Lunch and planning. (Phae)

[Jason]

In one of the many food court like areas of the Academy Jason could be found sitting along at one of the tables with his lunch of shrimp and pasta with a glass of iced tea in front of him. He had a bit of the shrimp on a fork in his right hand and in his left was a letter from home he was reading. Jason had been keeping in touch with his friends and family since he ad left. Granted he really couldn't tell anyone but his parents abou the Academy he still did make an effort to keep in touch with everyone back home.

He couldn't help but smile when he heard that everyone back home had actually been able to get time off either school or work to arrange for him to come down for a visit. A plane ticket had been ordered for him already but his surprise was the fact he saw a second ticket. The letter said if he had anyone he wanted to bring along he was more than welcome to. After all his family wanted to meet the kind of peopl he was getting to know at the Academy.

Jason thought for a moment. He had already made a decent amount of friends in his short time here. Most of them he'd be happy to take along. The only reason he couldn't invite Tavia or Chephros was simply due to the fact he didn't know how the Academy would feel about him parading around someone not human since he'd want to show whoever he bought with him the place he lived at for most of his life.
Makes me wish the rest of the world was just as accepting as myself and a decent amount of the people here. He thought but decided not to dwell on that. it wasn't anything he could do anything about at least for the moment. So he was now wondering if he'd go alone or have someone to bring along with him considering he'd have to catch the plane at a point where it would be a long flight when alone.

[Phae]

Phaedra smiled as she entered the cafeteria and got in line. The rather attractive redhead was feeling much better lately but she was still dealing with a lot of her problems. She would eventually be allright but what she needed more than anything was a vacation, a chance to just get out of this school and do normal teenage stuff. But she hadn't been able to talk much to Blacky about plannning a groundside visit lately and so she was stuck here at the academy but contemplating a visit home soon to talk to her family and see what was going on there. Luckily, her family didn't know she had been pregnate, though she desperatly wanted to introduce Blacky to them. Even though Blacky was a bit of a egotistical guy she had a feeling that his happy go lucky and easy going attitude would definatly be a positive for him.

Phae ordered one of her favorite dishes of spaghetti and meat sauce. Getting a bottle of tea she paid the fee and then turned to find a seat. Her eyes ran across the cafeteria when she saw Jason sitting by himself. He looked deep in thought and maybe she could help him with his problems. She could try at any rate. So with her short skirt swaying on her well formed legs she went to go sit with him. Wearing a fuzzy turtle neck of a soft blue color that only made her hair brighter and her eyes accented she sat down.

"Hey! Hope you don't mind if I join you. What's up?" she asked as she added some parmassean cheese to her pasta and then began to eat as she looked over at Jason.

[Jason]

Jason looked up from his letter at a familar voice of someone asking if they culd join him. He smiled when he saw who it was and gave a nod.
"Like you would really have to ask." he said with a small chuckle. He haden't seen her since the time they had talked in the infirmary. He was glad to see she seemed much more pleasent now compared to last time. He took her appearence into note as well and was slightly put out that she was already taken.
Meh I would mostly flirt anyways. No more than i'd do now. He thought.
"So how have you been lately. I would have tried finding you to talk again but with the size of this place and all.... Well you probably know about that better than me." he said with a shrug takeing a few bites from his meal to let her respond.

[Phae]

Phae chuckled at his comment. As if she had to ask. Well of course she did she didn't have anything else to do and she really didn't know him well enough to just plop down and take a seat he might be saving for someone else. She smiled as she sat down smoothing her skirt underneath her as she did so. She took her food off its cafeteria issued mauve colored tray and sat it aside as she shook and then opened her tea.

"Well, you're right this school is huge. But if you're looking for me the training grounds is a good bet. If not, room 407 is mine and Richards. You can come up any time. It's a bit messy, he is the ultimate guy. But I bet you wouldn't mind too much." she chuckled softly.

It was true. Blacky was a guy. Dirty clothes, dirty dishes, a very teenage boy room was what they lived in but Phae loved it. She felt so much more at home there among his and her teenage universe. Though it was a bit more girlified now.

