Bored once again having a break from class, Tristan was on the Training grounds as usual. He'd already beaten one rather insignificant challenger who didn't really know any better and who was going to be limping for quite a few days afterward. At this point, Tristan's coat was off and slung across his near Zanbatou sized sword which was stabbed into the ground next to one of the many boulders that littered the foregrounds here. Igneus was, unusually, not on said boulder, and was instead high in the air, getting in some acrobatic practice whilst thinking about some things that had come to his attention.
The hunter was practicing his martial art, Ninjutsu, mainly going over series of movements in what are known as Kata. Kata are sets of movements that create a routine when strung together. Now, in a fight, your never going to break down into Kata as no opponents are going to just fall into striking the perfect spots to be blocked by your movements, but they did hide special moves that could easily be incorporated into combat, such as blocking with a shuto then performing a scissor kick into a reinforced back fist such as displayed in a yellow belt level kata.
He'd started off slow, but as he recalled the movements from ages and ages ago in his memory, Tristan began to move faster and faster until he was a blur, tearing up the ground beneath his feet. There really weren't too many people on the grounds as it was around one o'clock and most people had a class at the moment, so it would probably be a while before Tristan had an opponent, so solitary training was what he was stuck with at the moment.
What Tristan didn't know was what Igneus was keeping to himself. He had been thinking about a way to become human. Not actually becoming human...but if he could change size through a transformation, why not other things, or at least a human. Not only would that give Tristan someone to spar with, but it would give Igneus the ability to gain even more ability by enrolling in the school as a humanoid being. There was only so much he could learn by sleeping through Tristan's classes after all.

Heading towards the training grounds after another magical concept class was a green hair apprentice with a small demon trailing behind him. During the entire class Gake had to keep the little imp locked up in a small box. Now that the imp was free he spent the time running around Gake asking the same questions that Gake has answered a million times before hand.
Entering the training ground Gake gave off a sigh of annoyance at the little imp that kept on talking. Not concerning himself with who was in the immediate Gake turned towards his demon and shouted in a loud voice, “For the millionth time I am heading towards the training grounds to practice mixing magic. So would you just shut up already?”
As he yelled this at the imp a small imp size wall would go flying straight towards the imp causing him to land on his back. Laying on his back the small imp spotted something flying in the air. Then abandoning what little common sense he had, the imp jumped to his feet and shot a fire ball towards the flying creature.
Dropping his jaw in utter amazement of the stupidity of his imp, Gake closed his eyes as he leaned back and said to myself, “O God, why do you punish me so?”

Igneus' power was on par with Tristan's, much like most students companions. The foot long black being in the air rather easily saw the fireball, and a bit of calculating tragectory and the originator of the blast was identified. The fuck is that? The dragon thought to Tristan, who paused in the middle of a purple belt level kata. [Demon...Looks like an imp.] He held his position which was slightly precarious though his super human ability kept him well balanced. In any case, Igneus' wings flicked around and his body circled the small fireball as it came in.
Ofcourse, he didn't need to avoid it, but practice always helped for when it counted. Now, figuring that something that threw fire would have resistance to it, Igneus' maw opened to reveal a crackling yellow glow. Momentarily, as the dragon hovered, a blast of lightning the size of a soft ball rocketed toward the imp with a ferocity that could take the branch off a tree. As the ball would come close to hitting the ground, "That thing yours?" In a deep voice that echoed across the field. The voice was directed toward the green haired man.
A seconds deliberation over the appearance coupled with Tristan's superior senses made it clear that this was the one he'd stopped Chephros from annihilating that while ago. Tristan hadn't seen him since, so it was enough of a surprise...never caught the guys name though.
High above Igneus ignored the goings on below and continued flying around, his mouth closed once more.

Throwing up his left arm in the air clear wall appear out of nowhere, and absorbed the small attack from the creature. Now focusing his attention on the little imp, Gake picked the imp by his back and stared straight at the imps face. In a cold voice Gake then asked the imp, “What the hell do you think you are doing?”
The imp then placed on a small smile on his face and simply shrugged. Getting kind of tired of putting up with the imp, Gake simply dropped the imp. Now looking at the stranger in the battle arena Gake placed his right hand behind his head and replied trying to pass off what just happen, “Heh, sorry about that. Kurkizes tends to do random things like that when he is bored. I hope he didn’t cause any trouble.”

