Following the sounds of feathered winged against light wing currents, Talbot, arms outstretched was walking aorund campus. No one came near her, though she was unsure why- maybe she hadn't been a good person? She wished for only bare moments that she could remember who she had been and who she had known- having someone to talk to and know you, while you know them sounded like a good thing. Her felt lonely now- her guardians, at least that's what they said they were, were great but she wanted someone else- someone who knew her to talk to.
Distracted, a vibration and a power signature- she was drawn to the small flashes of gold in her minds eye. She could 'see' the outline of the tree which the vibrations were coming from. To anoyone aorund her, it would seem that the blind girl was walking right to a tree, but sadly- for some- she stopped before hitting it and looked up. Mikon, the one who rode on the wind, began saying there was a 'brother' in the tree- someone they should know. Encouraged by Zula, who had been riding on her left shoulder, Talbot extended her right hand, unsure of what 'brother' meant and could do no more than wait and find out.
A shiver went down her spine as something fuzzy, slightly damp and heavy stepped onto her hand. she could feel small hands with small pricking with it- nails from small paws. The weight shifted as the 'brother' moved down her arm, instinctively she best her arm, getting the creature closer to her. With a flick of a almost scaly surface, a tremor ran through her bones- shaking her so hard, she fell flat on the ground. Mikon gave a cry of panic, fluttering madly about over her as she layed on the ground, slightly dazed- Zula gave high pictched squeaks of panic and the soft sound, deep and unfamiliar, a new voice among the guardians. Talbot continued to lay on the ground, staring blankly at the sky- she wondered what the sky looked like today- and even more so, she wondered what her new friends looked like as well. Slowly she closed her eyes, too tired to get back up. She would simply wait until she felt better.

Corsair had been reading abook on mixing the powers of his runes that he had already found whe a girl walked by. She seemed to be moving oddly. He looked more closly and saw her eyes. They were withe. he knew that it was highly possible she was blind. He saw her heading to a tree and was about to utter a warnng when she stopped. COrssair now intrigued got up and walked over to the girl.
When he got there she was laying on the ground. While walking up he saw some movments and heard odd noises. But couldn't see anything that explained it. When he got there hew saw what seemed to be mice with wings. Kinda cute really. He thought.
Corsair knelt down and put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Sorry if I'm starteing you. But are you okay? You seemed to be having a moment of trouble. And it's also excited your fuzzy winged little friends here." He said in a soft pleasent voice. "Sorry. i forget my manners. My Name is Corsair. What is yours?' He asked. He seriously considered helong her to at least sitting up. but something told him that for the moment it was best to leave her be.

Opening her eyes, colorless orbes looked up out of habit- though she saw only darkness, she held some confort in the action. The voice which presented itself seemed gentle enough. Though a little muffled, she heard him well enough, without sitting up, she extended a hand straight up, "Talbot Linsor..m."
Mikson squeaked at Corsair, a warning against ill intention. Crying Zula ceased her tears and hid in the pocket, luckily filled with sunflower seeds. And the new 'brother' pucked his face, squinching whiskers together.

"Nice to meet you Talbot. Would you like a hand up. You looked like you were having some trouble. I wouldn't mind giving you a hand for a while with some things you may need. it seems you could probably use it for just a bit." He said kindly. "And forgive my being so blunt. But who and what are your little friends. I mean besides appearance?" He asked.

Talbot paused to think about getting up, then slowly shook her head no, "I th..nk I sho.ld stay he.e. I'... a li..le ti..ed."
Mikon chittered back the first half of Corsair's question and Talbot chittered back, asking their names again- and specifically the name of the new one. There was a series of almost argumentative squeeks from the three mice before they settled and Talbot answered, "W..ngs is Mikon," the flying mouse did a backwards spiral, "the sma...es.. is Zula," Zula popped her head out of the pocket, big baby blues staring up at Corsair as she gave a shy squeak, "an.. the big on.. is Ardo." To this Ardo, the biggest of the three mice, slammed his tail on the ground making the earth shake.

"Okay then. It's nice enough place to stay at for a while. And if you're tired I won't bug you if you'de rather have me leave." he said. he wasn't insulted in any way. He knew there were times it was nice to just lay back and relax.
He listend to Talbot introduce her little squeaking friends to him. he nodded to each one in turn and was surprised to feel the ground shake with the last one thumping hist ail to the ground.

"I wo..ld'nt mind com..any. E..eryo..e s..ems to s..ay a..ay," a sad smile appeared on her face, but only for a brief moment, "it'... nice to fin... som..one n..t af..aid."
This was when Zula, curiousity brimming in her eyes, sprang onto Corsair's pants leg and crawled up to his shirt- finally resting on his shoulder. The small mouse panted for a while and squeaked cheerfully at her success. Mikon fluttered his wings and landed on Corsair's head as Ardo began smalling his tail against the ground in jealously- he may have been an earth elemental but he wanted to be up high too!