"So, what did you want anyway? I mean, had you found me that is." she asked looking up at him as she took a bit of her spaghetti.

[Jason]

"Interesting considering I'm down there alot myself. Guess I just don't show up at the right time. And I'll make sure to drop by some time. I'd be interested in meeting Richard at some point." He said and took a drink of his tea

"As for what I wanted. Well I consider you a friend after our first meeting. And I make a point on checking up on my friends. Just something I feel should be done." He said and paused to eat a bite of his pasta.

"Sp how have you been doing lately? You look alot better now." he was considerate enough not to openly mention why she had been in the infirmary though he also didn't completely avoid it. He felt it was not his place to bring it up. If she wanted to talk about it she could but he felt it wasn't a matter that he should pry into.

[Phae]

Phae smiled brightly as he told her that he wanted to meet Richard and would look for her in the places that she would be found. She nodded softly, she figured that if Jason didn't mind Richard's cockiness then they would probably get along. But most people took Blacky's attitude and seemed to think that it wasn't worth it to get to know him. But Phae knew other wise she had gotten in and now they were closer than ever.

"Richard, well.. he's sweet. But it takes a special person to get to know him. I love him completely. But I'll admit he's a bit cocky. But he definatly has that spark." she chuckled softly shrugging. "He's hard to explain you'll see when you meet him."

He asked her how she was doing and she new exactly what he meant. For the time they had met and the only time they had spent with each other was when she had lost the child. Her only child having never gotten to meet her and never even gotten to try being a mother. She smiled though and nodded.

"I'm doing just fine. Getting over things. Moving past things. It helps to have close friends and a boyfriend at times like these. They've all been really supportive lately." she said with a soft smile. "And what of you, what have you been up to lately?" she asked.

[Jason]

"I'm sure I can handle the way he is. I've dealt with my fair share of cocky people and most of them were just jerks really. I'm sure that if someone like you finds him to be a good person than it's likely true." He said with a shrug and a smile. Most people didn't bother Jason in truth.

"I'm glad to hear you've had a lot of support. You seem to have some damned good friends for them to do that. As for what I've been up to... Well it might interest you to be honest. I made the acquaintance with a summoner named Zaire. She and I had a little test of abilities. Naturally I got wiped out pretty quickly.Lost my staff too. But I've joined up with the Revolution." he said with a slight smile. Being part of something always felt nice in a way.

[Phae]

Phae grinned. He was right. Blacky had such a good heart and soul deep down inside that cocky exterior was an extremely sweet and good soul. Phae took another bite of her spaghetti trying to stretch out her stomach to normal porportions since she hadn't been eating much in such a long time her stomach had shrunken. But she was doing her best for Blacky. Jason began talking of Ziare and all Phae could do was smile and nod.

"Yes, I was aware. I'm the Director of Information Security. I know about things before anyone else does. Even you. Welcome to the group I'm glad you passed. You'll have to come by my office so we can get you a title and all signed up. It's great to be getting new members. So.. how badly did she kick your butt? Ooo and more importantly which summon did she use?"

[Jason]

"I see. Well yes she did take me down pretty quickly. I belive she called her summon Sheeta. Seemed like a dark version of her. Took out my staff during that fight. Had to start useing a new weapon because of it." he said and paused to take a bite.

"Though I'm glad to be part of your group. I like it's goals." He said seeing his food was finished. he never made a mess but he tended to eat rather wuickly. He leaned back in his chair getting more relaxed.
"But I'll have to let you know that after I get signed up so everything is official I'll be gone for a little while. my parents payed for air fare to have me visit for a while. i could take a portal but I don't think they know about the system as all they know is that I go to the Academy." he said and took a sip of tea.
"They also sent fare for a frined. Hmmm... Interested? Could be a fun little vacation." he said.

[Phae]

So he was going to be gone for a while it seemed. She smiled gently as she continued eating. Slow and deliberate bites making sure to chew completely it took her a long time to eat but anyone that understood or knew about her past knew a fair reason of why that was. She took a sip of her tea and nearly choked when he invited her to go with him on vacation groundside. She swallowed her tea and looked at him with wide blue eyes.