Tristan returned to his Kata, whirling around and going about the motions. "Igneus is stronger than half of the students in the school so it was no big deal." More motions and a grunt instead of the loud roar that usually came at the end of the Kata's called a Kiai. Tristan walked toward the younger man, not a bead of sweat on his forehead despite having been through near a dozen Kata. "Your that guy who was fighting Chephros aren't you?" He asked rhetorically as he already knew the answer. "Never did catch your name."
He came to a stop a couple of yards away. He remembered what he'd caught of that fight. With Shireiutz he'd stopped some odd shards that looked like they'd come from a barrier after kicking back Chephros. Had they been in the Training grounds, Tristan probably wouldn't have done any thing, but luckily for this guy, the fight ensued in the halls. That forced Tristan to stop the fight and probably save green boys ass.
Chephros wasn't one to fuck with unless you were vastly superior to him. Any other power comparison could end in a serious ass kicking on your part. Especially if the demon was pissed off. Igneus kept on soaring around, now watching for any action from down below. Without further ado, Tristan said in a very clear voice, "Let's see what ya got." If what ever this guy had been doing lately was enough to last him a while against Tristan, maybe he'd be ready for another go at Chephros.

Swallowing the saliva that has built up in his throat Gake then placed his left hand to his side, fingers pointed towards the ground, and then replied in a clear voice, “Well my name is Gake, I don’t believe I caught your name either.”
Now spreading his feet, shoulder length apart, Gake waited a few seconds for a reply. Now looking straight at his opponent and his flying companions Gake then said, “I am up for a spar, but I don’t know if I would be much of a challenge to a person of your caliber.”
Be careful. Some of these students should not be messed with. Take it nice and slowly.

Tristan slid his right foot back, his right arm bending slightly so it came across his torso. His eyes were steady behind his glasses as he looked down to his opponent to be. Tristan could tell this guy was a bit nervous, but Tristan wasn't like Chephros so an ass beating was all any one ever had to fear of the hunter unless they'd killed another student. "Names Tristan. Don't sell your self too short. Power sometimes doesn't mean much to skill. I've seen the tiniest fighters from the Shaolin arts take on the largest of the Karate black belts and win." His stance hardened slightly, his hands raising further and his knees bending.
"And magic throws a whole `nother spin onto every thing about combat." Little bit of reassurance before he was off. Not too fast, about half speed. Starting off simple, Tristan's body whirled around and his right foot would swing in a wheel kick aimed for about the shoulder level of Gake's right side. If it was a spar he wanted, it was a spar he'd get. Normally this man didn't hold too much back, even went all out in some cases, but here he'd go easy. For now at least.
[Hmm.] He thought to himself while he attacked, [What if I get something that limits my power...I'd get more challenges that way at least.] Nice thought. He might act on it too...though perhaps when he couldn't get a challenge out of any body. Question was, who to go to for such an item?

The whole little speech about power being different did not seem to sink in since Gake just lost all interested as soon as Tristan started speaking. Then just when Tristen finally stopped ranting Gake notice that Tristan came to attack. Since Gake was not really paying much attention he got hit his shoulder with the kick.
This attacked caused Gake to get knocked back a little distance. As he was falling backwards Gake seemed to of stopped in mid air as if he landed on some kind of object. Gake had simply pointed his left fingers behind him and an invisible wall appears stopping his fall. Getting back to his feet Gake simply shock a little to get the feeling all across his body. With a small grin Gake then replied outloud, “Hey sorry about that. It appeared that I was falling asleep as you where talking.”
Forming his hands into a tight fist and then releasing them slowly Gake then added, “It seems like you got a lot of power so it is ok for you to talk about how boring power is, but for me, in any case. I will wait until I get that power before I decide if it is important or not.”
Now with his left fingers facing the ground Gake tighten his right fist waiting for his opponent to attack again with a similar move. This time, however, there will be an invisible wall to block the attack. Once the attack would be block, Gake would slide his right foot forward slightly causing a razor sharp wall to be launched straight towards Tristan.
I hope he isn’t a demon because I am getting bored of fighting them.