OOC: How big is the earth one.
Corsai nodded though he was sure Talbot couldn't see it. "I don't see why people would be afraid of you. You seem nice enough to be around. But then I could be wrong. But thats a chance I'll take to make sure someone isn't lonely at least for a while." he said.
He chuckled seeing her little friends crawl onto him. The earth one seemed upset about this. Corsair reached down rubbing it behind the ears. "Sorry there man. It seems you got left behind. But you aren't being ignored." He said kindly. "So Talbot what kind of magic do you use?" he asked.

OOC: Ardo weighs a whopping 8 pounds- he is a BIG mouse.
Ardo thumped his tail in appreciation, Zula nuzzled under Corsair's chin as Mikon took back to the air and began flying about- as if to impress the young man.
Talbot had to think about this- she hadn't been asked that question since she had woken up in the imfirmary and honestly it puzzled her. Keeping her hands close but not together, she consentrated on the space between to cycle through the powers as she answered, "Wind," a marble sized ball of air formed in her hands, "fire," the ball of air became larger and glowed bright with newfound flames, "gra..ity," as the area around them became heavy, "psychic," she lifted him ever so slightly off the ground, " ..and heal..ng."
Her hands flopped to her sides, she lay still for a moment, panting quietly- she was still in the shock attained before waking up in the infirmary and still weak from the unremembered event. Looking towards where his voice resonated, she asked, "You?"

Corsair gaped seeing the variety of abilities this girl had. Granted he didn't slack on varety as he had just started collecting the runes. But this was power she harnessed without stones unlike him. "Very impressive." he said as he conitnued rubbing behind Ardo's ear. he chuckled affectionatly seeing the winged one flying arouns and then answered Talbot's question. "I am an armour mage. I can summon armour at an given time as long as I have the energy to do so. I have fashioned blades to appear with it that are stronger and sharper than some of the best swords ever made. They stick out from my forearms. I am also skilled in useing runes. At some point I'll talk your ears off about them. But let's just leave it at the fact that once I collect them I will have a wide array of powers such as yourself." He said.

Zula shifted, squeaked and fell into Corsair's shirt pocket, where she began to rummage instantly. Pockets were her speciality, but she was hoping there was food in there more than anything. Ardo gave a deep rumbling purr, which resembled the sound of rocks falling. Mikon continued his air acrobatics, more interested in enjoying the wind currents now, even more than he enjoyed showing off- the person he wanted to see him the most was blind.
A smirk lighted onto her face, he was an eager one. She wnated to tell him coherently that the best ablities come with time and dedication but the words slipped away eaisily- her mind still to worn from her little demonstration to even start to form those exact words as a coherent thought. Instead she gave a small head bob and answered, "I wol..dn't mind if you ta..ked..my ear..off. I ha..e to le..rn to hear a..ain an..wa..s. An.. talk."

Corsair's eyes softened.not with pity but sympathy. Pity would show some disrespect for Talbot. And he had nothing but respect. She had clearly been through something very bad and was recovering. He admired someone like her. He could tell that she had a strong soul. "Well if you'de like I'll be glad to talk. Right now among my armour I have my runes which i have learned can use to unlock magical effects. So far I have runes that letme harness a wind spell. A spell to Jup to incredible hieghts and eventually will let me fly. And then there is the one that lets me move faster. And another that allows me to see in 360 degrees around me which is highly useful. There are almost limitless runes in this world and I now seek them out for power. I am about to leave on a quest to get another rune that allows me to use lightining. Eventually I will be able to mix such powers." he said then paused and watched Mikon flit about. he didn't have anything in his pockets to eat but he did have something with him. he pulled out a small bit of bread from a sack he had with him and dropped it in the pocket of his shirt and kept rubbing Ardo's ear which he enjoyed immensly.

Talbot thought for a moment, slowly she sat up. Her bones popped and the strain could be heard. Leaning against the tree she had pulled Ardo from. Talbot tore the fabric from the end of her dress. Pressing her finger against the fabric, tapping once again into her fire majicks, she sketched out a rune she had learned as a child. It was a simple one, one she had memorized and learned in order to accomplish Ribbon Cut and eventually Fallen Wall. Picking up the fabric, she held it out, "To as..ist y..or end..vo..r."

"Thank you. but I am not sure it will work. but I'm not going to tun the offer down." he said taking her gift. He focused his energies but noting happend. "Sorry Talbot. I thought this would happen. I can only use the energies from these sort of runes." he said pulling out one fo the small stones and placing it in her hand. "I truly appreciate the offer. it is kind of you and had it worked I would have most gratefully accepted. But it is not something I am in tune with." he said sounding slightly put out.

Her hands accepted the stone, her fingers moving lightly over it, even through blind eyes she felt and 'saw' every bit of this stone. Though her eyes were colorless, the onyx cornea- the only color among the whitness seemed to glisten. Still holding the stone, she asked, "May I try so..eth..ng?"