"You want to take me? But why? Don't you have some wicked best friend or something that would be more fun and less of a burden than me?" she asked cocking a red tinted brow.

For all the life of her she couldn't figure out why it was the he wanted to take her and not someone he knew better. Not that she didn't want to go. She actually did, a vacation was something she had in mind for some time now to just get away from the academy and the haunting things that it brought to her mind. Maybe work some stuff out of her system and become more of the girl she had been when she entered the academy so long ago.

[Jason]

Jason smiled at her reaction. He wasn't surprised as he dropped it rather suddenly.
"Well to be honest no not really. I've made a few friends here and there. But most of them have only been through training. And as you are someone I call a friend and you are right here I can't see any reason not to invite you." he said with a shrug sipping his tea. He didn't know Phae well but he knew her a bit better than others he had met even durng their short amount of time in the infirmary. It only seemed natural he'd invite her along particularly as she was right here.
"So the question is if you want to go or not. I'll understand if not. I wouldn't be thrilled at you saying no but as this is out of the blue I can understand you not wanting to go." he said wanting her to know this was an invitation to a friend not him pressuring her to come along with him.

[Phae]

She sat back for a moment sipping her tea and thought about it. He wasn't going to force her to go. Not that he could anyway she could just kick his ass and leave him bloody and seeping on the floor. That wasn't someting she was adversely worried about. No, in fact she was just thinking about how Blacky might take it. But he was so busy lately and he might not mind if Phae went with Jason to visit his family. It wasn't like they were together and Phae had been whinning about a groundside visit for so long this would get him out of it.

"Hmmm.. well sure why not. As long as we aren't going anywhere near Georgia I'm good. And so long as Blacky doesn't object. So unless you hear other wise I'm game. Where are we going by the way?" she asked.

She knew it was America. She tended to get a lot of attention when she visited the states. A red headed German girl that was toned, hot, and knew how to dress. Yeah she got looks but that wasn't important she just wanted to have some fun and get out of this academy. Let her hair down and experience a bit of normal teenage life.

[Jason]

Jason's face brightend at mention of her wanting to go as soon as she talked with Blacky about it. From the way she said it thing seemed like they wouldn't be a problem.
"Well we are going to head out to Oregon where I grew up. The city is called Springfield. Smaller than some but it's a nice place. A few malls here and there plus alot of other things. it's about as average as it can get which is actually a nice thing." He said. granted what he told her wasn't much about the city. But it definatly wasn't Georgia.

"The plane leaves in two days and apparently my folks are haveing my best friend drive my car to the airport so we can drive home from Portland. it's about a two hour drive to my place from there.' He continued and took a sip of tea.

[Phae]

Phae smiled as she listened to him talking about his home town. She was from Berlin a huge city with tons of people and ripe with history. She loved her home town and wouldn't give it up for the world but to go to a small home town of a friend would be nice. Granted she would probably get more attention there only because she was German, red headed, had an accent and wasn't from around there. But she didn't care it would be nice to go.

"Sure sounds great. I think it'll be fun and I"m kinda excited to go." she said brightly.

She finished all she was going to eat of her spaghetti and just sat back sipping her tea already thinking about what she needed to pack and everything. She sighed softly as she knew it would be fun she would have to leave Del at home but the little jhereg could take care of herself and Blacky would help Phae was sure.

"So when do we leave?" she asked returning her attention back to Jason.

[Jason]

Jason smiled hearing she'd be glad to come along. he had really been looking forward to being able to bring a friend from this place. And the fact he'd get to spend some time as an average person again at least for a while was nice. A break from this place sounded like something they both needed.

"Well In about two days or so." he said looking at the tickets that had been sent.
"We'd have to take a portal that puts us about four miles from the airport but getting a cab isn't hard." He said thinking about it. Like I said my folks don't know much about magical things besides the fact that I attend this school so they aren't familiar with the portal system. Still it's a nice thing for them to pay air fare." he said.
