A Humbler Beginning

[Gake]

Walking through the halls another time is a young apprentice who got his butt kicked the last time he had enter. This time is different from before because over the past few days this low life apprentice just became an amateur Warlock. It was obvious that he is a warlock now because hanging on the back of his shirt was his imp he just summoned.

In his high pitch voice the demon screamed out ”Hey! This place is shiny. Where are we anyway, bub?”

Giving off a sigh Gake then slowly repeated towards his little companion, “Like I told you a million times we are in the Arcane Academy for magic users.”

Staring up towards the ceiling the demon then crawled up Gake’s back and hung his arms over Gake’s shoulder and replied in an awe fashion obviously not paying attention to the question and asked again, “So what are we doing here?”

Giving off a sigh of annoyance, Gake decided to distract the little imp by floating one of his energy crystals in front of the little imp mesmerizing it. The imp really seemed to like this trick a lot. If only he would be quite more often.

[Menboku Rakuten Eiki]

The seven foot tall kid was sitting next to a wall, his sword wrapped up in tattered cloth to his left. His eyes were closed, and his face was pointing upward. He was silent, very silent, showing no hint of movement set aside the movement of his stomach as he inhaled and exhaled through his nostrils. His knees were rather close to his chest, his elbows resting on them, and his hands flatly downward. One could easily tell he was resting, but most would think he'd been asleep, due to how quiet he was, and his relaxed look. Suddenly, his eyes shot open, he heard something that sounded really annoying.. Something that made him want to punch a baby. Something so high pitched he could barely stand it. He heard an imp. He looked to his left, and glared at the imp as it talked annoyingly about the same things over again, like asking where it was.

He pushed himself up onto his feet, than leaned over and gripped the sword by it's white-cloth clad hilt, and began to tie it around his waist, the hilt and tip facing exactly opposite directions on the back of his waist. He walked in front of the guy with the imp, and held his hand out. He felt like talking to someone, and he wanted to get close enough to the imp so he could choke it. He smiled, and said, "Hello, my name's Eiki. May I ask yours?"

When Eiki introduced himself to the odd pair both Gake and his imp stopped what they were doing as they looked up at the huge figure in front of them. For a few moments the pair was dead silent quite unable to say anything when the imp suddenly squealed in a high pitch voice, “AHHHHH!” as he jumped off of Gake’s back onto the ground. The sudden squeal made everyone, including Gake, twitch a little.

Now the little imp was running around Eiki and Gake screaming in a loud voice, “AH! It’s so ugly and so big! AHHHHH!”

Twitching with great annoyance Gake then stomped his foot on the ground angrily which caused the imp to crash into an invisible wall knocking him to the floor. In an angry tone Gake yelled at the little imp, “Kurkizes! Can’t you just shut your mouth up already?”

This sudden outburst caused the little imp to break off into an even more annoying cry. Placing his left hand over his face Gake then moved his right hand above the imp making a sound proof box that surrounded the imp. Upon realizing that no one can hear him, Kurkizes stopped his crying and looked up Gake.

Breathing an uneasy sigh of relief Gake then looked up at the stranger, and replied as he took his hand, “Name is Gake, and that little chatter box is named Kurkizes.”

Still in the box, Kurkizes waved at Eiki when Gake glanced downed on him.

The annoying little imp caused the huge boy to twitch, and he glared at hit. He felt like punching a baby, and he wanted to choke that thing to death. When it began to cry, Eiki tried to shut out the noise, and closed his eyes, he was getting aggravated. Maybe he shouldn't have gone up to the two. He kept trying to shut out the annoying squeals of the annoying little rascal, until he could hear it no more. Then, he sighed, and said, "Hello, Gake. And uh.. Why is Kurkizes so... for lack of a better word, annoying?" Eiki felt like his eardrums were blown out, and he couldn't hear anything from his left ear.

[blue]"Eiki! There you are!"[/blue] "Eh, I forgot, this is Misumi. Misumi, this is Gake." Eiki put his arm around the thirteen year old girl and grinned, awaiting the answer of why the imp was so.. stupid?

[Gake]

Seeing a small girl appear from behind the Eiki, Gake gave off a polite wave and said kindly while smiling, “Misumi? That’s a nice name. I didn’t see you for a minute since you were behind your big guardian.”

After that little nice introduction Gake gave off a small laugh as he stood up right again. This brief peace would not last long because just as he was getting comfortable Kurkizes decided to try and break his way out of the box by casting a fire bolt at the wall. The attack did not destroy the wall, but it did cause a bang noise that slightly annoyed Gake. Looking down at Kurkizes, Gake then kneeled down next to the box and started to glare at Kurkizes. Kurkizes tried to put on an innocent smile as Gake asked in stern tone, “OK Kurkizes I will let you out, but you better behave this time. Do you understand?”

After the question was asked Kurkizes closed his eyes and nodded rapidly in agreement. Closing his right hand and then opening them Gake release Kurkizes. As soon as the box was release Kurkizes ran right up to Misumi, and placed his right claw gently on her left knee as he looked up with bright smile, intending to be cute.

“Kurkizes get back here!” Gake shouted at the imp causing Kurkizes to immediately run behind Gake. Once Kurkizes made it behind Gake’s right leg, he would say something in demonic before he leaned over to look at the girl in a playful manner. In a tired tone Gake then apologized, “We are so very sorry for this, right Kurkizes.” As he said that last part Gake would move his right leg a little causing the imp to nod in agreement.

[blue]"No problem, no problem at all,"[/blue] Misumi said kindly. "Yeah, it's alright." Eiki agreed, or so they might think. Damnable imp.. Get over here so I can castrate you and choke you..

