A reunion (Jyo)

Jyo rested his head against Zaire when she leaned into him. he always loved when she would rest against him. She always seeed to just meld perfectly with him. He thought for a few minutes as she spoke about going on a trip. but to go somewhere new.

"Hmm. A hard choice. Let me thinkf or a few minutes." he said and did just that. He was content in taking a while to think of where they should go. They had been to the woods and the beach. Also out to the countryside when visiting her family. That reminded him of her brother's upcoming visit. He'd have to speak with her about that after tonight.

"How about to to one of the jungles of the world somewhere? We haven't been to one of those unless you count the Beast revolution. And that was anything but relaxing. Mabey this time we can have a nice time there." He said.

While Jyo thought Ziare did some thinking of her own. It would do her good to get out of the academy for just a little while but she would definatly miss Alastin. She knew that she had to start being less dependent on him or else she was not going to ever get any better and he didn't need the pressure.

Ziare shifted and lay down in Jyo's lap setting her tea on the table. She picked up a piece of bread and munched on it gently and quietly while her head lay in his lap her hair falling all over him. She looked up and watched him think. He was cute when he was contemplating something. She reached up with her right hand and ran it over part of his wing. She wondered if it was like the stories she had heard that wings were really sensitive to touch or if it was something else.

When he spoke her hand fell back to her lap and she finished off the last bite of her bread. She thought about how it would be to go to a jungle to have fun. It might actually not be a bad place to go. She thought that maybe she and he would have fun. It would be like camping all over again and she had enjoyed that.

"Sounds good." she said softly. "And next time, I want to go to Japan, I've never been and I think it might be nice." she said.

She looked up at Jyo and took one of his hands. Entwining their fingers she lay it on her flat and thin stomach leaving the other one free to do with as he pleased.

Jyos wings were not turly sensitive to the touch. But there was a rather pleasent feeling about it. Not really something he could describe but the wing noticebly tensed and relaxed at her touch and a smile came over his face when it happened. he looked down at Zaire and though the smile stayed his eyes betrayed his pain.
"Well it is safe now. But I admit I'm still slightly worried. But I think it's more of me needing to go and face it." He said. he would like to go back to his mother's homeland and see it when he wasn't fighting for his and Zaire's chance to be together. To just go there with her could do him a world of good.

He rested onehand on her shoulder gentlt and stated stroking her hair again as she lay on his lap. He was simply enjoying her being with him for the time being. He looked down at her after a while.
"So do you have anything in mind for what we should do right now?" he asked.

Ziare closed her eyes when his hand began to stroke her hair gently. She didn't get much sleep it depended on how active Armenius was letting her nightmares getting through. He was slowly letting them come so she could get better over time and last night had been one of those nights.

She hated it when they came to plague her mind through the nights. It was like having to relive the torture night after night. To remember the cold and the ice. To remember his face that horrid face that would forever be burned in her memory. That smile when he was done. His voice as he spoke. She would never forget any of those things but to see them everynight seemed to truly harm her and it was at these times she ran to Alastin. For in his arms no nightmares seem to come.

But the fire raged in the fireplace. Ember breathed out regularly and Ziare feeling safe and at home finally slipped to sleep. Her eyes grew heavy her body relaxed but her hand never left his as she fell into a deep and restful sleep. The purple shadows under her blue eyes truly needed this sleep.

Jyo smiled seeing Zaire alseep. She needed it and she looked so peacful at the moment that Jyo was afrain to move and wake her.
"Ember. Please go get a blanket my friend." he said softly. Ember looked up and nodded going into Jyo's room and emerging later with a blanket held in his mouth. Jyo took the blanket and then gently scratched behind Ember's ears with his free hand. he still hadn't let go of Zaire's.
"Thank you." He said and Ember curled up again sitting there almost as if guarding Jyo and Zaire.

