Lumps With Your Tea? (Ziare, Jyo, Closed)

[Alastin]

Alastin hummed softly as he finally had his room fully up-to-date and to the point that he was happy with it. The beautiful afternoon air something that he could only smile over as he gazed outside. He was expecting Ziare today for one of thier usual meetings and conversations so he could get a bit closer to her and slowly help open her up. Alastin gave a smile at that as he lightly fiddled with the earring in his ear. Ziare. She had been such a wonderful and fun-loving person and she was still fun to be with if you knew where to look. Misae was napping so to speak in his mind but, she always at least kept one eye out for her summoner as Alastin set some tea onto brew at his kitchen. He had a rather large room for a student mostly because he was a healer and had a few things that a student didn't normally have. He gazed at his work bench that had been reorganized since Ziare was still twitchy over herbal stuff.

I really can't blame her given what happened...

Alastin replied to Misae with a warm smile mentally as he turned his attention to the sandwiches he had gotten from the cafeteria. Already cut in halves and of a variety the best part being was that he could just refridgerate any leftovers afterwords in his refridgerator. He hummed happily as he didn't have his wings not sensing a need for them really.

"Music," Alastin said softly he nodded to himself as he headed over to a cabinent and opened it revealing a sound system and CD rack. He chose a CD with classical symphony for it's soothing quality and put that in letting the music funciton almost as a background for the room. He hummed gently as he continued to set things up for this day. Another beautiful day and he was prepared to face it with smiles.

Bah always think of things positively, Misae.

Misae smiled at her bond mate's comment but, did not respond.

[Ziare]

Ziare skipped down the stairs. She had a smile on her face her hair was brushed and down swaying with each step. She never minded her room being so very far away from everything because she loved the solitude. Down on the lower floor she opened the door from the tower and into the dormitory.

She had been invited for tea and she was a bit excited. She had been getting better a bit lately and she even wore one of her first jewelry creations that matched her outfit today. A pair of blue jeans and a soft red peasants shirt that accented her just right. Around her neck she wore the white pearlescent amulet with the fire run engraved and a dragon on it with red and silver beeds.

Upon reaching Alastin's room she heard music and listened wondering if he had other company. But hearing nothing she knocked on the door and waited.

[Alastin]

Alastin heard the knock and gave a smile humming softly as he walked to the door himself and opened it giving a bright smile at Ziare. He was wiping his hands carefully on a linen cloth since he had just finished handling a powerful sleeping powder for medicinal purposes and put the cloth in a water-based solution to soak out. The soft symphony music was still playing and Alastin gave a huge smile upon seeing her first creation. Around his own neck was the crystal cross he had purchased in the city when he was with her and he smiled.

"It looks beautiful it reminds me of Armenius since he's a fire element," he said with a smile as he moved out of the way to let her in and gave a smile.

"It's a tad disorganized I'm afraid I've been laying down a design scheme hoping to eventually make an herb garden rather then relying on the cafeteria," he admitted with a small chuckle as he motioned her inside.

[Ziare]

Ziare returned the smile as Alastin answered the door. He was always willing to great her as such. She stepped into the room and her hand went to the amulet at her throat. She liked to run her fingers over the engraving when she was thinking. It had recently become a new habit but it was something she did a lot now.

"Thank you." she said softly at his compliment and blushed softly.

She sat at the table where they would be having tea and placed her hands in her lap. She was comfortable in this room. She had come and still came here a lot. It was the place of refuge for her and she smiled softly. It was near instant relief just to walk into the room she didn't even have to be treated. Sometimes just moving into the room gave her what she was seaking.

"I like the changes." she said looking around the room. She noticed the herbology was set so that she didn't see anything and that he had the things to start a garden on his balcony. She smiled.

"If you need help with the garden, I have experience." she offered turning her attention to Alastin.

[jyo]

Jyo walked out of his dorm room checking the box for pastage on it. He was shifting through the mail and saw a letter with Zaire's home address on it. It was adressed to Zaire and Jyo.
My god they still probably don't know. He thought. He considered transporting to Zaire right away. but then thought against it. He had vowed not to use it unless she needed it. And she knew how to get him to come. So instead he would have to find where she was.

It took a while but he found out the room she had gone to visit. A fellow student had seen her go into one of the dorms. Jyo fond it odd. But would bet it was friend of hers. He walked up to the door and knocked three times then patentily waited there.

[Alastin]

Alastin smiled at her offer in fact he could probably use the help because he wasn't sure how magic affected the growth of plants especially in an area such as the Arcane Academy. A place that was thousands of feet in the air and yet it's climate was rather pleasent like England during spring yet it went through all the seasons so beautifully so he heard. Alastin had only been here for a couple weeks but, he had seen Ziare constantly she was a constant friend and companion to the young healer. Varys had his infrequent appearences but, he still made Alastin uncomfortable in some ways he had been busy enough to where he hadn't met many others. He nodded as he walked over to where one of the plants were a beautiful mint plant that he was hoping to use quite often if it's growth had been accelerated he gave another smile as he touched the plant.