Eiki grinned, and since the imp was somewhat of an elemental, Eiki lit him on fire using his magic. "Holy crud, you're imps going crazy." Eiki laughed as the fire would engulf the imp and cause him much, much pain and maybe scald his arms and legs.

[Gake]

Out of nowhere the imp suddenly caught on fire, and since he was gripping Gakes leg it caused Gake’s black pants to catch on fire. Caught completely off guard by the fire Gake kicked backed his right leg and fell to the ground trying to put it out.

At the same time this was happening Kurkizes was now running around in circle screaming he was on fire. It did not hurt as much as people would think, but it gave him an excuse to run around on fire, and he took this chance to do that. As he was running Kurkizes ran into Eiki’s left leg catching it on fire to now. After that the imp would fall back onto the ground and start rolling around.

"Son of a-- DAMN!" Eiki kicked the imp after it collided with his leg, and he used ice magic to put it out. He did the same to Gake, and turned to face the imp, and held his right hand out. He glared, trying to focus on the retarded imp, and quickly used an ice spell, not to put him out, but to freeze him, so that he could no longer be so annoying. Eiki sighed, and looked at the black burn on his pants, and kicked the floor. "I dislike that imp.. Can I choke him?" Eiki said while pointing at the most likely frozen imp, an angry look on his face.

Misumi just giggled, and hugged Eiki. He blushed, and looked down. "Nevermind." He lifted his head, and looked at Misumi. She still doesn't know she's stronger than me at all, does she? Oh well. As long as she lives a normallife, I'm happpy. The girls long purple hair felt warm against his arm as she hugged him.

"Hey, Gake, why do you have such an annoying imp anyway?"

[Gake]

The ice spell missed the imp, barely, so now the imp was not frozen or on fire any more.

Getting up with part of his pants burned Gake stood up and stared at the imp. In an angry tone Gake then yelled, “Kurkizes what the hell?”

Put on an innocent face the imp looked down as he swayed from left to right, “I’m sorry master. You see, I was, just of… Trying out a new spell.”

Staring at the imp Gake then inquire, “Are you sure, what is this new spell called?”

Looking up at Gake with a nervous look, ”Er, name? Well, it is my new Flaming Nudged attack.” [/u]

Giving off a sigh annoyance Gake then gave up, “Fine then just be quite.”

With a cheerful nod the little imp had a happy face as he began to go off into a tiny dance.

Looking up Gake muttered to himself, “Oh my lord. I do not deserve this.”

Looking up at Eiki, Gake then said in a depress tone, “This little dancing imp is here because I want to experiment with new power. The book said that imps were lively, and a great first minion.”

"It said they were LIVELY, not extraordinarily annoying and a half? And I doubt they're really all that great.. I mean look at him, he set his master's pants on fire... Well, actually, that was me."

Eiki looked to the side, and began to whistle, placing his gloved hands into his pockets. He then looked at Gake, to see what his reaction would be, and than at the imp, with the look saying "I'm gonna kill you" in his eyes. Misumi giggled again, and looked at the imp. [blue]"He's not all that annoying, at least not enough to risk you pants over, is he, Eiki?[/blue] Eiki sighed.

"Aww, now I feel guilty for it.."

[Gake]

“So you set my, oh forget it. This imp is annoying that I rather just blame it on him. He won’t mind.”

Now looking down at the ever dancing imp Gake just sighed as he tried to explain, “When I said power, I meant my own power. Since I am unable to wield arcane magic I have been trying to find a new source of energy for my spells. So I became a warlock, and started using darker magic. Unfortunately, I am a novice in this art, and can only summon him.”

"Well is there any way you can un-summon him or something?"

Staring at the dancing imp, Eiki was speechless. The imp was retarded. He basically had no idea of what was going on, did he? Eiki sighed and walked over to the wall, leaning on his back, placing his right foot on the wall. That things really annoying. I hope Gake has a way of un-summoning him so that all of us will be less annoyed, and maybe nothing chaotic will happen anymore. I just lit the imp on fire, he did the rest.

[Gake]

“Yeah there are many ways to un-summon him.”

At that moment the imp suddenly stopped dancing and looked up at Gake with puppy dog eyes.

Looking at Kurkizes, Gake shook his head as he replied, “You know that if I un-summon you then I can’t use your power to cast spells.”

With a shrug Gake just followed Misumi to the wall where Eiki was sitting. Now smiling, Kurkizes started to skip after Gake as he walked towards the wall. As soon as they got to the wall the little imp then began to inch his way closer to Misumi until he was right next to her. Just standing there Kurkizes smiled upwards and fidget as if wanting Misumi to pet him.

Eiki glared at the little imp as if to scare it away, not liking it one bit. Dang that things annoying.. how can that guy stand having it around all the time?!

Misumi sat down next to Eiki, and smiled at the little imp, placing her right hand on top of it's head, giggling. Eiki closed his eyes, looked forward, and sighed. "Today's been pretty boring so far," Eiki said, pushing himself, standing upright. He than looked at Gake with his black eyes, and grinned. He probably knew what Eiki wanted to do, and probably he didn't. If he did, that would be good. Things would go much faster. If he didn't, though, things would be much slower, as Eiki would have to explain, most likely. He motioned for them to follow him, and began to walk down the hall. Misumi got up, ang ran up to Eiki, and than leapt onto his shoulders. He laughed, and put his hands on her knees, so that she wouldn't fall down.

"Come on."

[Gake]

With a shrug Gake just followed Eiki figuring that there was not much to worry about right now. In a very happy mood the little imp skipped right ahead of Gake and started to walk backwards while in front of Eiki making funny faces.

In a more relax tone Gake then said out loud, “Kurkizes get back here. You know what happens when you get to far away.”

With a cheering sound the little imp ran back to Gake, and started to run around him as he follow Eiki.