Tristan raised an eyebrow as his foot returned to the ground. It had indeed looked like Gake had hit something instead of simple flight. Then his mind flickered back to what he'd deflected when he stepped in, stopping Chephros...The barriers. Opening his senses, Tristan could feel the magic powering the wall that had stopped his opponent from hitting the ground. It was simple enough to do, though he couldn't really explain how he could. Ever since he completed the rank exams and became a mage class, he could feel these sorts of things, identifying whether an attack was backed by magic or not.
Now when Gake stopped speaking and his hands noticably changed for the attentive Tristan, the hunter could feel this new wall. He grinned. As if magic this weak could stop him. It hadn't stopped the demon, and last Tristan knew, he was stronger than Chephros. Charging again, Tristan pumped his arm full of power in an obvious attack. Thing was, he wasn't going after Gake, so a haymaker was optable. A full force left haymaker should be more than enough power to smash through the barrier that Gake had placed up and even keep going to tag the younger man.
After Tristan's fist would meet the wall, The spike shot out. Only, it stopped, making a visual display show around Tristan's torso. The spike stopped a good inch and a half away from the surface of Tristan's vest, which was enchanted with a dual sensing barrier that had been placed by a master enchanter that Tristan had helped quite some years ago. The enchantment was going to last for several more years before it finally faded, but for now, it was powerful enough to stop attacks from even some of the teachers. Tristan himself couldn't plow through this barrier if someone els was wearing it, chakra or not.

The barrier was still standing, and the spike was launched straight towards Tristan’s chest as it should. However, it seemed like Tristan had a magical barrier of his own that protected him from the spike. It doesn’t seem like a full body barrier, but one could never be completely sure after just one attack.
After a brief second at the stop Gake only smirk as he lifted his fingers from the ground and pointed them straight towards Tristan. This movement would do two thing, first it would send a wall as big as his opponent towards him opponent to daze him, and then it would send Gake sliding backwards a few feet.
Anfter he got some distance on his opponent Gake would move his left fingers to face the grounds, and bring up his right palm to face Tristan. With a grin, Gake would spread his fingers out, and immediately bend them to face his opponent. This last movement will send ten sharp shards straight towards his opponent. Three of those shards would have been laced with destruction magic to explode upon contact with anything heading towards Tristan’s chest, two would head towards Tristan’s left and right arms, and the remaining would be heading towards Tristan’s lower body.
Come on gake, keep up with the pace. I am sure this should catch him off guard. Those explosives should distract him while the other shards priece his skin.
ooc: it's all cool, the spike was suppose to head towards his legs, but chest works out