"That'd be great actually I'm really unsure how a garden would be affected up here at Arcane Academy since I'm just not sure how much we follow the natural laws up here." Alastin admitted as he closed the door and hummed softly as he carried the tray to his coffee table where he had a one of those large L-Shaped couches that went perfectly with it and sat it down with a gentle clank. He poured a cup of tea gently.

"So what have you been up to I haven't seen you for a couple days," he said with a soft smile at her as he opened a sugar container and got the small little tongs waiting for her to answer how many lumps she wanted with her tea. He heard the knock and blinked for a moment scratching his head.

"One moment," he said with a smile as he set the tongs down and walked to the door and opened it. Surprise surprise it was Jyo he blinked a few times having not expected him to show up at the room and that gave him a bit of worry.

"Come in come in no sense in you standing out here I was setting up tea and sandwiches anyways you can have some if you like," Trust Alastin naitivety to come into play.

[Ziare]

Ziare smiled as he poured her tea and she spooned in some sugar before nodding to him and stirring it gently. She sat back in the chair and sipped her tea gently as she listened to him. He was a good friend. Her very best friend if she had to put a label on it at all right now. But they were close and she liked that.

"I have been busy I suppose. Making my jewelry and working on learning how to manipulate the wire so that the jewelry is more ornate. Aside from that I've been practicing my summoning and have gained two more actually must have happened recently." she said with a soft smile. "And yourself?"

It was then a knock sounded on the door. Ziare immediatly put her tea down and moved away from the table moving far away from the door and working on figureing out which summon to pull out first. It was rare that anyone came to Alastin's room unless it was Varys and they both could usually sense it when it was him.

But when she saw Jyo enter a confused look crossed her face as she took her seat again. It seemed Alastin was as confused as she was. She sipped her tea and looked up at her winged ex boyfriend.

"Jyo?" she asked softly.

[jyo]

"Oh hello" Jyo said without any trace of emotion. he hadnt forgotten the incident at the infirmary. And this man had been anything but friend;y to him. Granted Jyo hadn't been kind but it had been in a less extreme fashion.
"I'll come in but I don't require food or drink as much as I appriciate the offer." he said then heard Zaire. He gave a slight smile when he saw her.
"Hello Zaire. There is a letter for you. It arrived at my dorm. It's from you're home. I figured you'de like it as quickly as possible with all things considered." he said.

[Alastin]

Alastin scratched his head lightly as he closed the door behind Jyo and rolled his eyes skyward. Great some angel this guy was more like cocky bastard that should be rejudged by those scales that were really big in Egyptian culture. Alastin gave a small smile at that as he heard Jyo's reply to not needing food or drink. Alastin gave a clear look that said it all as he looked at Ziare and gave a small silent sigh behind Jyo's back and walked back to the couch to where she was. Hearing Jyo handing her a letter he blinked for a moment wondering just how deep the history between the two was but, he decided not to pry. Instead he focused on the now he was very pleased with Ziare's results on having two new summons. That must have easily gotten her close to a dozen compared to his two.

What's his problem...

All he had was Misae and Light Archons he already knew it was probably a good idea to try and study under Ziare one of these days. Perhaps this week or something since he had free-time and Ziare was starting to show a few less restless nights which meant he had been able to sleep more. Alastin sat beside Ziare and nibbled on a sandwich kissing her cheek lightly and nuzzled against her lightly.

Oh well.

It wasn't something new or out of the ordinary he usually was touching Ziare in someway to help keep her happy and calm as he nuzzled his head against her shoulder.

[Ziare]

Ziare looked up and her eyes grew wide. A letter from home was not the best news in the world. She hadn't written in weeks and that was why she figured she had been sent a letter. She sighed softly and put her head in her hands for a moment rubbing her eyes as Alastin sat next to her again.

He kissed her cheek and she showed no reaction as it was a pretty normal occurance for him to be rather affectionate. It helped her stay used to touch especially from men and truthfully she didn't mind. She sighed again and patted Alastin's leg and got up off the couch going to Jyo.

He was so .. intimidating for some reason as big and tall as he was now that he was an angel. She was still getting used to him being dead. She was still getting used to a lot of things and wasn't ready for anything more permanent yet even though she kept awake at nights remembering how they used to be and couldn't be now. ONly because she was not ready to be touched in that way yet. And she knew that they had gone very far before but she was REALLY not ready for that.

"May I see the letter?" she asked softly holding out her hand. "thank you for bringing it to me, you're right it's probably important. I have been neglecting them." she whispered.

