bad as she placed her hands in her jean pockets and began heading for the hospital wing.
