Unfamiliar Surroundings (Open)

[Jason]

Jason shrugged.
"Well with the city below us I'm pretty sure you'll get the experiance of a city. And the one below us is the biggest one I have ver seen. But somehow it's pretty easy to get around. You can find about anything you need there." he said as they started walking again. He noticed a major similarity between him and Shin. the two of them had ne reservations of expressing their curiousity about things that they could learn from. Jason figured they would probably hang out quite a bit more.

[Shin Daisuke]

Shin was full of questions, and Jason seemed to have quite a few of the answers. He liked the guy, as he seemed to be nice enough, and treated Shin as though they had been friends for ages. It was people like that who Shin really enjoyed meeting. They always had interesting things to say. The elevator dinged again, and they stepped out onto a new hallway, filled with various students going about their busyness.

“Say… Is there a place where I can practice my magic? Without having to be in class?” He asked thoughtfully as he pulled out a blank card from his empty deck and absentmindedly did the appear and disappear card trick as he looked out the window.

Jason nodded once more at the question.
"Actually yes there is. There is a vast training ground. I visit myself a decent amount since alot of my spells are combat oriented. Though I have seen others simply practice their magic there. I could show you one of the areas I like to train in myself if you'de like." he said as they made there way down the hall.
"Now what was the room number for your place?" he asked looking at the numbers listed on the doors.

“That’d be pretty cool” Shin said with a smile. He wanted to see the training grounds for himself, and if Jason was willing to show him, all the better. He fingered his cards carefully, realizing that if they went down there, perhaps they could have a sparring match to better see how each magic style was utilized. It would be a fun and hopefully educational session.

As they approached the corridor, Shin remembered back to the sheet he had given to the teacher. It had his room number on it, and his memory was pretty good, so it only took him a few seconds to recall the number. “Room 34” He said as it clicked in his head. He looked about, realizing that they were already at room 29, and so his couldn’t be too far. And so they moved on down the hall, Shin counting the rooms till they saw the 34 embroidered next to the door. “This would be it” He said as he opened the door.

He wondered if perhaps there was a magical lock, or if he had yet to be given a key, but stepped in regardless, seeing his books all in place, and the mask sat carefully upon it’s stand. Peering out the window, he could see the courtyard below him, and further down, he saw a large area where he could see spells exploding and flashes of light emanating from. “That must be it then?” He asked rhetorically, pointing out the window. He looked down and thought about it a second. “How good are you with heights?” He asked with an almost devilish grin.

"Yep thats the training grounds. Or at least on of the many areas. A good spot. Neutral conditions for battle and a nice even surface. Good way to have a relaxing test of skill. He gave a small chuckle at the question about how he felt with heights.
"Very accustomed to them. At least now. I would guess you'de like to go ahead and jump out the window to get down there." he said with a small grin. He himself could fall from more or less any height and land without a problem due to one of his spells. Granted that wasn't the spell's original or main use. But he knew it worked perfectly.