Not breaking through, Tristan cursed in a low voice. It would seem that in order to blast through the barriers, he'd have to do just that. The wall sent him flying back, and did startle him since he hadn't enough room to see it coming. His foresight against these things was decreased since he wasn't using his eyes, but his core...his mind was feeling for the energy that produced them but it made them harder to see and react to.
The hunter hit the ground and slid back along the grass, not resisting the flow since it was sending him straight back to his blade. His coat was tossed aside and the sword excavated from the ground as his feet stopped in the grass. His minds eye, for lack of a better description of how he sensed the barriers, picked up on a similar attack to what he had blocked the day the two adversaries had crossed paths. Three of the were different though, the magic powering them seemed to have changed it slightly, more dark, more chaotic.
Activating his single metal spell, Tristan's left hand opened in front of him and his blade hovered a little over an inch from the palm of the gauntlet. The part diamond blade whirled around at incredible speeds, creating a shield that easily shot aside the barrier shards, the same way it did before. Only this time those three chaotic shards, on impact with the sword, exploded, and launched Tristan back. His hand quickly grabbed the hilt of his sword so that he wouldn't loose it as he flew back.
"So you wanna play the explosion game huh!?" He boomed across the vast distance that now parted the two combatants. Shireiutz stabbed into the ground again, stopping Tristan dead. The mage charged, wrenching it free, he deposited it onto his back by way of 'Remote Control' and drew Ebony and Ivory, his replica .45's. "Chaos blast!" And both guns pointed forward. Ebony, the black and brown gun, was in his right hand, Ivory, white and silver, in his left. Correspondingly colored balls of element charged at the barrels of each gun. Light in Ivory, Darkness in Ebony.
They grew bigger and bigger until they were each two inches across. Tristan skidded to a halt and braced himself, Igneus high above now looking interested at the fight while hovering steady. A noise erupted from the guns, typical sound of a beam taking off as the two opposing elements shot out of the guns with solid bullets at their heads. The bullets them selves had a relatively weak enchantment to pierce most armor, it was about at a lower spell-casters level in comparison to magical objects. They could be bought at any gun store in the city and was where Tristan got most of his rounds. Alone, the bullets might be able to blow through a single one of Gake's barriers and just sink into the flesh, but with the chaos blasts swirling about with them, the force was severely amplified and could likely shatter a good ten of these barriers that Tristan had come against so far.
Once they came within two feet of Gake, the beams would fully merge and the namesake of this attack reared its head. The opposing elements of light and dark canceled each other out in a way unlike fire and water or some other might. The blast was pure destruction. The actual way the blast was could be compared to anti matter being exposed to normal matter, only on a much, much smaller scale. Seeing as a single anti matter proton touching a normal proton could take out all of Maine, where as this explosion had only about a twenty foot radius, it was easy to see the power difference.
In any case, Unless Gake used a vastly stronger barrier than what he'd been using, he was likely to be blown away. If he used such a powerful barrier before the range in which the beams would react, the explosion would set off against the barrier, likely demolishing it but causing much less damage to Gake, even avoiding him entirely.

In a loud voice Gake then shouted back in replied to Tristan’s remark, “I just do what I do, nothing more!”
Now it looked like his opponent was going to go to the attack and try to hit Gake with some kind of attack. Like Gake would ever allow that to happen without a fight. Now Gake brought his right arm up to shoulder level, and extended his left forward keeping the elbow towards his side (all fingers pointing towards the ground). As he was doing Tristan shot off to beams of magic straight towards Gake. Not wanting to take the chance of using any of his barriers Gake swung his left arm to his right causing Gake to slide to the left out of the beam’s path.
He managed to slide out of the beams path easily due to the thin layer of magic that he keeps between his feet and the ground. This thin layer of magic forms a firm barrier round his feet while keeping a fluid like layer on the ground for mobility.
As soon as the beam would pass him Gake would raise his right arm a little in the air, forming several floating armor piercing shards (demonic energy) in the air, and then in the next instance slash his entire arm down to send the five shards straight towards his opponent. Two of the shards that were sent flying towards Tristan should be aimed at his two guns, while the other three head towards his upper body. These shards should to damage if they come in contact with Tristan since he developed these shards to combat demons.
The first prototype managed to give demons minor cuts, but not much else. So Gake decided to pump in more demonic energy in the shards along with a sharper tip to be lodged into demons body. This, however, causes them to be a bit unstable. This extra energy causes the shards to be more brittle, and in many cases caused the shards to shatter in flight towards the target giving off a small explosion of demonic energy. Luckily these shards that Gake sent did not break despite how unstable they were.
With a low whistle at the passing of the energy beam, which blew up a good portion on land behind Gake, made him happy that he did not attempt to block or deflect the energy. Before Gake would even attempt to face a beam like that he would have to first prefect another of his experimental spells.