Jyo got the blanket over Zaire and shifted alightly sinking into the couch a bit more and looked down at Zaire as she slept. It took a while but after time he fell asleep as well. His wings folding ove Zaire and himself. The right wing covering over her like a second blanket coming up to her chin and the other going over himself.

Ziare felt the warmth of a blanket and something else wrapping around her tightly. She felt like she was wrapped in a huge coccoon and she slept so very well. She was tired so often and as she nuzzled into Jyo when he lay down beside her slept even better. She was a very slight girl and didn't take up much room on the couch so together they fit very well.

Six long hours later she stirred but did not wake. Instead she nuzzled into the comforting warmth that was Jyo. A little while later as the first rays of sun hit her face gently her eyes opened and she smiled softly. It was warm here and she had never slept so long in her life unless she was sick. She felt so rejuvinated right now and her smile got bigger.

She stirred slightly and stroked Jyo's face lovingly as she watched him sleep. He was so peaceful and she smiled brushing his red hair away from his face as she continued stroking. She couldn't help but smile. He was so.. so sweet to her even after everything that happened he wanted her back now more than ever.

Jyo's head moved slightly when Zaire stroked his cheek. As if he was prolonging the touch. After a few minutes he opened his white eyes and saw Zaire and smiled. He haden't woken up to her face in a long time. Not since before coming out of the coma. To see her first thing when he woke up was wonderful.

"Good morning." He said softly utting his arms around her. He decided to lay there for a while and just have her with him. They stayed like that for nearly a half hour when Jyo spoke again.
"Are you hungery. I could cook breakfest if you'de like." He said sitting up but not moving from where he was yet.

Ember woke up and stretched out before standing. he looked at Jyo and Zaire and had the look in his eyes suggesting he would be smiling if his mouth was like a human's. He didn't speak and simply walked to the large dishes Jyo had been setting out for him and started eating.

Ziare smiled and she kissed him gently on the lips. The feel of his arm around her made her smile. He was so warm and so sweet to her. It had been so very long since she had woken up in the fresh morning light next to Jyo. It was nice to have someone to wake up next to.

"I'll get breakfast." she said softly as she kissed him one last time.

She got up off the couch careful not to harm his wing. Straightening out her shirt and her jeans she slipped off her shoes and set them aside. She wanted to make breakfast for him because it was important to her and it was part of their lives. She went into the kitchen and pulled out eggs and bacon from the refridgerator.

Fishing around she got some pans and things together so that she could make them the perfect breakfast. She broke the eggs into the frying pan and smiled at the sound of them simmering against the butter. In another skillet she began laying her bacon down so it would all be ready at the same time.

Humming softly she continued cooking adding a few spices to make it even better. She wanted thier first breakfast to be perfect. When it was all finally finished she put it on two plates evenly and poured some fresh orange juice before she brought it to Jyo on a tray.

"Hope you're hungry." she said softly as she sat down with the tray in her lap.

"Okay then. If you'de like." He said pulling his wing back to it's normal resting position to help Zaire not harm it. He stood up and smelled something coming from the kitchen. He was going to see if she wanted a hand when E,ber came back in and looked at Jyo.
"Just sit down. It's clear she wants to make breakfest herself so let her. Besides I want to talk with you while she makes it." He said keeping the speech only between Jyo and himself. Jyo sat down.
"What do you want to speak about?" he asked with a curious look on his face. he kept his voice down so Zaire would only hear sounds and not actual words. Besies he and Ember talking wasn't a rare thing.

