Tonight, Mint has some free time, and decides to take a break from it all! She is wearing an overlarge pink t-shirt which is now functioning as a short nightgown. If she was going to be out in public, she would be wearing something much less very-nearly-revealing, but she is alone in her room, so who cares? Some of her blonde hair is pulled into two sloppy pigtails that hang down and frame the sides of her face, and her expression is one of intense concentration. She lies on her stomach on the bed, staring out across the room at her TV. There is the couch too, but she's comfy where she is, so it's all good. In her hands is her lucky Gamecube controller, and the screen displays one of her favorite games for the system, Smash Brothers Melee. There's nothing like a good, violent game to clear the mind of life's worries and frustrations, in Mint's opinion.
Mint wins the current match with a lucky item-throw from offscreen! She laughs out loud and kicks her legs a bit, pleased with herself, and pauses to grab some candy corn from a bowl on the bed next to her. Mint notices now that the door is partially open, but she is too relaxed to really care. >It's gonna be a fine evening!< she thinks, and goes back to playing, cheerfully.

Xavier had been wandering the halls that night. He was a little restless, he had wanted to go hunting today but it had rained all day. Xavier was a bad hunter in the rain, it not only got on his nerves but the muddied soil always made tracking his prey hard. So he had taken to wandering the halls of his dorm floor and he heard loud noises eminating from one of the rooms. His features perked up as he heard what he thought were the noises of Super Smash Brothers Melee. That was his favorite video game and he thought it would make a great way to ease his stress.
Unfortunately he had not yet gotten his hands on a GameCube. He decided to knock gently on the persons door from which the noises were eminating. He didn't know if she could hear him or not so he opened the door a crack.
"Um hello, I heard someone playing Super Smash Bros Melee and I was just wondering if I might join in?" he asked, feeling a little embarassed at just barging into someone's room like this. He grinned sheepishly as he stood in the doorway waiting for an answer.

Mint looks over to the man in the door and grins. "Sure thing! Grab a controller." She says, and pats the bed on the other side of the bowl of candy-corn, indicating that he could sit there if he liked. Absently, Mint tugs the back of her t-shirt/night-gown down; she really isn't properly dressed for company, but this guy seemed pretty nice, so she decides not to worry about it. "The name's Mint, by the way. Welcome to my humble abode!" She grins again and tosses her hair to get it out of her face, and she holds a hand out for a handshake.

Xavier grinned brightly as she said he could come in and hopped on the bed, sitting cross-legged on the spot she had patted and grabbeda controller. He was almost instantly absorbed in the game as he was mashing on the buttons furiously. Xavier sighed a little as he got knocked out of the round, one of the computer-controlled characters had managed to get the Hammer pick-up and it made short owrk of him.
He shook her hand with a grin, "Xavier Mcallister, a pleasure to meet you," he said with a friendly smile as he turned back to the game. Concentrating as used Fox's mirage dash ability to zip around the screen, "Nice place you've got here Mint," he said with a triumphant chuckle as he managed to knock out one of the computer-controlled characters.

Lexi was looking for Xavier this night. Hoping that they could watch a movie. Maybe cuddle in their bed and watch a movie in each others arms before they fell asleep. She loved that kind of thing lately and she had just gotten the new Xmen movie and so she really wanted to watch it with him.
She knew he was restless. He had wanted to hunt today but couldn't because it had poured. She felt bad for him and had tried to keep him entertained but had failed and he had left their dorm some time ago. But now she had entertainment prepared and so she was looking for him.
Dressed to kill she walked through the dorms. Tight blue jeans hugged her curves and black mini dress went over her hips nearly like a second skin as she walked through the dorms. Her high heeled boots clicked on the tile and her hair had been curled like she had at prom. She walked looking for him hoping to find him but she hadn't run into him yet.
But then she heard his voice talking to a girl in her room. for a moment she got mad her fists clenching. But no. She was jumping to conclusions. She put her hand on the door and a smile on her face. Opening the door she stepped in.
"There you are Xavier, I was looking for you. Pardon the intrusion, miss, but I was merely looking for my boyfriend, I hope you don't mind if I join you." she said closing the door.
Not waiting for her answer she walked to the bed and slid into Xavier's lap leaning into him. She kissed his neck and watched him play the game.

Xavier grinned as he was now just one on one with Mint. The battle was raging furiously and Xavier didn't know how long he could stay in it. He dashed away from her and activated his shield saving himself from a cheap shot with the ray gun. The battle continues to rage as the two characters on-screen traded blow after blow without any sign of letting up. A little perspiration beaded on Xavier's forehead as he desperately mashed the buttons of the controller. He had just taken a heavy hit from the baseball bat pick-up and was close to defeat. Xavier wasn't planning on giving up yet and had a counter-attack worked out when all of the sudden he heard her voice.
He smiled brightly as she walked in, looking insanely gorgeous as usual, and sat down on his lap. The way he kissed her neck made him shiver a little. He was suprised that she hadn't gone off, he was alone in a room with a girl and here was Lex perfectly fine with it. But he noticed the way she was being rather affectionate, he had a feeling she was making it known that he was hers, "Hey Lex, I didn't know you were looking for me," he said with a smile even though the screen read Game Over Player 1 Wins. He returned her kiss with a smile, she really could make anything better.