"Damn...Shoulda seen that coming." He said to himself, watching Gake effortlessly slide to the side, clearly standing on one of his walls. They were slight further apart now, and Tristan began to run at a decent clip. This was turning out to be quite the fire fight instead of the spar Gake had seemed to want initially. Tristan was running slightly back but had turned his lower body to the side so that he was circling as well. When the next shards came, which he could see more clearly than the rest for some reason, he sped up, moving faster then they were and out of the way, even if Gake could control them, they wouldn't hit, not yet at least.
Momentarily, Tristan lept, his massive strength carrying him high into the air and over Gake. Thinking of a new style of attack, a tiny manipulation of wind had him facing straight down over Gake, and he was sent spinning, "Chaos Rain!" He boomed, and the effect took hold again. Nineteen rounds remained in each clip, and they would all be spent in this attack. The balls of corresponding element formed at the barrels again while Tristan spun, creating a gray blur from Gake's perspective. Those index fingers of the hunters got to work then, pounding out rounds left and right as thirty-eight rounds left the two guns, nineteen light, nineteen dark.
Using his already active metal spell, the rounds arched out, surrounding Gake and zooming in on him from all sides. From every angle, bullets zoomed in, coming into Gake's proximity. In a similar manner of intention as the last attack, the reaction would set off when the beams either came within two feet or they hit a barrier. Obviously this guy had an impeccable degree of mobility with those barriers, it was time to seal his movement and go in for a full assault.
Once all the rounds exited the magazines, Tristan's thumbs found the ejection buttons and the clips flew out. Two more clips flew out of the holsters on the sides of the Kevlar 49 vest and inserted themselves into the slots, and remotely, the slides cocked back, prepping the guns for more fire. Tristan was a good twenty-five feet in the air at this point, just enough time to switch to a blade and defend if he needed to, especially with his metal element in full glory.

The shards were easily avoided again. It seemed that this new type lack to concealment and speed of his previous shards so they would be better used for close rang currently. More tweaking will have to be done in the future before he could add these to his arsenal of attacks.
Now it looked like Tristan was moving to get above Gake, most likely in some attempt to attack from the air. In a loud voice Gake then shouted, “You’re not getting away!” as he shouted Gake brought his right hand down (in a scope like fashion) and quickly rose it into the air creating an arch like barrier that shot into the air. Unfortunately, Tristan moved to fast for the attack to work.
”Chaos Rain”
At the sound of that Gake immediately looked up into the air to see Tristan spinning around in circle shooting his remaining shots at Gake. Swearing under his breath Gake immediately crouched, by bending his knees, as he placed his arms over his head with his fingers pointing into the air. Gake then tried to make a short of bowel shape barrier appear to absorb all of the attacks, but could not do it fast enough. Just as he was solidifying the barrier several shots from Tristan’s gun would blow the barrier up. What is worst was that the barrier was not solid yet so the falling pieces just disappeared.
“Crap.”
Was the last thing Gake could say before all the shots from Tristan’s rounds hit the ground around Gake. Even though none of the shots directly hit Gake, he still felt the damage from all of all the resulting shockwaves that ended up throwing him all over the place ripping up his shirt and pants. As soon as all the rounds were done, a body could be seen on the ground rather beaten up by the attack, but otherwise alright.
Now during this chaos where was Kurkizes? Well, he surprisingly alright on account that he was blasted on the other side of the arena. He just bumped his head on the ground, and for some strange reason thought it was ok to cry despite the injuries Gake had faced.
ooc: can anyone say over kill much?

Seeing through the ensuing smoke with a small degree of difficulty, Tristan was satisfied with the results and flipped himself around as he fell to the ground, his metal element throwing his guns back into their holsters. The hunter momentarily landed with a dull thud on the charred grass and dirt, collapsing his knees slightly to land more lightly. Igneus returned to a circling pattern, though kept an eye on the scene below.
Metal manipulation flung Tristan's sword back into his hand as he walked over to the felled Gake. "You alright?" He asked, rather rhetorically. Obviously the guy was gonna be in some heavy duty pain, but there was nothing blasted off or too badly damaged about him. The way it looked now, Tristan had won, but people did tend to play possum on occasion.
Keeping Remote Control going for now, Tristan simply stood a few feet away from his opponent, waiting for movement or indication that he was indeed out cold. That was the first time hed ever used that many element bullets at once, let alone using the chaos combo. It was kind of invigorating to let off that much power.