Ember sat down on his hind legs and locked eyes with his other half.
"First I am glad you and Zaire seemed to have fixed things between yourselves. She is important to me as well. Just as much as she is to you though in a different manner." Said Ember but then his tone changed.
"However we share many of the same memories and I can read some of your thoughts. I know you still blame yourself for what happened. And I'm tired of it. You aren't going to be tuly happy and wont recover until you accept it wasn't your fault. Sure you might have been able to stop it if you knew what was happening. But you didn't. You couldn't plan for it. Stop beating yourself up over this matter and move on. Zaire is back with us and the threat of your family curse is gone. I won't say anymore on this matter. Just do what I say." Said Ember and nuzzeled against Jyo's leg and his ears then twitched.
"Here she comes. I'll leave you two alone for now. Think on what I said. I'm going to sleep now. I was busy keeping an eye on you two last night. Someone had come by knocking. I managed to get them away. Apparently I grolw louder than what people are used to." He said with a bit of amusment in his voice as he went into Jyo's room and jumped into the bed and curled up finally sleeping.

Jyo looked over at Zaire as she came in bearing a wonderful smelling meal. It looked very good too. Even though he didn't need to eat Jyo's mouth almost watered.
"Well I am now. It looks great. Thak you." he said and waited for Zaire to sit before eating. A sign that he still had his large sense of courtosy. He didn't speak throguhout the meal. And waited until Zaire was done.
"So is there anything you want us to do today. Or is there something else you already had planned?" he asked.

Ziare sat down next to Jyo and they ate in utter silence. There was just no reason to speak right now. It was perfect just being together at this moment and not having to worry about the past or the future. Just living in the moment and for once Ziare actually felt hungry. She smiled softly at Jyo who seemed to swallow rather than taste and chew his food.

It wasn't but fifteen minutes before she was finished and she took the plates putting them back on the tray and setting it aside. She thought about what she wanted to do today and she leaned back.

"I suppose we could go on that date today. Perhaps part now and meet up a bit later like for a real date?" she asked softly turning to look at Jyo.

They had been together so long that dating had become obselete and she couldn't remember the last time they had gone out to eat. Or gone to a movie or shopping around the area. She wanted to date Jyo get to know him better so that if it was meant to be they could get back together again. She stretched out a bit.

"What do you say if you meet me at say.. six at my dorm and we can go from there. Unless all those stairs are too much for you in which case I can come down here." she said softly.

"The meal was wonderful. Thank you very much." Jyo said smiling as he grabbed the trays and put them in his sink. He'd wash them later. He came back out and Zaire suggested the course of their day together. he thought it sounded like a good idea.

"Alright then. Theres a couple of things I want to get done beforehand anyways. that should work out fine." He said walking over and embracing her.
"And the stairs aren't a problem. I doubt they could wear me out after all I've been through." he said chuckeling.

Jyo held Zaire in his arms for a few moments and he breathed in deeply inhaling her scent. She smelled wonderful as always. He ran his fingers through her hair and kissed her breaking off after a few minutes.
"Well I hate to say it but I think it's about time we parted if I want to get anything else done before I meet you tonight. Six at your dorm right?" he said

Ziare smiled and stood as Jyo left the room to put the things away. She rubbed her eyes out of habit and looked at the fire. It had long since gone out but the memories were still fresh in her mind as she thought about the night she had spent here sleeping in the arms of Jyo.

He came over and hugged her and she returned it. Though he was colder in temperature she still could smell him. The scent that he always carried with him only it had a more ethereal scent to it now. She nuzzled deeply into his neck just breathing him in as if she would forget everything about him and that would be the end of the world.

Pulling back he kissed her for a long time. It was their longest kiss since yesterday and she returned it for some time. She was doing her best to settle back into life with him but the kiss was a bit too long and she pulled back after only a moment or two.

"My dorm at six." she repeated before she headed out the door. It had been a good night and now she wanted to go check on her best friend and to get some things done before she went out on her date.

Jyo watched Zaire leave his dorm and smiled. it was good to be with her like this again. yes things were different. But some of the changes had heled them both. Jyo truly had nothing hidden from her anymore. And Zaire seemed to be acting slightly more like he remembered.

Jyo went to his room and got some cloths out and amde some adjustments to them. He wasn't going to get eleboratly dressed for the night. But he planned to look nice. he also had a few other things to attend to before he left to meet Zaire again.
