^What to do, what to do...^ Mint thinks. Sighing, she flops herself onto her new bed and just lays there for a moment, then rolls over to reassess the room. It was comfortable, but relatively unfurnished. In fact, she had brought very little with her; she had never had many possessions and most of those had seemed frivolous when packing for a trip to a magical academy. ^This place is huge! When are classes? Are the people here annoying? Where do we eat?^ Her mind is host to a riot of questions.
She rolls onto her back and stares at the ceiling, which was now a clean white; a nice complement to the light salmon pink she had just painted the walls. She had arrived late that night and had been unable to sleep, so she had opted to commense room personalization. The yellow morning sunlight, now creeping in through her window, made the color seem to glow where it fell on the pink, and the fast-dry paint had long-since left its transient liquid state in favor of the permanent, solid form it was meant to finally take.
Suddenly sitting upright in an attempt to shake herself back into alertness, Mint violently musses her hair and surveys the paint stains scattered about her clothing, visibly pouting. ^Messy, messy, messy!^ she shouts inside her head, and she props her elbow on her knee and rests her chin in her hand as she gazes sideways out the window, clearly lost in though.