Mint finds herself bursting out laughing now. "Hi there, welcome, come on in! Ahh, I see you have already..." It warms her heart to see a trusting couple like these two, but she can't help but think somewhere in the back of her mind >Hehe...possessive much?< Mint internally shrugs it off and grabs some more candy. "Have some, miss...errr...did you say what your name was?" Mint laughs again; the whole situation is quite funny, and goes back to the game. Xav is'nt too bad of a player. Mint jacks the comps up to level 9 and turns off the items.

Lexi felt him kiss her back and she smiled softly. He held her close to him and her eyes closed gently as he spoke to her. She smiled and looked up at him. She didn't mind that he was playing a game in fact she was content to sit right here with him and let him play his heart out.
"I just thought that you'd like to watch a movie so I went to town and got one but you weren't home when I returned so I looked." she said with a shrug.
She smiled as he lost and she chuckled kissing his cheek. She looked up at him with a wink.
"Awww Xav looks like you suck." she chuckled.
Mint got her attention again she turned to the blonde girl with the pigtails and smiled.
"My name is Lexi." she said holding out her hand for the girl. "Sorry for barging in, I hope you don't mind." she said nice and cheefully.

Xavier chuckled a little as the game restarted and Mint ramped up the difficulty of the computer-controlled characters. Xavier's eyes were glued to the screen as his fingers flew across the buttons, cpu-controlled characters fell one by one as his character Fox McCloud dashes across the screeen using his Mirage Dash to keep his enemies on their toes. He returned Lex's kiss, able to keep his concentration on both her and the game at hand.
"Oh I suck huh?" He asked with a grin and picked up one of Mint's extra controllers and handed it to her, "Well here, put up or shut up babe," he said with a grin as he kissed her cheek and got back into the game. He had a few close calls but for the most part he was holding his ground against the advanced level cpu-controlled characters.

Mint take's Lex's handshake cheerfully in the spirit in which it was offered. Lexi seems like a nice person too, after all. "It's no problem, Lexi, visitors are always welcome! I'm surprised I've never really seen either of you around before, but it's great to make a new connection every once in a while."
This game is so fun; what a great way to relax. Mint giggles as she launches another cpu player into orbit with a wavedashed up-smash. Wavedashing is so easy with Luigi, who is her character of choice for that very reason.
Mint grins and decides to make some conversation as they game. "Seems to me you guys are quite an item. That must be a really amazing thing for you. Have you been together long?"

Lexi felt the controller be put into her hand and she stared at it. What the hell was she supposed to do with this? These buttons obviously did something but she didn't know what. Maybe they controlled the little people on the screen? She looked up and then looked at Xavier's fingers running over the buttons without even looking. He knew her past. Or what little of it she knew and he knew that she hadn't ever seen a video game in her life much less a controller.
Suddenly, she felt really, really stupid. She didn't know the most basic teenage stuff. Softly she sat the controller down again and just watched the tv. She didn't say anything. She wasn't mad but she was definatly a bit depressed. She heard Mint's comment and turned her hazel eyes to the girl.
"We've been together a month, and thank you for the compliment." she said with a soft smile.
But her voice was a bit despondent as she turned her eyes back to the screen. She would just watch. It would take too long to teach her this and besides she didn't want to ruin the night for them. She just wanted to be here with Xavier so as long as she could do that right now she didn't care about the game. She just watched her eyes held that look that she had when she was missing something. Like her past. It was just gone. She didn't have one that she knew of.
"I'll just watch." she whispered softly as she leaned forward in Xavier's lap pulling her legs up to her chest she lay her head on her knees and watched the tv. But her eyes seemed a bit unfocused.

Xavier had been a bit too absorbed in the game to notice his mistake at first. His fingers flew like blurs over the buttons as he battled relentlessly against the computer opponents. He was doing well and holding his ground against the advanced level cpu-controlled characters. Xavier was rather surprised and pleased with himself usually he did not do so well. Maybe it was having Lex here with him, having someone that was worth impressing, that made him work that extra little bit to try and do good even though he knew it was just a game. But then the tone of her voice and the way she gently leaned back against him after he had offered her a controller made him stop. That stop was all it took to knock him out of the game but it didn't matter right now.
Xavier shook his head a little as he realized his mistake and he whispered in her ear, "I'm sorry Lex," then he took her hands in his and set them on the controller, "Here let me show you," he said as he moved her hands over the buttons showing her which buttons corresponded to which actions and how to manipulate the character on-screen, "I'm sorry," he whispered kissing her cheek as he let her lean against him while he taught her how to play. Xavier smiled a little, there wasn't many things he had the opportunity to teach Lex and he was glad for this opportunity to show her how to do something in a hands-on manner.