[jyo]

Jyo stiffend seeing Alastin kiss Zaire and nuzzle against her. She hadn't even let Jyo get so close apparently he had been given his fair share of unplesentness. But he decided not to let it disturbe him. As she showed no reaction. But it still wasn't something he liked. But as Zaire seemed to have cut away from him he had no right to do anything so he simply gave a small smile and handed her the envelope.
"As the entire reason I came to see you is to give you this of course you may have it." he said then sighed. He highly disliked Zaire being closer with another man than him. And he wasn't comfortable around here now.
"If there is nothing else I'll take me leave of you." he said and gave a small bow to both of then then headed to the door.

[Alastin]

Alastin saw her wince at the letter and knew that Ziare probably wasn't thrilled with it and gave a small nod.

"Forgive me if I'm about to sound alittle harsh Ziare but, I can't take it anymore,"

Alastin whispered in her mind before he turned to Jyo and got some tea from where he sat. He poured out a cup and got a couple lumps of sugar as he rubbed his eyes for a moment. You know what screw it Jyo had been nothing but, constant setbacks when claiming that he wanted to help her and be her friend. Alastin was tired of it and he was going to finally take a more direct approach with it all.

"For someone that claims to be her friend and say you loved her you seem to have an ego complex if she's spending time with another friend." Alastin said softly but, he looked up at Jyo for once with direct eyes the crystalline cross shimmering in the light. Misae perked up at her bond mate being direct because it was RARE. She tasted his irritation as he spoke even more.

"You come out here only to deliver a letter and get uncomfortable because it's not just you and her. How about pulling that tac of pride out of your rear and be sociable. So you came back from the dead a feat that will probably never be repeated. That shouldn't mean you're anti-social if you claim to be there for every step of the way." Alastin said calmly he hadn't lost his cool but, him being direct like that was extremely rare and it showed that Jyo's behavior had just irritated him. He closed his eyes and sipped the tea gently.

[Ziare]

Ziare took the letter and opened it. She read it quickly and turned white. Oh dear..

It is time that one of us come to visit. Your lack of letters lately has us worried and so we are sending Thomas. We know that you are most likely just busy learning and becoming as great as your mother was but we still want to check up on you.

We love you, Thomas should be there tomorrow,
Mom-

"Thomas is coming for a visit." she whispered.

She didn't hear the mental whisper of Alastin and she just stared at the letter. She touched Jyo gently for support because he knew what Thomas was like. He would find out and it wouldn't be pretty it would be best if Jyo stayed out of the way.

But then soon Alastin began to speak and she looked up and looked at him as he spoke. She was shocked that he could and did do this. She just blinked for a moment and then when he finished with that exceedingly smug look on his face she growled and gave him a look that could kill small animals.

"Well if you both are so intent on biting each others heads off over me then I am certainly not needed here. I have chosen neither of you and you can both go shove it somewhere the sun doesn't shine because I DON'T NEED THIS RIGHT NOW!"

With that she threw her letter down and stormed past Jyo out of her room. Summoning Sheeta so that they couldn't get past her she stormed back up to her tower room before slamming the door shut unsummoning Sheeta she lay on her bed.

"Stupid men!"

[jyo]

"Thomas.." Jyo said remembering the man from the visit. thomas seemed a good person but had ways of doing things that Jyo dissagreed with to the point of lightly attacking him in Zaire's defense.

He looked back at Alastin and before he could speak Zaire grew upset and stormed off. he could tell she wanted to be alone from the manner in wich it was done and would respect those wishes.

However he did turn to Alastin and glared at him.
"Perhapes I did get uncomfortable. But that was not a reason to fly off the handle like that. I don't mind her being with other friends but as I was going to marry her at one point I have every ight to get ouncomfortable in certain situations like that. pride and ego have nothing to do with it. And as you pointed out I died and came back. FOR HER!. You have no idea what I have sacrificed for her. So you should take that judgmental side and get rid of it as it's completely wrong." He said waiting there to hear what the man had to say as Zaire clearly didn't want to be bothered and he had nothing else to do right now.

[Alastin]

Ziare leaving was something that he expected and he sighed for a moment. It was sometimes a curse being a healer but, Jyo had tweaked him up the ass royally and it was time to get this out in the open. To get it settled rather then just keep it brewing until it exploded in their faces. He shook his head at Jyo's words and opened his eyes the golden gaze level with Jyo.

"That's nice, then why the hell did I have to keep her from killing herself? Why did I have to reach out to her with my magic where you nearly killed her. Twice you nearly killed her Jyo. TWICE," Alastin snapped as he stood up and sat his cup down carefully making his way around the table. He wasn't going to pursue Ziare he would deal with it later as he looked at Jyo and gave him a calm look. He gazed at the window for a moment as he considered the things that could be handled.

"Fly off the handle? Do you have any remote idea how hard it is to bring someone of Ziare's case out of the darkness and cold? Any idea? And don't give me the I've made sacrafices and I want to marry her line. I've heard it enough listening at my mother's work as she handled cases as she is a psychologist. You're making the same mistakes that common people make every day." Alastin was stressed and you know what all this progress with Ziare wore him down because he was not a full-fledged healer and did not have the ability to put his own mind at ease instantly.
